This paper related with the DSE-MMA (Dithered Sign-Error MMA) that is the simplification of computational arithmetic number in blind equalization algorithm in order to compensates the intersymbol interference which occurs the passing the nonlinear communication channel in the presence of the band limit and phase distortion. The SE-MMA algorithm has a merit of H/W implementation for the possible to reduction of computational arithmetic number using the 1 bit quantizer in stead of multiplication in the updating the equalizer tap weight. But it degradates the overall blind equalization algorithm performance by the information loss at the quantization process compare to the MMA. The DSE-MMA which implements the dithered signed-error concepts by using the dither signal before qualtization are added to MMA, then the improved SNR performance which represents the roburstness of equalization algorithm are obtained. It has a concurrently compensation capability of the amplitude and phase distortion due to intersymbol interference like as the SE-MMA and MMA algorithm. The paper uses the equalizer output signal, residual isi, MD, MSE learning curve and SER curve for the performance index of blind equalization algorithm, and the computer simulation were performed in order to compare the SE-MMA and DSE-MMA applying the same performance index. As a result of simulation, the DSE-MMA can improving the roburstness and the value of every performance index after steady state than the SE-MMA, and confirmed that the DSE-MMA has slow convergence speed which meaning the reaching the seady state from initial state of adaptive equalization filter.
Background: Tritium (3H) analysis in groundwater was difficult because of its low activity. Therefore, the electrolytic enrichment method was used. To improve the detection limit and for performing simple analysis, a high-volume counting vial with the available liquid scintillation counter (LSC) was investigated. Further, it was compared with a conventional 20-mL counting vial. Materials and Methods: The LSC with the electrolytic enrichment method was used 3H analysis in groundwater. A high-volume 145-mL counting vial was compared with a conventional 20-mL counting vial to determine the counting characteristics of different LSCs. Results and Discussion: When a Quantulus LSC was used, the counting window between channels 35 and 250 was used. The background count was approximately 1.86 cpm, and the counting efficiency increased from 8% to 40% depending on the mixing ratio of the volume of sample and cocktail solution. For LSC-LB7, the optimum counting window was between 1 and 4.9 keV, which was selected by the factory (Hitachi Aloka Medical Ltd., Japan) by considering quenching using a standard external gamma source. The background count of LSC-LB7 was approximately 3.60 ± 0.29 cpm when the 145-mL vial was used and 2.22 ± 0.17 cpm when the 20-mL vial was used. The minimum detectable activity (MDA) of the 20-mL vial was greater for LSC-LB7 than for Quantulus. The MDA with the 145-mL vial was improved to 0.3 Bq/L when compared with the value of 1.6 Bq/L for the 20-mL vial. Conclusion: The counting efficiency when using the 145-mL vial was 27%, whereas it was 18% when using the 20-mL vial. This difference can be attributed to the vial volume. The figure of merit (FOM) of the 145-mL vial was four times greater than that of the 20-mL vial because the volume of the former vial is approximately seven times greater than that of the latter. Further, the MDA for 3H decreased from 1.6 to 0.3 Bq/L. The counting efficiency and FOM of LSC-LB7 was slightly less than those of Quantulus when the 20-mL vial was used. The background counting rate of the Quantulus was lower than that of the LSC-LB7.

In this study, tuna sawdust was added to extruded meat analog in order to develop a meat analog with high quality. Addition of tuna sawdust has merit for utilizing a byproduct from poultry processing. Physicochemical characteristics were examined through the extrusion cooking process. The basic mixture of sample mixed with 65% deffated soy flour 25% isolated soy protein, and 10% corn starch was setup as the raw material. Three kinds of samples were made in total by addition of 15% and 30% tuna sawdust to this mixture. The extrusion process had a screw speed of 250 rpm, die temperature of $140^{\circ}C$, and moisture content of 50%. As addition of tuna sawdust increased, breaking strength and density decreased, specific length increased, and integrity and water holding capacity decreased. Likewise, nitrogen solubility index and protein digestibility decreased as addition of tuna sawdust increased. DPPH radical scavenging activity increased as addition of tuna sawdust addition, whereas it decreased as storage period increased to 30 or 60 days. The value of rancidity decreased as addition of tuna sawdust increased. However, 60 days later, radical scavenging activity increased more or less, and a significant difference was detected 150 days later. In conclusion, addition of tuna sawdust increased soft texture, and nutrition of the basic mixture sample. The process promoting functionality such as improvement of antioxidant function was confirmed through this study.

In this study, a method of probabilistic evaluation of the performance point of the structure obtained by capacity spectrum method (CSM) is presented. The performance point of the 4-story and 1-bay steel structure was determined by using CSM according to ATC-40. In order to analyze whether the demand spectrums exceed the performance limit of the structure, the limit displacements are derived for the performance limit of the structure defined from the plastic deformation angle of the structural member. In addition, by selecting a total of 30 artificial seismic wave having the response spectrum similar to the design response spectrum, the fragility curves were derived by examining whether the response spectrum obtained from the artificial seismic wave were exceeded each performance limit according to the spectral acceleration. The maximum likelihood method was used to derive the fragility curve using observed excess probabilities. It has been confirmed that there exists a probability that the response acceleration value of the design response spectrum corresponding to each performance limit exceeds the performance limit. This method has a merit that the stochastic evaluation can be performed considering the uncertainty of the seismic waves with respect to the performance point of the structure, and the analysis time can be shortened because the incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) is not necessary.
In order to investigate the thermoelectric properties of $Zn_{k}$$In_2$$O_{ 3+k}$ homologous compounds, the samples of $Zn_{k}$ /$In_2$$O_{3+k}$ / (k = integer between 1 and 9) were prepared by calcining the mixed powders of ZnO and $In_2$$O_3$fellowed by sintering at 1823 K for 2 hours in air, and their electrical conductivities and Seebeck coefficients were measured as a function of temperature in the range of 500 K to 1150 K. X-ray diffraction analysis of the sintered samples clarified that single-phase specimens were obtained for $Zn_{k} /$In_2$$O_{3+k}$ with k = 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9. Electrical conductivity of the $Zn_{k}$$In_2$$O_{3+k}$ / decreased with increasing temperature, and decreased with increasing k for k $\geq$ 3. The Seebeck coefficient was negative at all the temperatures for all compositions, confirming that $Zn_{k}$$In_2$$O_{3+k}$ / is an n-type semiconductor. Absolute values of the Seebeck coefficient increased linearly with increasing temperature and increased with increasing k for k $\geq$ 3. The temperature dependence of the Seebeck coefficient indicated that Z $n_{k}$I $n_2$$O_{3+k}$ could be treated as an extrinsic degenerate semiconductor. Figure-of-merits of Z $n_{k}$I $n_2$$O_{3+k}$ were evaluated from the measured electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient, and the reported thermal conductivity. Z $n_{7}$ I $n_2$$O_{10}$ has the largest figure-of-merit over all the temperatures, and its highest value was $1.5{\times}$10$^{-4}$$K^{-1}$ at 1145 K.5 K.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the monumental expression of Korean War Memorials(KWM) in Korea(KWMK). Through site survey and internet searching, the researcher selected 17 KWMK and analyzed four analysis categories: contents, spatial form, landscape elements, sculptures and architectural elements. The results are as follows: 1. The analysis revealed that main contents of KWMK were to cherish victims of the Korean War, honor military merit, and explain Korean War. 2. Most KWMK built battlefield had the form of symmetry and spatial axis arranged monuments and sculptures for solemnity and heroism. Though the sites were terraced by traditional spatial order, spatial sequence wasn't seen except Yang-gu KWMK and Chumomyeongbi in United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea. 3. Stone monument-like towers, tablets, podium, monoliths, cenotaphs, and exhibit halls to explain Korean War and combat history were used as main elements of KWMK and also, war weapons were often displayed the flags of countries taking part in Korean War were raised with Taegeukgi and the United Nations flag. 4. Most sculptures were used as important media to represent the Korean War and assumed realistically the form of heroic combat. But a few architectural memorial built in recent were designed in contemporary style to have spatial sequence and represent Korean War symbolically and narratively. 5. In memorial culture, KWMK were strongly influenced by ideology and patriotism, impacted by conventional value, and designed by some sculptors and designers in a certain circle. Further study will be required to analyze the characteristics of KWMK in the point of design style and diachronic.

In this paper, we propose a method to predict the failure of industrial robot using Seq2Seq (Sequence to Sequence) model, which is a model for transforming time series data among Artificial Neural Network models. The proposed method uses the data of the joint current and angular value, which can be measured by the robot itself, without additional sensor for fault diagnosis. After preprocessing the measured data for the model to learn, the Seq2Seq model was trained to convert the current to angle. Abnormal degree for fault diagnosis uses RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) during unit time between predicted angle and actual angle. The performance evaluation of the proposed method was performed using the test data measured under different conditions of normal and defective condition of the robot. When the Abnormal degree exceed the threshold, it was classified as a fault, and the accuracy of the fault diagnosis was 96.67% from the experiment. The proposed method has the merit that it can perform fault prediction without additional sensor, and it has been confirmed from the experiment that high diagnostic performance and efficiency are available without requiring deep expert knowledge of the robot.

Objective: To compare the image quality of low-tube-voltage and low-iodine-concentration-contrast-medium (LVLC) computed tomography urography (CTU) with iterative reconstruction (IR) with that of conventional CTU. Materials and Methods: This prospective, multi-institutional, randomized controlled trial was performed at 16 hospitals using CT scanners from various vendors. Patients were randomly assigned to the following groups: 1) the LVLC-CTU (80 kVp and 240 mgI/mL) with IR group and 2) the conventional CTU (120 kVp and 350 mgI/mL) with filtered-back projection group. The overall diagnostic acceptability, sharpness, and noise were assessed. Additionally, the mean attenuation, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), and figure of merit (FOM) in the urinary tract were evaluated. Results: The study included 299 patients (LVLC-CTU group: 150 patients; conventional CTU group: 149 patients). The LVLC-CTU group had a significantly lower effective radiation dose ($5.73{\pm}4.04$ vs. $8.43{\pm}4.38mSv$) compared to the conventional CTU group. LVLC-CTU showed at least standard diagnostic acceptability (score ${\geq}3$), but it was non-inferior when compared to conventional CTU. The mean attenuation value, mean SNR, CNR, and FOM in all pre-defined segments of the urinary tract were significantly higher in the LVLC-CTU group than in the conventional CTU group. Conclusion: The diagnostic acceptability and quantitative image quality of LVLC-CTU with IR are not inferior to those of conventional CTU. Additionally, LVLC-CTU with IR is beneficial because both radiation exposure and total iodine load are reduced.

In this study, ITZO thin films were deposited on glass, sapphire, and PEN substrates by RF magnetron sputtering, and their electrical and optical properties were investigated. The resistivity of the ITZO thin film deposited on the glass and sapphire substrates was 3.08×10-4 and 3.21×10-4 Ω-cm, respectively, showing no significant difference, whereas the resistivity of the ITZO thin film deposited on the PEN substrate was 7.36×10-4 Ω-cm, which was a rather large value. Regardless of the type of substrate, there was no significant difference in the average transmittance of the ITZO thin film. Figure of Merits of the ITZO thin film deposited on the glass substrate obtained using the average transmittance in the absorption region of the amorphous silicon thin film solar cell and the absorption region of the P3HT : PCBM organic active layer were 10.52 and 9.28×10-3 Ω-1, respectively, which showed the best values. Through XRD and AFM measurements, it was confirmed that all ITZO thin films exhibited an amorphous structure and had no defects such as pinholes or cracks, regardless of the substrate type.
The Merit variety of soybean (Glycine max L.), harvested in 1971 was germinated in the dark at $21{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. The soybean sprout were divided into cotyledons and seedling axis and subjected to the determination of lipoxygenase activity and fatty acid composition of triglycerides, free fatty acids, phosholipids and crude fat fractions at two-day intervals during the germination periods. The results are summarized as follows 1) The lipoxygenase activity in cotyledons declined sharply after second day, but the activity in seedling axis inclined slightly after second day. However, the decrease of lipoxygenase activity in cotyledons coincided with decrease of linoleic and linolenic acids in cotyledons and increase of lipoxygenase activity in seedling axis coincided with increase of those acids in seedling axis. 2) The iodine value of neutral fat in cotyledons decreased continuously, but the iodine value of the neutral fat in seedling axis remained almost constant. iodine value in cotyeldons was greater than in seedling axis. 3) In the fatty acid composition of triglycerides in cotyledons, palmitic acid did not changes significantly, stearic acid increased continuously, oleic acid changed irregularly, linoleic and linolenic acids continuously decreased significantly. But in the fatty acid composition of triglycerides in seedling axis, palmitic acid remained unchanged, linoleic and linolenic acids slightly increased continuously, stearic and oleic acids changed irregularly. 4) Composition of free fatty acids in cotyledons and seedling axis changed irregularly, suggesting that all fatty acids produced by hydrolysis of triglycerides by lipase are used(or either biosynthetic Purpose or energy Production at random. 5) Fatty acids with odd-numbered carbon chain were not detected in the triglycerides and free fatty acid fractions during the germination periods, suggesting that all fatty acids are utilized as $C_2$-unit in degradation and biosynthesis. 6) The changes of fatty acids composition of Phospholipid in cotyledons and seedling axis during the germination were similar to these of triglyceride fraction.
