  • The purpose of this study was to look into the marketing strategies of social commerce companies by analyzing the relationships among the environment, strategy and performance in social commerce. For that, the environment condition and components of marketing strategy were derived based on the marketing mix by analyzing the related contents published in 3,783 articles on newspapers dated from April 2010 to March 2013. UV(Unique Visitor) and PV(Page View) for each social commerce site were used as surrogates for performance. The results of study revealed the relationship of the marketing strategies to the changes in environment conditions towards negative conditions such as the spread of buyer anxiety. In the "strategy-performance" relations, the product element and external sales promotion element had high correlation with the performance. Finally, a difference was found in the marketing strategies of social commerce companies. High correlation was found in all aspects between the UV and PV marketing elements in the case of Coupang, while the correlation with the UV was low and the environment also showed relatively low correlation level in the case of WEmakePRICE. Thus, this study is considered to provide useful basis for the social commerce companies to map out and implement the marketing strategies, and is significant in that it applied the marketing mix to the special market environment such as social marketing.

I will explore good operation and inducing investment methods GFEZ within the 4P(product, price, promotion, place) framework. I tried to suggest a new management methodology for the Free Economic Zones as suggested by the central government from the regional view point. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the marketing strategies; compare them to the 4P for deploying an actual more efficient governing structure body for the GFEZ. As proposals to promote and activate GFEZ, I recommended in this paper several benchmarks. First, GFEZ must construct good clusters related to regional strengths as they relate to products. Second; to give more flexible incentives to foreign companies as compared with China, England, Ireland, India, Malasia, Thailand and Vietnam using prices as a guideline. Third, it is required to cultivate expert manpower who can communicate with foreign clients relate to promotion. A proactive public information system is also required in addition to marketing strategies for inducing investment. Lastly, GFEZ needs to became independent and separate from the central government and even from regional province.

  • With shifting the paradigm to digital economy, the digital industry becomes one of the national strategic industries. The digital industry has not only significant effects on forward and backward related industries but is also creating its own value. Furthermore, the effects of conversion with diverse products also play an important role in adding value. Since the early 2000s, Korea's culture so called 'Hallyu' (Korean wave) has been spreading to neighboring Asian countries such as China, Japan, Hong Kong, Therefore we have a good opportunity to increase our competitiveness with the development of the digital content industry using various base resources in conjunction with the spread of Hallyu culture in the Southeast Asian region. In this paper we attempt to suggest several schemes to promote our exports of digital contents while analyzing the current status of the Korean digital industry and addressing some problems and barriers to the export of the digital content industry. There are several schemes to be proposed in order to promote Korean exports of digital contents, as follows: 1) to foster global digital contents, 2) to establish a supporting system, 3) to build a marketing and R&D center, 4) to operate a test-bed of digital contents and 5) to fund expenses such as marketing.

Therefore, it is necessary to make good use of marketing practically how tasting affects taste and leads to consumption behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - First, we provide tasting sampling for people with different impulsive purchasing tendencies and check whether this leads to purchasing behavior in the future. Second, it is necessary to measure 'face (or notion of courtesy)', which is a characteristic of Koreans, as a moderating variable for the effect of sampling. Third, it is proposed to look at how the effect of sampling appears differently over time. Results - First, it is necessary to pay attention to the factors influencing the sampling effect in the product group that cannot produce a tasting situation such as general food or beverage. Second, research results may not apply to all actual marketing. Conclusions - This study is judged to have contributed to resolving the question of whether the distribution store's tasting promotion is more effective and lasts longer than other promotions. It also suggested the possibility that the effect of tasting could be changed depending on whether the amount of tasting was limited or the subjects of tasting.

  • Purpose: This paper aims to investigate how self-regulatory focus (SRF) influences the relationship between perceived brand localness (PBL) and purchase intentions (PI). This research adopted both domestic and foreign-owned brands to examine the moderating effect of self-regulatory orientations and product types respectively to exclude the interference of brand origin. Research design, data, and methodology: This study surveyed Chinese consumers and collected data using social media applications. ANOVA analysis and PROCESS modeling were adopted to complete the empirical analysis. Results: This research demonstrates that brand origin does not inhibit the positive impact of PBL on purchase intentions regardless of whether it originates from mainland China or not. Study 1 proved that the effect of PBL on PI is more convincing among consumers with promotion focus orientations. In study 2, higher purchase intentions were found for hedonic perceived local brands among promotion-focused consumers while significant preferences were found for utilitarian perceived local brands among prevention-focused consumers. Conclusions: This research complements the literature about the potential psychological factors influencing PBL and contributes to marketers in developing effective marketing strategies and appropriate positioning decisions. Overall, this study has important theoretical and managerial contributions to international marketing, particularly in the context of the current recession.
