As interest in big data has increased recently, NoSQL, a solution for storing and processing big data, is getting attention. NoSQL supports high speed, high availability, and high scalability, but is limited in areas where data integrity is important because it does not support multiple row transactions. To overcome these drawbacks, many studies are underway to support multiple row transactions in NoSQL. However, existing studies have a disadvantage that the number of transactions that can be processed per unit of time is low and performance is degraded. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement a multi-row transaction system for data integrity in big data environment based on HBase, a column-based NoSQL which is widely used recently. The multi-row transaction system efficiently performs multi-row transactions by adding columns to manage transaction information for every user table. In addition, it controls the execution, collision, and recovery of multiple row transactions through the transaction manager, and it communicates with HBase through the communication manager so that it can exchange information necessary for multiple row transactions. Finally, we performed a comparative performance evaluation with HAcid and Haeinsa, and verified the superiority of the multirow transaction system developed in this paper.

This study aimed at comprehending the duty, role, and difficulty of intermediary manager through in-depth investigation of dental hygienist intermediary managers experienced over 10 years working in a dental clinic. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 dental intermediary managers and Giorgi's analysis method was used to analyze the data. Findings revealed that the work experience of the dental hygienist intermediary managers appeared in the range of "becoming an intermediary manager through various processes", "various duties that they experience as an intermediary manager", "difficulty as an intermediary manager", "ability that they perceive as necessary for being a dental intermediary manager", and "worthiness they feel as the intermediary manager". The dental intermediary managers complained of difficulties at work, and appeared to perform various tasks such as human resource management, clinic management support, and patient's management. Accordingly, the researcher considers that research on dental intermediary managers' capacity development necessary.

Although the concept of viewing knowledge as a critical resource has been widely accepted in prior studies, it is not fully understood how to acquire available knowledge in order to improve organizational effectiveness. However, it si sure that organizational knowledge management should pursuit the achievement of the business goal by delivering relevant and useful information to the right person at the right time. Group Support System (GSS) can play an important role to transfer scatter information into meaningful business knowledge for supporting strategic corporate decision-making. This study proposes a fuzzy GSS framework for acquiring workgroup knowledge from individual memory and aggregating workgroup knowledge to organizational knowledge. This study also proposes an architecture to support the fuzzy GSS framework. The architecture consists of user agents, information management agents, and a fuzzy model manager. To illustrate how the fuzzy GSS framework can be used to support the whole process of organization knowledge acquisition, an Internet-based GSS was developed and applied in a marketing decision process. It showed that the framework was effective for acquiring organizational knowledge.

Purpose - We examine the marginal value of cash in Korean retail firms, largely unexamined in literature. The marginal value of cash plays pivotal role in cash management policy; especially, a significantly low marginal cash value indicates substantial manager-shareholder conflicts. Research design, data, and methodology - We estimate marginal cash values by adopting the approach of Faulkender & Wang (2006). The sample of retail firms traded in Korean Stock Exchange from 1991 to 2013 is analyzed. Results - We estimate the marginal value of cash for the retail firms as 0.75, implying significant manager-shareholder conflicts. We find a lower marginal value of cash for financially constrained retail firms, contradicting existing theories. The marginal value of cash increases substantially after 2000s, suggesting severe agency conflicts in 1990s as a key reason behind our findings. Conclusions - Our findings support the substantial resource diversion problem in Korean firms and the agency theory of cash management policy. Our results argue against the widely accepted view focusing on implications of financial constraints, which highlights a need of new cash management theory.

A spatial index is necessary to support an efficient search in a geographical information system (GIS) that is important in these days. In this paper, we design and implement a geographical data manager, called GOOD (Geo-object Oriented Data Manager) 2.0, by extending GOOD 1.0 with a spatial index processing module. That is, R-tree and R*-tree are used as a spatial index in this paper to make an efficient search possible. In addition, this paper conducts a performance evaluation to measure the improvement in search efficiency and analyzes the results of the performance evaluation. When the performance evaluation is carried out, we consider various environment factors to allow an GIS administrator to use the results as a basic data in selecting an appropriate spatial index.

Nowadays, because IT market expansion and complexity has been progressing and competition has intensified, there is a growth of information system building industries having difficulty through traditional business management methods. A survey was conducted among site personnel (Project Manager PM and Project Participants) to generate an institutional framework to efficiently manage this and project management process support. Through this, the importance of element technology and fragility of software development project management must be understood and an improvement of the element technology must be generated. By using this, a very relevant result that presented a logical basis was obtained in the decision making of the importance of project management and the role of overall project manager and core project management fields.

An analysis method of trajectory prediction has been suggested and the developed trajectory prediction module, which is an important functional component of the Arrival Manager (AMAN) of Jeju airport, has been tested by applying the suggested method. The objective of this method is to improve prediction performance of the trajectory prediction module. The trajectory prediction module predicts the trajectories based on the real-time track data and flight plans. Therefore, the suggested analysis method includes the simulation framework which is based on real-time playback, recording, and graphic display systems for testing. Besides, the definition of time error, which is a important index for the time based scheduling system, such as AMAN, is included in the suggested analysis method. An example of arrival time prediction accuracy improvement through the suggested analysis method has also been presented.

Also prevents the instability of the food supply and which follows in global environment change, respects the stable supply of the foodstuffs which is safe from the agriculture and Fisheries support of the nation is necessary. Consequently proposed the military service substitution institutional plan for the agriculture fishery successor.

This study was conducted to contribute to propose the improvement by looking into the use of private forest support system and then analyzing the status of support system and problems among forest owners. The study result showed that the recognition of private forest support system was 57.8% in sincere forest managers and 47.6% in forest successors, but only 17.6% in forest owner. The application experience was 79.2% in sincere forest managers, and 58.6% in forest successors, but 28.6% in forest owner which was significantly low as was shown in the recognition. Response on 'not knowing the support system' as the reason they were not able to ask for support was 36.1%, 43.0%, 78.6% in sincere forest managers, forest successors, and forest owner respectively in that order, which were the same results with the recognition. In the contrast, the effects of support for private forest management were higher in forest owner than sincere forest managers and forest successors, and overall level of satisfaction was also 28.5% in sincere forest managers and 36.8% in forest successors and 41.5% in forest owner. It turned out that forest owner who had somewhat low numbers of application had rather high satisfaction on overall management. Therefore, in order to attract active forest management from forest owner who take up most of forest owners in South Korea, the recognition on private forest support system is needed to improve and the local government and the Forestry Association should come up with active plans for public relations and support.

In order to meet the different requirements of a wide variety of user applications, the network should support the different quality of service requirements for different applications. While 3GPP has specified a number of QoS profiles for a 3G-GPRS (or UMTS), the implementation of QoS management is an issue. This paper presents the QoS management functions in the 3G-GPRS. The QoS management involves service manager, translation function, admission/capability control, and subscription control of users, and mapping function, classification function, resource manager, and traffic conditioner of user traffic. It also describes the QoS Management procedure during the session management when setting up the bearers.
