Light is the essential and symbolical entity In architecture. But the meaning of light has been changed as time has passed, and today it has plural meaning and more sophisticated role. Since 1960's 'Light and Space Art' has accomplished many successful experiments through light and space as artistic media, and they have changed the understanding of light from the electrical source to the phenomenological energy and sensual medium. And also the role of space in their works takes the more human-oriented field constituted from the coherent relationship of internal parts including human being. Light could be 'an object' and 'material' under 'Light and Space Art' artists' persistent efforts. They revealed another realm of spatial experiences such as extension-the metaphysical space, heterogeneous relationship-the complex space, and dematerialization-the illusionary space. The secondary and inclusive effects by 'Light and Space Art' can be found In the phenomenological architecture, the post-modern architecture, and the immaterial tendency of contemporary architecture. However, the more close connections between 'Light and Space Art' and the specific architectures are still left as a portion aside for the further research.

The effects of purine catabolites in growth media on the Serratia marcescens purine nucleoside phos-phorylase activity were examined. The enzyme activity was decreased above 60% by guanosine(5 to 15mM). The enzyme activity was not affected at low concentration of inosine (0.1∼1mM). The en-zyme activity was decreased approximately by 40∼50% in the presence of high concentrations of aden-osine hypoxanthine and xanthine (5∼15mM) but was not affected at low concentration of adenosine hypoxanthine and xanthine (0.1∼0.5mM). However the enzyme activity was increase by 20% with low concentrations of uric acid(0.5mN). but was decreased by 80% with high concentrations of same purine catabolite (15mM). Also the enxzyme activity was increased by 20% with low concentrations of glyoxylate (0.5mM) final degradative product of uric acid but was decreased by 30∼50% with high con-centrations of glyoxylate (3∼15mM). The enzyme activity was decreased approximately by 20% by the simultaneous addition of inosine hypoxanthine and uricacid at 5mM each whereas it was increased by 22 and 33% by the combination of inosine and uric acid three purine catabolites at 0.5mM respectively These data suggest that S. marcescens purine nucleoside phosphorylase is positively regulated by a glyox-ylate concentration and then may play a regulatory role in a purine catabolism.

In today's digital world, smartphones and web-based applications have gained remarkable importance throughout the globe. These smart applications are playing a very significant role in maintaining a powerful business. As well as, they are helping a lot to expand these businesses via social networks. Social media networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are playing a prominent role to promote the companies. In the hospitality sector, most of the companies are running their hotel booking systems by utilizing mobile applications and a web-based infrastructure, but usability issues still exist. This study has been conducted specifically to tackle the usability issues of hotel booking systems and the best utilization of social networks to promote the business. TripAdvisor was selected as an authentic source for selecting those systems and two international hotels are selected for this study. The first step is to identify different hotel booking systems. In the second step, the user's satisfaction level was measured for the selected systems by performing the System Usability Scale (SUS, Quick & Dirty) approach. Additionally, by which source (social media or personal relations) they found these hotels. It is found that the SUS rating for both systems is below the acceptable level of usability. The Mean SUS for hotel 1 is found at 55.25 and 51.2 for hotel 2. The third step was to identify the user interface (UI) issues, and heuristic evaluation is performed for this. The experts identified the UI issues on the basis of their experience. The major issues were related to the visibility of system status, error prevention, flexibility and efficiency of use. Depending upon the identified issues, an interactive UI (prototype) for the selected web-based applications was proposed. This prototype is mainly based on the user's perspective. This prototype can be used for improving the UI of the selected systems which is based on the user's perspective. During the process of verifying the satisfaction level, it is revealed that the targeted audience is not able to use these systems efficiently and effectively. The reason behind this is the negligence of usability guidelines throughout the process of design and development of these hotel booking systems. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the usability of these systems should be evaluated and redesigned, based on expert opinions. It has also been observed that the reviews/ feedback of customers has spread a negative impact through social networks.

In the $21^{st}$ century, woman leaders are able to influence society through improved social status and economic power. From 1980-1990 there was a rapid global social development of feminism and improved media perceptions. The progression of this process is reflected by female characters in feminism films that included a new dress style. The power suit emerged in the U.S.A of the 1980s, as a dress code that showed the workplace uniform of a professional woman and spread to Korea as an influential style. This study defines the different and similar aspects in the development of women's position and the role involved in a structural background through a comparison of the socio-cultural meaning of the power suit expressed in American and Korean feminism films. For analysis, this study chose American films in the 1980s and Korean films in 1990s that fulfilled elements about feminism films. Subsequently in American feminism films, the power suit expressed an equal authority with men, strategic use of femininity according to task type, and a dissipation of symbolic effects like a rich look. In Korean feminism films, the power suit expressed an end of femininity like female transvestite, independent female images with the masculinization of appearance, and a mix of new and traditional styles.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the present fashion phenomenon by considering the types of Hiphop that shows the origination background and special feature. Popular music plays the most significant role in this 'age of culture' by its musical and visual methods through mass media. A fashion reflects and represents the culture of it's era. From the early 1990's a new fashion style called 'Hiphop' has become a universal hit among teenagers and even among those in 20s and 30s. As we can see from these points Hiphop fashion has the characteristics of being sporty borderless and genderless. In other words fashion represents individal's unique characters and their culture. This is why the study of fashion trends such as Hiphop is important; becanuse they can give us a series of fascinating insights into all sorts and conditions of men and women in our time : how they view theselves and how they choose to relate to other people whether of their own age or otherwise.

This paper investigates the integration strategies of school library into school's curriculum from a institutional point of view. For this purpose, this study compares and analyze the role and relationship of school library media program to school's curriculum in Korea, U.S., Japan. Basing on the comparative result, it proposed the school library relation element that must include in national level curriculum in Korea. To the element which it proposes it includes the compulsion assignment of school library assisted instruction. the time allocation of reading and information literacy instruction, the scope and sequence of information literacy instruction, the flexible schedule.

This study was to research the characteristics of the body shape of Korean woman farmers by the major crops. Four hundred ninety-five Korean woman farmers from 9 different area such as Kumi, Damyang, Iksan, Injae, Chungju, Choongju, Haman, Whasung, and Whasoon volunteered for this study. Their major crops were the rice, the pepper, the water melon, the strawberry, the wild rocambole, the sweet persimmon, the grapes, the mushroom, and the chrysanthemums. Twelve body angles were measured from archived the somatotype photographs of the front, the side, and the back. Questionnaires of SF-36 and the farmer's symptom, and the farm-work related movements were surveyed. The results were as follows; 1. Farmers had lower health levels in physical role limit, pain, vitality, and physical function than other occupational workers. 2. Most farmers acted the high-risk ergonomics motions when they worked in the farm. 3. There were significantly different on the both shoulder angles, the hip tangential line slope, the hip breadth angel, in frontal ankle-knee angle, the bending back angle, the dropping breast slope, the abdominis media angle, under the abdominis media angle, the glutea angle, under the glutea angle, and the sideward knee angle(p<.05). 4. Farmers cultivating the low plants such as the water melon, the strawberry, and the wild rocambole showed more banded vertebralis and side knee angles. Farmers cultivating the red pepper showed the dropping the left shoulder and O shape legs. Farmers cultivating the fruit trees such as the sweet persimmon and the grapes showed the less banded side knee angles than other farmer groups. 5. On comparing the same age, farmers showed the older's body shape in earlier and much more than the old living in the city.

In the digital era, news consumption is not confined in geological boundaries. Technological advances bring the instant dissemination of news into life and allow news audience to consume events that occur far away almost in real time. The transmission has blurred the boundary between traditional media and new media, and the one between physical and virtual world. That is, what if a journalist applies news framing to the news translation process? This paper aims to investigate the gap between the ST and the TT created when the source news texts undergo a translation process. To achieve this aim, the appraisal theory developed by White (2003) is employed to identify a difference between the ST and the TT. Furthermore, we have attempted to identify differences between soft news stories and hard news stories while the STs from both news stories are translated into the TTs. Two time-sensitive events, Hugh Grant's marriage and a U.S. and North Korea summit, were selected. The former (a soft news story) is extracted from the Telegraph and the latter (a hard news story) is from the Washington post. As a result, it was found that such strategies as attitude, engagement, and judgment were used when the source news texts from the hard news story are translated into the target news texts. Under the appraisal theory, the strategies involve evaluative language which refers to positive or negative language that judges the worth of entities. In general, it is said that a journalist frames the SS (especially from the hard news story) to convey his ideology to news consumers. Hypothetically, we assume that a similar framing process takes place in deriving the TT from the SS of the hard news story. Thus, we could conclude that the TT from the hard news story differs from the TT from the soft news story and that the difference can be explained within the framework of White's appraisal theory.

^x The enviroment defines the living conditions for people and has at the same time the possibility to create new environment. In Korea, where the rate of urbanization reached more than 50% in 1970′s the priority has been put on the economic development and administrative function. Under the circumstance, visual environmental field was dealt lightly and it resulted in undesirable environment. The techniques of Mordern Arts (Montage, Depeysment, Tromp L′oeil, P.O.P Art, etc.) helped Super Graphics appear in the urban areas. Environmental Art has been expended into the public space and people came to recognize the Arts as the "Street Art" or "Street as Gallery". Super Graphics has four types 1) Resident′s Super Graphics ; Minority groups came to maintain social equality and rights, in cooperation with each other. Such maintenance required general urbanites to form communities which gave birth to the community art, Mural Painting. 2) Environmental Super Graphics ; Beauty has come to be stressed in order to improve the quality of urban lives in the course of inescapable urban development. Instead of renewal of all established construction conservation oriented renewal was encouraged. 3) Super Graphics as Population Arts ; In the 1960′s artists repulsed the establishments in an efforts to open new phase independent from the expressional in the arts. They recognized the relationship between painting, society and the public in different angle and tried to describe all living space on canvas. 4) Super Graphics as Advertisement ; Super Graphics functions as efficient media to deliver images to the urbanites. Super Graphics as media plays the role for political propaganda and commercial advertisements according to their purposes. In Korea, especially, it is required to introduce the environmental Super Graphics. But it is desirable to introduce Super Graphics with Korean culture and sense of beauty. Designers themselves are also required to have responsibility to improve the quality of urban culture.

The attitude of observer in the painting of history is to exclude a prejudice and a subjective view of an artist and to introduce a photograph, which is a record of objectivity, in the process of painting. Its ultimate intent is to redescribe the fact of an event's image intactly without any prejudice and to represent the event as a proven evidence that it was. The representation of history based on fact had already been conceived in imagination of renowned artists such as Francisco Goya or $Th{\acute{e}}odore$ $G{\acute{e}}ricault$ even before cameras were invented. What they portrayed was their own truth of reality which is gained through their observation, not a history that have corresponded to political ideologies, for all reliance on a limited tool of representation, painting. Furthermore, history was necessary for 19th century impressionism artists to be represented under proven fact in a neutral perspective excluding all subjective prejudice, not based on the representation with imagination. Edouard Manet in particular reconstited an instant moment on the basis of real proof of photograph without personal prejudice or opinion as if today's photojournalism. The catastrophic series by Andy Warhol and the photographic painting by Gerhard Richter show another role of painting in the realm of art, each of them implying information distortion and abuse by current media and intentional deformation toward history as Manet's painting of history. Today, the representation of an historical event that we experience in the era of the Internet and social networks having a great deal of information already came to be the exclusive property of the cutting edge mass media. Nevertheless, the attitude of observer which is realistic and contemplative in the realm of art is the crucial point in terms of artists' act as ever.
