X-Ray Angiography has been gold standard for imaging of blood flow. However, patients have to take many risks such as catheterization procedure, iodine contrast agent and ionizing X-rays. MR Angiography has been suggested as a substitute for its non-hazard to patient. But the resolution and contrast was inferior to that of X-ray Angiography. Recently the resolution and the contrast have been much improved due to the development of fast imaging technique. Here we report some preliminary results of the MR Angiography we have implemented on 1 Tesla MRI unit.

Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) has kept the largest amount of gene-expression microarray data that have grown exponentially. Microarray data in GEO have been generated in many different formats and often lack standardized annotation and documentation. It is hard to know if preprocessing has been applied to a dataset or not and in what way. Standard-based integration of heterogeneous data formats and metadata is necessary for comprehensive data query, analysis and mining. We attempted to integrate the heterogeneous microarray data in GEO based on Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment (MIAME) standard. We unified the data fields of GEO Data table and mapped the attributes of GEO metadata into MIAME elements. We also discriminated non-preprocessed raw datasets from others and processed ones by using a two-step classification method. Most of the procedures were developed as semi-automated algorithms with some degree of text mining techniques. We localized 2,967 Platforms, 4,867 Series and 103,590 Samples with covering 279 organisms, integrated them into a standard-based relational schema and developed a comprehensive query interface to extract. Background and purpose: The purpose of this study is to search recognition patients in Eight constitution Oriental Medical Clinic. And we compare Eight constitution acupuncture methods with the another acupuncture methods. Methods: The subjects were comprised of 200 volunteers. In 3 Eight constitution Oriental Medical Clinic participants were chosen through questionnaire. Finishing answer participants put in their lacked name questionnaire to gathering box. DecisionTree (AnswerTree 3.0 Ver.) statistical software was used for statistical analysis. Results and Conclusion: As a result of the analysis of cognition to Eight constitution acupuncture methods was influenced to patients health, dietetic therapy is best influenced. Next influenced acupuncture reflex degree, age, job, constitution, cure periods, sex distinction, cure degree, diagnosed participant's Constitution by pulse diagnosis in 8 Constitution Medicine.

ln general, hospital information system should provide interoperability hat usually and operate independence of other HIS. This study proposes a new HIS paradigm that can be implemented within standard HL7 Interface engine and clinical data repository (CDR). We have developed an alternative architecture relying on agent solutions with distributed queries to heterogeneous databases. This architecture creates a very fine and flexible repository that can handle queries with the bases of standard HL7 messaging structure. Deploying Agent solutions to manipulate autonomy of storage management and sociality for communication with open world is another issue that keeps this system from reinventing existing wheels in medical informatics. This study the first attempt to construct CDR based private clinic. We used the information stored in the clinical patient record system of the internal medicine private hospital which is used rational database. We were searched increasing the 1,000 data entry from 1,000 to 10,000. By the result, experimental CDR showed highly efficient performance more than 6,000. In the future, the CDR can be further extended for clinical information among private hospitals estranged from EHR (Electronic Health Records).

Objectives: To review the history, method, parameters, system of electrogastrography(EGG) and to study its oriental medical application in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods: We investigate the research results through internet search engine, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). Results: In China, EGG was studied on various regions, including multifarious regions of Traditional Chinese Medical. And also regions of Traditional Chinese Medical could divide classification of diseases, herbal medicine, acupuncture and the like. Conclusions: EGG is a noninvasive, easy and painless method that is kept recordings of the electrical activity of the stomach, therefore it has used for studies and clinics widely. EGG in Traditional Chinese Medicine has used an objective parameter that verified efficacies of oriental medicine. I would therefore like to conclude that there should be continued study and active application of EGG in the wide variety of oriental medicine.

In Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI), the QRS complex of ECG is used as a trigger signal for MRI scan. But, gradient and RF(radio frequency) artifacts which are caused to static and dynamic field in MRI scanner cause interference in the ECG. Also, the signal shape of theses artifacts can be similar to the QRS-complex, causing possible misinterpretation during patient monitoring and false gating of the MRI. In case of using general FIR or IIR band-pass filters for minimizing the artifacts, artifact-reduction-ratio is not excellent. So, an adaptive real-time digital filter is proposed for reduction of noise by gradient and RF(radio frequency) artifacts. The proposed filter for MRI-Gating is based on the noise-canceller with NLMS(Normalized Least Mean Square) algorithm. The reference signals of the adaptive noise canceller are a combination of the noisy three channel ECG signals. In conclusions, the proposed method showed the acceptable quality of ECG signal with sufficient SNR for gating the MRI and possibility of real time implementation.

IP VPN의 사용은 현재 보편화 되었고 네트워크 장비의 통합 추세에 따라 IP VPN과 방화벽 통합제품의 생산이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 통합 보안 제품은 비용 효율성과 관리의 편리성, 확장성, 유연성과 같은 장점을 제공하지만 높은 성능 지원을 요구한다. 방화벽의 성능 인자의 하나로서 정책의 개수는 그 수에 비례하여 검색 시간이 지연되는 문제를 발생시키고, 이러한 성능 저하 문제는 VPN과 통합 시 더욱 가중된다. 더욱이 차세대 네트워크인 IPv6로 환경에서는 IP의 비트수가 증가하여 검색 성능 문제 해결이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 통합 제품의 검색 성능 문제에 관한 해결 방안으로 IPv6 주소의 특성을 사용한 메커니즘을 제안한다. 제시한 메커니즘은 보안 정책 테이블의 주소 필드를 IPv6 주소에 포함된 인터페이스 식별자로 대체하여 보안 정책 테이블의 검색 속도를 향상시키는 방법이다. 이 방법은 차세대 네트워크 환경에서 주목 되고 있는 보안 및 성능 문제에 대해 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

Quality management is a recent phenomenon. Advanced civilizations that supported the arts and crafts allowed clients to choose goods meeting higher quality standards than normal goods. There are many methods for quality improvement. Health care, refers to the treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services offered by the medical, dental, complementary and alternative medicine, pharmaceutical, clinical laboratory sciences (in vitro diagnostics), nursing, and allied health professions. Health care embraces all the goods and services designed to promote health, including "preventive, curative and palliative interventions, whether directed to individuals or to populations. The overall impact of managed care remains widely debated. Proponents argue that it has increased efficiency, improved overall standards, and led to a better understanding of the relationship between costs and quality. Practices can solicit feedback from patients in a variety of ways: phone surveys, written surveys, focus groups or personal interviews. What do I do with the results? While you don't have to act on every suggestion that your patients give you, you should take action on the key items that are causing dissatisfaction.

Background: Anticancer agents induce a variety of adverse effects when administered to cancer patients. Busulfan is a known antileukemia agent. When administered for treatment of leukemia in young patients, busulfan could cause damage to the male reproductive system as one of its adverse effects, resulting in sterility. Methods: We investigated the effects of Korean Red Ginseng extract (KRGE) on busulfan-induced damage and/or dysfunction of the male reproductive system. Results: We found that administration of busulfan to mice: decreased testis weight; caused testicular histological damage; reduced the total number of sperm, sperm motility, serum testosterone concentration; and eventually, litter size. Preadministration of KRGE partially attenuated various busulfan-induced damages to the male reproductive system. These results indicate that KRGE has a protective effect against busulfan-induced damage to the male reproduction system. Conclusion: The present study shows a possibility that KRGE could be applied as a useful agent to prevent or protect the male reproductive system from the adverse side effects induced by administration of anticancer agents such as busulfan.

An Epidemic disease is regarded as warm disease by Korean Medicine. Warm disease is highly contagious and shows an unfavorable condition, and that is characteristic of being widely prevalent. Warm disease study cope with this epidemic disease opportunely. In the Myeong[明] and Cheong[淸] Dynasty, warm disease study got into the region of Korean medicine of today and "The Sections of Warm Disease(溫病條辨)" contributed to the cause of the study was really great. "The Sections of Warm Disease" written by Ohguktong(吳鞠通) in the Cheong Dynasty are divided into the three sections of Upper burner[上焦], Middle burner[中焦] and Lower burner[下焦]. Ohguktong, dealing with the contents of Defense-aspect[衛分], Gi-aspect[氣分], Construction-aspect[營分], Blood-aspect[血分], and so forth in all "Sections of Warm Disease", made use of Seopcheonsa(葉天士)'s Defense Gi[衛氣], Construction, and Blood pattern identification with Triple burner[三焦] pattern identification and six channel pattern identification. And he, having a correct understanding of the nature of medicine, suggested in detail that the directions of medicine and described the processing according to method and the method to take medicine. To conclude, Ohguktong(吳鞠通) Tong in "The Sections of Warm Disease" not only formulated the system of the practical theory of warm disease but also solidified the foundation covering warm disease and its treatment as well, He established the new method of treatment and formula related to warm disease and made a definite distinction between cold damage[傷寒] and warm disease[溫病].
