종합병원의 간호조직문화가 간호사의 직무만족과 이직의사에 미치는 영향 : 임파워먼트의 매개효과 검정 (The Effect Nursing Organizational Culture on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention in General Hospital : The Mediating Effect of Empowerment)

  • The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between nursing organizational culture and job satisfaction and turnover intention. Furthermore this study analyzed the mediating effect of empowerment on the relationship between two variables. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted. The major findings of this study are as follows: nursing organizational culture having a positive effect on empowerment and organizational effectiveness. The empowerment as a mediating role between nursing organizational culture and job satisfaction and turnover intention was statistically significant. This finding showed that desirable organizational culture and improvement of empowerment is necessary to maintain nursing staff's organizational loyalty and eventually to improve total organizational performance.

Mediating Effect of Psychological Empowerment on the Causal Relationship between High-Performance Work System and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Social Welfare Organizations

  • The study is to examine the mediating effect of psychological empowerment on the causal relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. This study collected data from public organizations that are responsible for social welfare provision in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-Do, and Pusan in South Korea. This study employs confirmatory factor analysis in Amos 21 to find the discriminant validity of all constructs and regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986) to test that psychological empowerment is a mediator of the causal relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. As the result of the analysis, psychological empowerment has a significant mediating effect on the relationship between high-performance work system and organizational citizenship behavior. The study suggests to the managers in social welfare organizations how they need to enhance organizational citizenship behavior through psychological empowerment themselves.

서번트 리더십이 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 임파워먼트 매개효과 (A Study on the Impact of Servant Leadership Affecting Creativity : The Mediating Effect of Empowerment)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify not only the impact of servant leadership affecting creativity but the mediating effect of empowerment. Creativity refers to the production of novel and useful ideas by an individual or by a group of individuals working together [2]. A survey was conducted by 301 employees. This study used the structure equation model which treated the servant leadership as independent variable and creativity as criterion variables. Empowerment was supposed as mediating variable of these relationships. As a result of this study, servant leadership had positive influence on empowerment. Empowerment had positive influence on creativity. Also servant leadership had positive effect on creativity at first, but it did not have a direct effect on creativity when empowerment was considered. These mean that empowerment is complete mediation variable because servant leadership no longer affects creativity after empowerment has been considered. Several implications, limitations and directions for future research were discussed.

장애자녀 양육경험 인식이 가족적응에 미치는 영향 - 임파워먼트의 매개효과 - (The Effects of Parent's Positive Perception of Parenting Children with Disabilities on Family Adaptation -Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Empowerment -)

  • 이 연구는 강점관점에서 장애자녀 양육경험에 대한 부모의 긍정적 인식과 임파워먼트의 효과성을 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 대구 경북의 장애자녀를 둔 부모 189명을 대상으로 질문지법을 통해 장애자녀 및 가족의 일반적 특성과 양육부담을 통제하면서 장애자녀 양육경험에 대한 부모의 긍정적 인식이 가족적응에 미치는 영향을 임파워먼트가 매개하는지 분석하였다. 그 결과, 부모들은 장애자녀의 양육경험을 대체로 긍정적으로 평가하고 있는 것으로 조사되었고, 장애자녀 양육경험에 대한 부모의 긍정적 인식과 임파워먼트는 가족적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 긍정적 인식이 임파워먼트 보다 가족적응을 더 잘 예측하는 요인으로 밝혀졌다. 임파워먼트는 부모의 긍정적 인식과 가족적응과의 관계에서 부분매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 장애아동 가족에 대한 이론적, 실천적 함의를 제시하고 연구한계와 함께 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

  • The purposes of this study are to examine the impact of LMX on psychological empowerment, job engagement, and customer orientation, and to analyze the dual mediation effect of psychological empowerment and job engagement. To conduct this study, we used 333 questionnaires collected by members of domestic companies and organizations. Analyses results are as follows: First, LMX has no positive effect on customer orientation. Second, in the relationship between LMX and customer orientation, psychological empowerment and job engagement play a mediating role. Third, in the relationship between LMX and customer orientation, psychological empowerment and Job Engagement play a dual mediating role. The results of this study suggest the following implications. The theoretical implication is that this study once again confirmed behavior patterns such as cognition, emotion, attitude, and behavior of members in the organization. In addition, this study contributes to the literature by explaining that these behavior patterns by way of social exchange theory. The practical implication is that this study confirmed that members in the management field need to utilize a customer orientation in order to achieve the organization's goal efficiently and effectively.

A Study on the Relationship between Job Characteristic Factors and Job Performance - Focusing on the Mediating Role of Empowerment

  • Purpose: This study verified the influence of teachers' job characteristics on empowerment and job performance, and the mediating effect of empowerment in the relationship between job characteristics factors and job performance. Research design, data, and methodology: As a factor influencing human resources that influence organizational success or failure, job characteristics induce an important psychological state in organizational members, which affects individual motivation and job satisfaction, thereby achieving the goal of securing stable management and job security. In this study, a questionnaire survey of private academy instructors was conducted and reliability and factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. Results: The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of the job characteristics of academy instructors on empowerment and job performance, and to verify whether empowerment plays a mediating role in the relationship between job characteristics and job performance. Conclusions: As a result of verifying Hypothesis 1, the educational environment, expertise, and social support of academy instructors all had a significant positive (+) effect on job performance. As a result of the verification of Hypothesis 2, empowerment greatly mediated the relationship between the educational environment, expertise, and job performance. However, empowerment did not mediate the relationship between social support for academy instructors and job performance.

  • 본 연구는 장애자녀부모의 돌봄부담감과 라이프디자인 간의 구조적 관계에서 돌봄효능감이 갖는 매개효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 장애자녀부모를 대상으로 돌봄부담감, 돌봄효능감, 라이프디자인 척도를 이용하여 설문조사 하였고, 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 돌봄부담감과 돌봄효능감 사이 그리고 돌봄효능감과 라이프디자인 사이에 직접적인 영향관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 둘째, 돌봄효능감은 돌봄부담감과 라이프디자인의 영향관계에서 완전 매개효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 장애자녀에 대한 라이프디자인 수립 활성화를 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안들을 제안하였다.

The Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment between Leadership and Motivation for Retail Store Workers

  • Purpose: This study aims to fill the existing gap in the existing literature by investigating the mediating effect of psychological empowerment between leadership and motivation for workers at retail stores, and to extend the previous research to determine the preferences of the researchers and practitioners in leadership and employee motivation in retail through a systematic approach. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a systematic approach to the mediation effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship between leadership and employee motivation in retail stores. To ensure completeness, systematization, and transparency, the preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach was applied. Results: The research findings (Total Four Mediating Roles) suggest that psychological empowerment may mediate between leadership and employee motivation. These mediation roles (Empowering Leadership Styles, Organizational Culture and Psychological Empowerment, Customer Psychological Empowerment, and High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Psychological Empowerment) will help practitioners comprehend how these empowerment and motivation leadership styles are interconnected in the retail industry. Conclusions: The research results indicate that psychological empowerment is essential for employee motivation in the retail sector. Through this knowledge, retail store managers can implement strategies designed to empower employees and create a motivated workforce, bolstering organizational effectiveness.

조직몰입과 직무만족간의 관계에 대한 심리적 임파워먼트의 매개 효과 (The Mediating Effect of Psychological Empowerment on the Relationship between Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구에서는 수도권에 소재한 사회복지 이용 및 생활시설에 종사하는 사회복지사 215명을 대상으로 편의모집(purposive sampling)하여 조사하였다. 연구의 목적은 조직몰입과 심리적 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 관한 규명과 조직몰입과 직무만족간의 관계에 있어서 심리적 임파워먼트의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 검증결과 먼저 심리적 임파워먼트은 직무만족에 대해 각각 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회복지사의 심리적 임파워먼트 수준이 높아지면 조직몰입과 직무만족이 높아진다는 점이다. 매개효과에 대한 검증결과에 있어 심리적 임파워먼트의 의미성은 정서적 몰입, 계속적 몰입, 규범적 몰입과 직무만족간의 관계에서 매개효과를 확인하였다. 또한 자기권한에서도 정서적 몰입, 계속적 몰입, 규범적 몰입과 직무만족간의 관계에서 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 역량 역시 정서적 몰입, 계속적 몰입, 규범적 몰입과 직무만족간의 관계에서 매개효과가 나타났다. 검증결과를 통하여 앞서 제시한 4개의 가설들은 모두 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 검증결과를 통한 연구의 함의는 우선 사회복지사의 심리적 임파워먼트는 조직몰입과 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되어 임파워먼트가 조직에 유용한 관리기법이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 논의를 통해 임파워먼트가 직무만족과 조직몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었기에 효율적인 조직효과성, 즉 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이기 위해 임파워먼트의 증대가 반드시 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

심리적자본이 임파워먼트와 학습성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Psychological Capital on Empowerment and Learning Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of psychological capital on empowerment and learning performance and the mediating effect of the empowerment on the relationship between psychological capital and learning performance. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were obtained from 283 university students in Ulsan Metropolitan City and were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0, AMOS 5.0. The findings are as follows: First, the psychological capital were positively related to the empowerment and the learning performance. Second, there was also a positive relationship between the empowerment and the learning performance. Finally, it is found that empowerment fully mediated the relationship of psychological capital and earning performance. The theoretical implication of the study includes that this study and findings advance the understanding of learning performance by suggesting a new viewpoint regarding how psychological capital and empowerment to motivate university's learning performance. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.
