Time PLOT과 이동평균 융합 시계열 데이터 예측 (Forecasting the Time-Series Data Converged on Time PLOT and Moving Average)

  • 시계열 데이터를 예측하는 것은 매우 어려운 작업이다. 비선형적인 특성을 갖는 신호에서 얻어지는 데이터들이 불확실성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 본 논문은 특정 시계열 데이터의 정확한 예측을 위하여 시계열 자료가 어떤 패턴에 따라 변화한다는 전제하에서 과거 자료들을 평균하여 미분으로써, 시계열 변화 패턴의 찾았다. 또한 미분 데이터의 반영 비율에 따라 특이성을 갖는 시계열데이터를 일반화하기 위하여 확률변수를 적용하였다. 순환변동과 계절변동을 소거하고, 불규칙 변동만을 추출하여 경향의 추세를 더한 예측값을 계산하게 된다. 이렇게 예측된 값은 이동평균과 단순이동평균에 의하여 가장 좋은 결과값을 갖는 알고리즘과 비교를 통하여 제안 알고리즘의 우수성을 입증하였다.

노마드적 공간에서 나타나는 유연성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Expression Characteristics of Flexibility in Nomadic Space)

  • Recently, in the fields of fashion, advertisement, film, literature, philosophy, etc., the word, 'Nomad', is being used frequently across the overall society. The contemporary society is actively incorporating "nomadic thinking" as a new social phenomenon across the boundaries of conventional fields. This is not an exception in the field of space design. This study, via the contemporary nomadic thinking, examined the relationship between space design's application possibility as a new trend and flexible space; then categorized the characteristics of flexible space into flexibility, temporariness, changeability, and correlation; and then analyzed expression characteristics of flexible space. As for unrestricted expression of scene, it was recognized that separation of scene and space leads space to meet the needs of surrounding environment and users; formation of changeable space enables uses of space from various perspectives; and combining external factors (energy, media technologies) with space leads space to self-evolution. Space is perceived as an living organism that is flexibly corresponding, via realistic movement and virtual movement, to the indefinite, diversified thinking of the contemporary society. Therefore, this study illuminates that nomadic thinking has significance as basic thinking to predict development and characteristics of design thinking through understanding the contemporary society with the basic thinking system that has been inherent without restrictions of being fixed to the present, past, and future.

  • Today, the convergence of fashion design and digital technology has become a popular method and accordingly been tried variously in the fashion area. This study aimed to analyze the character of the collaboration with fashion and technology, and the meaning of technology as emotional expression methods. Selected designer's collections, literature and other related studies were reviewed in order to analyze the generative structure of the meaning and the binary-opposition in the convergence of body, fashion design and technology. Literatures and selected designer's collections were reviewed and quantitatively studies were performed to classify the convergence of human bodies, fashion design and technology through Greimas Semiotics rectangle based on binary-opposition of meaning and isotophy analysis. The research presents three types of fashion technology methods: mechanical movement, light/digital media, and virtual image. The convergence of fashion and technology was classified as the direct convergence and the indirect convergence. The direct convergence was characterized by variability and has automatic, independent movement, but the indirect convergence was shown closed and to have contradistinctive images.

  • 학술지는 학술 정보의 핵심매체로서, 개방과 공유를 지향하는 대표적인 비영리성 저작물이다. 우리나라에서도 최근 들어 학술지의 오픈 액세스 운동에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 저작권 문제가 학술지 논문의 오픈 액세스와 아카이빙에 큰 걸림돌로 작용하고 있다. 국내 학술지 논문의 저작권 분쟁 사례를 검토하였고, 한국학술진흥재단의 등재 학술지 906종을 대상으로 학술지 논문의 저작권 귀속 현황을 총체적으로 실증 분석하였다. 그 분석 결과를 토대로 하여 국내 학술지 논문의 오픈 액세스와 아카이빙 활성화를 위한 저작권 대응방안을 구체적으로 제시하였다.

패션 드로잉을 위한 기초교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Basic Education Program of Fashion Drawing)

  • This study is to develop a fashion drawing education program which is based on the theory of 'Split-brain' by Roger W. Sperry and 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' by Betty Edwards. Students in Fashion Design start their training by developing a foundation in drawing and studing the tools, materials and methods of the Industry. Ideas are then developed on paper, later translated into three-dimensional shapes and finally into finished garments. Fashion drawing and design techniques train the hand and eye to all the nuances of fashion design and illustration. Fashion drawing course deals with the sketching of fashion models for the purpose of understanding the model figure, basic anatomy, movement and figure attitudes. Having mastered the basic skills, students take advanced drawing course which is developing awareness of design, needs, of fashion market' using various media for the purpose of developing a designer's sketch, with emphasis on the drawing and designs. Featured aspects of this study include the following; 1. Drawing the negative space; basic visual concepts 2. Contour drawing; constructs, visual measurement, movement 3. Model drawing; the classical method, proportion, symmetry. The primary aim of this study is to develop a sensitive, animated line based on observed form. It is important to let the students Imagine that they are actually touching the model, for in this way they can benefit from simulating the child's learning process. Instead of actually touching the model they are using their eyes as an extension of their sense of touch.

2014 베니스 비엔날레 건축전 한국관의 전시이미지 표현특성 - 충돌 몽타주와 간격을 중심으로 - (Expressive Characteristics of Exhibition Image in 'The Korean peninsula' at the Venice Biennale Architecture 2014 - Focused on the Montage of Collision and Interval -)

  • This study is for the characteristic of expression of exhibition presentation in 'The Korean peninsula' which is the Golden Lion Winner at the Venice Biennale in 2014. The Korean peninsula provides two opposite political and economic systems and adaptations of modernism through various multi media images. The curator, Minsuk Cho, presented cinema montage image of Collision for analyzing dynamic exhibition organization and provides the foundation of his theory from Bergson's image and duration to Deleuze's movement-image and time-image which is mentioned from Deleuze's book "cinema 1" and "cinema 2". Furthermore, the Korean peninsula has showed perception-image and affection-image from Eisenstein & Vertov's cinemathology and systemized exhibition presentation. The montage of Collision has maximized the movement from the variety and complexity in a collision and it made difference between information images which are space, time, emotion, intelligence, the tumult between subjectivity and objectivity, fragments from reorganizing itself, and distribution and art images. The limit of montage of Collision's dialectic is not only visual but also space from organic organization but the Korean peninsula overcomes its limit and shows leap of tactile perception and time-reflection from the montage of Collision's dialectic. Therefore, the exhibition of the Korean peninsula presents the conviction of adaptations of modernism.

The Reaction of the Malaysian Stock Market to the COVID-19 Pandemic

  • The present study was conducted to understand the turmoil effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the Malaysian stock market during the different periods of the Movement Control Order (MCO). The present study was based on the secondary data extracted from the DataStream and Bloomberg from 2nd January 2020 to 29th May 2020 to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the Malaysian stock market. The findings suggested that during the different periods of the Movement Control Order (MCO) from the 1st January to 29th May 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected the performance of KLCI index and all sectoral indices. The weakest performance indices were energy, property, and finance while the least affected indices were healthcare, technology, telecommunications, and media. This paper provides a review of the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on the Malaysian stock market throughout the different periods of MCO.

크리티컬 패션에 관한 고찰 (What is Critical Fashion?)

  • This study analyzes a new fashion phenomenon for critical fashion. Critical fashion is a message-centered fashion that delivers consciousness and sociocultural issues for contemporary society. The research method for this study combined literature reviews and case studies along with a research scope, that reviewed aspects of critical fashion through works, presentations, and images of collections, various media, and joint projects from the 2000s to the present day. This study indicates that critical fashion exhibits a conceptual pattern that metaphorically expresses the message of designers' perspectives on society and the fashion system. Critical fashion designers' socially critical messages began to emerge in avant-garde fashion influenced by avant-garde art movement that then developed into a conceptual fashion heavily influenced by conceptual art movement before it evolves into concepts of critical fashion. Critical fashion has been influenced by community-oriented critical art, which signifies that the characteristic of criticism of an art system is expressed through the language of fashion. In conclusion, critical fashion resists the idea of the integration of a cultural industry whose homogeneity is continuously collapsing the differences for the purpose of consumption and challenges to the established fashion system.

Movement Detection Using Keyframes in Video Surveillance System

  • In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework that identifies video frames in motion containing the movement of people and vehicles in traffic videos. The automatic selection of video frames in motion is an important topic in security and surveillance video because the number of videos to be monitored simultaneously is simply too large due to limited human resources. The conventional method to identify the areas in motion is to compute the differences over consecutive video frames, which has been costly because of its high computational complexity. In this paper, we reduced the overall complexity by examining only the keyframes (or I-frames). The basic assumption is that the time period between I-frames is rather shorter (e.g., 1/10 ~ 3 secs) than the usual length of objects in motion in video (i.e., pedestrian walking, automobile passing, etc.). The proposed method estimates the possibility of videos containing motion between I-frames by evaluating the difference of consecutive I-frames with the long-time statistics of the previously decoded I-frames of the same video. The experimental results showed that the proposed method showed more than 80% accuracy in short surveillance videos obtained from different locations while keeping the computational complexity as low as 20 % compared to the HM decoder.

한국의 민주화와 미디어 : 정부와 시장 주류 미디어의 관계 (The relationship between the major market-based media and the government in Korea)

  • This study attempts to examine the relationships between the major market-based media and the government after closing military regime era, 1961-1987. After the military regime was collapsed, while the mass media in Korea obtained independence and autonomy from government, they have been confronted with the terrible competition not so much comparatively as before. The watchdog role in the traditional liberalism, which is regarded as normative relationship between the media and the government would be transformed in accordance with the market condition and the maturity of democracy. Thus, the watchdog metaphor has been variously deviated in rower-centered society; lap dog, guard dog, attack dog. liberalists argue that the primary democratic role of the media is to art as a public watchdog overseeing the state. Social democrats, however, criticize them as simplistic conception which could be only applied to the government. They argue that the media should be seen as a source of redress against the abuse of all forms of power over others; the home, the economy, and the civil society. The lap dog view is that the media is overwhelmingly dependent on the established power structure contrary to the watchdog. While the guard dog perspective is a means to preserve the power structure alarming with playing 'conflict role', the attack do8 aims to the private interest of the media in intruding into the politics. The attack dog perspective by T. Patterson could be composed of the interpretive style of report, the game schema report over the policy schema in the election, and the negativism against politics and government. The market-dominant press has been likely to transform from lap-guard dog into attack-guard dog. In Roh Tae Woo government(1988-1992), while the press was a lessened lap-guard dog before three parties merger in 1990, after merger the press had been transformed as the reinforced lap-guard dog because this merger entailed joint, party-to-party negotiations, and the formation of the new party preceded by dissolution of the ruling blot. In the early stage of Kim Young Sam government(1993-1997), the press has kept in pace with the reform movement drive-forced by the government. However, the press withdrew the support of Kim's reform in reaching the level of threat to ruling bloc. The press coalesced only circumstantially with government and was interested in preserving some margin of independence. The failure of Kim's reform proved the political muscle of the press in post-autho-ritarianism. In the middle stage of Kim Dae Jung government (1998-) that resulted in the shift of power structure as once-opposition party leader, the stress has been a manifested attack-guard dog owing to the anti-cold war policy, the realignment policy of power, and the minority-base of Kim's government. The press has endeavored to hold political communication within limits relatively less threatening to the established order.
