비선형왜곡된 형광안저화상의 보정 (Correction of Ocular Fundus Fluorescein Angiogram in Nonlinear Distortion)

  • Image correction of the fluorescein angiogram with the low contrast and geometrically distorted is studied. The procedure is divided into two steps : A template matching step and a geometrical transformation step. Based on the sequential similiarity detection algorithm, more Improved matching results are obtained with edge enhanced image. For the reference points and the corresponding matchimg points, the geometrical transformationss by the use of the average value of the X, Y translational shifts and a pair of these points, respectively are described. Then the corrected images are obtained using bilinear interpolation. It is proven that the usefullness of this study for the image correction of the ocular fundus fluoresceln angiogram with low contrast and geometrically distorted mainly due to the eye movements.

형태학적 골격에서의 거리 변환을 이용한 2차원 물체 인식 (2-D object recognition using distance transform on morphological skeleton)

  • In this paper, w epropose a new mehtod to represent the shape and to recognize the object. The shape description and the matching is implemented by using the distance transform on the morphological skeleton. The employed distance transform is the chamfer (3,4) distance transform, because the chamfer distance transform (CDT) has an approximate value to the euclidean distance. The 2-D object can be represented by means of the distribution of the distance transform on the morphological skeleton, the number of skeletons, the sum of the CDT, and the other features are employed as the mtching parameters. The matching method has the invariant features (rotation, translation, and scaling), and then the method is used effectively for recognizing the differently-posed objects and/or marks of the different shape and size.

  • In this paper, we solve the problem of designing a robust optimal controller which minimizes the H$\infty$-norm of the mixed sensitivity function matrix for linear multivariable systems. For a given minimized value, ${\gamma}$>o, an algorithm of finding all stabilizing controllers, such that the H$\infty$-norm of the mixed sensitivity function matrix is less than ${\gamma}$, is developed. The proposed algorithm, which is based on the model-matching and the interpolation theory, can be used for the H$\infty$-optimization problem.

카오스 패턴 발견을 위한 음성 데이터의 처리 기법 (Speech Signal Processing for Analysis of Chaos Pattern)

  • Based on the chaos theory, a new method of presentation of speech signal has been presented in this paper. This new method can be used for pattern matching such as speaker recognition. The expressions of attractors are represented very well by the logistic maps that show the chaos phenomena. In the speaker recognition field, a speaker's vocal habit could be a very important matching parameter. The attractor configuration using change value of speech signal can be utilized to analyze the influence of voice undulations at a point on the vocal loudness scale to the next point. The attractors arranged by the method could be used in research fields of speech recognition because the attractors also contain unique information for each speaker.

  • An electrostatic boundary-value problem of a dielectric-wedge-backed, double-slotted conducting wedge is investigated to analyze an asymmetric coplanar waveguide with an infinite dielectric thickness using the Mellin transform and a mode-matching method. Our theoretical solution based on eigenfunction expansion and residue calculus is a rigorous and fast-convergent series form. Numerical computations are conducted to evaluate the potential field, capacitance, and characteristic impedance for various structures of the asymmetric coplanar waveguide. The computed results show good agreement with the simulated results.

  • This article is concerned with automatic segmentation of two adjacent vowels for speech signals. All kinds of transition case of adjacent vowels can be characterized by spectrogram. Firstly the voiced-speech is extracted by the histogram analysis of vowel indicator which consists of wavelet low pass components. Secondly given phonetic transcription and transition pattern spectrogram, the voiced-speech portion which has consecutive vowels automatically segmented by the template matching. The cross-correlation function is adapted as a template matching method and the modified correlation coefficient is calculated for all frames. The largest value on the modified correlation coefficient series indicates the boundary of two consecutive vowel sounds. The experiment is performed for 154 vowel transition sets. The 154 spectrogram templates are gathered from 154 words(PRW Speech DB) and the 161 test words(PBW Speech DB) which are uttered by 5 speakers were tested. The experimental result shows the validity of the method.

변형된 Folded 다이폴 안테나의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Modified Folded Dipole Antenna)

  • 본 연구에서는 변형된 Folded 다이폴 안테나의 특성을 모멘트법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 안테나의 중심주파수는 200MHz, 도선의 반지름은 0.5mm이고 두 개의 선형 다이폴 사이의 간격은 2cm이다. 시뮬레이션 결과 18cm 정도의 내부 sub 변화와 4.5cm 정도의 외부 stub 변화는 SWR 기준으로 3 미만을 유지한다. 이는 변형된 Folded 다이폴 안테나가 추가적인 정합회로 없이 광대역 특성을 보이는 것을 의미한다.

항공 영상에서의 인공지물의 정확한 경계 추출 (The Extraction of Exact Building Contours in Aerial Images)

  • In this paper, an algorithm that finds man-made structures in a praylevel aerial images is proposed to perform stereo matching. An extracted contour of buildings must have a high accuracy in order to get a good feature-based stereo matching result. Therefore this study focuses on the use of edge following in the original image rather than use of ordinary edge filters. The Algorithm is composed of two main categories; one is to find candidate regions in the whole image and the other is to extract exact contours of each building which each candidate region.. The region growing method using the centroid linkage method of variance value is used to find candidate regions of building and the contour line tracing algorithm based on an adge following method is used to extract exact contours. The result shows that the almost contours of building composed of line segments are extracted.

A Low-Loss On-Chip Transformer Using an Auxiliary Primary Part (APP) for CMOS Power Amplifier Applications

  • We propose a low-loss on-chip transformer using an auxiliary primary part (APP) for an output matching network for fully integrated CMOS power amplifiers. The APP is designed using a fifth metal layer while the primary and secondary parts are designed using a sixth metal layer with a width smaller than that of the primary and secondary parts of the transformer to minimize the substrate loss and the parasitic capacitance between the primary and secondary parts. By adapting the APP in the on-chip transformer, we obtain an improved maximum available gain value without the need for any additional chip area. The feasibility of the proposed APP structure is successfully verified.

가중치를 이용한 센서스 변환과 가이드 필터링 기반깊이지도 생성 방법 (Weighted Census Transform and Guide Filtering based Depth Map Generation Method)

  • 일반적으로 영상은 기하학적 왜곡과 방사성 왜곡을 포함하고 있다. 센서스 변환은 방사 왜곡으로 인해 발생하는 스테레오 부정합 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 일반적인 센서스 변환은 윈도우 중심 화소 값과 이웃한 화소의 값을 비교하기 때문에 화소 값의 차이가 크지 않은 경우 정확한 정합 결과를 얻기 어렵다. 이를 해결하기 위해 윈도우 내 보조 윈도우를 적용하여 화소 값 차이별로 서로 다른 4단계 가중치를 적용하는 센서스 변환 방법을 제안한다. 현재 화소 값이 보조 윈도우의 화소평균 값 보다 큰 경우 높은 가중치를 부여하고, 그렇지 않은 경우 낮은 가중치를 부여함으로서 차등적인 센서스 변환을 수행한다. 가중치를 이용한 센서스 변환 영상과 입력 영상을 이용하여 초기 변위지도를 생성한 뒤, 기울기 정보를 추가적으로 사용하여 최종 변위 지도 생성을 위한 비용 함수를 모델링한다. 최적의 비용 값을 찾기 위해 가이드 필터링을 사용하는데, 이는 입력 영상과 변위 영상을 사용하여 필터링을 수행하기 때문에 객체의 경계영이 보존될 수 있다. 실험 결과로부터 제안한 방법을 이용한 스테레오 정합 결과 성능이 기존의 방법에 비해 개선된 것을 확인하였다.
