In this paper, I tried to apply the viewpoint and the method of "Cultural Study" to the analysis of a Architecture. "SE HAN DO(歲寒圖/ Jeonghee Kim 金正喜/ 1844)", the masterpiece of the "literary artist's paintings"(文人畵) is used as a 'TEXT‘(: parole) and analysed to show how artist's value and social-cultural ideology (as a 'CONTEXT':langue) are projected to the space and architectural vocabulary.

Changes in activity of gibberellin C20-hydroxylase which converts $[^{14}C]GA_{12}\;to\;GA_{l5}$ were studied during seed maturation using the partially purified enzyme preparations of two cultivars, Kentucky Wonder (normal) and Masterpiece (dwarf) of Phaseolus vulgaris. The preparations obtained by methanol precipitation and hydrophobic interaction chromatography efficiently converted; $GA_{l2}\;to\;GA_{4},\;via\;GA_{15},\;GA_{24}\;and\;GA_{9};\;GA_{20}\;to\;GA_{1},\;GA_{5}\;and\;GA_{6}$. The activities of C20-hydroxylase which converts $GA_{l2}\;to\;GA_{l5}$ were almost the same in both cultivars. The C20-hydroxylase activity per protein reached a maximum at the very early immature seed stage, followed by a subsequent rapid decrease during seed maturation, whereas the enzyme specific activity per seed reached a maximum at 21 days after flowering, and showed a similar fiuctuation to that of the 313-hydroxylase which converts $GA_{20}\;to\;GA_{l}$ during seed maturation.ration.

Existing studies overlooked the meaning of food and meal in , and thus overlooked an important characteristic of . Therefore, research that analyzes the text focusing on the function of food and discusses the meaning of the meal in depth is required. In , food is a direct expression of desire. Excessive appetite means excessive expansion of desire, and this expansion becomes a symptom of not only individual problems but also social problems. Therefore, the realization of how to control one's inner desires by protecting the moderation of food suggests the value that this work ultimately aims for.

Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is becoming a popular health care means in most countries, and more than 70% of the developing world's population is depending on CAM, including traditional Chinese medicine and ayurvedic medicine. Islamic medicine, another CAM, has shown remarkable success in healing acute and chronic diseases and has been utilized by people in Mediterranean countries. This paper aims to throw light on Islamic medicine through Ibn Sina, known as Avicenna in the West; Ibn Sina was a celebrated Persian thinker, philosopher, and physician who is remembered for his masterpiece, The Canon of Medicine. The paper also discusses the relationship between Islamic medicine and Korean medicine.

The present study examined the effect on children's creativity of using painting masterpieces with activities of physical expression. Subjects were 32 five-year-old kindergarten children assigned to control or experimental groups. The experimental group participated in physical expression activities using painting masterpieces twice a week for six weeks. Figure paintings of such famous artists as Kim Hong Do, Kim Deek Shin, Degas and others were presented by Projection TV in connection with physical movement in the classroom. Creativity was tested by Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking(2002). Results showed that the experimental group exhibited positive change in creativity scores and the sub-areas of creativity(fluency, originality, abstractness of titles, elaboration, and resistance to premature closure).

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences between Mathura and gandhara Buddha's costume, and to observe the types and unique style of Mathura Buddha's costume. I classified all types of Mathura Buddha's costume by and largely and researched the feature of each type and creases of costume with the focus criterion works of that. Mathura is center of Buddha's statue and influences to Gandhara with each other. Also mathura has developed peculiarly and at last Mathura made the masterpiece of Buddha's statue of Gupta period to acme of the 5 century.

Wangyun is a prominent scholar in the Qing dynasty. Shuowenshili is his masterpiece study of Shuowenjiezi. Shuowenshili discusses the difference between Fenbiewen and Leizengzi. It emphasizes that meanings to a word tends to help express more exactly. Wangyun's discussion about Gujinzi refers to the phenomenon that in order to recode a word different characters used in different periods. Wangyun's use of Gujinzi is based on the purpose to explain the relationship between characters. Fenbiewen and Leizengzi are specialized term of characters evolution. Wangyun's theory of Fenbiewen, Leizengzi and Gujinzi is the most important linguistics found. He was generous contributions to the linguistics of China. In particular, understanding the meaning and development of Chinese character.

If 《Bailuyuan》 is a piece that reflects the trend of changing Chinese contemporary literature after the 1990 reform and the opening up of socialism, 《Taebaek Mountain》 is a literary masterpiece that shows the peak of the people and coincided with subject controversy in the 1980s. These two pieces of literature were based on a common experience swayed by the encroachment of Japanese imperialism, and they became best sellers in Korean and Chinese literary circles in the 1980s and 1990s. Based on their similarities, this paper focused on and took a closer look at character modeling in the two texts. In these books, the investigators also discuss how the main characters of Bailuyuan and Taebaek Mountain are portrayed, and how this portrayal strategically works to realize the theme of the text as well as the literary significance, value, and expected effects of the comparison between these two pieces of literary work.

Standards concerning the determination of positioning accuracy and repeatability of numerically controlled(NC) machine tools have been published relentlessly over the last 20 years. Since the publication in 1988 of the International Standard 230-2 there has been a pronounced move, both at national and international standards level, to embrace further test procedures for a complete machine tool performance assessment. For example, measurements of angular (pitch, roll, and yaw) and straightness errors along linear axes are now commonplace and complement the existing positioning accuracy and repeatablity tests. More recently the subject of circularity evalutaion has also gained considerable interest. Here dynamic tests, using a kinematic ballbar or circular masterpiece, give an instant overview of the contouring ability of the machine in two axes at specific feedrates. This information is extremely important in optimising machining accuracy. This paper describes moves to complete the machine calibration package in national and international standardis- ation for the assessment of machine tool performance.

This paper does not follow the well-known critical practice of Charles Perke, Edward Brandabur and Phillip Herring who, regarding The Dead, James Joyce s earliest masterpiece, as the conclusion of Dubliners, classify Gabriel as one of the dead. Instead it concurs with such critics as William York Tindal, Kenneth Burke and Allen Tate who, interpreting The Dead as a story of Gabriel s spiritual maturation, discuss the famous snow vision at the end of the story as a signifier of his rebirth experience. A new reading of The Dead, which is the aim of this paper, examines the very processes which produce both form and content, thereby demonstrating that The Dead is a story of Gabriel s spiritual growth and that the supreme snow vision is prepared for his spirit which progresses towards a richer synthesis of life and death, a higher altitude of flight and wider horizons.
