  • Image registration is the process for finding the correct geometrical transformation that brings one image in precise spatial correspondence with another image. There are limitations on the visualization of simple overlay between two different modality images because two different modality images have different anatomical information, resolution, and viewpoint. In this paper, various image registration methods and their applications are introduced. With the recent advance of medical imaging device, image registration is used actively in diagnosis support, treatment planning, surgery guidance and monitoring the disease progression.

  • This paper proposes a photogrammetric rectification method based on Bayesian approach as a method that eliminates vertical parallax between stereo images to minimize visual fatigue of 3D contents. The image rectification consists of two phases; geometry estimation and epipolar transformation. For geometry estimation, coplanarity-based relative orientation algorithm was used in this paper. To ensure robustness for mismatch and localization error occurred by automation of tie point extraction, Bayesian approach was applied by introducing several prior constraints. As epipolar transformation perspective transformation was used based on condition of collinearity to minimize distortion of result images and modification for input images. Other algorithms were compared to evaluate performance. For geometry estimation, traditional relative orientation algorithm, 8-points algorithm and stereo calibration algorithm were employed. For epipolar transformation, Hartley algorithm and Bouguet algorithm were employed. The evaluation results showed that the proposed algorithm produced results with high accuracy, robustness about error sources and minimum image modification.

  • Nowadays, our societies use digital technology in new architectural shape and space design to transcend three dimension limit so the boundary of the imagination world and actuality world has been collapsed. Traditional spatial value has been collapsed. Also indetermination and temporary assumption in time, fluidness and dematerialized, simultaneity and reiteration in image are relative with this circumstances. In architectural shape, media characteristics which secede from traditional characteristics of place tectonic value have occurred. Therefore, indifference and interests in shape, inter-permeation in interior and exterior space, homogeneous equivalence spatial extension have occurred. The purpose in this study examines dematerialized in contemporary space design and light materials and also investigates general and architectural background. The results of this study are as follows. First, circumstances of human have changed from physically limited boundary to unfixed, nonphysical, lightness and vague things. Second, casting off volume in shape and also dissembling exclusive and constructive Third, interior and exterior space by transparency intimates media possibility of information screen. Fourth, seek information and organic response, ambivalent transformation, accumulation of image and new mutual understanding system.

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of a source of cultural contents by proposing extension possibility of cultural contents based on an original source. To this end, this article examined an aspect of Sherlock Holmes contents based on the novel "Sherlock Holmes" published in 1887. It has been produced as 217 different contents from 1899 to 2017 after publishing the novel Sherlock Holmes, and consequently, it has become the best material for the study of the expansion of contents. As a research method, we examined the concept of Transmedia with the change of media environment. Next, we examined the production method of "Sherlock Holmes" contents, analyzed the transformation factors according to each media, and presented the expansion of contents through "Sherlock Holmes" contents.

  • The edge preserving method is important for image storage and geometric transformation. In this paper, we propose a new edge preserving method using HOG-Guide filter for image segmentation. In our approach, we extract edge information using gradient histogram to set HOG guide line. Then, we use HOG guide line to smooth image. With two to four iterations of smoothing operations, we finally obtain desirable edge preserved image. Our experimental results showed good performances showing that our proposed method is better than other methods.

  • Fundamentals of electrodynamics of moving sources with constant velocity in an anisotripic plasma when the do magnetic field and the relative motion are oriented in arbitrary directions are presented. The well-known Minkowski's relations are generalized to accomodate anisotropic and dispersive media, and relativistic transformation formulae of constitutive parameters are derived and expanded into polynomials of the speed ratio \ulcornerto increase the utility of the formulae. The helmholtz wave equation of electromagnetic fields is generalized to the media charactrized by tensor parameters, and is solved in operator form. Also the solution of wave equation is expressed as a porcuct of the inverse of the wave operator matrix and the source function vector, and the inverse of the wave operator matrix is presented in an explicit form. The equations and formulae derived in this paper are all general, and can be reduced to known and proven results upon imposing the restriction called for by specific situations.

  • Recently, because of the rapid remarkable development of the digital media, contemporary society is continuously extending and changing over the limitation of the human recognition. But in the field of architectural form creation, a diagram used in the design process of the past is not enough to reflect a complication, contingent and multiple quality of these contemporary society. So, to reveal the rhizomorphous and non-hierarchial qualify of the contemporary digital network society, architecture became necessary to use the diagram with digital media which have various possibilities to present architect's abstract images that the diagram of the past couldn't do. Therefore, this study proposes that the process for creating architectural form with the digital diagram be a alternative to conquest the limits of contemporary architecture, so it present the complicate and contingent quality of contemporary society. Furthermore, it examines the quality and possibility of the diagram by understanding the creation and transformation of the digital diagram, and how to apply to the actual architecture process of the creating form.

  • Text has evolved along with the history of art as a means of communicating human intentions and emotions. In addition, text visualization artworks have been combined with the social form and contents of new media to produce social messages and related meanings. Recently, in text visualization artworks combined with digital media, communication forms with viewers are changing instantly and interactively, and viewers are actively participating in creating artworks by direct engagement. Interactive text visualization with additional viewer's interaction, generates external dynamics from text shapes and internal dynamics from embedded meanings of text. The purpose of this study is to propose a visual dynamics model to express the dynamics of text and to implement a text visualization system based on the model. It uses the deconstruction of the imaged text to create an interactive text visualization system that reacts to the gestures of the viewer in real time. Visual Transformation synchronized with the intentions of the viewer prevent the text from remaining in the interpretation of language symbols and extend the various meanings of the text. The visualized text in various forms shows visual dynamics that interpret the meaning according to the cultural background of the viewer.

  • The basic purpose of the current study is to compute the numerical analysis of heat source/sink for Darcy-Forchheimer three dimensional nanofluid flow with gyrotactic microorganism by rotatable disk via porous media under the slip conditions. Due to nanoparticles, random and thermophoretic motion phenomenon occurs. The governing mathematical model is handled numerically by shooting method. Additionally, the characteristics of velocities, mass, heat, motile microorganisms and associated parameters are thoroughly analyzed via plots and tables. Different physical parameters like Forchheimer number, slip parameters like velocity, porosity parameter, Prandtl number, Brownian number, thermophoresis parameter, heat sink/source parameter, bioconvected Rayleigh number, buoyancy parameteron dimensionless velocities, temperature. Approximate values of Sherwood microorganism are analyzed.

  • This study delves into the unique transformation of South Korea's elderly population, distinctively termed 'Nomad Silver'. Characterized by individuals aged 65 and above who actively seek novel experiences and embrace new activities, this demographic shift signifies a departure from traditional perceptions of the elderly. The Nomad Silver cohort, distinguished by their significant economic influence and evolving needs, necessitates a tailored approach to healthcare services. This paper underscores the importance of comprehending both the fundamental biological needs and the personalized desires of the Nomad Silver, aiming to enhance their satisfaction and overall well-being. Hospitals, in response, should innovate their services to resonate with the emotional, psychological, and social facets of this age group. Consequently, the paper proposes a four-pronged strategy for hospitals to adapt: comprehensive healthcare provision, patient-centric service development, senior health education coupled with community engagement, and establishing a generational bridge hub. Furthermore, the paper posits that catering to the Nomad Silver not only promises substantial financial gains for hospitals but also fosters new business opportunities across various sectors.
