A Survey of Human Injury and Crowd Packing in Mass Gathering (군중집회 시의 인명피해 및 군중눌림 현상의 고찰)

  • This study was performed for identifying the characteristics of mass gathering and human injury in mass gathering based on the literature survey and analysis of mass gathering and crowd packing. The size and density of crowd influenced the characteristics of mass gathering according to type of mass gathering. The variables and causes of human injuries of mass gathering have positive or negative influences based on the weather, attendance, duration, location, mobility, event type, crowd mood, alcohol, drug, crowd density and age. Based on the physical mechanism of crowd packing, the degree of crowd packing was influenced by crowd pressure, crowd density and lasting time. But the magnitude of pressure for pedestrian injury criteria remains for further research.

  • After the 10.29 Itaewon disaster, interests in the crowd crush injury increased, but it is pointed out that the academic and practical basis related to crowd crush is still weak in Korea. Therefore, in this study, terms and concepts related to crowd crush were investigated and proposed, and representative cases of crowd crush events were investigated and summarized. Approaches based on representative cases were investigated, and among them, video analysis, simulation, questionnaire survey and interview methods were derived as an essential approach methods. Through this research, it is expected that standardization of Korean terminology, concept establishment, evaluation, and systematization of approach methods of crowd crush can be accomplished.

Development of Nuclear Industry Information Gathering and Analysis System and Denied Persons Information Gathering System for Preventing Illegitimate Export of Trigger List Items in Korea

  • In South Korea, the exporters of items related to nuclear power generation are diversified. Consequently, there is a risk of illegitimate export by companies failing to recognize the export control system because the awareness about this system for the strategic items among the subcontractors of nuclear power facilities is limited. To prevent illegitimate export of the strategic items, it is necessary to conduct outreach activities regarding the export control system for the related companies. Additionally, the exporters and export license examiners should consider whether an export target is on the Denial List, who may divert the strategic items to weapons of mass destruction. Therefore, the Korea Institute of Nuclear Nonproliferation and Control developed two systems for controlling illegitimate export of the Trigger List items. The first system, Nuclear Industry Information Collection and Analysis System, can gather information about the key nuclear industries in Korea and analyze the dealing of strategic items. The second system, Denied Persons Information Gathering System, can regularly gather information about the denied persons and provide the updated data to the exporters and regulatory examiners. These two systems can be used for outreach activities and export license examination to prevent illegitimate export of the strategic items.

  • Autogenous shrinkage of high-strength mass concrete is affected high temperature history. So to evaluate autogenous shrinkage of high-strength mass concrete accurately, thermal expansion in it should be removed. In this study, compensated autogenous shrinkage was calculated after gathering thermal expansion coefficient at early age experimentally. As a result of the study. Autogenous shrinkage of mass specimen (300 ${\times}$ 300 ${\times}$ 300mm) was remarkably higher than it of standard specimen (100 ${\times}$ 100 ${\times}$ 400mm). So it was found that compensation on thermal expansion should in evaluating autogenous shrinkage of high-strength mass concrete. And this study shows results on opc and similar own contraction, if used retarder.

  • Since Samsung SDI and Sony started mass production of AM-OLED display for mobile/TV applications, OLED technology has emerged as leading candidate among the many technologies under development for next generation Flat panel displays. P-OLED (Polymer Organic Lighting Emitting Diode) technology, a class of OLED, is gathering momentum towards commercialization. P-OLED technology has made tremendous progress in terms of display performance (including life time, efficiency and color gamut) and in the maturity of ink jet printing process and equipment. In order to get into the mobile/TV application market successfully, P-OLED display technology must meet the following display makers' requirements: (1) P-OLED Display Performance in terms of lifetime, efficiency, and color coordinates, (2) Low Cost Manufacturing Technology such as "Solution Processable Printing Technology". P-OLED technology has already overcome many of the hurdles to mass manufacturing. In this paper, the latest developments in ink jet printing technology, including P-OLED material performance, is discussed.

  • Effective methods for monitoring the quality of polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) films are discussed. Raman spectroscopy is typically used to determine crystallinity of poly-Si, but this method has limitations for data gathering on large substrates for mass production of poly-Si TFT backplanes. Spectroscopic ellipsometry is proposed as an alternative for fast and simple estimation of poly-Si quality on large substrates. By using both ellipsometry and Raman spectroscopy, it is possible to determine whether the quality and uniformity of the poly-Si films meet the criteria required for mass production of TFT backplanes for AMOLED panels.

  • The almost of Web page has been gathered the personal information(Korean resident registration number, name, cell-phone number, home telephone number, E-mail address, home address, etc.) using the membership and log-in. The all most user of Web page are concerned for gathering of the personal information. I-pin is the alternative means of resident registration number and has been used during the last ten-year period in the internet. The accident of I-pin mass illegal issue was happened by hacker at February, 2015. In this paper, we analysis the problems of I-pin system about I-pin mass illegal issue accident and propose a improvement method of it. First, I-pin issue must be processed by the off-line of face certification in spite of user's inconvenience. Second, I-pin use must be made up through second certification of password or OTP. The third, the notification of I-pin use must be sent to the user by the text messaging service of cell-phone or the E-mail. The forth, I-pin must be used an alternative means of Korean resident registration number in Internet. The methods can reduce the problems of I-pin system.

  • The scale of a natural disaster grows bigger and bigger every year. The government spends much of its budget on recovering the resulting damage on a national scale. It is important to shift the paradigm from taking measures after a disaster to that of taking preventive actions before a disaster in order to bring a fundamental resolution to such problems. In taking preventive actions and policies, it is necessary to integrate various kinds of advanced technologies including IT, high-tech information gathering technology and operational technology, and to predict and evaluate natural disasters on a comprehensive level. Although Korea is a country with a strong IT sector, most information gathering is still performed in paper. In particular, information about the areas of previous landslide occurrences and slopes remains on paper, which makes it difficult to share the information and to discern the contents, and also raises the possibility of missing documents. Thus this study set out to develop an information gathering and management system for cutting slopes using PDA from the perspective of information gathering, system compatibility, and information management. As a result, field information may be gathered in a variety of forms (location, photos, and texts) real-time. A rough judgment was also made of the stability of rock slopes using the SMR method on the field.

  • The purpose of this study is analysis of fusion cuisine recipe a gathering datum and informations for development of the fusion cuisine. The fusion cuisine is a new creative cuisine that come from a mixing between different cuisine recipe especially eastern cuisine wi th western cuisine. The fusion food is becoming a world popular food since 1980's. In Korea, the fusion food is favorite food is needed for development of the fusion cuisine, and we are able to get the datum and informations from mass media such as cuisine journals, newspapers and internet web site. Results of the analysis are as follows : 1. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is the grain have features that make a use of a spice and fat such as butter and olive oil. Boiling is used most frequently as a way of cooking among the grain centred fusion cuisine. Spagetti is used very after as a stuff for the fusion food. 2. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is meat make use of unusual meat such as the pigeons and spicery, and its popular cooking way is a baking. 3, The fusion cuisine that core stuff is a fish make use of herbs and alchole to get rid of a fishy smell, and various sauces are used for promoting taste and styling. 4. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is fruit and vegetables make use of boiling as cooking ways most frequently, but in the case that cook try to keep nutritive qualities, baking is used most frequently. 5. In beverage centred fusion cuisine, mixing of alchole with juice is most popular, its taste and color is unusually gorgeous.

Sorting Instagram Hashtags all the Way throw Mass Tagging using HITS Algorithm

  • Instagram is one of the fastest-growing online photo social web services where users share their life images and videos with other users. Image tagging is an essential step for developing Automatic Image Annotation (AIA) methods that are based on the learning by example paradigm. Hashtags can be used on just about any social media platform, but they're most popular on Twitter and Instagram. Using hashtags is essentially a way to group together conversations or content around a certain topic, making it easy for people to find content that interests them. Practically on average, 20% of the Instagram hashtags are related to the actual visual content of the image they accompany, i.e., they are descriptive hashtags, while there are many irrelevant hashtags, i.e., stophashtags, that are used across totally different images just for gathering clicks and for search ability enhancement. Hence in this work, Sorting instagram hashtags all the way through mass tagging using HITS (Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search) algorithm is presented. The hashtags can sorted to several groups according to Jensen-Shannon divergence between any two hashtags. This approach provides an effective and consistent way for finding pairs of Instagram images and hashtags, which lead to representative and noise-free training sets for content-based image retrieval. The HITS algorithm is first used to rank the annotators in terms of their effectiveness in the crowd tagging task and then to identify the right hashtags per image.
