고강도강을 이용한 평판형 승용차 서스펜션 크로스 멤버의 성형 (Forming of Flat Type Automotive Suspension Cross Member with High Strength Steel)

  • The flat type automotive cross members with high strength steel have advantages in light weight and fewer parts compared to the hump type cross members. But the complex part shape of the flat type cross member and the poor formability of high strength steel make it difficult to form the parts without forming defects, such as splits and wrinkles. The purpose of this study is to develop the flat type automotive cross member with high strength steel. For that purpose, drawing processes are evaluated using PAM-$STAMP^{TM}$ and proper draw die and blank designs are proposed. Using the proposed die and blank design, the flat type upper and lower cross member could be formed successfully without forming defects.

Exoskeleton System for Radiation Protection in Interventional Radiology

  • Background: As the quantity and complexity of radiological interventions are constantly increasing, gear that offers optimal protection while maintaining mobility and a low weight burden is becoming more important. A newly developed exoskeleton radiation protection system (ERPS) (StemRad MD; StemRad Ltd.) can carry the weight of the shielding. The aim of our study was to analyze initial experience, especially in terms of advantages and disadvantages, with this new ERPS in interventional radiology. Materials and Methods: Forty-six interventions utilizing the ERPS were analyzed. The interventional radiologists completed a 15-question survey evaluating various aspects of the protective system, including weight, mobility, comfort, and radiation protection adequacy. Results and Discussion: In 98% of procedures, interventionalists reported being very satisfied (89%) or slightly satisfied (9%) and would recommend the system to colleagues. The exoskeleton system was rated as 100% comfortable, not too heavy, and did not restrict mobility in 98% of cases. Conclusion: The ERPS is a recommendable alternative to standard lead aprons, providing flexibility, comfort, and effective weight distribution without restricting mobility.

RCAR 전방 저속 충돌시험 대응 범퍼 스테이 설계 (Bumper Stay Design for RCAR Front Low Speed Impact Test)

  • RCAR low speed impact test estimates repair cost of the impacted vehicle. In this study, for a mid-size vehicle front body model, structural performance for RCAR low speed impact were analyzed with changing the bumper stay shape and size. First, for improving the impact load transfer mechanism to side member the stay rear section shape at connecting area with side member was modified and the stay outer was redesigned to be normal to the barrier. Next, the investigation on stay thickness effect was carried out and the performances of several models with different forming shape were compared. The final design showed 13mm decrease in the maximum barrier intrusion distance and greatly reduced side member deformation. Additional analyses explained the validity of the final design.

  • This paper presents an analytical method which takes into account the non-linearity of individual members, and discusses some case study results. It also discusses the relationship between member non-elastic behavior and excitation duration, and the relationship between member fracture and overall structure behavior. It is clearly demonstrated that the frame already shows almost unstable behavior due to long-columnization just before the occurrence of a column fracture. Then, a column fracture immediately induces a structural collapse mechanism.

  • In manufacturing company, safety is a important issue because it can cause many cost and problems of company. So reduce safety accident can increase manufacturing company's productivity. Safety accident has close relationship with employee's behavior, which is 'safety behavior'. In this study, researcher try to find out role of leader-member exchange and employee's job commitment effect on safety behavior in manufacturing company. A total of 279 responses were collected from manufacturing company's employees. The result of this empirical study show us that leader-member exchange has positive effect on employee's job commitment and safety behaviot. And job commitment has positive effect on safety behavior. Base on this empirical result, researcher provide critics and manageric implication for manufacturing companies.

  • In order to determine a minimum thickness of the pultruded GFRP panel as a structural member, some experimental studies were performed. GFRP tubes with 2mm, 4mm, 6mm thickness were manufactured by pultrusion process. First, coupon tests for finding mechanical properties were carried out. Comparisons between test results and analysis results based on classical laminate theory showed large differences in case of 2mm, 4mm specimens. The reason is that it is difficult to apply appropriate pultruding force and keep layered stitched fabric flat for the pultrusion process of complex shaped FRP member with small thickness. On the consequence, we decide 6mm as a minimum thickness of FRP member. Second, 4-point bending tests were performed and the results with compared with numerical analysis. The behavior of FRP tube can be exactly predicted by numerical analysis if buckling analysis is included.

Investigating the negative tension stiffening effect of reinforced concrete

  • The behaviour of a reinforced concrete tension member is governed by the contribution of concrete between cracks, tension stiffening effect. Under highly repeated loading, this contribution is progressively reduced and the member response approximates that given by the fully cracked member. When focusing on the unloaded state, experiments show deformations larger than those of the naked reinforcement. This has been referred to as negative tension stiffening and is due to the fact that concrete carries compressive stresses along the crack spacing, even thought the tie is subjected to an external tensile force. In this paper a cycle-dependent approach is presented to reproduce the behaviour of the axially loaded tension member, paying attention to the negative tension stiffening contribution. The interaction of cyclic bond degradation and time-dependent effects of concrete is investigated. Finally, some practical diagrams are given to account for the negative tension stiffening effect in reinforced concrete elements.

성별에 따른 성인 독신가구와 다가구간의 건강행위 비교 (Comparison of Health Practices between Single- and Multiple-Member Households by Gender in Korean Adults)

  • Purpose: This study compared health behaviors between single-member and multiple-member households by gender in adults. Method: Study subjects were 21,757 adults 20-65-years-of-age from the Third Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2005. The relationship between health behaviors and residence characteristics was assessed using multiple logistic regression analysis while controlling for sociodemographic characteristics. Results: Younger women living alone were more likely to drink than older women living with others. Women who were in multiple-member households and had a low income were less likely to exercise regularly, to sleep well, and to have regular health examinations. Age, educational level, and income were significantly associated with smoking, exercise, and health examination rather than residence characteristics in men. Conclusion: Residence characteristics should be considered in developing a public health program to reduce or increase modifiable health behaviors as well as age, gender, education, and income.

펄트루젼 I형 FRP 압축재의 설계 (Design of Pultruded I-shape FRP Compression Member)

  • 펄트루젼 공정에 의해 생산된 FRP 부재는 길이에 제한이 없이 임의의 단면형상으로 제작할 수 있기 때문에 건설 구조용 부재로 사용하기 적합하며, 특히, 각종 화학적 유해환경 등에서 그 성능이 우수하기 때문에 습윤환경 및 해양환경 등의 부식환경에서 그 활용이 두드러지고 있다. 그러나 설계를 위한 관련 규준이 마련되어 있지 않아 이에 대한 연구가 시급한 실정이다. FRP 구조재는 대부분 단면의 효율적 사용을 위해 판요소로 구성된 박판부재를 사용하고 있으며, 이러한 부재를 압축재로 사용할 경우 강도한계상태는 주로 좌굴거동에 의해 결정된다. 이 연구에서는 FRP I형 단면 압축재에 대한 좌굴거동을 이론적으로 해석하였고, 기존 실험적 연구결과와 비교, 분석하여 설계방법 및 설계흐름도를 제안하였다. 제안된 설계방법은 ANSI/AISC 360-10의 방법과 유사한 형태로서 설계자의 편의를 도모하였으며, 비교적 간단한 방법에 의해 PFPR I형 단면 압축재의 설계를 수행할 수 있도록 하였다.

중소병원 간호사의 소명의식, 회복탄력성, 리더-구성원 관계 및 간호업무환경에 관한 연구 (A Study on Calling, Resillence, Leader-Member Exchange and Nursing Work Environment of Nurses in Small and Medium Sized Hospital)

  • 본 연구는 중소병원 간호사의 소명의식, 회복탄력성, 리더-구성원 교환관계 및 간호업무환경 간의 관계를 파악하여 간호사의 인력유지관리 프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 중소병원 간호사를 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통해 조사하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 소명의식은 회복탄력성, 리더-구성원 교환관계, 간호업무환경과 정적 상관관계가 있었으며 회복탄력성은 리더-구성원 교환관계, 간호업무환경과 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 리더-구성원 교환관계와 간호업무환경도 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 이에 중소병원 간호사의 개인적 측면에서 소명의식과 회복탄력성을 높일 수 있는 동기부여 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 조직적 측면에서 리더-구성원 교환관계와 간호업무환경을 개선하기 위해 병원 관리자의 지속적인 리더십 강화프로그램이 필요하다.
