The smart festival costume developed in this study maximizes the design elements by attaching electronic device to clothing, and uses voice, movement, and light sensor to utilize as expression elements. In addition, as a way to maximize cultural exchanges between Korea and China, smart festival costume was developed by applying smart clothing technology to the traditional costumes of both countries. and it was exhibited for 10 days at the 'Andong International Mask Dance Festival 2018'. The smart festival costume has the effect of multiplying the dynamism and excitement of the festival by the use of colorful lighting and it has been evaluated that the experience of wearing traditional costume of both countries contributes greatly to promote international cultural exchange. However, since smart clothing is inconvenient to wear due to the use of electronic products, meticulous research for consumer safety is required for practical use. Smart devices is expected to utilize for the development of traditional culture resources and the fashion industry in the future.
Purpose: The aims of this study were to examine the rate of depression among older adults living alone and to identify factors associated with depression in older adults living alone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A secondary data analysis was performed using data from the 2020 Korea Community Health Survey. The study participants were 18,824 older adults aged 65 years and over living alone. The data of the complex sample design was analyzed with consideration for weights, stratification, and clustering. Complex sample multiple logistic regression was conducted to identify factors associated with depression in older adults living alone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: The results showed that the rate of depression in older adults living alone was 6.3%. Older adults living alone with decreased physical activity, decreased hours of sleep, and an increased or similar frequency of meeting with friends or neighbors were found to be more likely to have depression. In terms of factors related to the practice of COVID-19 infection prevention and control rules, not disinfecting regularly and not wearing a mask indoors were related to depression. For health-related factors, fair or poor self-rated health status, not having breakfast every day, and feeling stressed were related to depression. Conclusion: It is recommended to develop tailored interventions to prevent depression among older adults living alone by considering the factors related to their depression during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Purpose: During the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) outbreak, mask-wearing is required to protect against and limit the spread of infection, but it can directly affect skin problems. Change in skin condition might be related to mental health. This study explored the association between skin conditions and behavior of skin cares and stress levels during the Covid-19pandemics. Research design, data and methodology: A survey was conducted on 516 adults who were aware of damaged skin due to continuous wearing of masks for a long time during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The study included 164 men and 352 women in the Republic of Korea. Results: Skin conditions and behavior of skin cares associated with stress perceptions. A multiple linear regression model was used adjusting for potential confounder. Conclusion: Since management so far in the COVID-19 Pandemic can cause skin concerns and change the original skin type, it is necessary to redefine and improve the use of skin care, face-washing methods, and functional cosmetics. People with high and low interest in skin type recognition and management were evenly identified, and it was confirmed that stress awareness decreases as awareness of skin care attitude increases.
In this paper, we designed a lighting optical system using a freeform lens as a substitute for expensive gobo lighting. Unlike gobo lighting, freeform lens lighting does not use an image mask, and it can form and project an image directly on the lens surface using only a single lens, thus reducing the cost compared to gobo lighting. In order to verify the performance of freeform lens lighting with these advantages, we conducted an illuminance simulation. As a result, it was confirmed that it can replace gobo lighting because it has an illuminance distribution similar to the image we want to irradiate and a light efficiency of 47% similar to the performance of gobo lighting.

The present study investigated regional and sex differences in knowledge, perception, cognition and behavior of fine-dust protective masks for periods of high concentration of fine dust in Korea. A total of 2,012 adults from seven provinces responded to the questionnaire. The results (all p<.05) showed that 78% of respondents considered pollution from China to be the greatest contributor of fine dust. Seoul and Gyeonggi residents more frequently checked fine dust forecasts than other provinces and consulted their smartphone applications to do so more than other residents. Jeju, Gwangwon, and Jeonla residents had less knowledge of KF 80, 94, and 99 masks than residents of other provinces. Gwangwon and Jeju residents had less trust in the effectiveness of protective masks than other residents. Females perceived themselves as unhealthier respiratory, more frequently checked the concentration of fine dust, trusted more the effectiveness of masks, and more frequently wore masks, compared to male respondents. Those who self-identified their respiratory function as poor, more frequently checked fine dust forecasting, and had greater knowledge of masks, which resulted in greater trust in the protective function of masks, and finally had higher wear frequency of masks for days with high concentrations of fine dust.

This study conducted an online and offline survey of 210 people from March 11 to 27, 2021 for the purpose of investigating and analyzing the current status of skin stress recognition and beauty care behavior due to wearing masks. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 with Cronbach's α, Frequency Analysis, Chi-square test, and One way Anova. The average daily mask wearing time of more than 7 hours during the Covid-19 period was 43.8%, and skin stress recognition by wearing masks was highest among those in their 30s (M=4.27) and service workers (M=4.64), and those with acne and skin troubles (M=4.47) perceived high stress. The most important factor for home care treatment was cleansing(67.6%) and for beauty care was skin care(36.7%). Considerations factors on beauty care were 54.3% for service and customer care capabilities, and on body shape management method 45.7% for exercise. According to this study, respondents are recognizing skin stress due to the long-term use of masks, and home care treatment has been increasing as the esthetic salon has become unstable to visit due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

In this paper, digital ultra-narrowband Walky-Talky using direct conversion method for CQPSK modulation scheme is implemented with satisfying the requirements of APCO P25. RF transceiver design and implementation scheme that minimize the influence of DC-offset and AC-coupling at ultra-narrowband is proposed. This scheme also minimizes the influence of nonlinear characteristic at power amplifier fir CQPSK modulation method. Test results of full system including DSP module and direct conversion RF transceiver show that FCC emission mask at 36.8 dBm PEP meets the standard requirements. The characteristic of receiver AGC by PWM control signal is linear at 40 dB dynamic range and voice communication at input power level of -116 dBm is successful. Also it is verified that the performance of BER versus frequency offset and versus SNR meets the standard requirements.

Gutnori(ritual A Comparative Study on Shaman's Costume of south coast Byeolsingut in Korea and the Guizhou Nahui in China play) refers to a play in the form of showing actual appearance of god and actual comedic gag with gutguri rhythm. In order to carry out a comparison between the shaman's costume in Korea and China, this study will delve into the types of shaman costumes that are worn in the gutnoris(mask plays) performed in Korean guts and those of China performed in Nahui. As research method, literature reviews and field surveys have been conducted concurrently. In terms of literature reviews, previous research have been studied centrally. For field surveys, Korean gut, Byeolsingut performance was observed for 2 days 1 night between 1st Feb. 2014-2nd Feb. 2014 in the south coast and Chinese Nahui in Guizhou was observed for 2 days 1 night between 25th Nov. 2014-26th Nov. 2014. By comparing Shaman's costume that is worn in Korean shamanism with that of Chinese shamanism as a partial means of understanding the uniqueness of Korean shaman's costume, the following conclusion was derived upon focusing on the common types of gutnori costumes and organizing them. As a universal trait for shaman's costumes in gutnori and nahui in Korea and China, traditional clothing were worn. A unique trait for shaman's costume in gutnori and nahui in Korea and China, deity expressions were shown in both cases using colors.
Primitive men's primordial formative activity derives from incarnation contained in intensive vitality and strong creativity mind. The trend of modern fashion requiring the boundless imagination can be called that it, just, itself, has something in common with basic spiritual activity that primitive men had. What is concerning how modern fashion designers have developed formative language through enchanting primitive art is as follows. 1. The nature's mysterious power appears to be transformed into personified image. The incarnation for acquiring beauty, power, prestige of genius appears in the form of personification, making use of mask in modern fashion. 2. As for primitive men, the whole universe has a potentiality as a symbol. The symbolism of primitive art based on religion and myth appears in modern art as the form of presenting oppositional objects together in one space. 3. Primitive art is the purest form and the most unpolluted. This shows the natural quality being assimilated into nature, which is expressed in modern fashion as intensity, free-spirit, simplicity, etc. 4. The primitive men's anxiety to the outside world appears as impulse. The geometrical form of primitive art occurred in the shape of impulse appears in expressional form of modern fashion. 5. The real existence in primitive art inducing real materials and objects, in themselves, into formative world appears in modern art in the way of expression such as repetition, enlargement, exact reproduction.
The treatment of skeletal Class III malocclusion in adolescents is challenging. Maxillary protraction, particularly that using bone anchorage, has been proven to be an effective method for the stimulation of maxillary growth. However, the conventional procedure, which involves the surgical implantation of mini-plates, is traumatic and associated with a high risk. Three-dimensional (3D) digital technology offers the possibility of individualized treatment. Customized mini-plates can be designed according to the shape of the maxillary surface and the positions of the roots on cone-beam computed tomography scans; this reduces both the surgical risk and patient trauma. Here we report a case involving a 12-year-old adolescent girl with skeletal Class III malocclusion and midface deficiency that was treated in two phases. In phase 1, rapid maxillary expansion and protraction were performed using 3D-printed mini-plates for anchorage. The mini-plates exhibited better adaptation to the bone contour, and titanium screw implantation was safer because of the customized design. The orthopedic force applied to each mini-plate was approximately 400-500 g, and the plates remained stable during the maxillary protraction process, which exhibited efficacious orthopedic effects and significantly improved the facial profile and esthetics. In phase 2, fixed appliances were used for alignment and leveling of the maxillary and mandibular dentitions. The complete two-phase treatment lasted for 24 months. After 48 months of retention, the treatment outcomes remained stable.
