Gaining information via the internet is becoming pivotal in today's society as the internet is becoming the center of knowledge and information. The goal of this study is to present the guideline of web interface design for the elderly who are alienated in gaining information from the Internet. If the internet were more user friendly to the elderly, they would be able to spend more time in doing what they enjoy and also in self development, with the information gained on the internet. This study investigated current portal sites to understand the present situation, surveyed and interviewed the elderly, and researched literatures on how the elderly perceive various stimulants and also researched documents for previous guidelines on interface design for them. This study investigated internet sites which the elderly use to gather information about products and which entice their purchasing desires. The conclusion is that the usability can be improved by eliminating visual dizzy elements in the pages, simplifying the layout and the menu designs which represent the information architecture.

Customer relationship management skills seeking to increase profits through an elevation in customer loyalty. Education sites are not structured, and are not able to provide the customers with needed services. As the company-customer relationship is not much different from the education portal site-student relationship, CRM can be utilized in educational environments as well. This paper looked into the CRM theory, and through analyses of CRM-applied commercial sites and well-known education portal sites and school homepages, aims to present which individualized services are needed and how school homepages should be designed for effective student relation management. On the basis of school homepage design, we implemented partly sign-up form, admin's menu, and personalization design.

This paper presents an approach to the design of real time task scheduling for a line controller of continuous manufacturing process automation. The line controller has multiprocessor-based architecture with shared memory and is operated by firmware. This firmware contains menu-driven software supporting real-time database management and fuction-block control language. The multitasking line control processor performs the following three functions: 1) interprets the function block control language by virtue of shared memory in the database; 2) invokes an interupt service routine as required by external hardware; 3) detects errors and notifies the user. We propose real time task scheduling method.

A graphic control language using function block diagram approach is designed and implemented, applicable to real-time control for continuous process automation system. The procedure implementing the control language is composed of three parts, editor, compiler, and executer. The editor generates the control algorithm file, which contains function block information in the text form, by menu-driven method on the color graphic screen. The compiler translates the contents of the control algorithm file to machine codes and their related data. Then, the executer generates a task that makes the machine codes executed at every sampling period in the target processor. The validity of the concept in its design and implementaion is assured by on-line simulation in the multi-function controller designed for continuous process automation.

In this paper, an optimal planning system for operating transporters in shipyard is developed. The system is designed to utilize the geometries of shipyard, and manage the data of blocks and transporters directly. There are four major menus such as shipyard map management based on GIS, block transportation request, transporter management, and optimal transportation planning in the system. The geometries and properties of the shops, roads, and addresses are manipulated in the shipyard map management menu. The block transportation requests and the properties of transporters are managed in the block transportation request and transporter management menus, respectively. The optimum transportation is planned automatically for minimizing the unload times of the transporters, and the optimum transportation plans are confirmed and printed to the transporter drivers. The effectiveness of the system was verified through the application to a large-sized shipyard.

본 논문은 지난 5년간의 모바일 메뉴 아이콘의 디자인 분석을 통해 현재의 모바일 폰에 적용되고 있는 아이콘 디자인 법칙을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 현재 제조사에 따라 다르게 제공되는 하드웨어 안에 아이콘(ICON) 디자인 또한 서로 다르게 구성되어 있어 사용자들은 일관성 없는 이미지에 혼란스럽다. 새로운 모바일 폰이 개발되면 그 내부 인터페이스도 모바일 폰 기기 사양이 담고 있는 기능들에 의해 다듬어 지고 정리된 메뉴기능을 내장해야 한다. 본인은 앞에서 언급했던 모바일 폰의 인터페이스를 구성하고 있는 아이콘의 디자인을 내용분석 하였다. 모바일 아이콘 전반적 디자인 변화를 살펴보고 점차 증가하고 있는 모바일 폰의 특성을 살펴 본 후에 아이콘을 담고 있는 인터페이스를 제품별, 제조사별, 년도 별로 분류하고 디자인 법칙을 찾아보았다. 그리하여 국내 모바일 폰의 메뉴 아이콘을 의미표현 유형과 아이콘의 크기, 아이콘의 애니메이션 정도, 아이콘 주변 경계, 공간 표현, 아이콘에 적용 된 라이트와 음영 위치, 아이콘 시각표현, 배경의 유무, 선택 시 반응에 따라 애니메이션 유무, 아이콘의 선택 시 크기변화, 아이콘의 테두리선 유무, 아이콘의 색상 반전 유무, 아이콘의 그림자 유무를 분석 기준으로 잡고, 이런 모바일 아이콘의 요소 별 디자인에 적용된 법칙들을 내용분석을 통해 발견하였다. 모바일 아이콘 디자인 내용분석을 통해 2001년부터 2005년까지 국내에 출시된 모바일 아이콘 디자인들이 역사적으로 어떻게 변하였는지 정리하였다. 디자인이 빠르게 변화하고 있는 지금, 새로운 디자인을 발견하기에 앞서 지금까지 국내 모바일 아이콘 디자인의 시대적 변화를 되돌아보고, 살펴보는 연구를 하였다.

최근 동양사상은 사회, 문화 전반에 걸쳐 활용되고 있으며 디자인 분야에 적용하려는 연구 역시 지속적으로 이어져오고 있다. 이러한 맥락으로 볼 때 동양사상과 인터페이스의 관계에서도 음양오행, 팔괘, 하도낙서 등의 기본원리에 의한 적용이 가능하다고 유추할 수 있으며, 우주 만물의 조화와 균형을 추구하고 있는 동양사상을 사용자 인터페이스에 적용한다면 사용하기 쉬움과 어려움의 균형이 적절하게 조화를 이루어 인간이 보다 자연스럽게 사용할 수 있는 UI가 개발될 가능성을 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 구궁. 팔괘의 의미에 따른 모바일폰 메뉴 구조를 통하여 단순히 사용빈도가 높거나 유사한 항목간의 관계, 기업의 마케팅을 위한 관계 설정이 아닌 각 기능이 가지고 있는 본질적 의미를 팔괘로 해석하고, 구궁에 적용함으로써 질서와 조화를 갖춘 메뉴 관계를 형성하고, 이를 통해 인간이 보다 자연스럽게 사용 할 수 있는 UI를 제언하고자 하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 연구방법으로 음양오행, 주역의 팔괘 등을 체계적으로 수용하고 있으며, 구궁이라는 9개의 공간에 의미와 시간의 요소를 조합하여 해단함으로써, 인간사 전반에 걸친 해석이 가능한 '기문둔갑'이라는 동양학문을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 사용자 인터페이스와의 관계를 밝히고 적용가능성을 설명하였다. 사례연구로 $3{\times}3$ 메뉴구조의 모바일폰 디스플레이 인터페이스에 기문둔갑의 기초인 구궁, 팔괘를 적용하는 방법을 설명하고 디자인전공자 30명의 설문으로 얻은 사용자 멘탈모델과 비교 분석하여 디자인에서의 동양사상 활용 가능성을 설명하였다.

we can define the procedure of Authoring that it makes area cord and the reproduction prevent menu programmed into MPEG II video stream , Audio which is AC-3 audio stream and subtitle under its own category. And it makes process an attribute, an order and an operation, gives the last disk image (DVD). There are various types of Authoring tools in the market so that authoring tools can enable, encourage, and assist users ('authors') in the selection of tools that produce simple title and video production and editing suites. In this paper, we will compare and analyze authoring process in which image and sound are captured into DVD creation with IEEE 1394port with regard to Window system using generally with Desktop PC and the Macintosh of the PC on the system of Windows and OSX.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a web-based senescence preparation education program to promote successful aging. Methods: This program was developed based on Network-Based Instructional System Design (NBISD) model, using the following 5 processes: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The program was operated for 10 weeks from March 17 to May 25, 2008. Results: There were 4 menu bars, introduction, related data, lecture room, and communication on the main page. In the operation of this program, HTML, ASP, JAVA Script, Namo web editor, Edit Plus, Front Page and multimedia technology were applied. The program content consisted of understanding elderly people, physical health, activity & exercise, nutrition, medication use, psychological health, intellectual health, understanding death, welfare system and leisure activity. Conclusion: This program could be a useful means to provide senescence preparation information to middle-aged adults. Also, it is expected to offer individualized learning opportunities to many learners in various settings. Nurses should further develop and facilitate various learning strategies including web-based programs for elder care.

This study is, by assigning ASCII codes hardly used to Bandaljum(ˇ) and making the fonts of Korean-English character mode, to design the way of converting automatically a word, a sentence or a document of korean into phonetic letters by applying the algorismized phonological principles inputted as a letter string, even though a user do not konw the basic principles of the usage of Korean-to-Romanization notation rule. This is designed so that it may be possible to turn into a mechanical code with reference to the corresponding character in the table of Korean-to-Romanization notation rule that is the currently used standard proposition of the government. Consequently this program makes it user more convenient in the manipulations of special case words, the assistance of colorful-screen or pull-down, pop-up menu and the adoptation of utilizable mouse works for a user convienency. This program could be installed in a single diskette of 5.25"(2HD) and be made in C programming language to mplement various font, expansion or condense of font, alternative printing.ting.
