스마트미디어 기반의 '닭의 한살이' 융합인재교육(STEAM) 수업이 초등학생의 학업성취도, 과학 탐구 능력 및 정의적 영역에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Smart Media Based STEAM Program of 'Chicken Life Cycle' on Academic Achievement, Scientific Process Skills and Affective Domain of Elementary School Students)

  • This paper examines the effects on academic achievement, scientific process skills and affective domain for elementary students learning the 'Chicken life cycle' through traditional science class versus a smart media based STEAM approach. Students designed and built a hatching jar and created a smart media content for chickens using time-lapse technology. This STEAM program was developed to improve their scientific concepts of animals over nine periods of classes using integrated education methods. The experimental study took place in the third grade of public schools in a province, with the STEAM approach applied in 2 classes (44 students) and the traditional discipline approach implemented in 2 classes (46 students). The STEAM education significantly influenced the improvement of academic achievements, basic scientific process skills and affective domain. The results suggest that this STEAM approach for teaching scientific concepts of animal life cycles has the performance in terms of knowledge, skills and affect gain achievements in elementary school students' learning when compared to a traditional approach. Moreover, the smart media based STEAM program is helpful to lead students to engage in integrated problem-solving designs and learning science and technology.

산성수용매에서 이-$\mu$-옥소비스-(아쿠아옥살라토옥소몰리브덴 (V)) 산이온과 티오시안산이온의 반응 (Kinetic Studies on the Reaction of Thiocyanate with Di-$\mu$-oxobis-(aquaoxalatooxomolybdate (V)) in Acid Media)

  • 산성용매에서 몰리브덴-옥살산 결합의 고리열림이 일어난 다음 티오시안산과 반응하는 속도를 460nm에서 분광학적으로 측정하였다. 산성용매에서 몰리브덴-옥살산의 해리와 이 해리된 착물과 티오시안산의 반응속도를 티오시안산 및 수소이온농도에 따라 연구하였다. 몰티브덴에 결합된 옥살산리간드에 양성자첨가가 되고 이 양성자 첨가된 착물은 티오시안산이온과 반응을 빠르게 한다. 이들 결과에서부터 산성용매에서 옥살산리간드의 치환은 몰리브덴닐산소의 트란스에 결합된 산소의 결합이 끊어지는 과정과 관련되는 해리메카니즘에 의해서 설명할 수 있다.

교육정책관련 여론탐색을 위한 소셜미디어 감정분석 연구 (A Study on Social Media Sentiment Analysis for Exploring Public Opinions Related to Education Policies)

  • 웹2.0시대와 더불어 소셜미디어 서비스의 발달로 전통적인 여론형성의 기능이 매스미디어에서 소셜미디어로 일부 이동되었으며, 이런 현상은 계속 확대되고 있어, 정부 정책에 대한 소셜미디어 기반의 여론이 관심을 받고 있다. 특히, 교육정책은 다양한 이해관계자들이 존재하고, 정책의제 설정과정에서도 많은 의견의 충돌이 발생되기 때문에 정책을 수립함에 있어 대중의 여론을 파악하는 것이 더욱 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 교육정책관련 소셜미디어 서비스를 통해 작성된 문서들을 오피니언 마이닝 기법으로 분석하여, 교육관련 정책에 대한 대중의 여론탐색을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 소셜미디어 서비스를 통해 사용자들이 생산하는 교육정책 관련 문서들을 키워드 기반으로 수집하고, 토큰화 시킨 후 감성자질을 추출하고 감성사전으로부터 해당 문서의 감정을 점수화 하여, 특정 교육정책 키워드에 대한 대중의 여론을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 디지털교과서, 이러닝 등을 키워드로 하는 스마트교육 정책에 대해서는 긍정보다 부정적인 감정이 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 코딩교육, 컴퓨터적 사고 등을 키워드로 하는 소프트웨어 교육 정책에 대해서는 긍정적인 여론의 방향으로 나타났다. 자유학기제, 창의 인성교육 등을 키워드로 하는 일반 정책에 대해서는 부정적인 여론이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전체 분석 대상 문서 중에서 감정 자질이 전혀 추출되지 않은 문서가 20%나 되어 블로그나 트위터의 내용에 저자의 의견이 반영되지 않은 내용이 아직 일정 비율로 존재함을 알 수 있었다.

애니메이션 제작을 통한 미디어 리터러시 교육 방향 연구 (A Study on the direction of Media Literacy education based on the development of animation)

  • 본 연구는 애니메이션 제작을 통한 차세대 미디어 리터러시 교육 프로그램 개발을 목표로 그 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 선행 연구를 통한 미디어 리터러시 교육 목표 설정과 애니메이션 제작 과정을 연계하여 총 4단계의 교육 프로그램을 구성하였다. 첫 번째, 미디어 접근역량 강화를 위한 애니메이션 제작 도구 습득 단계. 두 번째, 창의적 제작 역량 강화를 위한 애니메이션 제작 실습 단계. 세 번째, 비판적 이해력 함양을 위한 결과물 발표 및 토론 단계. 네 번째, 사회적 소통 역량 강화를 위한 사회적 공유 단계이다. 교육 프로그램의 실제 적용을 위해 한서대학교 애니메이션 여름 캠프를 위한 교육 모형으로 제작되어 충청도 지역 79명의 중학생에게 교육되었다. 애니메이션 제작을 기반으로 한 교육과정을 통해 학생들의 비판적 분석 능력이 향상되었고 능동적인 참여자로 바뀌는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 향후 다양한 미디어를 활용한 교육 프로그램 개발의 지속적인 연구가 필요할 것이다.

지역사회개발과 사회교육을 위한 개발커뮤니케이션 접근 (Development Communication Approaches to Community Development and Adult Education)

  • The purposes of this exploratory study were to interrelate the scholastic discipline of the ‘development communication’ into ‘community development’ and ‘adult education’ in terms of interests, views and theoretical backgrounds of these fields of social sciences; and to draw some implications for developing scholastic interactions among these fields to pursue common social changes of human society. Development communications provide opportunities to set goals, to decide contents, and to utilize communication media in developmental efforts. Contemporary trends of development communication, community development and adult education are concerned with indigenous, two-way, bottom-up and people-centered communication from exogenous, one-way, top-down and institution-centered communication of the past. Multidisciplinary approaches to communication concepts and methodology may increase the potentials of community development and adult education in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. Some of the development communication approaches such as traditional and folk media approach. new media or ICT(information & communication technology) approach, participatory communication for development approach, communication support development approach and mass media approach may be applicable for community development and adult education. Better understanding on development communication approaches will be needed for the adult educators as well as community development practitioners.

초등학교 도서실의 배치유형과 실내공간 규모에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Layout Type and Space Size in Elementary School Library)

  • According to the new multi-media appeared as a result of rapid growth of the information and science technique, the school library must be changed to the integration of the teach-study media resource from the existing print media. It means that the school library has to play a role of the study center with a different media from the existing teaching material, teaching instrument, facility and opportunity. The Information education must be conducted in the way of an integrated education course and able to do both information transaction and problem settlement. The education facility to solve this problem is the school library. Therefore, the school library becomes important more and more. It means that the school library is the center of entire study and education material for the teacher and student is focused on it. It is urgent to make the standard of the school library In order to cope with the new education and information environments. And especially it is very important to make a plan about the location and scale of the school library to improve the quality of the children's studying activity. The location of the school library is decided under consideration of the relationship with other room of school house and the proper scale of it is between 2.5units and 7.0units of classroom based on the number of class.

음란매체가 초등학생의 성의식에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Obscene Media on Elementary School Student's Sex Consciousness)

  • The purpose of this study was to serve as a basis for more effective sex education, by examining the influence of obscene media on elementary school student's sex consciousness. For attaining the purpose, the research questions were posed as follows: 1) What's general characteristics of elementary school students? 2) How much are elementary school students exposed to obscene media? 3) Is their sex consciousness different according to the degree of being exposed to obscene media and the appearance of secondary sex characteristic? The subject of study were the 400 male and female students who were in the sixth grade at elementary school in the city of Paju. The questionnaire survey was conducted to find out their general characteristics, sex consciousness and degree of being exposed to obscene media. The conclusions were as follows; 1) Basic Information 94% of the students investigated were living with their parents. The greatest number of their parents were in their fourties. Concerning the religion of their families, 47.5% belonged to Christianity or Catholicism. 47.3% got in touch with obscene media, which indicated that the harmful influence of that media was great. Their basic knowledge of pregnancy was very poor, as 27.2% weren't sure whether being pregnant could be caused only by shaking hands, hugging or kissing. 34.7% considered it a natural behavior to contact the other sex. Regarding their practice of sexual behavior, they'd have an experience of hugging or kissing. 2) Group Comparison The female students underwent the appearance of secondary sex characteristic faster than the male students. As a result of examining if their degree of being exposed to obscene media was affected by the presence or absence of secondary sex characteristic, no statistically significant difference existed in all the groups: the entire group, male student group and female student group. There appeared, however, statistically significant differences between male and female students, as the number of male student who hadn't yet been exposed to obscene media was less than that of female student who hadn't. And the number of male student who had been much exposed to obscene media was more than that of female student who had. 3) Sex Knowledge, Sex Attitude and Sex Practice The extent of making contact with obscene media didn't make statistically significant difference to the sex knowledge of all the groups. But more extent of getting in touch with obscene media led to more sex attitude and sex practice in the entire group. However, as a result of analyzing these things by the presence or absence of secondary sex characteristic, it's found in general that the group that had secondary sex characteristic possessed statistically better sex knowledge than the other group that hadn't. For the male students, there appeared little disparities in three subareas of sex knowledge, sex attitude and sex practice. For the female students, however, the group that had secondary sex characteristic owned better sex knowledge than the other group that hadn't, and the former group looked upon sex attitude as more natural.

Incorporation of Media in the Activities of Scientific Library of Higher Education Institution

  • Students can successfully connect with one another thanks to the introduction of Web 2.0 and the tools and technology linked with it. The fact that rising digital tools are systematically influencing the education system is not a secret. The purpose of the research article efficiently evaluates the influence of incorporation of media in the activities of the scientific library of the higher education institution. The research Methodology is the Concepts, techniques, and procedures to effectively inculcate primary and secondary data to conduct the research effortlessly. It's worth noting that in this case, quantitative primary research was provided in the form of a survey. The researchers have proposed a survey in order to successfully instil a comprehensive view on the "incorporation of media in the operations of the scientific library of higher education institutions." As a result, fifty-one higher education institution principals were asked to attend this session. This is necessary to understand that they are both well-educated and cognizant of the impact of technology innovation on schooling. As a result, the researchers were able to gain a comprehensive view of this situation thanks to this survey. The results effectively showed that most of the participants believe that social media plays a vital role in shaping up higher education and at the same time they believe that the libraries of famous educational institutions must adapt as per the new educational trend so that teachers and students both can tap into its benefit.The practical significance of the result is manoeuvred by the efficient survey analysis and at the same time, peer-reviewed journals have been employed to put forward authentic information. Therefore, efficient insight regarding this topic has been gathered by the researchers.

Comparative Study on the Educational Use of Home Robots for Children

  • Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), based on already well-researched Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), has been under vigorous scrutiny since recent developments in robot technology. Robots may be more successful in establishing common ground in project-based education or foreign language learning for children than in traditional media. Backed by its strong IT environment and advances in robot technology, Korea has developed the world's first available e-Learning home robot. This has demonstrated the potential for robots to be used as a new educational media - robot-learning, referred to as 'r-Learning'. Robot technology is expected to become more interactive and user-friendly than computers. Also, robots can exhibit various forms of communication such as gestures, motions and facial expressions. This study compared the effects of non-computer based (NCB) media (using a book with audiotape) and Web-Based Instruction (WBI), with the effects of Home Robot-Assisted Learning (HRL) for children. The robot gestured and spoke in English, and children could touch its monitor if it did not recognize their voice command. Compared to other learning programs, the HRL was superior in promoting and improving children's concentration, interest, and academic achievement. In addition, the children felt that a home robot was friendlier than other types of instructional media. The HRL group had longer concentration spans than the other groups, and the p-value demonstrated a significant difference in concentration among the groups. In regard to the children's interest in learning, the HRL group showed the highest level of interest, the NCB group and the WBI group came next in order. Also, academic achievement was the highest in the HRL group, followed by the WBI group and the NCB group respectively. However, a significant difference was also found in the children's academic achievement among the groups. These results suggest that home robots are more effective as regards children's learning concentration, learning interest and academic achievement than other types of instructional media (such as: books with audiotape and WBI) for English as a foreign language.

중학교 기술·가정 교과서에 반영된 미디어 리터러시 내용 분석 (Analysis of Media Literacy Content Reflected in Middle School Technology and Home Economics Textbooks)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 가정 교과와 미디어 리터러시 교육의 관련성을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 중학교 '기술·가정 2' 교과서 12종의 학습 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 기준으로 '미디어 리터러시 수행 목표'를 선택한 후, 빈도 및 내용 분석 및 세 번의 협의를 통해 미디어 자료의 분포와 '미디어 리터러시 수행 목표'의 반영을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 12종 교과서의 전체 학습자료 중 미디어자료를 이용한 학습자료는 39.6%를 차지하였고 출판사별로 미디어자료를 이용한 학습자료의 빈도와 비중에서 차이가 있었다. 미디어 유형에 따라서는 '인쇄' 68.3%, '영상' 16.7%, '디지털' 13.5%로 분포하였고, 단방향 미디어의 사용은 86.5%로 대부분을 차지하였다. 둘째, 출판사별로 미디어 리터러시 수행목표가 반영된 학습자료의 빈도와 비중에서 차이가 있었고 총체적인 미디어 리터러시 함양을 위해 학습내용의 보완이 필요하였다. 학습자료에 반영된 미디어 리터러시 수행목표 중 '의미 이해와 전달'은 58.8%로 가장 많이 반영된 수행목표였지만 미디어를 통한 쌍방향 소통은 부재하였다. 이러한 교과서 분석 결과를 바탕으로 가정과 미디어 리터러시 수행목표를 수정하여 제안하면 다음과 같다. '의미 이해와 자기표현', '소통과 사회참여', '책임있는 미디어 이용', '감상과 향유', '미디어 기술 활용', '정보 검색과 선택', '창작과 제작', '비판적 이해와 평가'이다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 현장의 가정 수업에서 가정과 미디어 리터러시 수행목표를 학습요소로 반영하여 가정과 교육에서 융합적인 미디어 리터러시 교육을 수행하는데 도움이 되는 기초 자료로 활용되길 기대한다.
