철도와 지역발전 - 대구권 광역전철망 구상과 지역발전 효과 (A Study on Construction of Metro Rapid Transit Network in Daegu Area)

  • Construction of metro transportation infra is a large-scale project requiring tremendous financial resources. This study suggests operation method to use for rapid transit line existing infra such as Gyeongbu line and spare line capacity following second phase KTX construction. Reviewing various constraints of metro rapid transit operation, we found that the conditions for metro rapid transit operation are already satisfied in Daegu area, just like the case of Gyeongbu line in Seoul Metro area. Also, the evaluation of the economic feasibility of metro rapid transit operation in Daegu area shows that B/C is about 2.4, which implies that there is sufficient economic feasibility. According to the result of sensitivity analysis, the project is economically feasible unless the passenger demand decreases 15% and construction costs increases more than 70%. B/C is evaluated large because the utilization of already exiting infra lowers the initial cost. As one of mass transportation system of large capacity, metro rapid transit can generate significant spillover effect: It will strengthen competitiveness of metro area by connecting cities within the area and by extending one-day life zone of the area, to say nothing of the benefit of improving traffic condition. The construction of metro rapid transit network is necessary for the mass transportation system of Yeongnam area as well as Daegu area, and it may work as a starting point for uniting Daegu and Gyeongbuk and strengthening regional competitiveness.

An Importance-Performance Gap Analysis for Innovation in Public Transport Financing: Critical Success Factors of Public-Private Partnership in Mass Rapid Transit in Bangkok

  • This study examines the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) projects in Bangkok through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. It measures the relative importance and performance of 22 CSF indicators of PPP for Bangkok's MRT projects and assesses the gap between importance and performance to prioritize the areas for improvement. This study revealed that eight indicators showed lower performance compared to their importance. Based on the gap analysis, the improvement priorities were identified in the following order: sharing information, incorporating technical elements, clarifying the legal framework, stable committee composition, the various finance resources, improved utilization of the PPP act, a transparent procurement process, and tax incentives. The findings of this research offer strategic insights for enhancing guidelines and processes to address the specific challenges in the PPP project, thereby improving the framework and policies necessary for the successful completion of public transportation projects in developing countries.

  • PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) is alternation mode of auto and advanced transportation system as future transportation mode cope with the situation caused by increasing traffic demand, vehicle, environment, energy problem. but there is no place where PRT is operated therefore it is necessary of study on application of PRT The purpose of this study is putting into shape of fundamental notion and role of PRT as transit system and studying of domestic application possibility We expect that PRT make transit will make variety and be able to connect with mass transportation facility, have a connection between trunk line and branch line, be a effective local transportation system within CBD, be a transportation system within leisure complex.   • With the rapid development of Urban Mass Transit in China, the Intelligent Transport System becomes inevitable. Based on the brief introduction of the blueprint of Urban Mass Transit in Shanghai, this paper analyses in detail the components and functions of Automatic Train Control (ATC) system applied in Shanghai Metro, presents the key technology of the main three subsystems of the ATC system : Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) subsystem, Automatic Train Protection (ATP) subsystem, Automatic Train Operation (ATO) subsystem. After reading this paper, you will have an general grasp of ATC system. At the end of the paper, it suggests a good resolution about the ATC system equipment to be made in China.   • 기존 대중교통시스템은 한정된 수송용량, 포화상태인 도로 교통체계 등으로 인해 새로운 교통수단이 발전할 수 있는 단초를 제공하였으나, 교통당국에서는 기존의 도시철도의 규모를 축소시킨 경량 전철 위주로 신교통시스템의 도입을 추진하고 있다. 특히 각 도시별로 대중교통(버스 또는 도시철도)을 계획할 때 특별한 대중교통시스템 선정기준이 없어 해당 지자체별로 어려움을 겪고 있어, 대중교통축별로 어떠한 대중교통시스템이 적정한지를 판단할 수 있는 선정 기준이 필요하다는 목소리가 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 도시의 교통축별로 GIS Buffering 분석기법에 기반한 대중교통수요 예측모형을 개발하고, 대중교통시스템별 용량을 설정하여 교통축별 최적의 대중교통시스템을 선정하고자 하였으며, 대중교통이 운행하는 대중교통축별로 수요를 처리할 수 있는 적정 대중교통시스템을 선정하는 것이 가장 중요하므로, 선정 및 평가에 대해 필요조건과 충분조건으로 구분한 방법론을 제시하였다.

통행구조로 본 서울대도시권 교통정책의 과제 (Trip and Transportation Structure of Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • This study intends to analyze the trip and transportation structure of Seoul Metropolitan Area(SMA) where has been experiencing the rapid growth and the extra-concentration in the recent 2∼3 decades. By analyzing the trip and transportation structure which reveals the frame of travel flow phenomena on the real space, this paper evaluates the transporation policy realized in SMA for the last 10∼15 years. The policy implications of this paper are as follows; 1. The activities and the daily travel movement of SMA have been larger and more complex rapidly, but the transportation policy bas been poor. 2. The distribution of commuter's origins and destinatinos have been getting wider, and the distance between the home and the workplace longer. In short, the land use policy, the industrial policy, and housing policy have failed, and the coordination of those policies has been very poor. 3. The multi-center spatial structure was the official policy. Indeed, SMA has been reorgnized in such a way. But the implementation strategy was very poor. 4. Now, the for-business travels closely related with the multi-center structure, are increasing more and more rapidly. It is required that the strategic policy of mulit-center structure and the transportation policy should be coordinated. And as soon as possible, the more powerful mass transit system should be developed and constructed.

디스크 질량 변화에 따른 철도차량용 제동디스크의 마찰 특성 (Influence of Disk Mass with regard to Frictional Characteristics of Brake Disk for Rolling Stock)

  • Low alloy heat resistant brake disk and sintered brake pad are applied to mechanical brake system for the speed-up of urban rapid transit. In this research, we analyzed how the frictional characteristics between brake disk and pad are influenced by the disk mass. At a high disk mass, the friction stability was the lower value as a result of the lack of tribofilm formation at the disk surface. Wear rates of friction materials showed the higher value at a low disk mass and wear rates of 10 mm and 15 mm showed the similar level. Average friction coefficient was the lower value at the 10 mm disk thickness and range of variation of average friction coefficient was also the smaller value at the 10 mm disk thickness. However, there were no significant changes in the friction coefficients under any of test conditions. Surface roughness of a disk showed the highest value at the 5 mm disk and surface roughnesses of 10 mm and 15 mm showed the similar level. As a result, friction characteristics of disk mass influenced the friction stability, as well as the wear rate of friction pad and disk, but not the friction coefficient.

Geotechnical parameters from pressuremeter tests for MRT Blue Line extension in Bangkok

  • Construction of the extension project of the Bangkok MRT Blue Line underground railway was recently started in 2011. The construction of approximately 5 km long underground tunnel and 4 deep excavations of underground station are considered to be the most important geotechnical works. The pressuremeter was selected as a high-quality in situ testing of the soil to evaluate design parameters for the project. In addition, other field and laboratory tests such as vane shear and $CK_0U$ triaxial tests were included in the investigation programme. This paper aims to present the ground conditions encountered along the MRT Blue Line extension project as well as the site investigation and interpretation techniques with particular focus on the pressuremeter tests. The results are also compared with the pressuremeter investigation from the previous Bangkok MRT project.

  • In this study, measured and calculated responses are compared in order to give how the static and dynamic responses occurred in steel railway bridges Sue to train loads could be calculated appropriately. From this, it is known that the static response ratios (measures / calculated) is high comparing to the highway blisses, and the dynamic response should be obtained by the moving mass problem. And it is known that the factors specifies in the present railway bridge code are very safe under the present service speed below 100 km/h, but are not under the rapid transit system above 100 km/h.

  • Railroads made many contribution to modernization being developed so quickly as public transportation, but after middle of 20 century, its qualities are getting low because of focusing on the investment and development of cars and airplanes. Its role which is getting the excellent merits on the mass transportation, rapid transit. safety, state period, energy efficiency, and prevention of environmental pollution has been reconsidered. Element of horizontal alignment In an existing railroad line is needed as basic materials, when it will be improved or moved. If its design drawing was lost or damaged, it is impossible to recover. It is riot easy to repair for it as disasters. We must understand an existing railroad line to bring a function included a basic geography situation. In this studies we acquire, analyze. and handle the digital picture of railroads and then reappear shape of three dimension. But also we want to contribute to establish the facilities information choosing materials of existing railroad line in outputting the alignment element by reverse.
