The study is on the cosmetic solubilizing power of organic plant surfactants. The blended high purity polyglyceryl-10 oleate and polyglyceryl-10 stearate mixtures were synthesized using organically certified raw materials to develop surfactants having excellent solubilizing power. The mixture is called "Solubil ORG-1300". The appearance of this material is a pale yellowish paste, with a specific odor. The specific gravity was 1.12 and it was high purity that acid value was 0.072±0.1. The HLB value of this natural surfactant was averaged = 15.1 and calculated through the Griffin equation. Mechanically it is explained how organic surfactant are available with fragrance and oils. The solubilizing test was determined by eye evaluation method through the dissolving performance test for the two oils and measured the transmittance at 890 nm using a UV spectrophotometer to measure the transparency. The results showed that the concentration of surfactant needed to make Bergamot oil available requires approximately more 2 times. It was also found that the concentration of surfactant needed to make the tocoperyl acetate available was about 8 times higher. Experiments on the solubility resulting from pH changes showed stabilized usable solubilizing power even in acidic areas of pH=3.5, neutral areas of pH=7.2, and alkaline areas of pH=1.5. Experiments on the solubility according to pH variation showed good solubility stabilized in acidic areas of pH=3.5, neutral areas of pH=7.2, and alkaline areas of pH=11.5. As an application of cosmetics, the company successfully developed a prescription for moisturizing activity based on these results, it is expected that a wide range of applications will be available for skin care, baby lotion, sensitivity or atopic skin cosmetics.
School foodservice employees are involved with every aspect of ensuring that high quality meals are prepared and they influence student satisfaction. The objective of this study was to identify whether job satisfaction of cooks is affected by their relationships with management. Survey forms that were developed for foodservice dietitians and employees were interviewed. Questionnaires to measure job satisfaction were distributed to 30 schools in the Gyeonggi province and completed by 30 dietitians and 323 cooks. Foodservice cooks' job satisfaction was evaluated by measuring attitudes towards aspects of their job using the modified Smith method(1969). All items in the scales were coded by 4 Likert scale(1: nerver satisfied, 4: very satisfied), then grouped by using factor analyses. Statistical methods used in this study were a $x^2$-test, t-test with SPSS software(version 12.0). The study results were as follows; 1) The demographic data showed that 65.3% of respondents were in their 40s, 96% were married, 68.8% were high school graduates, and 93.5% were contracted employees. Regarding overall experience in their current workplace, 27.9% had been in their position over 5 years and 25.7% said less than 2 years. 2) Most of the school lunches was served in the classroom(73.3%). The cook working was rotated among the employees(90%). Most employees did not use a day's leave of absence per month because they were averse to burdening their coworkers. 3) There were no significant differences in job satisfaction between the cooks' self-evaluation scores(2.92) and those of the dietitians(2.92). Among the factors influencing job satisfaction, dietitians(2.10) perceived that cooks(1.99) were more satisfied with their salaries than was actually the case. The cooks(3.19) rated their level of work satisfaction higher than the dietitians(3.03) perceived it to be. Employees rated their relationship satisfaction as 3.50, but dietitians on the other hand rated it 3.37. Most of the cook respondents want a higher salary and a some kind of employment guarantee. This study provides foodservice managers information useful for design positions that will increase productivity. Future study is needed to determine the factors that will improve job satisfaction and satisfy the employees' needs, which in turn will improve school food service quality.
The current seismic design code prescribes that a structural wall should be designed as a special shear wall when the building height is more than 60 m and its seismic design category is classified as D. However, the use of a special shear wall has a negative effect on constructability and economic efficiency. In the present study, the seismic performance of a special shear wall and a special shear wall with relaxed reinforcement detail was evaluated through a cyclic reversal loading test. The specimens were constructed to measure the results of the experimental variable regarding the reinforcement details of the special boundary element. Next, the seismic performances of a special shear wall structural system and that of a special shear wall structural system with relaxed reinforcement detail was evaluated by methods proposed in the FEMA P695. The cyclic reversal loading test results of this study showed that the performance of the shear wall with relaxed reinforcement detail was almost similar to the performance of a special shear wall and has the performance which requested from standard. The results of the seismic evaluation showed that all special shear walls with relaxed reinforcement detail are satisfied with the design code and seismic performance.
Economists have long been involved in various studies, theoretical and empirical, on the economic gains from innovative activities and as their outcome, intellectual properties. In Korea, however, research in this field has experienced rather slow progress, partly due to the lack of data availability and the awareness of its importance. This study attempts to measure the economic impact of patents on market value of firms from a microeconomic point of view. Analyses are performed to examine the ex-ante market valuation of patent acquisition activities by investigating the effect of patent acquisitions on daily stock prices as well as on annual market values. The study on the effect of a disclosure of granted patents on daily stock prices reveals that the economic value of a firm's patent acquisition is fairly high. The study on listed firms also reveals that a firm's patent registration stock has a positive and statistically significant effect on its year-end market value. Therefore, it can be concluded that the analysis performed in this study supports the validity of Korea's current patent system. The result, however, does not guarantee the optimality of current system. Studies on various aspects of intellectual property should follow to shape the system into a socially optimal one.

Aortic AIx(augmentation index) has been used to measure aortic stiffness quantitatively and even to evaluate ventricular load. However, in order to calculate aortic AIx catheters should be inserted to the subjects' artery, which hampers its clinical usage. To overcome such limitation, aortic AIx has been indirectly calculated by estimating aortic pressure wave from the peripheral arterial pulse by applying transfer functions. In this study, central aortic pressure waves using Millar catheter and radial artery pulse waves using tonometry pressure sensor were measured to establish transfer functions for an estimation of central aortic pressure waves from radial artery pulse waves. Also, an algorithm which detects augmentation point for the calculation of AIx were developed. Developed algorithm for the detection of augmentation point gradually increases the differential order to detect inflection point rather than detects the distinctive point that appears after a specific time. Transfer functions were established using 10th order ARX model and were verified for the stability of the transfer function through residual analysis. Evaluation of an algorithm for the detection of augmentation point were performed by comparing the augmentation points obtained from developed algorithm with the known augmentation points synthesized in various conditions. In addition, developed algorithm for the AIx is proved to provide more accurate results than the ones developed by previous studies. The significance of the study was in two folds. Firstly, the results could provide the basis for the measurement of aortic stiffness using easily-measurable radial artery pulse waves, and secondly, extension of the study may enable the early diagnosis of various vascular diseases.
This paper shows alternative route search and preference route search for the traffic route search, and proposes the use of the fuzzy non-additive controller by the application of AHP(analytic hierarchy process). It is different from classical route search and notices thinking method of human. Appraisal element, weight of route is extracted from basic of the opinion gathering for the driving expert and example of route model was used for the finding of practice utility. Model evaluation was performed attribute membership function making of estimate element, estimate value setting, weight define by the AHP, non additive presentation of weight according to $\lambda$-fuzzy measure and Choquet fuzzy integral. Finally, alternative route search was possible to real time traffic route search for the well variable traffic environment, and preference route search showed reflection of traffic route search disposition for the driver individual. This paper has five important meaning. (1)The approach is similar to the driver's route selection decision process. (2)The approach is able to control of route appraisal criteria for the multiple attribute. (3)The approach makes subjective judgement objective by a non additive. (4)The approach shows dynamic route search for the alternative route search. (5)The approach is able to consider characteristics of individual drivers attributed for the preference route search.

A seam-line determination algorithm is proposed to determine image border-line in mosaicing using the transformation of gray value differences and dynamic programming. Since visually good border-line is the one along which pixel differences are as small as possible, it can be determined in association with an optimal path finding algorithm. A well-known effective optimal path finding algorithm is the Dynamic Programming (DP). Direct application of the dynamic programming to the seam-line determination causes the distance effect, in which seam-line is affected by its length as well as the gray value difference. In this paper, an adaptive cost transform algorithm with which the distance effect is suppressed is proposed in order to utilize the dynamic programming on the transformed pixel difference space. Also, a figure of merit which is the summation of fixed number of the biggest pixel difference on the seam-line (SFBPD) is suggested as an evaluation measure of seamlines. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested in both quantitively and visually on various kinds of images.

As Korea is rapidly becoming an IT powerhouse in the short term, various side effects such as cyber violence, personal information leakage and cyber terrorism are emerging as new social problems. Especially, the seriousness of leakage of personal information, which is the basis of safe cyber life, has been highlighted all over the world. In this regard, it is necessary to estimate the amount of the damage cost due to the leakage of personal information. In this study, we propose four evaluation methods to calculate the cost of damages due to personal information leakage according to average real transactions value, personally recognized value, compensation amount basis, and comparison to similar countries. We analyzed data from 2007 to 2016 to collect personal information leakage cases for 10 years and estimated the cost of damages. The number of cases used in the estimation is 65, and the total number of personal information leakage is about 430 million. The estimated cost of personal information leakage in 2016 was estimated to be at least KRW 7.4 billion, up to KRW 220 billion, and the 10 year average was estimated at from KRW 10.7 billion to KRW 307 billion per year. Also, we could find out the singularity that the estimated damage due to personal information leakage increases every three years. In the future, this study will be able to provide an index that can measure the damage cost caused by the leakage of personal information more accurately, and it can be used as an index of measures to reduce the damage cost due to personal information leakage.
Sleep is an essential factor for living a healthy life, but most modern people complain of poor sleep. For these people, as the need for a means to simply evaluate and manage the quality of sleep increases, devices that can check the sleep state at home without monitoring by an examiner are being developed. The smart sleep mask, which is the subject of this usability test, provides bio-signal monitoring while sleeping so that you can conveniently measure and manage your sleep state for yourself. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability and safety of the smart sleep mask, to find and prevent potential factors related to errors in use that may occur, and to develop the comfort and safety of this product. As a result of the formative evaluation of the sleep mask prototype, it was reported that it was difficult to turn on the power and check the results, and that the sleep mask was not comfortable to wear. Different opinions were presented on the size and weight of the sleeping mask by people in different age groups.

Forty species of lactic acid bacteria isolated from gajami sikhae were identified as Lactobacillus plantarum, Leuconostoc mesenteroides, Lactobacillus brevis, and Weissella paramesenteroides. 10 of the 40 strains were selected and used for the test. In this study, experiments such as those using acid and artificial gastric juice resistance, bile acid resistance, autoaggregation, coaggregation, and cell surface hydrophobicity were conducted to utilize lactic acid bacteria separated from gajami sikhae as probiotics. The separated lactic acid strains showed high survival rates through displaying resistance to acidic and artificial gastric juices; L. plantarum GS11 showed the best resistance. Also, as a result of a measurement of bile acid resistance, all lactic acid bacteria stocks showed survival of more than 100% with a probiotic number of 108 to 109 log CFU/ml. After evaluating cohesion to indirectly measure cell surface adhesion, autoaggregation ability was shown to be more than 46%. Measurement of xylene adhesion for cell surface hydrophobicity evaluation revealed better cell adhesion than B. subtilis, which has 32.2% hydrophobicity in isolated lactic acid strains. Antibacterial force measurement found antibacterial activity in lactic acid bacteria, excluding L. plantarum GS12 and L. plantarum GS13. Therefore, it was judged that lactic acid bacteria separated from gajami sikhae could be used as probiotics with various probiotic properties.
