등산로(登山路) 관리상태(管理狀態)에 대한 구간별(區間別) 중요도(重要度)-성취도(成就度) 분석결과(分析結果)의 비교(比較) (Importance-Performance Analysis on Managerial Conditions of Trails by Trail Section)

  • 본 연구에서는 무등산 도립공원 내 등산로 상태에 대한 구간별 중요도-성취도 분석(IPA: Importance-Performance Analysis)결과를 비교하였다. 또한, 구간별 IPA 결과와 구간별 구분없이 각 등산로 구간에서 수집된 자료를 총괄적으로 분석하는 전반적 조사방법의 IPA 결과를 비교함으로써 IPA를 위한 전반적 조사방법의 이용타당성을 검진하였다. 데이터 수집은 2000년도 9월중 무등산 도립공원 내에 위치한 4개의 등산로구간을 대상으로 현지설문조사를 통하여 이루어졌으며, 총 258명의 조사대상자가 본 연구의 분석을 위하여 이용되었다. 중요도-성취도분석 결과, 선정된 총 26개 등산로 관리속성 중 23개 속성(88.5%)이 적어도 1개 등산로구간 이상에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 4개 등산로구간을 통합하여 산출한 전반적인 IPA 결과도 마찬가지로 23개 속성(88.5%)에서 각 등산로구간의 IPA 결과와 적어도 1개 등산로구간 이상에서 동일하지 않은 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구 결과는 IPA를 활용하여 등산로 관리전략을 결정할 경우, 전 등산로를 대상으로 한 총체적 조사보다는 등사로 구간별 분할조사의 필요성을 시사하고 있다.

종합병원 간호관리자의 간호관리역량 요구도 분석 (Need analysis for managerial competencies of nurse managers in general hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the needs for the managerial competencies of nurse managers in general hospitals. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used. The participants were 203 nurse managers, 141 head nurses or unit managers, and 62 directors or team managers from 17 general hospitals. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire with 42 nursing management competencies and 181 behavioral indicators. Participants rated the importance and performance of each indicator. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test, independent t-test, importance-performance analysis, Borich's needs assessment model, and locus for focus model. Results: In all 42 competencies, importance was rated significantly higher than performance. The head nurses or unit managers had high demands for "human resource development," "performance management," and "information management," while the directors or team managers had high demands for "change management." Competencies in high demand in both groups were "development of nursing standards" and "self-management." Conclusion: Based on the results, it is necessary to select priorities and prepare educational content when developing educational programs to strengthen the nursing management competencies of general hospitals' nurse managers.

The Differential Impacts of 'Communication'and 'Computing' Functions in Smartphones on Individuals' Performance and the Moderating Role of Organizational Roles

  • This study investigated the antecedents and the performance impact of two types of Smartphone functions (communication vs. computing functions) in organizational environment and the moderating impact of Smartphone users' organizational roles. More specifically, identifying two distinct types of Smartphone functions such as communication functions and computing functions (including informational, social network, and resource management functions), we investigated the impact of three antecedents (Smartphone dependency, task mobility, and perceived critical mass) on the use of the two Smartphone functions and how organizational workers' perceived performance gains differ by using these two different Smartphone functions for their workplace activities. We tested our hypotheses with survey data collected from 176 organizational workers. Our findings suggest that Smartphone dependency, task mobility and perceived critical mass of Smartphone use are significantly associated with the use of the two different functions, and that the use of computing functions is more strongly associated with perceived performance gain than the use of communication functions. We also found that managerial roles played by individual workers differently moderate the impact of Smartphone use on perceived performance gain. The present findings enable researchers and practitioners to better understand the impact of Smartphone use in workplaces.

일본의 공립병원 경영개혁을 통한 시사점 고찰 (Innovation of Public Hospitals in Japan and Its Implications for Korea)

  • This study purports to learn the lessons from the managerial innovation of Japanese public hospitals. The performance of three innovation strategies of Japanese public hospitals, such as managerial efficiency, restucturing and networking, and rearrnagement of governance and ownership, were analyzed and its implications for Korea were discussed. Based upon it, several strategies for improving the performance of Korean public hospitals, were suggested.

  • Due to the rise of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) adoption in many fields, it is necessary to diagnose the informatization situations of corporations in agriculture and give suggestions for improvement. For this goal, surveys were designed and conducted to understand the current informatization situations of agriculture corporations in Korea. The survey covers the plan for utilizing information technology, the establishment of infrastructure for information technology, IT application status, and its effect on their performance. The specific focus of our research is to segment the corporations by their type of industries and their level of sales and give differentiated managerial implications for each segment. This is because the type of informatization and information technology assistance they need highly depends on their industry type and sales level. Effects of Advertising Campaign on the Salesperson's Performance: Should a Multilevel Marketing Firm Advertise Its Brand to Customers?

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore how advertising for multilevel marketing brands affect the salesperson's activity including customer-salesperson interactivity, work attitude, and perceived and actual performance after the campaign. Research Design, data, and methodology - This study collects experimental data, survey data, and actual sales data and applies statistical analyses such as factor analysis, t-tests, and a structural equation model. Results - The results show that advertising campaign can enhance a salesperson's selling activities and provide wide managerial implications to a multilevel marketing firm by filling the gaps for the field of advertising research. Conclusions - Managerial implications include: i) multilevel marketing firms should consider advertising campaigns as a means of changing customer responses because advertising plays a significant role in increasing familiarity with, and knowledge of, attitudes toward the brand, which also helps salespeople interact with customers; ii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to support the sales activities of salespeople including sales effectiveness, work attitudes, and perceived performance, and iii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to enhance a salesperson's pride and motivation for selling their brand, which will lead to improved sales performances.

An ANP-Based Performance Model for ERP System's Implementation

  • This paper addresses a performance evaluation model for ERP system's implementation using Analytic Network Process (ANP) technique. In this study, the performance variables are identified as the perspectives of cost, business process, systems operation, and change management, respectively. The empirical study also investigated factors that affect the performance variables to find out the causal relationship between them using the ANP approach. The data for the empirical analysis were collected from manufacturing companies that have implemented ERP systems. The research findings indicate the proposed model is powerful in proposing that the indirect relationship between influencing factors and managerial effectiveness, mediated by employee satisfaction, is an important one.

자산매각의 가치창출 효과: 매각기업과 매수기업의 비교분석 (A Study on the Wealth of Seller and Buyer in Asset Sales)

  • 본 연구는 2000년부터 2007년 말까지 일본의 상장제조기업 중에서 자산을 매각한 기업과 그것을 구입한 기업을 대상으로 자산매각의 경제적 성과를 측정하고 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 사건연구 방법에 의한 분석결과, 자산매각 공시전후의 단기간에는 매각기업의 경우 양(+)의 초과 수익률을 얻었지만, 매수기업의 주주의 손익에는 변화가 없었다. 하지만, 같은 자산을 매각한 기업과 매수한 기업만을 분석한 결과 매각기업과 매수기업의 초과수익률은 유의한 양(+)이며 합동 초과수익률 또한 유의한 양(+)으로 나타났으므로 자산매각은 기업가치를 증가시키는 거래라고 결론지을 수 있다. 기업성과와 재무적 특성과의 횡단면회귀분석의 결과를 보면, 매각기업의 공시효과와 ROA, 부채는 유의적인 양(+)의 관계를 갖고 있고, 매수기업의 공시효과는 부채, 외국인 주주비율과 유의적인 양(+)을 보였지만 기업규모와는 유의적인 양(-)의 관계를 나타냈다. 그 외의 토빈의 q와 임원주주비율, 은행주주비율은 중요한 요인이 되지 못하고 있다.

창업가 역량 특성이 창업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 창업지원제도 매개효과 중심으로 (The Effects of Entrepreneur Competence Characteristics on Start-Up Performance: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of the Start-Up Support System)

  • 창업의 중요성에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 인생의 진로를 창업으로 결정하는 예비 창업가들이 점진적으로 많아지고 있다. 하지만 창업 실패율은 여전히 높고, 창업성과가 미비하여 질적인 수준은 매우 낮다. 이에 본 연구에서는 창업가 역량특성, 창업지원제도에 대한 관심을 가지고, 창업성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실증 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 8월 1일부터 8월30일까지 전라북도의 7년 미만 창업가를 대상으로 361개의 유효데이터를 수집하여 SPSS 21.O, AMOS 21을 통해 연구검증에 활용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 창업가 역량특성(기업가적 역량, 관리적 역량)이 창업지원제도에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 기술적 역량은 유의미한 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창업가 역량(기업가 역량, 관리적 역량, 기술적 역량)이 창업성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 결과가 증명되었다. 단, 기업가적 역량은 창업성과에 음(-)의 유의미한 영향을 미치는 의미 있는 결과가 나왔다. 셋째, 창업지원제도는 창업성과에 정(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 창업지원제도는 기업가적 역량과 창업성과 사이에 매개 효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 시사점은 창업기업들의 창업성과를 높이기 위해서는 창업가 역량 함양이 중요한 요인이라는 것을 증명하였다. 또한 창업지원제도 활용은 직 간접적으로 창업 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소임을 실증연구를 통해 증명하였으며, 적극적으로 창업 지원 및 활용하는 것이 창업성과를 높이기 위해서는 반드시 필요한 부분이라는 것을 증명하였다.

종합병원의 의료서비스 품질수준과 경영성과 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Medical Service Quality and Managerial Performance in General Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse statistically the relation between medical service quality and managerial performance. And then the way of analysis is the regression analysis that independent variable is service quality, dependent variable is the volume of revenue, the number of patients and the rate of beds utility, and dummy variable is the number of beds, ownership and region. The sample hospitals were the 113 hospitals on general hospitals more than 300beds which were consisted of 20 public hospitals, 41 corporate hospitals and 52 college hospitals, and also distributed 67 hospitals on big city and 46 hospitals other city. The sample hospitals were selected from the Korean Hospital Association and the data of the year 2003 and 2004. The collected data was analyzed using the SPSSWIN 10.0 version, and the study hypothesis was tested using regression analysis. The findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, as a result of analysing hypothesis 1. In the study of the relationship between the service quality and the revenue, it was verified that the more service quality in last year became the more revenue in the year. But the dummy variable, ownership and region, rarely related to hospital revenue. Therefore it means that the more service quality is connected to the more revenue on the large number of beds hospitals. Second, as a result of analysing hypothesis 2 & 3. In the study of the relationship between the service quality and the number of patients, it was verified that the more service quality in last year became the more outpatients in the year. But there was no verified to inpatients. It seems to be the reason why a hospital has operated the fixed number of beds approved by the public office. So there are no free to expand beds according to the number of inpatients as much as inpatients are increasing. Third, as a result of analysing hypothesis 4 & 5. In the study of the relationship between the service quality and the rate of beds utility, it was verified that the more service quality in last year became the shorter of average stay of length in the year. Especially it has influenced much more on a hospital which was the large number of beds, the corporate and the college, but the region. But it was denied that the more service quality became the more the beds turnover. As a result of this study, it shows that the service quality in the last year has importantly influenced on a hospital managerial performance in the year. Estimating the service quality of each hospital, most patients have selected the hospital they want. And the hospital need to keep the number of patients for the proper management. So this result of the study means that a hospital must improve the service quality for keeping efficient management.
