  • Many studies have been carried out to produce 3D features in the size range between $10{\mu}m\~10,000{\mu}m$, called Meso-scale. If these miniaturized systems have high relative accuracy and good volumetric utilization, it is possible to manufacture more complex and accurate shapes with various materials as well as there are advantages of reducing energy, space and resources. Due to imperfect components and misalignment in assembly, it is necessary to assess the accuracy of the miniaturized system itself to obtain high relative accuracy. Laser interferometers are widely used to measure geometric errors called as quasi-static errors. For miniaturized system, however, it is difficult to install the required accessories such as optics and the measuring range is limited because of the size of the system and also this method is very expensive. Moreover, it is impossible to measure each error component simultaneously. A new system to measure simultaneously multiple geometric errors is proposed using capacitance sensors. Each error was measured using capacitance sensors and a measurement algorithm was mathematically derived. The experiments show that the proposed measurement system can be used effectively to assess the accuracy of miniaturized system at a low cost.

  • Recently, with the development of service robots and with the new concept of ubiquitous world, the position estimation of mobile objects has been raised to an important problem. As pre-liminary research results, some of the localization schemes are introduced, which provide the relative location of the moving objects subjected to accumulated errors. To implement a real time localization system, a new absolute position estimation method for a mobile robot in indoor environment is proposed in this paper. Design and implementation of the localization system comes from the usage of active beacon systems (based upon RFID technology). The active beacon system is composed of an RFID receiver and an ultra-sonic transmitter: 1. The RFID receiver gets the synchronization signal from the mobile robot and 2. The ultra-sonic transmitter sends out the traveling signal to be used for measuring the distance. Position of a mobile robot in a three dimensional space can be calculated basically from the distance information from. Three beacons and the absolute position information of the beacons themselves. In some case, the mobile robot can get the ultrasonic signals from only one or two beacons, because of the obstacles located along the moving path. Therefore, in this paper, as one of our dedicated contribution, the position estimation scheme with less than three sensors has been developed. Also, the extended Kalman filter algorithm is applied for the improvement of position estimation accuracy of the mobile robot.

양에서 막형 산화기를 사용하여 심폐바이패스할 경우 백혈구격리 및 자유라디칼로 중재되는 폐손상 (Leukocyte Sequestration and Free Radical-Mediated Lung Injury in Ovine Cardiopulmonary bypass Using Membrane Oxygenator)

  • Background: Complement activation with transpulmonary leukocyte sequestration is considered a main mediator leading to ischemia-reperfusion lung(I-R) injury. We studied the role of leukocytes in the formation of I-R injury in ovine cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB) model with a membrane oxygenator. Material and Method: Five sheep were used. CPB circuitry consisted of a roller pump(American Optical Corp., Greenwich, CT, USA) and a membrane oxygenator(UNIVOX-IC, Bentley, Baxter Health Corp, Irvine, CA, USA). The CPB time was fixed at 120 min. Ten minutes after the start of CPB, total CPB was established. Thereafter a total CPB of 100 min was performed, followed by another 10 min of partial CPB. The CPB was discontinued and the animals were fully recovered. For measuring left and right atrial leukocyte counts, blood samples were taken before thoracotomy, 5 min and 109 in after the start of CPB, and 30 min and 120 min after weaning. C3a was measured before thoracotomy, 109 min after the start of CPB, and 30 min and 120 min after weaning. Plasma malondialdehyde(MDA) was checked before thoracotomy, 109 min after the start of CPB, and 30 min after weaning. One to two grams of lung tissue were taken for water content measurement before thoracotomy, 109 min after the start of CPB, and 30 min after weaning. Lung biopsy specimens were examined by light and electron microscopy. Result: Of 5 animals, 4 survived the experimental procedures. Of these, 3 animals survived on a long-term basis. No significant differences in transpulmonary gradients of leukocyte were found and no significant complement activation was expressed by C3a levels. MDA level did not show significant changes related to lung reperfusion despite an increase after the start of CPB. On both light and electron microscopic examinations, mild to moderate acute lung change was observed. Interstitial edema, leakage of erythrocytes into the alveolar space and endothelial cell swelling were the main findings. Water content of the lung showed a slight increase after the start of CPB, but there was no statistical significance. Conclusion: These findings indicate that ischemia-repersusion lung injury may not be from complement activation-leukocyte sequestration but from another source of oxygen free radicals related to CPB.

2007년 개정 슬기로운 생활 교육 과정의 내용 요소 및 탐구 활동 분석 (An Analysis of the Content Elements and Inquiry Activities in the Revised "Wise Life" Curriculum 2007)

  • The purpose of this study is to assist understanding the integrated subjects and to obtain implications required on the actual operation of curriculum by analyzing content elements and basic inquiry activities in the revised "wise lift" curriculum 2007. The result of this study is as follows. First, the formation of elements in contents of "wise life" deals with the passage of time based on changing seasons, myself and family in the 1st grade and the concept of space based on home and a village in the 2nd grade. Six main subjects and twelve activity subjects are presented per each grade. Second, number of activity subjects and content elements are reduced as compared with 7th curriculum so that the responsibility of operating classes based on activities is reduced and the purpose of rationalizing contents is somewhat fulfilled. Third, eliminating a relevant domains decisively when presenting the activity subjects assures the identification and purpose as the integrated subject focused on inquiry activities. Fourth, the result of analyzing the course-relevance on content elements shows that the allotment per each domain and course is less considered but the relevance of social studies is higher regardless of non-course characteristics as the integrated subject. Fifth, according to the component ratio of basic inquiry activities, 'Observing' and 'Debating' were presented as the most essential activities, and 'Measuring' and 'Making' were relatively low. By considering characteristics of course requiring balanced and various experiences of inquiry activities, additional discussions are required on appropriateness of the component ratio. Sixth, 'Observing' was increased and 'Debating' and 'Making' were decreased on the main activities in this revised curriculum as compared with 7th curriculum.

단프라시트를 적용한 간접식 증발냉각 장치의 냉각 성능 예측 (Prediction of Cooling Performance for Indirect Evaporative Cooling System Using Danpla Sheet)

  • 본 연구에서는 간접식 증발냉각 장치의 냉각 성능을 예측하고 다양한 공기 유량 및 물 분무 유량 조건을 만족하는 성능 상관식을 제안한다. 기존의 플라스틱 열교환기는 공조 공간의 크기에 따라 금형을 새로 제작해야 하기 때문에 높은 효율에도 불구하고 잘 사용하지 않았다. 한편 단프라시트는 일반적으로 두께가 얇아 열교환이 우수하고, 특히 제작이 매우 용이하다. 따라서 열교환기를 단프라시트로 제작할 경우 금형이 별도로 필요하지 않아 열교환기 제작 비용을 크게 절감할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 단프라시트로 다채널 열교환기를 제작하여 간접식 증발냉각 장치를 제작하였다. 성능 실험장치는 열교환기, 물 분사 노즐, 터보홴, 항온조, 순환 펌프, 온도 센서, 습도 센서, 차압식 유량계 및 자료획득 장치로 구성하였다. 증발냉각 시 공기 유량이 증가하면 유용도가 감소하였고, 수공비에 따라 유용도 최적점이 존재하였다. 등온 조건에서 냉각 성능을 예측하는 상관식과 실내 환기 온도와 외기 상태를 반영하는 성능 상관식을 제안하였다. 상관식들의 냉각 성능 오차는 4 % 이내였다.

영상감시 시스템에서 평행식 스테레오 카메라를 이용한 다중 이동물체의 거리측정 (Distance Measurement of the Multi Moving Objects using Parallel Stereo Camera in the Video Monitoring System)

  • 본 논문은 평행식 스테레오 영상감시 시스템을 이용하여 3차원 공간에서 다중 이동물체를 검출하고, 카메라에서 이동 물체까지의 거리를 측정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 스테레오 영상감시 시스템의 좌, 우측 영상을 입력을 받아 적응형 임계값과 화소귀납 알고리즘(PRA, pixel recursive algorithm)을 사용하여 다중 이동물체 영역을 추출하였다. 그리고 각각의 물체영역을 윈도우 마스크로 검출하고, 다중 이동물체 각각의 위치좌표와 스테레오 시차를 구하였다. 이 시차와 스테레오 비전 시스템의 특성 및 삼각 함수를 이용하여 다중 이동물체의 거리를 측정하였다. 실험결과 거리측정 오차도 7.28%이내에 존재하였으며, 따라서 제안한 알고리즘을 이용하여 시스템을 구현할 경우 스테레오 방범 시스템, 자율 이동로봇 및 스테레오 원격제어 시스템 등에 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

결빙구간의 교통사고 심각도 영향 요인 연구 (A Study on Factors that Influence Traffic Accident Severity in Road Surface Freezing)

  • A frozen road surface increases traffic accidents during the winter season. Hence, information on easily-frozen road sections and their specificities are required to prevent traffic accidents. Frozen road surfaces are determined by equipment measuring road surface temperatures. However, there are limitations in investigating the entire road network. Therefore, it is imperative to develop new methods that effectively determine road surface freezing risks. Meteorologically, road surfaces are frozen when the actual temperature cools down to the dew point temperature. Under this condition, there is likely to be frost if relative humidity reaches 100% and frozen road surfaces as the temperature gets lower. Meteorological characteristics give us an alternative to a direct measurement road surface temperature to estimate risks of road surface freezing. Based on the clues, the relationship between severity of traffic accidents and temperature changes is empirically investigated using Paju weather data. The results reveal that as the temperature gets lower and changes in current temperature are relatively small, the severity of traffic accidents become higher. In addition, the same is true when the difference between current temperature and the dew point temperature is relatively small, as it increases possibilities of road surface freezing. Future studies must investigate how current temperature and the dew point temperature affect road surface freezing and thereby establish a time-space scope to estimate possible road surface freezing sections using only weather and road material type data. This would provide invaluable information for predicting and preventing frozen road accidents based on weather patterns.

재건축에 따른 건축밀도 및 주거환경의 변화 연구 (A Study on the Change of Architecture Density and Residential Environment according to Reconstruction)

  • This study aims to investigate the change in building density and residential environment after the reconstruction of decrepit public rental housing complexes formed in accordance with the Land Readjustment Project during the 1970s-80s. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, in terms of change in residential environment after the reconstruction, floor plans that were limited to two to four types and to small apartments measuring $42.9m^2$(13py)-$56.1m^2$ (17py) became varied, presenting 5-6 types of floor plans and various sizes of apartments. In particular, the reconstructed apartments were mainly built in a size smaller than 85($m^2$) and in the 3LDK floor plan and staircase-style unit architectural structure in order to reflect the lifestyle of residents. Second, in terms of change in building density after the reconstruction, the building coverage ratio did not change a lot, but the floor area ratio showed great change depending on the complex, ranging from a minimum of 2.9 times (Singdong Complex) to a maximum of 5.4 times (Eoyangdong Complex). Such change is attributable to the reconstruction policy that aims to improve the residential environment for original residents, secure economic feasibility and efficiency, and reflect the lifestyle of residents while incorporating dividends assigned to the existing housing project members as well as the maximum floor area ratio allowed by the regulation. Additionally, in terms of change in the number of floors and building density after the reconstruction, the former 5-story apartments were changed to apartments with 16-28 stories. Accordingly, the number of households in each complex has also increased by 20%. Third, according to the characteristics of parking facilities in terms of the size and density of parking spaces, former apartment complexes had only aboveground parking lots, not underground parking area. The newly constructed apartment complexes have underground parking space, and the parking-housing ratio is 1.1-1.3 cars.

인장, 전단 및 혼합모드에서 디스크 시험편을 이용한 암석의 파괴인성 측정에 관한 연구 (Measurement of rock fracture toughness under mode I, II & mixed-mode conditions by using disc-typed specimens)

  • 최근들어 발파, 수압파쇄, 암반사면 등의 암반공학적 문제에 있어서 암석파괴역학이 널리 적용되고 있다. 그러나 암석 고유의 특성으로서 파괴역학에서 가장 중요한 변수인 암석의 파괴인성 측정에 관한 방법은 아직 확립되지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 파괴인성 측정법과 비교하여 많은 장점을 가지고 있는 CCNBD, SCB, CNSCB 및 BDT등과 같은 디스크 형태의 시험편을 사용하여 Mode I 파괴인성을 측정하였다. 또한 CCNBD 시험편에 STCA법을 적용하여 혼합모드 및 Mode II 파괴인성을 측정하였다. 각시험에서 시험편의 두께, 지름 및 노치길이 등과 같은 치수효과가 파괴인성에 끼치는 영향을 조사하였다. 혼합모드 시험결과로부터 여러 회귀곡선을 적용하여 파괴포락선을 구하였고 시험결과를 혼합모드에서의 세 가지 파괴기준식과 비교하였다. 각 파괴인성 시험 시에 균열전파가 시작되는 하중수준을 정확히 파악하고 균열의 변형거동을 조사하기 위해 미소파괴음 측정을 병행하였다.

주기전단 하중하의 암석 절리의 역학적 거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study for the Mechanical Behavior of Rock Joints under Cyclic Shear Loading)

  • 주기전단하중 하의 암석 절리에 대한 역학적 거동을 규명하기 위해 정밀 주기전단시험 장치를 설계·제작하였다. 실험실에서 황등화강암과 여산대리석 인공 절리 시료로 펑면절리와 거친 절리에 대해 일련의 주기전단시험을 실시하였다. 시료에 대한 레이저 변위계를 이용한 3차원 거칠기 측정을통해 절리의 거칠기 특성을규명하였다. 주기전단시험 결과를 통해 주기전단 과정의 단계별 거동 특성과하중과제하시의 거동 차이, 전단거동의 이방성 등을고찰하였다. 거친 절리면의 역학적 거동 특성은 주로 2차 거칠기의 영향과 암석 재료의 높은 강도에 영향을 받았다. 주기전단시 거친 절리에 대한 돌출부 손상이 지수적인 거칢각 손상 법칙을 따름을 실험적으로 검증하였으며, 수직응력파 거칠기 종류, 하중 단계에 따라 돌출부들의 손상 기구가 다름을 확인하였다.
