Objectives: Ischemic heart disease (IHD) is a major cause of death in Korea and known to result from several occupational factors. This study attempted to estimate the current magnitude of IHD mortality due to occupational factors in Korea. Methods: After selecting occupational risk factors by literature investigation, we calculated attributable fractions (AFs) from relative risks and exposure data for each factor. Relative risks were estimated using meta-analysis based on published research. Exposure data were collected from the 2006 Survey of Korean Working Conditions. Finally, we estimated 2006 occupation-related IHD mortality. Results: For the factors considered, we estimated the following relative risks: noise 1.06, environmental tobacco smoke 1.19 (men) and 1.22 (women), shift work 1.12, and low job control 1.15 (men) and 1.08 (women). Combined AFs of those factors in the IHD were estimated at 9.29% (0.3-18.51%) in men and 5.78% (-7.05-19.15%) in women. Based on these fractions, Korea's 2006 death toll from occupational IHD between the age of 15 and 69 was calculated at 353 in men (total 3,804) and 72 in women (total 1,246). Conclusion: We estimated occupational IHD mortality of Korea with updated data and more relevant evidence. Despite the efforts to obtain reliable estimates, there were many assumptions and limitations that must be overcome. Future research based on more precise design and reliable evidence is required for more accurate estimates.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational culture types and organizational effectiveness in the hospitals and to identify the cultural and organizational characteristics of the hospitals with high organizational effectiveness. Data were collected from May 12 to June 14. 1997 through questionnaire taken by 1.118 nurses working in 10 hospitals with more than 800 beds and from annual reports published by the hospitals. The instruments were used for collecting the data: Organizational Culture Questionnatire and Organizational Characteristics Questionnatire developed by the researcher. Mowday's Organizational Commitment Questionnaire. Taylor & Bovver's General Satisfaction Scale. The Results were as follows: 1. The meta culture of the hospital organizations was the conservative culture. 2. There were significant differences of the four organizational cultural types - affiliative culture. innovative culture. conservative culture. task culture among the hospitals(p=.00). 3. The hospital organizations were classified in to three cultural patterns. each of which had similar cultural composition. on the basis of the scores indicating the similarity and difference of the foul' organizational cultural types among the hospitals. The organization of each group represents conservative- dominant culture. innovative-dominant culture and competitive culture. 4. Nurses' organizational commitment and job satisfaction were significantly different among the cultural patterns(p=.00). In other words. the hospitals with innovative-dominant culture showed higher organizational commitment and job satisfaction than ones with conservative-dominant culture and competitive culture. And also. the growth rate of outpatients and inpatients were significantly different among the cultural patterns(p<.05). The hospitals with innovative -dominant culture showed higher growth rate of outpatients and inpatients than ones with conservative-dominant culture and competitive culture. 5. The hospitals with conservative-dominant culture and competitive culture showed higher level of centralization than ones with innovative -dominant culture(p=.00) And the hospitals with competitive and innovative-dominant culture showed higher level of communication than those with conservative-dominant culture(p=.00) Finally. the hospitals with innovative-dominant culture showed higher level of managerial strategy than those with conservative-dominant and competitive culture. among which the latter showed higher level of managerial strategy than the former(p=.00).

Petascale systems(so called supercomputers) have been mainly used for supporting communication-intensive and tightly-coupled parallel computations based on message passing interfaces such as MPI(HPC: High-Performance Computing). On the other hand, computing paradigms such as High-Throughput Computing(HTC) mainly target compute-intensive (relatively low I/O requirements) applications consisting of many loosely-coupled tasks(there is no communication needed between them). In Korea, recently emerging applications from various scientific fields such as pharmaceutical domain, high-energy physics, and nuclear physics require a very large amount of computing power that cannot be supported by a single type of computing resources. In this paper, we present our HTCaaS(High-Throughput Computing as a Service) which can leverage national distributed computing resources in Korea to support these challenging HTC applications and describe the details of our system architecture, job execution scenario and case studies of various scientific applications.

In weapon assignment studies to defend against threats such as ballistic missiles and long range artillery, threat assessment was partially lacking in analysis of various threat attributes, and considering the threat characteristics of warheads, which are difficult to judge in the early flight stages, it is very important to apply more reliable optimal solutions than approximate solution using LP model, Meta heuristics Genetic Algorithm, Tabu search and Particle swarm optimization etc. Our studies suggest Generic Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm in the basis of various attributes of threats. First job of studies analyzes information on Various attributes such as the type of target, Flight trajectory and flight time, range and intercept altitude of the intercept system, etc. Second job of studies propose Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm were applied to obtain a more reliable solution by reflection the importance of the interception system. It analyzes ballistic missiles and long-range artillery was assigned to multiple intercept system by real time threat assessment reflecting various threat information. The results of this study are provided reliable solution for Weapon Assignment problem as well as considered to be applicable to establishing a missile and long range artillery defense system.

This study examined the effect sizes of psychological burnout-related factors on the psychological burnout of early childhood teachers by applying meta - analysis focusing on master 's theses, doctoral dissertations and journals that have been published in Korea for the past 20 years. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the total effect size, the factor group, the sub-factor, and the positive and negative effect factors of the inducing and inhibiting factors showed a significant effect size. Second, in terms of inducing factors, the task problem group showed a larger effect size than the negative relationship group. Third, among the lower factor of the negative relationship group, all the sub factors excluding the negative relationship with the director, effect size showed a medium effect size. Fourth, task stress showed the greatest effect size among the sub factors of the task factor group, followed by role conflict, task overload, and role ambiguity. Fifth, resilience showed the greatest effect size among the inhibition factors, followed by organizational support factor, teacher efficacy factor, social support factor, and emotional factor. Sixth, all sub factors of the emotional labor factor group, organizational support factor of the organizational support factor group, general teacher efficacy factor of the teacher efficacy factor group, and all sub factors of social support factor Medium effect size. In addition, the lower factor of all the other factors showed a large effect size. Seventh, of the effect factors, job satisfaction factor, depression factor, and turnover intention factor all showed a large effect size.
Spatial perception and spatial structure that focus on psychological effects produce a real force through the medium of space that can control human actions, even their psychology. The job of understanding the characteristics and effects of architectural spaces that recognize the relationship between architecture and human beings, including the psychological dimension, is an alternative search for quality spaces that can increase the mutual relationship between space and human beings. This paper introduces two propositions called "space" and "psychology" in order to discover a meta-pattern connecting space and the human mind with the aim of systematizing that internal network and establishing a new architectural system concerning space and human beings. This paper also proposes a method of accessing physical spaces that can affect psychological states through a conceptual substitution called "extension," with the aim of discovering the implications inherent in such extensive relationships and proposing a methodology of organizing psychological spaces based on the characteristics of that extensive connection. The means of extensively connecting psychological spaces were classified into the three categories of memory system, sensory system, and motor system, and their corresponding extensive connection characteristics called "simultaneous relativity," "non-mediated immediacy," and "purification process" were also derived. These characteristics accelerate the changes in psychological intensity and function as principles that organize psychological space.
Purpose: The purposes of this study were to review the research trends and to identify developmental direction of studies on community interventions according to the ecological model for workers with cardiovascular diseases (CVD) risk factors. Methods: Electronic databases including PsycINFO, PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library and the reference lists of articles were searched. All articles were assessed in relation to inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 29 researches being reviewed. Each review was critically appraised by two authors using a guideline of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses). Results: Nowadays, interventions in organizational level, integrated and web-based interventions are increasing to prevent CVD risk factors for workers. Even though the importance of psychosocial aspects to prevent CVD, the only 2 studies included psychosocial factors in the outcome variables. Also, 14% among 29 researches were based on theories. Conclusion: Psychosocial factors such as job stress, depression, and emotional labor could be CVD risk factors. Therefore, interventions including psychosocial aspects are needed to prevent workers' CVD risks more effectively. Theory-based interventions are needed to support interventions' effects and to develop the nursing science.

Recently, the needs for the virtual reality service of multimedia contents on the web are increasing. The services are provided by the parameter value of attribute informations of the contents. The Conventional method for managing the parameters is storing the informations separately for the contents, in this method managing and implementing the system are to be costing job. In this paper, a virtual reality service based on meta data is proposed. For the storing and managing the parameter information, we use the free space of the JPEG images. And for testing the effectiveness of the proposed system, we implemented the prototype virtual reality service model.
This study utilized a cross-temporal meta-analysis to explore shifts in self-efficacy levels among Korean college students from 1999 to 2022. We expected that increases in authoritative parenting styles, narcissism levels among students, and individualism in Korea might have positively influenced the self-efficacy of college students over the years. Conversely, growing economic disparities, decreasing class mobility, and the increasing instability of job markets might have had negative effects on self-efficacy. To investigate this, we analyzed 293 self-efficacy studies involving Korean college students published between 1999 and 2022, encompassing a total of 88,904 participants. Our criteria included studies that used the three most prevalent self-efficacy scales in Korea, focused solely on Korean college students, were cross-sectional with a one-time self-efficacy measurement, and provided essential statistics for our analysis. The results indicated no significant change in the self-efficacy levels of Korean college students over the observed period from 1999 to 2022. Additionally, we examined correlations between self-efficacy and various social indicators from different time points (20, 15, 10, and 5 years prior, as well as the year of data collection). Findings revealed that both birth rate and consumer price fluctuation rate were consistently negatively correlated with self-efficacy, while gross national income was positively correlated. This study is the first to assess Korean college students' self-efficacy levels using a cross-temporal meta-analysis, offering foundational knowledge for implementing such analytical methods for subsequent research and providing an indirect assessment of the generational gap theory. Finally, the limitations of the study and the direction for future research were discussed.
