선박 엔진용 고압 3/2-Way 밸브의 유동특성 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristic of High Pressure 3/2-Way Valve for a Ship Engine)

  • The 3/2-way valve supplies the high pressure air to ship engine for starting engine. In this paper, the high pressure 3/2 way valve for ship engine has the goal as reverse engineering by searching the fluid characteristic at this valve. The reverse engineering of 3/2-way valve is measured directly by Verier-calipers and is compared with 3D scanner. The fluid characteristic in this valve is used for a simulation method by ANSYS CFX 12.1. On the contrary, discs and the shaft are as the important components on numerical simulation by controlling the air flow at this valve. The fluid characteristics are seen to make high velocity and complicated vortex around the shaft. And the flow coefficient is calculated in order to apply for industrial field.

캔드타입 전동워터펌프용 수중베어링의 특성분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Underwater Bearing for Canned-Type Electric Water Pump)

  • This paper presents characteristic analysis of underwater bearing for canned type electric water pump. Characteristic analysis of underwater bearing was performed using self-developed performance tester, which capable of torque change, noise change, motor speed change and abrasion loss test with respect to temperature change of underwater bearing. The performance tester can be monitored in real time by designing the control unit using the Labview program. The performance experiment was performed through comparison of the silicon carbide (SIC) and the carbon bearing. From the experiment results, performance of SIC bearing was better than carbon bearing at the abrasion and temperature experiment.

레이저 빔에 의한 박판금속의 강화특성 (Characteristics of Strengthening for Thin Metals by Laser Beam)

  • The general way to process the surface by means of the laser was heat treatment for strengthening the surface hardness. They have used the laser for changing the property of the surface, especially for metal. Generally, it is recent increasing tendency to use the thin plate panel for making things smaller and lightweight. However, thin plate should be strengthened or let the thin plate panel have moment of inertia by means of engraving the groove or wave on them for lightweight and strengthening. Therefore it is expected that the thin plate panel can be harder and more stable through processing the metal surface by laser beam irradiation and the hardness of thin plate possibly can be also changed how many parts of them are harden. Through this research, it can be grasped how the hardness and mechanical characteristic changes according to width and depth of groove by laser affect the max stress by the ratio of $A_H/A_T$ (hardening area/total area) and characteristic of displacement and structural characteristic for making the thin plate harder by the strengthening metal surface of thin plate by laser through the experiment and analysis of FEA can be presented.

  • This paper deals with thermal characteristic analysis of induction motors for machine tool spindle for motion error prediction. Firstly, the inverse design of general induction motors for machine tool spindle has been performed by design principles. Characteristics considering VVVF inverter of induction motors were analyzed. Secondary, power loss and thermal characteristics of induction motors analyzed by equivalent thermal resistance model from Motor-CAD S/W. To develop a second-order fitted power-loss distribution model for the constant-torque operating range of the induction motor, we employed the design of experiment and response surface methodology techniques. Finally, the analysis results were experimentally verified, and the validity of the proposed analysis method was confirmed.

Nb/Ni Clad 전극을 이용한 고효율 CCFL 개발 (Development of CCFL with Nb/Ni Gad Electrode for high efficiency)

  • According as CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent lamp) of light source in Backlight unit for Note PC (Personal computer) is presently needed to low power consumption and long life time, the development focus of CCFL is going on the discharge gas, phosphor and electrode material. First of all, discharge voltage characteristic of CCFL is closely connected with electrode material For low discharge voltage, the characteristic of electrode material is needed to low work function, low sputtering ratio and superior manufacturing property. We developed new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode superior to conventional CCFL. Because Nb/Ni Clad electrode with Ni material and Nb material, the electrical characteristic is superior to other electrode materials. The electrode of Nb/Ni Clad is composed that Ni of outside material has superior manufacturing property and Nb of inside material has low work function. Nb/Ni Clad of new electrode material is made by process of Rolling mill at high pressure and heat treatment. We compared electrical characteristic of Nb/Ni clad electrode with conventional Mo electrode by measurement. Mo electrode and Nb/Ni Clad electrode of cup type with diameter 1.1 mm and length 3.0mm are used to this experiment. Material content of Mo electrode is Mo 100%. But, Nb/Ni Clad electrode is composed by content of Nb 40% and Ni 60%. The result of comparison measurement between new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode and conventional CCFL was appeared that CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode had superior characteristic than conventional CCFL. As a result of experiment, we completed Note PC with low power consumption and long life time by application of new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode.

금속 3D 프린팅으로 보수된 AISI H13 금형강 마모특성 평가 (Evaluation of Wear Characteristics of AISI H13 Tool Steel Repaired by Metal 3D Printing)

  • In hot forming process, the dies in which excessive worn or crack occurs is reused after repair. Generally hot forming dies are recycled through a welding repair method. Welding repair methods are highly dependent on the skills of engineer. It causes process defects such as dimensional defects and structural defects. Recently, the metal 3D printing method has been applied to the repair of used dies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the wear characteristics of AISI H13 tool steel repaired by 3D printing method. Three kinds of wear specimens were fabricated by using 3D printing, welding, and initial material. A pin-on-disk wear test was carried out to evaluate the wear characteristics. From the result of wear test, the wear characteristics of 3D printing method was superior to that of the welded material, and was similar to that of the initial material.

  • 공동주택의 비약적인 공급과 함께 욕조가 우리 생활이 밀접한 생활필수품으로 자리매김하고 있으나 연구가 매우 미진한 분야라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 욕조 분야에 오랫동안 종사자로서 암묵지를 형식지 화를 위한 실증사례연구이다. 욕조는 여러 요인으로 재질의 종류가 다르게 발전하고 있으며 그 내용을 주제로 특성을 도출해 보고자 한다. 욕조는 제조, 주택구조, 유통과정 등에 따라 욕조 재질별로 특성을 보이고 있다. 첫째, 수출입이 어려워 현지생산제품이라는 것이다. 두 번째는 습식, 건식 등 주택건축구조에 따라 다르다. 셋째로 제조업과 유통업 등 업종과 관련하여 다르다. 네번째 국가별로 다름을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구자료가 욕조 연구에 초석이 되길 바라며 관계자에게 유용하길 바란다.

Gas 이송용 Utility Materials의 전해연마 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Electro-Polishing and Utility Materials for Gas Transitting)

  • Many kinds of gases, such as erosion gas, dilution gas, and toxic gas have been used in manufacturing process of LCD at semiconductor. In order to increase accumulation rate of manufacturing process, high degree of purity in these gases and minimized metalllic dust are required. All wetted stainless steel surface must be 316L electro-polished with $0254{\mu}m$ in average. Based on the AES analysis, Cr/Fe 11 and $Cr_2O_3$ thickness $25{\AA}$ are measured Molybdenum and silicon contaminants which is characteristic of stainless steel and oxygen were found on the surface.

선삭가공에서의 테이퍼 홈 절삭특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cutting Characteristic of Tapered Groove in Turning)

  • In recently, it is demanded development of manufacturing techniques for machining of various mechanical parts. Therefore the development of turning is one of the important manufacturing techniques. In this study, an experimental shape in tapered groove turning was suggested, and the turning process was investigated by analyzing cutting speed, feed rate, tapered angle, depth of cut. The surface roughness and cutting force change in the workpiece was measured. From the results, the optimum machining conditions are obtained by design of experiments.
