  • In this research, among thermoplasticity plastic raw material that recycling is possible polyolefine(TPO) and polyvinyl chloride(PVC) as target recycling plan examine wish to. It is polyolefine(TPO) and polyvinyl chloride(PVC)) is mediocrity material that there are a lot of amount useds among plastic material and it is material that recycling is also activated most. Long term made first new regulation raw material, by-product raw material happened at process of production at second factory and third time to examine recycling plan of this material divides this as raw material that pass through process separation and pelet Tuesday and analyzed each special quality removing each removed waste after is used. Measure tension strength and ext. heightening gradually mixing proportion of refreshing resources on standard Sample manufactured as new raw material and application examined possibility availability to single fly system.

  • Composite material made of recycling paper and plastics was developed. The tension and bending testing result of developed composite material shows that the cellulose contained in paper contributes much to get high flexural rigidity. As an application example, the raised access floor for office automation purpose was developed by making use of developed composite material. Manufacturing process together with the extrusion die and the compression die for to manufacture the access floor have been developed.

  • In order to expand the material recycling of waste plastics made of composite materials, it is necessary to develop the use of material recycling products and to secure their quality stability. In this paper, as a basic study to secure the stability of the quality of household waste plastic material recycling products, the quality characteristics of recycled materials according to the production period were compared and reviewed. In addition, the average tensile strength of the recycled products by production period for 4 months was 12.33 MPa, and the average density was 1.35 g/m3.

  • In order to survey the numerical achievement of ELV recycling rate 95%, the definition of ELV recycling rate, material components of the automobile, improvement of ELV dismantling technology and status of ASR recycling were reviewed. On the other hand, field survey in details for dismantling works were conducted at Incheon Junkyard and H Junkyard. Although material recycling rate has been approaching 94% in dismantling step, status of ASR recycling is very unstable due to a ban of ASR recycling at cement kiln. It is clear that ASR recycling acts as a bottle neck in the ELV recycling. Therefore, it is important energy recycling of ASR should be enlarged to achieve ELV recycling rate 95%.

  • In downtown subway project most of excavated soil is discarded externally, whereas in road construction excavated soil is used as filling material and management of surplus soil becomes important factor for success of the project. Excavated materials from slurry shield TBM are discharged through discharge pipe to slurry treatment plant and excavated soil mixed with bentonite are separated in separation plant by grain size. Fine material has been discarded together in filter cake without recycling. Its volume can vary according to geologic condition but statistically fine material as filter cake is about 5%~30% out of overall excavated volume. However, filter cake is non-toxic and can be recycled when mixed in the appropriate proportions with coarse aggregate. Therefore, in this study, utilization of excavated soil from a slurry shield TBM were examined and lab tests were conducted to find the proper way for mixing filter cake and aggregate to be recycled as fill material for road construction.

  • As world population increases and the world economy expalds, so does the demand for natural resources especially strategic metals such as cobalt. An accurate assesment of the nation's minerals must include not only the resources available in the ground but also those that become available through recycling. In this paper, data on domestic and international supply of cobalt and its applications by end-user were analyzed for stable security of cobalt resources and effective recycling of cobalt scraps. Also, an initial evaluation of the flow of cobalt-containing materials in the United States was prepared. In 2003, 8,000 metric tons of cobalt were consumed in the United States and an estimated 28% of U.S. cobalt supply was derived from scrap. The superalloy industry and catalyst industries have well-established recycling or cobalt recovery practices. Recycling rates of cobalt scraps from magnet alloy and cemented carbide were relatively low.

  • This research was conducted to estimate the physicochemical characteristics of waste catalyst and its in-process product from recycling and to suggest fundamental data for religious systems such as quality standards. Mo and V contents were increased from the waste catalyst to calcinated material and oxidized material. In the results of a heavy metals leaching test, Pb was not detected in any catalyst, calcinated and oxidized materials. Cu was not detected in the catalyst. However, it was detected in ${\leq}$1.16 mg/l for calcinated material and in 1.34~13.73 mg/l for $MoO_3$ oxidezed material. Concentrations in recycling in-process products (calcinated and oxidized materials) were higher than those of waste catalyst. Oil content of catalyst waste ranged from 0.01-14.03 wt%. Oil contents of calcinated and oxidized materials were greatly decreased compared to the catalyst waste. Carbon and sulfur contents as chemical poisoning material of catalyst waste ranged from 0.33-76.08 wt% and 5.00-22.00 wt%, respectively. The carbon contents of calcinated and oxidized materials showed below 20 wt%. The sulfur content showed below 8wt% for calcinated material and below 0.22 wt% for oxidized material.
