수치해석을 통한 건설중장비 유압시스템용 파이프설계에 대한 연구 (Pipe Design for Hydraulic System in Construction Heavy Equipment by Numerical Analysis)

  • We herein propose a systematic design method of hydraulic pipes used in heavy construction equipment. We found that even though many design studies have been conducted regarding major hydraulic components such as pumps, cylinders, and control valves, studies regarding the optimal design of hydraulic pipes are scarce. In this study, the design of four types of pipes is considered: two high-pressure and two low-pressure pipes. First, fluid flow analysis was conducted based on oil flow and pressure for various radii of curvature. For a check-valve pipe, we considered the location of an inlet pipe. We could visualize fluid flow inside the pipe according to the flow velocity and pressure distribution. Based on fluid flow analysis, we conducted a structural analysis that revealed the stress distribution and concentration for each pipe design. We selected the best design parameters for each pipe design, fabricated the pipes, and subsequently tested them for validity.

  • The behavior of the injection system was determined through FFT and PSD analysis of the pressure data of the common rail, and when the diesel fuel is mixed with water, the pressure data of the common rail, depending on the water content and engine rotation speed, represent a different frequency component distribution. Recently, a theory has been suggested that mixing diesel fuel with water controls engine overheating, fuel efficiency, NOx, CO, etc., but if water content exceeds 10%, it can have a fatal adverse effect on the engine's injection system. In the future, it is necessary to promote fault diagnosis and prediction studies of diesel engines using FFT and PSD results from common rail pressure data.

  • A concrete docking hose of pump car's boom pipe line have been used in many construction sites. They are long structures with continuous cornering, similar to a trunk of the elephant, characterized by a very high pressure resistance of 20MPa. They need flexible materials and structure in order to move the hose smoothy. But commercial concrete hose is hard to handle and heavy owing to adaption of steel reinforcement. In this study, it is tried an experimental approach to the characteristic of inner rubber layer and abrasion resistance. Also, we are investigated the bursting pressure according to the reinforcement of the hose and propose the usefulness of the hose reinforced with high strengthened aramid fiber.

서브필터 형상에 따른 Oil-mist Filter의 포집효율 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Collecting Efficiency of Oil-mist Filter according to the Sub-filter Shape)

  • Cooking oil in kitchen-fog is the most harmful factor to the health of a cook. The proposed filter is a tool that protects the cooked state, to prevent users from inhaling oil mist in the kitchen. Due to efficiency issues, existing filters are of the mesh type or baffle type. In this paper, CFD analysis is carried out to select a filter with low pressure loss and low efficiency, and to attach the sub-filter to improve efficiency. The results of the analysis on the collection efficiency and pressure loss of three sub-filters, i.e., circle type, droplet type, and cone type, showed that the collection efficiency was 64.09% and the pressure loss was 1.26 mmAq when the circle type sub-filter was applied. The position of the sub-filter showed the best efficiency and pressure loss when it was located at the bottom of the center of the gap of the main filter.

해양 구조물용 공조덕트 유동 및 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow and Structural Analysis in an Air Conditioning Duct for Marine Offshore)

  • This study concerns the distributions of flow in an air conditioning duct used for a marine and oil drilling ship. From the results of carrying out flow analysis and structural analysis of a ventilation duct applied to a marine structure, the following conclusion could be gained. The pressure tended to increase as the flow velocity at the inlet increased and the pressure at the inlet increased. It was recognized that the pressure decreased due to the influence of a corrugated tube when it entered and exited from the duct. As a result of structural analysis, a higher train was generated at the corrugated tube compared with the duct. In addition, in the case of the internal pressure of 0.7MPa, which was the designed load, it was found that there was almost no influence as it was within 0.1mm.

  • The optimal strain energy function was obtained by comparing the results of the analysis using the strain energy functions obtained by uniaxial tensile and equibiaxial tensile tests on gasket materials used in hydrogen fuel cells, with the results measured using a contact pressure measurement sensor. At this time, even when only the uniaxial tensile test was conducted, Yeoh could obtain the most accurate results even by conducting only the uniaxial tensile test. Using this, an analysis of the cross section of the gasket used in stack confirmed a safe contact pressure and no deformation on the separator. In the future, research will be conducted to verify the gasket durability by reliability evaluation.

양면 마이크로 패턴 차량용 후육 라이트 가이드의 사출성형 패턴 전사성에 관한 연구 (Study of injection molded pattern transferability of double-sided micro-patterned automotive thick light guides)

  • In this study, we investigated the injection molding technology of thick-walled light guides, which are parts that control the light source of automotive lamps. Through injection molding analysis, the gate position that can minimize product shrinkage and deformation was selected, and a mold reflecting the analysis results was manufactured to evaluate the effect of injection speed and holding pressure on transferability during micro-pattern molding through experiments. When designing an injection mold for products with varying thicknesses, it was found that installing the gate on the side of the thicker part was advantageous for reducing volume shrinkage and deformation. It was found that the effect of shrinkage due to thickness may be greater than the position of the gate on pattern transferability. The pattern transfer error decreased as the injection speed and holding pressure increased, and it was found that increasing the injection speed was relatively effective.

  • This study reports on the pressure relief design and braided composite of surge arrester. Surge arresters with porcelain housing must not have explosive breakage of the housing to minimize damage to other equipment when subjected to internal high short circuit current. As a solution, this study describes pressure relief design performance of arresters with braided composite module. In general, braided composite has Potential for improved impact and delamination resistance. Manufacturing processes of the braided composite could also be automated and could potentially lead to lower costs. Therefore, in consideration of characteristics of pressure relief for polymer arrester, the fabric pattern of braided composite was decided. And Polymer arrester module was manufactured with braid. The mechanisms of pressure occurrence and relief were investigated basically by analyzing arc energy and the correlation between thermal shock and indoor pressure in pressure relief test.
