In this paper, the design process and method for a compact wideband loop antenna for terrestrial digital TV (DTV) and ultra high definition (UHD) TV applications was proposed. Horizontal slits were added on the two circular sectors of the proposed loop antenna in order to miniaturize the existing wideband loop antenna consisting of a square loop and two circular sectors. A CPW transmission line was inserted in the center of the lower circular sector as a feed line. The CPW feed line was designed using the 75 ohm port impedance for DTV and UHD TV applications, and a tapered center-signal line was designed to improve the impedance matching. The final designed antenna was fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a thickness of 0.8 mm. The experiment results show that the proposed compact loop antenna operates in the frequency band of 444.3-820.1 MHz for a VSWR < 2, which fully covers the DTV and UHD TV bands.

For the purpose of Application to the small radar sensor, the MMIC Chips, which are the core component of the W-band, was designed in Korea according to the characteristics of the transceiver and manufactured by 60nm GaN and 0.1㎛ GaAs pHEMT process. The output power of PA is 28 dBm at center frequency of W-band and Noise figure is 6.7 dB of switch and LNA MMIC. Output power and Noise figure of MMIC chips developed in domestic was applied to the transmitter and receiver module through W-band waveguide low loss transition structure design and impedance matching to verify the performance after the fabrication are 26.1~27.7 dBm and 7.85~10.57 dB including thermal testing, and which are close to the analysis result. As a result, these are judged that the PA and Switch and LNA MMICs can be applied to the small radar sensor.
In this paper, we propose a method to implement an unequal power divider with different complex termination impedances for different output power ratios. The proposed method was designed using a matching the terminated complex impedances of the output port using only the transmission line, and presented an isolation circuits to satisfy the isolation characteristic between the terminating complex impedance ports. To prove the feasibility of this method, an unequal power divider with different load complex impedances with a splitting ratio k2 = 3 dB and 1.7 dB and an unequal power divider with different complex termination impedances of all ports with a splitting ratio k2 = 3 dB was designed at a center frequency of 2 GHz, and it was confirmed that the measured results of the electrical characteristics agree well the simulation.

PURPOSE: This study was conducted to suggest a way to easily understand and utilize the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) or Korean Standard Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (KCF), a common and standard language related to health information. METHODS: The tools used by physical therapists to evaluate the functioning of neurological patients were collected from 10 domestic hospitals. By applying the ICF linking rule, two experts compared, analyzed, and linked the concepts in the items of the collected tools and the ICF/KCF codes. The frequency of use of the selected tool, the matching rate of the liking results of two experts, and the number of the codes linked were treated as descriptive statistics and the code set was presented as a list. RESULTS: The berg balance scale, trunk impairment scale, timed up and go test, functional ambulation category, 6 Minute walk test, manual muscle test, and range of motion measurements were the most commonly used tools for evaluating the functioning. The total number of items of the seven tools was 33, and the codes linked to the ICF/KCF were 69. Twenty-two codes were mapped, excluding duplicate codes. Ten codes in the body function, 11 codes in the activity, and one code in the environmental factor were included. CONCLUSION: The information on the development process of the code set will increase the understanding of ICF/KCF and the developed code set can conveniently be used for collecting patients' functioning information.
In this study, an empirical analysis was conducted on the use of Korean design elements in the Hanbokwave project in 2022 in order to identify the expressed fashion characteristics and define Korean style. A case study was conducted on 98 items of clothing representing 10 Hanbok designer brands, and an analysis card was developed and used that classifies the silhouette of each item in detail. The analysis showed that in addition to the traditional skirt and Jeogori, the four stages of simulakr's image were prevalent in various fashion items such as shirts, blouses, jackets, crop tops, vests, dresses, and pants. In the composition of sleeves, many western clothing methods such as set-in-sleeve use and adjustment, hardcover buttons, and zippers were used to fuse the three-dimensional structure of western clothing and elements of traditional Hanbok to redefine it as postmodernism. It was recognized as a modern fashion, such as the trend of mixing and matching tops and bottoms, not a skirt and Jeogori set, by layering traditional clothes without hesitation or using them as a dress. As for the silhouette of the bottoms, the A-line showed a high frequency, and the prominent shape was identified as a traditional element widely used in modern Hanboks along with the element of wrinkles. This study is thought to be used as practical data for design development for the globalization of K-fashion in the future.

Background: The primary aim of this study is to statistically analyze and compare the difference in treatment outcomes based on the frequency and duration of acupotomy treatment for lumbar disk herniation. Methods: The evaluation of efficacy and safety involved using visual analog scale (VAS), numeric rating scale (NRS), Roland Morris disability questionnaire (RMDQ), EuroQol 5-dimention (EQ-5D), and similar parameters. This was achieved through the establishment of a comparable cohort using propensity score matching. Group A comprised 46 patients who underwent 4 sessions of acupotomy treatment for 2 weeks, while Group B consisted of 15 patients who received 6 acupotomy sessions for 3 weeks. Results: For Group A, the average amount of change in VAS values at weeks 4 and 6 was significantly decreased. However, the average amount of change in RMDQ values was not significant. Notably, the average amount of change of EQ-5D values at week 6 increased significantly. As for Group B, the average amount of change of NRS values in weeks 2 and 3 was significantly decreased. Conversely, the average amount of change in RMDQ and EQ-5D values was not significant. In comparing the 2 groups at the final follow-up, the average amount of change in all evaluation values was not significant. Further, no significant interaction effect was observed in the changes over time in all evaluation values between the 2 groups. Conclusion: This study establishes that there was no statistically significant difference in pain reduction, functional impairment, and quality of life improvement between 2 group.
This paper presents various methods for implementing 3-dB coupler using a broadside slot coupled lines and analyze its characteristics. The ideal coupler of the tandem structure is analyzed on the premise that both the reflection coefficient and the isolation coefficient of the first and second coupler connections are zero. However, since the reflection and isolation coefficients of most couplers are not zero, the S-parameter cascade calculation method was used to check how to the characteristics of the coupler change due to this. In order to confirm that these characteristics appear, a 3-dB coupler was fabricated with one stage and two and three stages of a tandem structure using a broadside slot coupled lines at a center frequency of 2 GHz, and it was confirm that the characteristics of tandem coupler change due to the non-zero reflection coefficient and isolation coefficient of the connection part of the coupler.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk of cropland and man-made infrastructures in a landslide-prone area using a GIS-based method. To achieve this goal, a landslide inventory map was prepared based on aerial photograph analysis as well as field observations. A total of 550 landslides have been counted in the entire study area. For model analysis and validation, extracted landslides were randomly selected and divided into two groups. The landslide causative factors such as slope, aspect, curvature, topographic wetness index, elevation, forest type, forest crown density, geology, land-use, soil drainage, and soil texture were used in the analysis. Moreover, to identify the correlation between landslides and causative factors, pixels were divided into several classes and frequency ratio was also extracted. A landslide susceptibility map was constructed using a bayesian predictive model (BPM) based on the entire events. In the cross validation process, the landslide susceptibility map as well as observation data were plotted with a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve then the area under the curve (AUC) was calculated and tried to extract a success rate curve. The results showed that, the BPM produced 85.8% accuracy. We believed that the model was acceptable for the landslide susceptibility analysis of the study area. In addition, for risk assessment, monetary value (local) and vulnerability scale were added for each social thematic data layers, which were then converted into US dollar considering landslide occurrence time. Moreover, the total number of the study area pixels and predictive landslide affected pixels were considered for making a probability table. Matching with the affected number, 5,000 landslide pixels were assumed to run for final calculation. Based on the result, cropland showed the estimated total risk as US $ 35.4 million and man-made infrastructure risk amounted to US $ 39.3 million.
In this paper, a high-efficiency power amplifier was designed by applying the operating point Class J using LDMOS(laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor) and optimizing the output matching circuit so that the second harmonic impedance becomes the reactance impedance. The designed power amplifier has a frequency of 108 ~ 110 MHz, Characteristics of PAE(power added efficiency) is 71.5% at PSAT output (54.5 dBm), 55.5% at P1dB output (51.5 dBm), and 24.38% at 45 dBm. The CSB(carrier with sideband) amplifier, which is the reference signal in the spatial modulation method, has an operating output of 45 dBm ~ 35 dBm, and linear SDM(sum in the depth of modulation) characteristics(40% ± 0.3%) were obtained. We measure the characteristics in amplitude modulation according to the bias operating point of the power amplifier for CSB and propose the optimal operating point to obtain linear modulation characteristics.

This paper is studied for the design and experiment of a wideband printed 1x2 dipole array antenna for 3.5GHz band application. The printed dipole antenna used in the array antenna was implemented in the form of a rectangular strip, and was consisted with a broadside coupled stripline (BCS). The feed line was designed to be tapered for broadband impedance matching. As a result of comparing the simulation results and measurement results, it was found that the two results were in good agreement with 2.8% error(100MHz shift @3.5GHz). As a result of the experiment, based on VSWR=2, a bandwidth of about 16% was obtained from the center frequency of 3.5 GHz to 3.15~3.70 GHz.
