Purpose: The purpose of this study is to verify the direct influences of the risk factors of the family environment on the problem behaviors of early adolescents, and the indirect influences of the same by the mediation of ego resilience. Method: After random extraction of five elementary schools located in D metropolitan city, we conducted a survey of 5th and 6th-grade male and female students. For the analysis, we used data from the questionnaire results of 450 students. For the data analysis, we performed t-test of independent samples, one-way ANOVA, path analysis and Sobel test, utilizing SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Result: The direct influence of the risk factors of the family environment on the problem behaviors of the early adolescents was 0.447, while the indirect influence by the mediation of ego resilience was 0.146. Conclusion: It was found that the risk factors of the family environment not only exert direct influences on the problem behaviors of early adolescents, they also have indirect influences on the problem behaviors of early adolescents by way of the mediation of ego resilience.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating mediation effect of self-esteem on the relations among adolescents' abuse experiences, depression and anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Methods: The participants were selected using secondary data from a population in the 2012 Korea Welfare Panel Survey (KOWEPS). Data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0 and SPSS Macro, and bootstrapping and hierarchical regression analysis were performed to analyze multilevel models. Results: First, analysis of the mediating effect of the adolescents' abuse showed that there was significant mediating influence between suicidal ideation and depression and anxiety. Second, hierarchical regression analysis showed that self-esteem had significant mediation effect on depression and anxiety in adolescents' suicidal ideation. Third, SPSS Macro showed that self-esteem also significantly moderated the mediating effect of adolescents' abuse experiences on suicidal ideation through depression and anxiety. Conclusion: The study results suggest that in future research on adolescent's abuse experience, the risk of suicide in depression and anxiety scores should be selected through evaluation of each individual's self-esteem scale. Coping strategies with immediate early intervention should be suggested.
This study aims to verify the effect that familism recognized by college students has on anxiety over aging and elderly group's attitude as well as mediation effect of a sense of filial duty. For study analysis, 200 college students studying at colleges in Sungnam, Anyang and Incheon in Gyeonggido as well as in Seoul were surveyed using structured questionnaires from May 2, 2016 to June 28, 2016. All of 166 responses except for 34 incomplete ones were used for analysis. Firstly, analysis result confirmed correlation among familism, anxiety over aging, elderly group's attitude and variables in sense of filial duty. Multicollinearity between variables were confirmed using VIF values. Secondly, the effect that familism recognized by college students has on anxiety over aging and elderly group's attitude was confirmed. Thirdly, partial mediation effect of a sense of filial duty was confirmed in the effect that familism recognized by college students has on anxiety over aging. In addition, Sobel Test suggested by Sobel was conducted to verify significance of the mediation effect. This study suggests intervention in and practice of social welfare to promote familism and a sense of filial duty between college students and elderly generation in this era of nuclear family and aging society as well as reduction of anxiety over aging on the part of college students, based on the verified mediation effect of a sense of filial duty in the effect that familism recognized by college students in aging society has on anxiety over aging.
Despite the rapid reorganization of the center of consumption online, the fashion industry is still strengthening brand marketing using offline stores. This study investigates the psychological mechanisms of shopping flow by three mediators that influence the e-word of mouth(e-WOM) as a marketing performance variable in recent marketing. Data collection was conducted online for 241 women in their 20s and 30s. The significance of multi-mediated pathways was verified using Process 3.5 Model 6. The results for multiple mediation paths are as follows. First, the direct effect of shopping flow on brand advocacy was not significant. Second, analysis of the significance of the indirect effect via simple mediation found that the path mediated by shopping value in the path from the shopping flow to brand advocacy was significant. Third, analysis of the indirect effect by double mediation revealed all three double mediating effects of shopping flow on brand advocacy were significant(emotional response and shopping value, emotional response and store attachment, shopping value and store attachment). Fourth, analysis of the significance of the indirect effect by sequential multiple mediation established the indirect effect leading to emotional response, shopping value, and store attachment was significant. These results indicate that the operation of an experiential fashion store is not just a means for sales, but a communication tool that improves and promotes the brand advocacy by providing brand experience in a store.
Purpose: This study was done to develop a prediction model for postpartum depression by verifying the mediation effect of antepartum depression. A hypothesized model was developed based on literature reviews and predictors of postpartum depression by Beck. Methods: Data were collected from 186 pregnant women who had a gestation period of more than 32 weeks and were patients at a maternity hospital, two obstetrics and gynecology specialized hospitals, or the outpatient clinic of K medical center. Data were analysed with descriptive statistics, correlation and exploratory factor analysis using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. Results: The final modified model had good fit indices. Parenting stress, antepartum depression and postpartum family support had statistically significant effects on postpartum depression, and defined 74.7% of total explained variance of postpartum depression. Antepartum depression had significant mediation effects on postpartum depression from stress in pregnancy and self-esteem. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is important to develop nursing interventions including strategies to reduce parenting stress and improve postpartum family support in order to prevent postpartum depression. Especially, it is necessary to detect and treat antepartum depression early to prevent postpartum depression as antepartum depression can affect postpartum depression by mediating antepartum factors.
This research examined the mediation effects of knowledge absorptive capacity (KAC) and knowledge management capability (KMC), between information communication technology (ICT) implementation and firm performance. In the past, studies investigated KAC and KMC separately. While studies of KAC focus on the flow of information, those of KMC focus on knowledge creation triggered by innovative information. However, KAC and KMC are not mutually exclusive and as such we investigated them together in this research. We surveyed 126 companies and analyzed hypotheses with LISREL analysis. This research provided empirical support for the Nonaka's contention that the information processing has a positive effect on knowledge creation. We also found that there is a mediation effect between ICT implementation and firm performance. Not only is there a direct effect of ICT implementation on firm performance, but there is an indirect effect through KAC and KMC. KAC has a positive effect on both KMC and firm performance. However, it has been discovered that while KMC has mediation effect, it is not significant as an independent factor for firm performance.
Purpose: This study was conducted to test whether sleep disturbance mediates the effect of pain on fatigue, whether fatigue mediates the effect of pain on depression, and whether fatigue mediates the effect of sleep disturbance on depression. Methods: This study was conducted from September 12th to December 20th, 2011. One hundred eighty-eight breast cancer patients were recruited from D city and S city in Korea. The instruments used in this study were the pain, sleep disturbance, fatigue, and depression scales. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and mediation pathway with the SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. Results: There was correlation among pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and depression. Mediation analyses indicated that pain influences fatigue. sleep disturbance, and depression directly as well as indirectly. Sleep disturbance influences fatigue and depression directly, also fatigue influences depression directly. But sleep disturbance had no direct effect on depression. Conclusion: Significant correlations among the four symptoms supported the existence of the symptom cluster. Effects of pain on fatigue was partially mediated by sleep disturbance, also effects of pain on depression was partially mediated by fatigue. However, the effects of sleep disturbance on depression was fully mediated by fatigue.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the presentation mode (sequential- vs. simultaneous-mode) of information influences its evaluation. Three experiments revealed the interaction effect between the presentation mode and the valence of the product information. When respondents read about the positive aspects of the product, the evaluation was higher in the simultaneous presentation mode than in the sequential presentation mode. For negative product information, respondents' evaluation was higher in the sequential presentation mode than in the simultaneous presentation mode. The simultaneous presentation mode intensified the impact of the information valence on evaluation. This study proposed that the sequential and the simultaneous presentation modes prime high and low construal levels, respectively. The mediation analysis provides support for such a prediction. Finally, the mediating effect of construal levels in evaluation was shown to disappear when respondents focused on the product information for a longer duration, while the mediation effect remained when the response time was short.
