This is a paper on the validity of Extra Gigong Therapy(EGT) on Hypertension patients. We've treated hypertension patients EGT, used IEMD for analysis, so that come to these conclusions. 1. Average value of treatment group was 4.215, this is higher than one of control group. They had differences up to the standard. 2. Hypertension patients are divided into EGT treated group(treatment group) and non-treated one(control group). 3. Light stomach meridian has differences in treatment group and no differences in control group before and after EGT. That means EGT is effective. So does Spleen meridian. 4. With 12 meridians' electric potential values, we come to conclusion that EGT is likely to do hypertension patients good, especially on the point of view of liver, kidney, stomach and spleen meridian pathways. And bibliographies back up in this conclusion. 5. We classified hypertension patients into 4 factors: that is a spiritual factor, a physical factor, an eating factor and a circulation factor. Among these, a physical factor was seen of high frequency. There is a close connection between a physical factor and liver, kidney, spleen meridian pathways. The consequence was that subjects are suburban residents in the prime of time who had overworked.

Objectives : This study was performed to introduce the Jung-an acupuncture meridian point and needling method and to understand the theological basis of Jung-an acupuncture. Methods : We searched the Oriental medical literature and related to acupuncture and studied to myofacial release and anitoxidant effects. Conclusions : 1. Jung-an acupuncture is introduced of one of as an effective therapy to the for skin disease such as freckles, acnes, especially on the face, head and neck. 2. Jung-an acupuncture meridian points are located in the face, head and neck for the purpose of Eumyang addition Jung-an acupuncture selects the low-depth stimulation for the purpose of effective stimulation of the myofacia. 3. The theological basis of Jung-an acupuncture is organized with meridian theory and myofacial release therapy.

Purpose: The objective of the study was to identify the effects of the meridian massage therapy on hand edema and hand functions in patients with hemiplegia. Method: The experiment was conducted in the Oriental Medical ward of "K" hospital during the period of 2000. 12. 15 - 2001. 03. 15. Fifty five subjects with hemiplegia following a stroke participated in the study. Volumetric size of the hand and the circumference of the index finger of each patient was measured and functional points were recorded for pre and post experiment. Result: 1. Apparent decrease in volumetric size of the hand and the circumference of the index finger(p=.022. p=.021), and higher functional points(p=.003) in the experimental group in comparison to the control group. 2.Volume of hands & their functions appeared to be irrelevant(r=-.195, p=.154). 3. Circumference of the index finger & their functions also turned out to be irrelevant (r=-.110, p=.424). Conclusion: Meridian massage is an effective nursing interventional therapy to relieve hand edema and improve hand functions in hemiplegic patients and has great potential for use in a wide range of medical fields as an efficient supplementary treatment for stroke rehabilitation.

Objective This study aimed to analyze the efficacy and safety of Tuina therapy for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) through a randomized controlled clinical study in China. Methods We used the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) as a resource and conducted a search using key words: 'ADHD', '推拿'. Six randomized control studies were identified and analyzed in this study. Results 1. The Tuina treatment group showed significant changes compared to the control group. 2. The most commonly used meridians were Spleen meridian (脾經穴), Liver meridian (肝經穴), Errenshangma (二人上馬穴), Xiaotianxin (小天心), Qinghetianshu (清河天水), Kidney meridian (腎經穴). Conclusions The results of this study showed that Tuina therapy is effective for ADHD patients with ADHD. It can be used for future research on Tuina therapy for ADHD.

Object : The purpose of this study is to arrange the literature about a acupuncture therapy on the gatroduodenal ulcer. Methods : We arrange twenty five kinds of literature about a acupuncture therapy on gastric pain coming within the category of the gatroduodenal ulcer. Results : The cause of gastric pain is disunion of liver and spleen caused by overeating, uncontrolled emotion. The gastric pain is accompanied by lack of appetite, nausea & vomiting, belching, constipation, abdominal discomfort and so on. Therapy methods of the gastric pain are tonifying the spleen, eliminating pathological coldness and alleviation of pain, draining the liver and replenish Ki. Acupuncture point at S36, P6, CV12, B20, B21, B18, B17 used frequently for the acupuncture therapy in the order of frequency of use. Conclusions : Meridians of Conception Vessel, Stomach, Spleen, Bladder and Liver used frequently for the acupuncture therapy. The meridian used for treatment of the gastroduodenal ulcer is related to it passing by a painful place in the body.

Objectives & Methods: We investigated 45 books to study etiology, pathology and acupuncture & Moxibustion treatment of diarrhea. Result and Conclusion 1. The pathogenic factors of diarrhea are external sensation(外邪感受), jungjishiljo(情志失調), weakness of the spleen and stomach(脾胃虛弱), improper diet(飮食不節), sinyanghueson(腎陽虧損), sueumyujang(水飮留腸), liver Gi invades the sp1een(肝氣乘脾), uhhyuljeche(瘀血阻滯). 2. The etiological cause of diarrhea are closely related to the malfunction of the spleen & stomach(脾胃) and the related jang and bu(臟腑)'s pathological alternation such as spleen & stomach(脾胃), large intestine(大腸), small intestine(小腸), liver(肝), sp1een(脾), and kidney(腎). 3. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment application of diarrhea with the meridian system are in the following order from the most often mentioned meridian system to the least, urinary bladder meridian(膀胱經), spleen meridian(脾經), stomach meridian(胃經), conception channel meridian(任脈經), liver mehdian(肝經), governor channel meridian(督脈經), large intestine meridian(大腸經), lung meridian(肺經), triple-warmer meridian(三焦經), gall bladder meridian(膽經), Pericardium meridian(心包經). 4. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment application of diarrhea with meridian point are in the following order from the most often mentioned meridian point to the least, Cheonchu(天樞) sixteen times, Sin-gwol(神厥) fifteen times, Joksamni(足三理), Gwanwon(關元) each twelve times, Daejangsu(大腸兪) eleven times, Taechung(太衝), Bisu(脾兪), Sojangsu(小腸兪) each ten times,Sinsu(腎兪) nine times, CC12(中脘) eight times, Samchosu(三焦兪), gokcheon(曲泉), Harweom(下廉) each seven times, Samgan(三間), Sameungyo(三陰交), Yisa(意舍), Jungnyo, Gyeungmun(京門) each six times, Gyeonggol(京骨), Jangmun(章門) each five times, Sangnyeom(上廉), Hapgok(合谷), Yangmun(梁門), Sanggu(商丘), Yanggang(陽綱), Hoeyang(會陽), Gihyeol(氣穴), Taegye(太谿), Gihae(氣海) each four times.

Until now, there have been no study about kinematic analysis of trunk with meridian muscular system. The purpose of this article is to contribute to the knowledge of meridian muscles of trunk that are related with breathing and basic movements. We research into respiration mechanics analysis and basic trunk movement analysis. And we suggest that the studies of the therapy that apply meridian muscles in trunk and respiration abnormality are more necessary.

The purpose of this article is to contribute to the knowledge of meridian muscles and myofascial meridians of upper limb that relate with normal movement and getting a glass of water. We researched on analysis of normal articular movement and the related muscles. In addition this article is suggested to study about the Therapy with apply meridian muscles and myofascial meridian lines to upper limb's motor disturbance.

The purpose of this study is to show data for protocol design which will be able to change body shape using the measured value before and after Meridian Scraping Massage with the Martin-type anthropometer through experiment result and questionnaire. The data analysis was done by paired-sample t-test using SPSS program and today, Meridian Scraping Therapy is being applied by various instruments which use meridian pathway and spots on the body suitable for acupuncture which promote blood circulation by eliminating toxin and maintaining body fluids balance. And they have such merit as easy to buy material and perform operation without side effect only if understanding massage principal.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to identify the origin of meridian-based psychotherapy, and thereby utilize this technique more flexibly and widely, as well as use our findings as the base data for the development of unique and oriental medicine-based psychotherapies. Methods : This study investigated various activities and references of meridian-based psychotherapy developers in historical order. For the books that have been translated into Korean, the translated books were examined as priority. Otherwise, examination was based on original books. Results : The study results were as follows. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a technique completed by combining the psychological reversal, acupuncture point tapping, and gamut series in TFT (Thought Field Therapy), and the affirmations that were formed by reflecting the deep understanding on languages derived from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). ESM (Emotional Self Management) can be viewed as having applied the implications of cognitive therapy and hypnosis while accepting the treatment of TFT as it is. Roger J. Callahan developed TFT by adopting theories such as AK(Applied Kinesiology), acupuncture, NLP, quantum mechanics, and split brains. On the EFT, ESM, TFT, the method for stimulating acupuncture points appears to be tapping, which is one technique of the oriental traditional exercise and manual techniques(導引按蹻). Tapping may be the English translation of Bak-beop(拍法). Conclusions : When the oriental medicine techniques that enable meridian tuning are applied along with accommodating Western psychological theories actively, this can not only help use meridian-based psychotherapy more flexibly, but also enable the development of new oriental medicine-based psychotherapies.
