  • This paper developed the model for electro hydraulic force control system by identification method via ARMAX model. Implementation of Identification is performed on Pin-On-Disk type tribotester. The wear mechanism is an important mechanic property to select a material´s life and a optimum work condition. Pin-on-disk type tribotester is popular wear analysis experimental equipment and its mechanism is that adding a force on a rotating disk to simplify two surface contact´s wear experimental condition. Material´s rotating velocity and eccentricity rotation makes disturbance and it affects adding constant force. To get a high performance of force adding part, DDV(Direct Drive Valve) which has pressure control loop is used.   • This paper introduces a supplementary module reducing tile standby-power of Power Line Communication(PLC) modem, one of the network equipments that take up much of tile stand-by power. This supplementary module consists of three parts, such as a compare part, a control part, and a switch part. This supplementary module controls the power going from the power supply element into PLC modem, which brings about the effect of standby-power reduction. It is assured that over 30% standby-power reduction is estimated when we applied this module to a low-speedy PLC control modem.

  • This paper suggests the new technology to control metal flow in orther to change of the cold forging from conventional deep drawing forming. This technology can be summarized the complex forming, which consists of bulk forming and sheet forming, and multi-action forging, which be performed double action press. The proposed technology is applied to hub clutch model which is part of auto-transmission for automobile. The purpose of this study is to investigate the material flow behavior of hub clutch through control the relative velocity ratio and the stroke of mandrel and punch using the flow forming technique. First of all, the finite element simulations are applied to analyse optimal process conditions to prevent flow defect(necking defect etc.) from non-uniform metal flow, then the results are compared with the plasticine model material experiments. The punch load for real material is predict from similarity law. Finally, the model material experiment results are in good agreement with the FE simulation ones.

  • In modern times, due to the centralized urban structure, the interval between buildings is narrow and the increase of the heat island phenomenon due to the accumulation of the structure is becoming a social problem. In order to solve these problems, various materials for reducing the surface temperature of buildings are under study. Particularly, in the case of a wall part which is a part directly affected by the outside air of the building, it is a main structural part for determining the room temperature. The purpose of this study was to develop a material that can improve the thermal environment performance of the building by evaluating the temperature control performance of the exterior finishing material using the heat reflecting material as a method for controlling the temperature of the outer wall finishing material.

The Estimation of N, P mass Balance in Masan Bay using a Material Cycle Model (물질순환 모델을 이용한 마산만의 질소, 인 수지 산정)

  • It is noted that the red tides and the oxygen-deficient water mass are extensively developed in Masan Bay during summer. The nutrients mass balance was calculated in Masan Bay, using the three-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic model and the material cycle model. The material cycle model was calibrated with the data obtained on the field of the study area in June 1993. The nutrients mass balance calculated by the combination of the residual currents and material cycle model results showed nutrients of surface and middle levels to be transported from the inner part to the outer part of Masan Bay, and nutrients of bottom level to be transported from outer part to inner part of Masan Bay. The uptake rate of DIN in the box A1(surface level of inner part) was found to be 337. 5mg/$m^3$ㆍday, the largest value in all 9 boxes and that of DIP was found to be 18.6mg/$m^3$ㆍday in box A1, and the regeneration rate of DIN was found to be 78.2mg/$m^3$ㆍday in the box A3(bottom level of inner part), and that of DIP was found to be 18.6mg/$m^3$ㆍday in box A1. The regenerations of DIN and DIP in the water column of the entire Bay were found to be 7.66ton/day and 760kg/day, respectively. And the releases of DIN and DIP from the sediments of the entire Bay were found to be 2.86ton/day and 634kg/day, respectively. The regeneration rate was 2.5 times as high as the release rate in DIN, and 1.2 times in DIP. The results of mass balance calculation showed not only the nutrients released from the sediments but the nutrients regenerated in water column to be important in the control and management of water quality in Masan Bay.

  • Electric plating is used in various industry field. Specially, pulse plating is able to deposit material at high current density compared to conventional DC plating. For example, pulse plating can get more fine grain, can improve adhesion and metal distribution and current efficiency, can reduce internal stress and crack. Therefore, we developed bidirection pulse power supply(BPPS) which has high speed pulse current and high current density and improve deposition quality and increase plating speed in this paper. BPPS(Bidirection pulse power supply) needs high speed rising time, falling time and output current accuracy. BPPS consists of rectifier part, chopper part, invertor part, and control part. Rectifier part changes outprt current direction.

  • Most of Static electricity forms part of our daily experience broadly. Most people have noticed from time to time electric shocks when closing of their car or after walking across a carpet, operating shredder in winter and touching a metal handle.   • Despite significant advances in multimedia transferring technologies in various fields of robotics, it is sometimes quite difficult for the operator to fully understand the context of 3D remote environments from 2D image feedback. Particularly, in the remote control of mobile robots, the recognition of the object associated with the task is very important, because the operator has to control the robot safely in various situations not through trial and error. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the operator with 3D volumetric models of the object and object-related information as well such as locations, shape, size, material properties, and so on. Thus, in this paper, we propose a vision-based human interface system that provides an interactive, information-rich map through network-based information brokering. The system consists of an object recognition part, a 3D map building part, a networked knowledge base part, and a control part of the mobile robot.

  • The testing philosophy and control schemes are investigated and applied to construct the Automatic Microwave Leakage Inspection System (AMLIS) . AMLIS is consists of three major parts such as Material Handling Mechanism, Fine Positioning Mechanism and Scanning Mechanism. The material Handling unit is designed to perform loading and unloading microwave oven onto the testing point by pneumatic cylinder and vacuum pump. The Fine positioning part includes X-Y-.THETA. table and distance sensing equipment. The scanning part is composed of five SCARA robots, which traverse X-Y-Z catesian coordinates respectively. The leakage testing probes are placed at the end of this each robot then the path and speed are both controlled via microprocessors. A performance test of this system combined with electric parts and software is done and the basic major function of system are accomplished.

  • Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT) is used in wind power generation systems to maximize wind power turbin output power, irrespective of wind speed conditions and of the load electrical characteristics. In this paper we do the equivalent modeling the mechanical energy of wind power turbine according to wind speed into the synchronous generator. We analyse the equivalent modeling output part of rectifier into DC/DC converter input part theoretically. We design a control algorithm for variable voltage according to wind speed intensity and density so that load voltage of chopper is controlled steadily using the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control method. We analyse a battery charging characteristics and a charging circuit for power storage enabling the supply of stable power to the load. We design a system and do the modeling of it analytically so that it supplies a stable power to the load by constructing a DC-AC inverter point. Also we design a charging circuit usable in actual wind power generation system of 30kW and confirm its validity.
