  • The bending process for the curved tube can be developed by the hot metal extrusion machine with the multiple punches moving in the different velocity. The bending phenomenon has been studied to be occurred by the different of velocity at the die extrusion. The difference of velocity at the die exit section can be obtained by the different velocity of billets through the multi-hole container and by the welding of billets inside the porthole die chamber. The multiple billets are moving differently by the multiple extrusion punches controlled by PLC with the servo mechanism units. The results of the experiments show that the curved tube can be bended by the extrusion process and that the defects such as the distortion of section and the thickness change of thick tube, tile folding and wrinkling of thin tube can not be shown after the bending processing by the extrusion bending machine.

  • The Kori Unit 1 nuclear power plant, which is planned to be dismantled after permanent shutdown, is expected to generate a large amount of various types of radioactive waste during the dismantling process. For the disposal of Very-low-level waste, which is expected to account for the largest amount of generation, the Korea Radioactive waste Agency (KORAD) is in the process of detailed design to build a 3-phase landfill disposal facility in Gyeongju. In addition, a large container is being developed to efficiently dispose of metal and concrete waste, which are mainly generated as Very low-level waste of decommissioning. In this study, based on the design characteristics of the 3-phase landfill disposal facility and the large container under development, radiation exposure dose evaluation was performed considering the normal and accident scenarios of radiation workers during operation. The direct exposure dose evaluation of workers during normal operation was performed using the MCNP computer program, and the internal and external exposure dose evaluation due to damage to the decommissioning waste package during a drop accident was performed based on the evaluation method of ICRP. For the assumed scenario, the exposure dose of worker was calculated to determine whether the exposure dose standards in the domestic nuclear safety act were satisfied. As a result of the evaluation, it was confirmed that the result was quite low, and the result that satisfied the standard limit was confirmed, and the radiational disposal suitability for the 3-phase landfill disposal facility of the large container for dismantled radioactive waste, which is currently under development, was confirmed.

  • The bending process for the circular curved tube and rectangular curved tube with fins can be developed by the hot metal extrusion machine with the multiple punches moving in the different velocity. The bending phenomenon can be controlled by the two variables. The one of them is the difference of velocity at the die exit section by the different velocity of billets through the multi-hole container. The other is the one by the different hole diameter. The results of the experiment show that the circular curved tube with fins and rectangular curved tube with pins can be formed by the extrusion process and that the curveture of the product can be controlled by the velocity of punch and diameter of container hole and that the defects such as the distortion of section and the thickness change of the wall of tube the folding and wrinkling of thin tube and fins did not happen after the bending processing by the extrusion bending machine.

  • 철골 구조물의 발파해체에 사용하는 성형폭약은 국내외 사용이 제한적이거나 수급이 불가능한 경우가 많이 발생하며, 기존의 선형 성형폭약은 규모가 크고, 강재의 두께가 두꺼운 철골 구조물을 절단하기 위한 충분한 절단 성능을 확보하지 못하였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 고폭속, 고압력의 산업용 폭약을 사용하여 금속제트를 발생시켜 절단 할 수 있는 장치가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 철골 구조물의 발파해체에 적용하기 위해 3가지 타입의 장약용기를 제작하였다. 절단 성능 실험을 통해 다양한 두께의 H형 강재와 강판에 대한 절단 성능을 평가하였고, 실험결과 충분한 절단성능을 확인하였다.

소결 금속 의 압출 에 관한 연구 (Extrusion of Sintered Porous Metal)

  • Forward extrusion of sintered porous metal through conical converging die is analyzed using slab method on the basis of plasticity theory for porous metal. It is taken into consideration in the analysis that the material in the container is continuously recompressed on densified until the process reaches steady state. Extrusion pressure and distribution of relative density from the die inlet to the outlet are calculated under various process variables. The results are useful in finding initial relative density of the billet, reduction of area and cone angle of the die in order to get required final products. Experiments are done for porous copper and then compared with the computed results.

  • Fine metal (Au, Ag, Cu) wire was extruded with hydrostatic extrusion process in cold condition. A vertical type 900kN hydrostatic extruder has been developed. The extruder was facilitated with high pressure container which are available for hot and cold forming. The container endured 1400MPa internal pressure and extrusion ratio To was achieved in cold forming for Au fine wire which had $600{\mu}m$ diameter. In contrast to the conventional macroscopic-sized-billet fine-wire requires higher extrusion pressure and effect of friction is much more significant.

  • It was investigated that the "ㄱ" type angle product could be bended with a curvature during extrusion by extru-bending process. The bending process for the "ㄱ" type angle product can be developed by the hot metal extru-bending machine with the two punches moving in the different velocity. Because of non-symmetry of product, it is important to design the ruled surface contour of dies cavity for the welding and bending with two billets. So it is designed that the multi-hole container has two non-symmetric holes and non-symmetric contour of dies entrance. The results of the experiment show that "ㄱ" type angle product can be bended by the extrusion process and that the curvature of the product can be controlled by the velocity of punch and that the defects such as the distortion of section and the thickness change of the product and the folding and wrinkling of the product did not happen after the bending processing by the extrusion bending machine.

  • The bending phenomenon has been known to be occurred by the different of velocity at the die exit. The difference of velocity at the die exit section can be obtained by the different velocity of billets through the multi-hole container and by the cohesion of billet inside the porthole die chamber. The bending phenomenon can be controlled by the different hole diameter. The experiments using aluminium material for the curved tube product had been done. The results of the experiment show that the curved tube product can be formed by the extru-bending process without the defects such as the distortion of section and the thickness change of the wall of tube and the folding and wrinkling. It is known that the welding and extruding of each billet has done simultaneously although the curved tube is extruded with four billets.
