The present study attempted to offer more insights into the foreign consumers' consumption decision structure of Korean restaurants located in foreign countries. A survey was designed based on the means-end chain theory, using the laddering interview technique. The qualitative data obtained from 10 Americans, 10 Japanese, and 10 Chinese were content analyzed and resulted in categories such as 'new experience', 'interest in Korea', 'recommendation', 'good food', 'easy to access', 'service', 'dining environment', and 'price' as perceived attributes of choice. The hierarchical value maps linking attributes, psychological consequences, and terminal values were presented. The most frequent consequences were 'experience new culture', 'be exposed to new experience', and 'learn more about Korea' which were related to 'happiness', 'pleasure', 'good relationship', 'desire fulfillment', and 'self-satisfaction' as personal values. Laddering interviews, which required laborious analysis, provided important information on the relationship between perceived attributes and the reasons for choosing Korean restaurants.

Current web accessibility checks and automatic assessments have been pointed out that the assessment items and scores are evaluated from the developer's point of view rather than from the user's one. In addition, although most of the grades of an automatic assessment on the public web sites are excellent because they are built in accordance with the web accessibility development guidelines, not a few web sites shows relatively low grades in evaluating their usability test made by those users. Taking into account the inadequacy of these web accessibility assessments, this study has identified the differences between the grades of usability evaluations and automatic evaluations for people with low vision and analyzed the major factors affecting web accessibility usability evaluations using Repertory Grid Techniques. Also, the Hard Laddering method of the Means-End Chain theory was adopted to visualize the relationship between Attributes-Conferences-Value and a hierarchical value system analysis based on FGI(Focused Group Interview) to people with the low vision. This study proposed the measures to improve the current web accessibility automatic assessment allocation, expert evaluation criteria, and user task assessment. In particular, it is a web accessibility user evaluation model that can consider the web accessibility quality certification criteria and user review assessment by directly analyzing the user cognitive structure and value system. This study is expected to be useful as a research to enhance the quality of web accessibility assessment.

지금까지 HCI분야의 많은 연구들은 사용성 (Usability)을 중요한 연구 주제로 인식하여 왔다. 그러나 연구의 범위를 사용성에 한정하는 것은 HCI 분야의 잠재성을 좁히고, 사용자 경험 (User Experience)의 개념도 좁은 범위로 한정시키게 된다. 따라서 향후 HCI 분야의 연구는 정보 기술의 사용성 측면의 뿐만 아니라, 정보 기술의 사용을 통한 다양한 사용자 경험을 구조적인 관점에서 살펴보아야 한다. 즉 사용성 중심의 연구가 아닌, 보다 전반적이고 구조적인 측면에서 사용자 경험을 살펴보는 새로운 방향의 HCI 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 이와 같이 사용자 경험을 보다 전반적이고 구조적인 측정에서 이해하기 위해서는 사용자가 특정 정보 기술의 사용을 통해 추구하는 가치 (Value)와 그와 같은 가치를 실현 시킬 수 있는 정보 기술의 속성 (Attribute) 및 결과 (Consequence), 그리고 속성, 결과, 가치 간 연관 관계를 구조적인 측면에서 살펴보아야 한다. 본 연구는 사용자 가치에 대한 대표적인 이론인 Means-End Chain Theory와 속성, 결과, 가치 간 연관 관계를 파악하기 위한 정성적 연구 방법론인 Laddering 기법을 기반으로 사용자 경험 구조 파악 및 가치 중심적 HCI (Value-Centered HCI)를 위한 새로운 연구 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 새롭게 제안된 방법론을 통해 모바일 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사용자 경험 구조를 도출하고, 모바일 인터넷 상황에서 도출된 결과 및 본 연구에서 새롭게 제안된 방법론의 이론적이고 실용적인 의의를 제시하고자 한다.

As the competition among hospitals become intensified, hospital management is required to carry out more effective marketing and positioning of the hospital. Successful positioning of a hospital requires the knowledge about how the concrete attributes inherent in the medical service associated with the customer values that customers seek eventually in the medical service. Thus, it is required for hospital management to understand which hospital attributes should be emphasized in order to improve the customer values. The hierarchical structure of service attributes can provide valuable information about effective positioning and advertising. To obtain such knowledge, we employed the order analysis technique as an objective means-end chain method. Order analysis is useful for identifying the causal structure among attributes. Thus, we can examine the underlying causal relationship and eventually the vertical structure of hospital selection attributes. For this study, we conducted a survey to obtain 370 responses for the analysis. The result suggests that hospital management had better increase the scale of hospital, improve the services of health care providers, and modernize the hospital facilities and equipments so as to enhance customer values and eventually to lead them to recommend the hospital to others. Our findings would provide the valuable information for hospital management to develop the more effective hospital positioning and marketing strategies.

This two-part study explores the changes in the types of perceived value and consumption channels for vintage clothing and the relationship between the two variables. In Study 1, we used text mining with the keyword "fashion+vintage." Emotional value was the most frequently mentioned, and environmental value increased the most. We also revealed an increasing trend in online channels for vintage clothing consumption. In Study 2, we analyzed 30 interviews with consumers who had purchased vintage clothing through online channels. We identified 7 attributes and 20 goals for vintage consumption online and pinpointed three strong connections. First, consumers reported high levels of service satisfaction due to the usefulness of algorithms. Second, the authenticity and heritage information available through online and mobile channels were associated with consumers' perceptions of value related to financial benefits. Third, consumers sought to find rare products through online channels, leading to a strong influence on their sense of achievement. Overall, this study proposed ways to increase the value of vintage clothing perceived by consumers through consumption online.

본 연구는 '수단-목적 사슬(Means-End Chain: MEC) 이론'을 토대로 경주 도심 고분 인근에 거주하는 지역주민과 관광객에 대한 경주 도심 고분의 방문에 관련한 심층적인 동기 및 가치를 분석하고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 소프트 래더링(soft laddering)과 하드 래더링(hard laddering) 방법론을 적용하였다. 이를 통하여 경주 도심 방문에 관련된 항목요인(속성, 혜택, 가치)과 인지구조(속성, 혜택, 가치의 연결 관계)를 파악하여 '가치단계도(Hierarchical Value Map)'의 상호 연관 관계모형을 구축함으로써 지역주민과 관광객의 가치체계를 비교하였다. 본 설문조사는 하드 래더링의 연계방식기법(Association Pattern Technique: APT)의 구조화된 설문지를 활용하여 지역주민과 관광객의 속성, 혜택, 가치에 기반한 수단(mean)-목적(end) 가치사슬 구조를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 경주 도심 고분을 방문하는 지역주민은 '휴식(휴양) 및 산책'을 수단으로 고려하고 있었으며, 이를 통해 결과적으로 그들은 '스트레스 해소'를 경험함과 최종적 목적 상태로 '역사 문화 보호 의식 배양'에 가치를 두고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 관광객 또한 '휴식(휴양) 및 산책'을 수단으로 고려하고 있었으며, 이를 통해 결과적으로 그들은 '스트레스 해소'를 경험함과 최종적 목적 상태로 '자기성찰 및 치유'에 가치를 두고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 중심으로 향후 "경주 도심 고분공원" 조성에 있어 우리는 고분의 문화유산 가치 보존 및 관리계획과 더불어 고분 지역주민과 관광객의 행동에 영향을 미치는 방문 가치에 관한 연구를 통해 보다 합리적인 고분 역사 문화 활용계획 방안 수립에 기초적인 자료로 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

본 연구는 컷오프 수준에 따라 활성화 셀(cell) 수와 래더(ladder) 수 등의 통계량의 변화를 살펴보고, 컷오프 수준의 변화에 따른 가치 맵이 어떻게 변화하는지를 제시하며, 주어진 조건(100명의 응답자에게 최대 5개의 중요한 속성을 선택하도록 하여 가치사슬을 만든 후 이를 이용하여 가치 맵을 그렸을 경우)하에서 정보손실을 최소화하면서 설명력이 있는 최적의 컷오프 수준 결정과 이에 따른 가치 맵을 표현하고자 한다.

본 연구는 프랜차이즈 분식점 이용객들을 대상으로 프랜차이즈 분식점 방문 시 인지될 수 있는 세 가지 서비스 품질 요인들을 측정하고, 이러한 요인들이 고객들이 지각한 혜택과 가치, 그리고 행동의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하고자 수행되었다. 연구가설 검증을 위하여 총 450부의 설문지를 최근 3개월 이내에 프랜차이즈 분식점 이용 방문객들을 대상으로 배포하여, 이 중 불성실한 응답 39부를 제외한 총 411부의 설문지가 실증분석에 사용되었다. SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 20.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 요인분석 및 신뢰도검증 및 요인들 간의 인과관계를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 서비스 품질의 세 가지 요인 모두가 지각된 혜택에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으며, 세 요인 중 결과품질이 지각된 혜택에 가장 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 지각된 혜택은 가치에 중요한 선행변수임이 검증되었고, 긍정적으로 형성된 가치는 미래행동의도에 직접적 영향을 미치는 것을 입증하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 기존에 여러 선행연구에서 검증되었던 수단-목적 사슬이론을 프랜차이즈 분식점을 대상으로 한 연구분야에 적용시켰다는 것에 의의를 가진다. 본 연구의 결과는 최근 외식산업분야에서 중요한 축으로 자리 잡고 있는 분식점 산업의 활성화와 경쟁우위 전략을 구축을 하는데 현실적이고 논리적인 제언을 해줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구에서는 노인이 공공도서관을 이용하는 이유와 가치체계를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울소재 15개 공공도서관에서 만 60세 이상 이용자를 대상으로 2018년 10월 29일~11월 10일까지 설문조사를 실시하여 수집한 306부의 응답 결과를 분석하였다. 가치체계는 수단-목적 사슬 이론(Means-end Chain Theory, MEC)을 토대로 공공도서관 이용의 속성, 혜택, 가치 연결 관계를 가치계층도로 도식화하였고, 만 65세를 기준으로 두 집단으로 나누어 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 가장 높은 빈도로 나타난 가치체계는 책을 읽거나 빌려본다(속성) ${\rightarrow}$ 새로운 지식을 얻을 수 있다(혜택) ${\rightarrow}$ 나 자신에게 만족한다(가치)였다. 공공도서관을 이용함으로써 도달하는 가치에 대해서는 두 집단 공통적으로 스스로에 대한 만족, 성취감, 재미와 즐거움, 삶에 활력이 생기는 것을 느낀다고 답하였는데, 만 65세 이상 노인은 공공도서관 이용이 정신적/신체적 건강에 도움이 된다고도 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과, 공공도서관을 이용하는 노인은 공공도서관의 전통적 기능과 관련된 부분을 주요 속성으로 느끼고 있었으며 공공도서관은 노인이 활기찬 노년을 보내는 데 적절한 기여를 할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A decimation chain for multi-standard reconfigurable radios is presented for 900-MHz and 1,900-MHz dual-band cellular standards with a data interpolator based on the Lagrange method for adjusting the variable data rate to a fixed data rate appropriate for each standard. The two proposed configurations are analyzed and compared to provide insight into aliasing and the signal bandwidth by means of a newly introduced measure called interpolation error. The average interpolation error is reduced as the ratio of the sampling frequency to the signal BW is increased. The decimation chain and the multi-rate analog-to-digital converter are simulated to compute the interpolation error and the output signal-to-noise ratio. Further, a method to operate the above-mentioned chain under a compressed mode of operation is proposed in order to guarantee continuous packet connectivity for inter-radio-access technologies. The presented decimation chain can be applied to LTE, WCDMA, GSM multi-mode multi-band digital front-end which will ultimately lead to the software-defined radio.
