  • A source meter is a basic instrument to perform a measurement of DC characteristic of semiconductor devices. the source meter can be used as variable voltage source, variable current source, voltage meter, or current meter. The accuracy of the low current measurement can be improved with the compensation of leakage current and charge and discharge current. In the low current measurement, the RC time constant is extremely big, so the measurement speed is very low. In this thesis, the analysis of the behavior of the measurement current according to the RC time constant and output capacitance and the method to accelerate the measurement speed.

  • The ship radiated noise level fluctuates by the difference of interference and reverberation according to measurement methods and environmental conditions. These phenomena cause error of the source level estimation even in the same environment conditions. This paper describes a quantitative analysis and a reduction method for an error value to the source level estimation in spatial and temporal interference environment. The design criteria of the radiated noise measurement array composed of omni-directional hydrophones and the source level accuracy in the deep water range are given. The source level accuracy in the shallow water range is also derived based on the statistical model of the multiple reflection paths. The results are verified using the water tank experiment and the sea trial.

  • The objective of this study is the developement of real time automatic incline measurement using high accuracy digital datalogger for safety and maintence of railway construction sites. For the replacement of current 16 bit analog/digital converter, Digital datalogger system using 24 bit analog/digital converter is studied for the first time with in a country. Therefore data communication method and analyzing program of automatic measurement data is developed for the automatic high accuracy digital datalogge system. The results of this study will be using real time automatic incline measurement of railway structures.

  • This study aims to analyze stone's surface roughness measurement accuracy of a high resolution DCS 420 digital camera by digital close-range photogrammetric technique. For this purpose, the surface roughness measurement system was constructed by means of microsoft visual basic 6.0 in windows. As the analysis results of measurement accuracy of digital camera using this system, the roughness error of the normal distance between the best fitting reference surface obtained by least square method and sample points in the ideal plane or surface did not exceed $\pm$0.1 mm

Accuracy of blood pressure measurements taken using a blood pressure simulator by paramedic students (응급구조(학)과 학생의 혈압측정 모형을 활용한 혈압측정 정확도)

  • Purpose: We gathered information for the development of a blood pressure measurement education program by analyzing the accuracy of reading taken using a blood pressure simulator by Korean paramedic students. Methods: Data from 131 students were collected in November 12-20, 2013, and April 2-4, 2014. A 27-item questionnaire was administered, the accuracy of measurements confirmed using a blood pressure simulator (BT-CEAB), and the data analyzed (SPSS v 21.0). Results: The accuracy of systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings (${\leq}2mmHg$) was relatively low (27.5%). The mean blood pressure knowledge score was 67.61 points; significant differences were noted considering the sex (p = .001), hours of practice (p =.007), numbers of practice (p = .001), and reported self-confidence (p = .026). The blood pressure measurement accuracy group did not show a significant difference in its knowledge of blood pressure (p = .198). Conclusion: Most subjects needed several practice sessions to master the skill of measuring blood pressure. The feedback provided by individual assessment and the practice education program will serve as the basis for clinical and prehospital practice.

  • A new system for evaluating the voltage management errors of distribution equipment is presented in this paper. The main concept of the new system is to use real distribution live-line voltage to evaluate and correct the voltage measurement data from distribution equipment. This new approach is suitable for a new Distribution Management System (DMS) which has been developed for a distribution power system due to the connection of distributed generation growth. The data from distribution equipment that is installed at distribution lines must be accurate for the performance of the DMS. The proposed system is expected to provide a solution for voltage measurement accuracy assessment for the reliable and efficient operation of the DMS. An experimental study on actual distribution equipment verifies that this voltage measurement accuracy assessment system can assess and calibrate the voltage measurement data from distribution equipment installed at the distribution line.

  • In order to predict the performance and the usefulness of the narrow-band underwater acoustic measurement system at design stage, whose error variance is not clearly described, in this study a boundary equation to estimate the measurement accuracy is proposed based on the confidency as SNR variation. The boundary is presented as a function of SNR and the number of samples. In this paper, the measurement performance for narrow-band signal is simulated by the proposed boundary equation and the results are reviewed in the biased noise condition and separately in the background noise rejected condition.
