An automated surface-strain measurement system, named ASIAS, was developed by using the image processing and stereo vision techniques in the previous studies by the corresponding author and his coworkers. This system has been upgraded mainly to improve the accuracy through image enhancement, sub-pixel measurement, surface smoothing, etc., since the first version was released. The present study has still more improved the convenience of users as well as the accuracy of measurement by processing high resolution images 8 mega pixels or more which can be easily obtained from a portable digital steal camera. It is proved that high resolution image processing greatly decreases the measurement error and gives strain data without considerable deterioration of accuracy even when the deformed grids to be measured and the master grids for camera calibration are captured together in the same image, making the whole process of strain measurement much simpler.

In the hope to detect low-surface brightness features (${\mu}_{r^{\prime}}{\sim}27\;mag\;arcsec^{-2}$), we carried out KASI-Yonsei Deep Imaging Survey for Clusters (KYDISC) targeting 14 local clusters at 0.016 < z < 0.145 using Magellan/IMACS telescope and CFHT/MegaCam. Out of 1450 cluster galaxies, 18% of galaxies show the signatures of galaxy mergers. We explore merger-driven changes from various point-of-view. We first examine color-magnitude relations, and find that galaxies related to recent mergers are populated more on blue color than their counterparts. Besides, we find the extremely low frequency of mergers on low-mass red-sequence galaxies, suggesting a migration of red galaxies into the green-valley region through merger-driven star-formation. We also study the mass-size relation of our sample, finding a larger galaxy size in galaxies related to recent mergers. Our results suggest that mergers can simultaneously change properties of galaxies, making outliers on galactic scaling relations.

우리 군은 국방 정보화를 각 부대별 분산 운영하고 있는 전산실을 통합하여 통합 정보관리소인 메가센터 구축을 추진하고 있다. 메가 센터 이용시 현재 사용하는 전용회선의 지선과 간선의 대역폭 확장을 필요로 하게 된다. 또한 국방 인트라넷의 멀티미디어 및 웹 서비스 증가로 보다 넓은 전송 대역폭이 요구 되고 있다. 저렴한 비용으로 효율적이고 빠른 전송 서비스를 제공하는 Metro Ethernet과 DWDM을 적용하여 국방망 구조 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

This paper presents the results of a numerical investigation on the ground deformation in deep excavation with emphasis on the groundwater lowering. Using the stress-pore pressure coupled analysis Consideration to the effect of ground excavation and groundwater interaction were carried out and a series of two-dimensional finite element model was employed to perform a parametric study on a wide range of soil profile and initial ground water table condition.

In this paper, we devised a simple portable digital recorder for a day life ECG signal recording. The system are consisted of ECG amp. part, signal conditioning part. A/D converter, data compression part and digital memory part. An ADPCM algorithm used at data compress part for 50% of data reduction. The maximum lengths of recording times take 3 hours in 1 mega byte memory.

This paper describes the optimal design, construction and performance evaluation of coaxial shunts used in high current testing laboratory for current measuring system. These shunts, which are of tubular type coaxial shunts, the currents to be measured range from Amperes to several kiloAmperes, and the frequency of the signals has a bandwidth from DC to megaHertz. The shunt must have the mechanical strength to support the forces produced by the transient current, above all, the measuring capabilities of shunt are dependent upon short response time and it must be as free as possible of inductive effects. In this paper presents both characteristic of shunt and design of tubular type coaxial shunt.

The term "Privatization" has a different meaning in different contexts and cultures. In this paper, the term "Privatization" in the context of airports is defined as the movement of an entity from the government sector to the private sector. This is the definition that is commonly employed in the U.S. Airport revenue can he divided into two sub-categories of aeronautical revenue and non-aeronautical revenue. At many of the major international airports, however, non-aeronautical revenue has been growing faster than the aeronautical revenue, contributing an increasingly larger share of the total revenue. And the best way to enhance simultaneously the airport operations. With the remarkable growth in the air traffic volume of pssengers and cargo. more and more mega-international airports have been built or are under construction. As the air transport demand is expected to increase at an even greater rate in the 21st century, new types of airports which will be free of current major problems. such as airport congestion and flight delays are badly needed.

Researches of current PMIS(Project Management Information System) information searching focus on providing personalized results as well as matching needed queries in an enormous amount of information. This paper aim at discovering hidden knowledge to provide personalized and inferred search results based on the ontology with categorized concepts and relations among construction data. The current PMIS searching occasionally presents too much redundant information or offers no matching results from large volumes of data. In this paper, we propose a service searching system, which becomes aware of users device using iPMIS(Intelligent Program Management Information System). And we design and plant the ontology-based iPMIS, which is aware of the context in its environment.
