현재의 웹 환경은 HTML로 구성이 되어있으며 이로 인해 하이퍼링크를 따라가기 위해 마우스 클릭을 통해 작업하는 GUI 환경이 주를 이룬다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 인간이 가장 손쉽게 사용하는 음성과 비교해 볼 때 상당히 불편한 축에 속한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 현재 무르익은 음성인식/합성 기술과 전화기를 통해 정보를 제공하고자 하는 XML의 파생언어인 VoiceXML을 이용하여, 현재의 HTML주축인 GUI 웹 환경을 VoiceXML을 이용하여 VUI(Voice User Interface) 환경으로 전환해 주는 VoiceXML VUI Browser를 설계/구현하였다.

We report the readout stability improvement results of super-resolution near field structure (Super-RENS) writeonce read-many (WORM) disk at a blue laser optical system. (Laser wavelength 405nm, numerical aperture 0.85) By using diffusion barrier structure (GeSbTe sandwiched by GeN) and high transition temperature recording material ($BaTiO_3$), material diffusion of phase change layer and recording mark degradation were greatly improved during high power (Pr=2.0mW) readout process up to $1{\times}10^5$ times.

현재는 HTML(Hypertext MarkUp Language) 기반의 웹 페이지가 가장 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 사용자의 요구는 갈수록 높아져 2차원의 HTML로서는 표현하지 못하는 3차원 세계의 구현을 갈구하고 있다. 그래서 탄생한 것이 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)이며 현재 ISO 표준안으로 지정되어 있다. 사용자는 VRML로서 3차원 세계를 구현할 수 있지만, 가상세계의 규모가 커지고 복잡해지면서 문서편집기만으로 구축하기는 거의 불가능하다. 이런 이유로, 기존의 저작도구가 출현하게 되었고, 사용자에게 많은 편이를 제공하였다. 하지만, 이것 역시 몇 가지 문제점 (객체 설계 능력, VRML에 관한 지식 숙지, 일반 사용자에게 부담되는 비용) 때문에 VRML의 대중화를 방해되는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 그러므로 앞에서 제시한 문제점을 개선하기 위해, 사용자가 복잡한 가상객체를 디자인하는 것이 아니라 웹에서 이미 디자인된 객체와 개인자료를 합성하게 함으로써 일반 사용자에게 부담을 크게 줄일 수 있는 새로운 방법으로 개발했다. 그러므로, 본 논문은 인터넷 사용자라면 누구나 쉽게 가상공간을 제작할 수 있는 웹 기반의 저작도구인 WVRAT(Web based Virtual Reality Authoring Tool)의 설계 및 구현에 대해 기술한다.

Wind tunnel tests were conducted on a model of deck section from the Ting Kau cable stayed bridge. The purpose of the tests was to determine the set of aerodynamic derivatives conventionally used to describe the motion-induced forces arising from the wind flow, and to investigate the stability of the deck under different conditions of turbulence and angle of attack. The study shows that except for large negative angles of attack the deck section itself is stable up to a high wind speed, and that when instability does occur it is essentially a single degree of freedom (torsional) flutter.

Up to now, surgeons have operated while peering at images which visualize the medical state of the patient such as MRI or CT images. On the other hand, direct-projected augmented reality technology liberates surgeons from the inconvenience by directly projecting medical information onto the patient's body. However surgeons still feel inconvenient when they mark surgical targets for planning an operation because they use an ink pen which is difficult to modify or delete and is also likely to be unsanitary. In this paper, we resolve these problems by proposing an interactive user interface based on direct-projected augmented reality technology and its validity is shown in experimental results.

News contents, produced for paper readers, are more and more being used online instead of offline. Internet sites, expecially portals(naver, daum, nate etc.) are dominant marketplaces, where news are exchanged and values are added. So, establishing a new online news service system, which can satisfy news provider(copyright owner) and internet service provider together, is a necessary task under current online-dominant news service environment. UCI(Universal & Ubiquitous Content Identifier) and IPTC NewsML(News Mark-up Language) are considered as useful standards to compromise protection of news-copyright and enhancement of online use of news contents. This study is based on a real case of 'NewsBank' in korea, We expect that this study can show an inspiration to obtain two contradictory goals of copyright protection and free online use of copyright.

사용자에게 다양한 웹 서비스를 쉽고, 간편하게 제공하기 위한 연구가 계속되고 있다. 사용자가 요구하는 필요한 정보를 제공하기 위하여 웹용 마크업 언어인 XML이 개발되었고, 사용자들이 서비스를 효율적으로 이용할 수 있도록 UDDI 레지스트리에 WSDL을 사용하여 서비스를 정의하여 제공하고 있다. SOAP프로토콜은 전송 매카니즘으로 HTTP를 사용하기 때문에 방화벽 양단에서 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 는 사용자의 요구에 정확하고, 신속한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 마켓플레이스에 에이전트를 설치하고 SOAP을'통하여 서비스 제공자와 UDDI, 그리고 에이전트 사이의 통신을 담당하게 하였다.

Massive early-type galaxies (ETG) have been spectroscopically confirmed up to z>3 which, together with their ages and abundances at z>1.5, implies that their progenitors must have converted gas into stars on short timescales. The termination of star formation in these galaxies can occur through several channels, but they remain largely conjectural, in part due to the current lack of direct measurements of the amount of residual gas in high redshift ETGs. Here I will present constraints on the star formation rate and dust/gas content of z=1.4-2.5 ETGs. These galaxies, close to their epoch of quenching, contained more than 2 orders of magnitude more dust than their local counterparts, which suggests the presence of substantial amounts of gas and a low star formation efficiency.

Urban is more intelligent continuously with the help of the convergence with IT technology. And it requires an integrated control system, which can manage urban facilities or monitor large-scale events based on GIS data, to provide its citizen with various ubiquitous services such as u-Health, u-Traffic, context-awareness etc. In order to realize the intelligent city geo-sensors that have the functionalities of generic sensing as well as location awareness will be established everywhere in the near future. Our system we presented have a rule engine to handle a atomic event as well as complex events that contain control flow or branch among them. And it can allow for visualization and monitoring the results through KML (Keyhole Mark-up Language) in the Google Maps. This paper describes au-GIS event processing system that can deal effectively with u-GIS events coming from various geo-sensor data in ubiquitous computing environments.
