Establishing Online Meeting Climate Types and Developing Measurements: Impact on Meeting Satisfaction

  • In the post covid-19 era, organizations will experience a new environment. Advances in technologies such as AI and big data, and new experiences such as online meetings and lectures, will increase the use of online communication. Businesses will increasingly engage in online-based information sharing, virtual team operations, and online meetings. This study focuses on meeting climate and satisfaction, to improve the performance of online meetings. Existing studies on meeting climate presuppose off-line situations. Offline and online communication methods and meeting formats are different. This paper proposes new climate types to develop an appropriate climate for online-based meetings. To apply these climates in online meetings, a measurement scale was developed and the impact on online meeting satisfaction was verified. As a result of the study, it was found that the creativity-oriented meeting climate was the most important, and relation-oriented and participation-oriented meeting climates also had a significant effect, while the direction-oriented and task-oriented climates were relatively less important. This study develops new variables and measurements for online meeting climates, and explains their importance. Companies will be able to leverage the appropriate climates for online meetings to improve performance.

  • Hwangjenegyeng somun. Treatise on the parting and Meeting of Yin-Yang is the theory of the parting and meeting about Yin-Yang. It is harmonized treatise Yin-Yang and systemic constant. Taechung and Gwangmyeng are the concretely applied form of the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang at human body. The parting and Meeting of Three-Yin- Three-Yang has six types symbols of circulated Yin-Yang. They have Six-meeting space structure as match like up-down, backside and front-side, left-side and right-side. These pairs express symbolized meaning of creation of Saeng-jang-shu-chang and also apply the same things. Somum Treatise on the Parting and Meeting of Yin-Yang explains acting of human body by the parting and meeting of Three-yin-three-yang as six structures of Opening-covering-axis of Three-yin-three-yang. This principal is expression of the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang and concretes the opening and closing of circulation process for symmetry by each acting of Three-yin-three-yang. As result. the match of six-meeting in space structure and the Opening-covering-axis of Three-yin-three-yang are the basic principal of oriental medicine about the treatise of Gyeng-Lak and the treatise of Six-Gyeng of Sanghanlon.

그룹웨어를 이용한 가상회의시스템 구축에 관한 연구 (Building Virtual Meeting System using Groupware)

  • 본 연구는 상황에 맞게 활용할 수 있는 회의 환경을 제공할 뿐 아니라 다른 단계의 회의를 제시하는 프로토타입 그룹웨어 환경(prototype groupware environment)을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 분산회의의 전체적인 수명주기를 지원하기 위해 사용될 수 있는 몇몇 구성요소들을 기술하고 있다. 이 시스템의 설계는 회의(meeting)가 3단계 즉, 예비 회의, 회의 활동, 그리고 회의 이후로 구성되어 있다는 전제에 기초하고 있다. 각 단계별 회의들은 개별적이고 각각 다른 종류의 도구들과 규칙들을 필요로 한다. 이러한 각 단계들을지원하기 위한 프로토타입은 여섯 가지 요소로 구성되어 있다. 전자우편은 회의 참가자들간의 커뮤니케이션을 지원하기 위한 도구이다. 회의 게시판은 참가자들의 명부를 조직하거나통지하는데 사용되고, 참가자들은 일정관리를 통해 분산회의를 추적해서 확인한다. 실제 회의는 참가자들이 의제를 통해 회의진행 절차를 확인하고, 참가자들과 그룹웨어 도구들을 갖춘 실제 가상회의실(virtual meeting room)에서 열린다. 마지막으로 주요 회의 사건은 회의록을 통해 기록된다.

GSS 환경에서 회의방식과 과업유형이 그룹의사결정에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Meeting Modes and Task Types on Group Decision Making in a GSS Environment)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of different meeting modes and task types on the outcomes of group decision making. The hypotheses postulate the potential effects of different meeting modes on appropriation process; different meeting modes on group outcomes; and the appropriation process on group outcomes. A laboratory experiment was conducted. A GSS was developed using Lotus Notes for this experiment. The results provide partial support for the hypotheses derived from the theoretical model. The interaction effects between meeting modes and tasks are not always observed in the analyses. However, groups using a face-to-face meeting mode in negotiation task reach significantly higher levels of perceived outcome quality, of satisfaction with the outcome, and of satisfaction with the process than groups using a dispersed-synchronous meeting mode. It suggests that a face-to-face meeting mode can enhance the effectiveness of groups working on a negotiation task such as stakeholder analysis. Furthermore, the manner in which groups appropriate the technology significantly influence the group performance. The results support the validity and usefulness of the IRT and the AST as a GSS research framework.

이동성과 프라이버시를 제공하는 모바일 회의 인증 기법 (The Mobile Meeting Authentication Scheme Providing Mobility and Privacy)

  • 스마트폰의 보급으로 여러 사용자가 그룹을 만들어 함께 대화하는 메신저 서비스에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 모바일 회의는 회의 참석자가 스마트폰 메신저를 이용하여 장소에 구애받지 않고 회의에 참가하여 토론하는 것을 의미한다. 모바일 회의의 실용화를 위해서는 회의 참석자의 이동성과 프라이버시가 보장되어야 한다. 이동성은 장소에 구애받지 않는 것으로 회의 참석자 대신 다른 사람이 회의에 참석할 수 없어야 한다. 프라이버시는 회의 참석자들이 회의 결과에 동의하고 그 내용에 대해서 부인할 수 없는 것을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 이동성과 프라이버시를 제공하는 모바일 회의 인증 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 회의 그룹 생성, 그룹 공통키 생성, 그룹 서명 생성 및 검증 프로토콜로 구성된다. 도전-응답 방식의 그룹 서명 검증은 회의 참석자가 모두 참여해야만 검증이 가능하다. 따라서 제안한 방법은 이해 관계에 있는 참석자들의 공모 공격에 대해서 안전하다.

Corporate Meeting Destination Choice: The Effects of Organizational Structure

  • This study attempted to determine the influence of organizational structure on the novelty preference for corporate meeting destination choice. The three dimensions of structure incorporated were formalization, centralization and complexity. A total of 75 corporate meeting planners drawn from public listed services organizations were involved. The main method of data collection was questionnaire survey and multiple regression analysis was employed as the main statistical technique. The results revealed that both formalization and centralization were negatively correlated with novelty preference while complexity was positively correlated. However, only complexity contributed significantly to the prediction of novelty preference for corporate meeting destination choice. The main implication of this study is pertaining to the segmentation and targeting of the corporate meeting market. This study helped in bridging the gap between tourism marketing and organizational research. It also contributed by developing the measurement for novelty preference from the context of experiential marketing.

  • Treatise Yin-Yang is based on Chun-chu-shi-dae and composed in Jen-guk-shi-dae and the systemic constant is effected at the age of Han-dae. This study needs the deep philosophic understanding and principal. In conclusion, the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang is conducted by the parting and meeting of Three-yin-three-yang. In addition, this theory is based on the Taoism. Yin-Yang is embodied by Sky-Ground-Sun-Moon, had the meaning of time and place and accomplished their own rules with identification as one. Critical Factors for Organizational Commitment: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • How to manage a business effectively and successfully is the most important goal of all businesses on their way to expand and develop. Most researchers have confirmed that highly committed employees may perform better than less committed ones. The paper aims to find out what critical factors really affect employee's commitment for success of a business. The findings show that three factors having impacts on organizational commitment are leadership, meeting effectiveness and job satisfaction. Particularly, leadership positively affects meeting effectiveness with weight of 0.838. It is believed that if employees feel satisfied with their job, they become more committed to their organization. In addition, it is evident that meeting effectiveness positively affects organizational commitment with weight of 0.296. Last but not the least, in the relationship between meeting effectiveness and organizational commitment, there is a mediator of job satisfaction with the indirect effect of 0.454 and its bootstrap errors at 0.053. It emphasizes the importance of meetings in workplaces. In order to make subordinates satisfied with their jobs, every conflict or problem needs to be thoroughly resolved in meetings. That's why meeting effectiveness has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, whether meetings are effective or not is based on leaders or meeting organizers.

한국 근대말 운동회의 다양성에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Diversity of Sports Meetings in the Late Modern Period of Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 근대말 학교운동회, 학교들 연합운동회, 그리고 사회단체의 운동회의 개최 상황과 그 다양성에 대해서 서술하였다. 연구방법은 당시의 신문기사 자료를 검색하여 대표적 운동회의 당시 실제 기사를 자료로 하였다. 결론으로는 근대의 운동회는 우리나라 근대체육의 시작과 발전의 산실이었고. 우리의 선입견과 달리 민족주의적 성격만이 아닌 여러 성격이 있었다는 점을 강조하였다. 특히 당시 사회단체의 운동회를 기사화한 내용을 살펴보면, 운동회 주관단체도 근대체육 수용의 선구적 단체인 황성기독교 청년회 운동회만이 아닌, 일반 여성단체, 노동조합의 성격의 노동자 운동회도 개최되었음을 알 수 있다. 대한체육구락부의 창립직후 결의를 다지는 운동회, 순천 부인회의 서현여자학교 운동회 주관, 경성 급수상들의 운동회, 현재의 동문 운동회에 비견되는 서북학생 친목회 등의 운동회들이 개최되었다. 본고에서는 이들 사회단체 운동회의 다양성을 부각시키며, 동시에 가장 많이 열렸던 학교 운동회와 학교간 연합운동회가 우리나라의 근대 체육의 발전과 사회체육발전에 중요한 역할을 하였고, 국내의 여러 체육대회로 발전하는 계기가 되었음을 서술하였다.
