An algorithm for a hybrid controller consists of a sliding mode control part and a fuzzy logic part which ar purposely for nonlinear systems. The sliding mode part of the solution is based on "eigenvalue/vector"-type controller is used as the backstepping approach for tracking errors. The fuzzy logic part is a Mamdani fuzzy model. This is designed by applying sliding mode control (SMC) method to the dynamic model. The main objective is to keep the update dynamics in a stable region by used SMC. After that the plant behavior is presented to train procedure of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS). ANFIS architecture is determined and the relevant formulation for the approach is given. Using the error (e) and rate of error (de), occur due to the difference between the desired output value (yd) and the actual output value (y) of the system. A dynamic adaptation law is proposed and proved the particularly chosen form of the adaptation strategy. Subsequently VSC creates a sliding mode in the plant behavior while the parameters of the controller are also in a sliding mode (stable trainer). This study considers the ANFIS structure with first order Sugeno model containing nine rules. Bell shaped membership functions with product inference rule are used at the fuzzification level. Finally the Mamdani fuzzy logic which is depends on adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems structure designed. At the transferable stage from ANFIS to Mamdani fuzzy model is adjusted for the membership function of the input value (e, de) and the actual output value (y) of the system could be changed to trapezoidal and triangular functions through tuning the parameters of the membership functions and rules base. These help adjust the contributions of both fuzzy control and variable structure control to the entire control value. The application example, control of a mass-damper system is considered. The simulation has been done using MATLAB. Three cases of the controller will be considered: for backstepping sliding-mode controller, for hybrid controller, and for adaptive backstepping sliding-mode controller. A numerical example is simulated to verify the performances of the proposed control strategy, and the simulation results show that the controller designed is more effective than the adaptive backstepping sliding mode controller.

This paper deal with uncertainty problem by using Type-2 fuzzy logic set for nonlinear system modeling. We design Type-2 fuzzy logic system in which the antecedent and the consequent part of rules are given as Type-2 fuzzy set and also analyze the performance of the ensuing nonlinear model with uncertainty. Here, the apexes of the antecedent membership functions of rules are decided by C-means clustering algorithm and the apexes of the consequent membership functions of rules are learned by using back-propagation based on gradient decent method. Also, the parameters related to the fuzzy model are optimized by means of particle swarm optimization. The proposed model is demonstrated with the aid of two representative numerical examples, such as mathematical synthetic data set and Mackey-Glass time series data set and also we discuss the approximation as well as generalization abilities for the model.

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new category of rule-based fuzzy inference system based on Information Granulation(IG). The proposed rule-based fuzzy modeling implements system structure and parameter identification in the efficient form of “If..., then...” statements, and exploits the theory of system optimization and fuzzy implication rules. The form of the fuzzy rules comes with three types of fuzzy inferences: a simplified one that involves conclusions that are fixed numeric values, a linear one where the conclusion part is viewed as a linear function of inputs, and a regression polynomial one as the extended type of the linear one. By the nature of the rule-based fuzzy systems, these fuzzy models are geared toward capturing relationships between information granules. The form of the information granules themselves becomes an important design features of the fuzzy model. Information granulation with the aid of HCM(Hard C-Means) clustering algorithm hell)s determine the initial parameters of rule-based fuzzy model such as the initial apexes of the membership functions and the initial values of polynomial function being used in the Premise and consequence Part of the fuzzy rules. And then the initial Parameters are tuned (adjusted) effectively with the aid of the improved complex method(ICM) and the standard least square method(LSM). In the sequel, the ICM and LSM lead to fine-tuning of the parameters of premise membership functions and consequent polynomial functions in the rules of fuzzy model. An aggregate objective function with a weighting factor is proposed in order to achieve a balance between performance of the fuzzy model. Numerical examples are included to evaluate the performance of the proposed model. They are also contrasted with the performance of the fuzzy models existing in the literature.

This paper proposes a fuzzy model tree consisting of local linear models using fuzzy cluster for data modeling. First, cluster centers are calculated by fuzzy clustering method using all input and output attributes. And then, linear models are constructed at internal nodes with fuzzy membership values between centers and input attributes. The expansion of internal node is determined by comparing errors calculated in parent node with ones in child node, respectively. As a final step, data prediction is performed with a linear model having the highest fuzzy membership value between input attributes and cluster centers in leaf nodes. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, we have applied our method to various dataset. Under various experiments, our proposed method shows better performance than conventional model tree and artificial neural networks.
This paper proposes a new group mobility model for wireless communication. The mobility model considers the psychological and sociological behavior of each node and the perception of other nodes for describing interactions among a set of nodes. The model assumes no permanent membership of a group, capable of capturing natural behaviors as fork and join. It emulates a cooperative movement pattern observed in mobile ad hoc networks of military operation and campus, in which a set of mobile stations accomplish a cooperative motion affected by the individual behavior as well as a group behavior. The model also employs a physic model to avoid a sudden stopping and a sharping turning.
In this paper, we focuses on the development of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy modeling in a nonlinear container crane system. A T-S fuzzy model is characterized by fuzzy "if-then" rules which represent the locally input-output relationship whose consequence part is described by a state space equation as subsystem. The T-S fuzzy model in container cranes first obtains a few number of linear models according to operation conditions and blends these conditions using fuzzy membership functions. Parameters of the membership functions are adjusted by a RCGA to have same dynamic characteristics with nonlinear system of a container crane. Simulations are given to illustrate the performance of T-S fuzzy model.

Widely used color information recognition methods based on the RGB color model with static fuzzy inference rules have limitations due to the model itself - the detachment of human vision and applicability of limited environment. In this paper, we propose a method that is based on HSI model with new inference process that resembles human vision recognition process. Also, a user can add, delete, update the inference rules in this system. In our method, we design membership intervals with sine, cosine function in H channel and with functions in trigonometric style in S and I channel. The membership degree is computed via interval merging process. Then, the inference rules are applied to the result in order to infer the color information. Our method is proven to be more intuitive and efficient compared with RGB model in experiment.

In this paper, we introduce a category of Multi-FNN (Fuzzy-Neural Networks) models, analyze the underlying architectures and propose a comprehensive identification framework. The proposed Multi-FNNs dwell on a concept of fuzzy rule-based FNNs based on HCM clustering and evolutionary fuzzy granulation, and exploit linear inference being treated as a generic inference mechanism. By this nature, this FNN model is geared toward capturing relationships between information granules known as fuzzy sets. The form of the information granules themselves (in particular their distribution and a type of membership function) becomes an important design feature of the FNN model contributing to its structural as well as parametric optimization. The identification environment uses clustering techniques (Hard C - Means, HCM) and exploits genetic optimization as a vehicle of global optimization. The global optimization is augmented by more refined gradient-based learning mechanisms such as standard back-propagation. The HCM algorithm, whose role is to carry out preprocessing of the process data for system modeling, is utilized to determine the structure of Multi-FNNs. The detailed parameters of the Multi-FNN (such as apexes of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients) are adjusted using genetic algorithms. An aggregate performance index with a weighting factor is proposed in order to achieve a sound balance between approximation and generalization (predictive) abilities of the model. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model, two numeric data sets are experimented with. One is the numerical data coming from a description of a certain nonlinear function and the other is NOx emission process data from a gas turbine power plant.

Recently, studying chaotic dynamic have been concerned by many researchers in areas of physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering and social science. Especially, model of addiction, happiness, family and love become major research subjects in the social science. Among these models, love is one of the four emotions that human being have. There are many definitions for love, however, each definitions of love does not coincide with each other. Recently, one of the most important efforts for research is love and it is represented by derivative equation. Then they try to find nonlinear or chaotic behavior from this derivative equation. This paper propose Gaussian fuzzy membership function in order to make external force that are close to action and awareness of human based on love model of Romeo and Juliet with external force. This paper also confirms the existence of nonlinear characteristics through time series and phase portrait.

The research Interest of this paper is focused on the efficient clustering task for an arbitrary color data. In order to tackle this problem, we have tiled to model the inherent uncertainty and vagueness of color data using fuzzy color model. By laking a fuzzy approach to color modeling, we could make a soft decision for the vague regions between neighboring colors. The proposed fuzzy color model defined a three dimensional fuzzy color ball and color membership computation method with the two inter-color distance measures. With the fuzzy color model, we developed a new fuzzy clustering algorithm for an efficient partition of color data. Each fuzzy cluster set has a cluster prototype which is represented by fuzzy color centroid.
