  • The author of this study would like to consider the influence that socio-cultural attitudes to the appearance offemale college students have on body image and satisfaction. The results of this study were as follows: 1. According to the result of the analysis of the relevant factors of socio-cultural attitudes on outward appearance of women college students, three factors which are named "Internalization", "Awareness" and "Non-confirmity" have been drawn out: 2. According to the result of the factor analysis for the evaluation of the behavioral figure images of women college students, three factors which are named "Figure Management", "Weight Management" and "Figure Valuation" have been drawn out: 3. Socio-cultural attitudes to appearance have correlation with body image, BMI and self-satisfaction of body and appearance: 4. According to consideration of the result of the study of the Influence that socio-cultural attitudes to the appearance have on physical satisfactionof each physical part, it is showed that they have managed their physical weight according to the satisfaction degree of weight and other circumference items: 5. Socio-cultural attitudes to appearance have high correlation with appearance management and weight management.

병원의 외부환경 및 조직특성이 정보화 수준에 미치는 영향 (Influence of External Environment, Organizational Characteristics on Informatization Level in Hospital Settings)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of external environment, organizational characteristics on informatization level in hospital settings, and to provide suggestions to improve the informatizaiton level of strategic information system of hospitals. In order to achieve study purpose, causal model was developed and empirically tested. Data were collected from 716 managers of 89 hospitals keeping information system in Busan and KyungNam Province using self-administered structured questionnaire. Major results of this study were as follows; First, among hospitals which had information training programs, informatization capacity was significantly higher. Moreover, informatization capacity was significantly varied by ownership type, institutional level, and number of beds of hospitals. Second, environmental uncertainty, intra-industry competition intensity, decision-making concentration, work standardization variables and perceived benefits were found to be significant affecting factors on informatization capacity as a result of path analysis. Third, support of top-management and perceived benefits were found to be significant affecting factors on informatization capability as a result of path analysis. Especially, informatization capability was positively affected by informatization capacity. Finally, perceived benefits was found to be significant affecting factors on informatization competency as a result of path analysis. Especially, informatization competency was positively affected by informatization capability.

Topic Modeling Analysis of Beauty Industry using BERTopic and LDA

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is identifying the research trends of degree papers related to the beauty industry and providing information which can contribute to the development of the domestic beauty industry and the direction of various research about beauty industry. Research design, data and methodology: This study used 154 academic papers and 189 academic papers with English abstracts out of 299 academic papers. All of these papers were found by searching for the keyword "beauty industry" in ScienceON on August 15, 2022. For the analysis, BERTopic and LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) analysis were conducted using Python 3.7. Also, OLS regression analysis was conducted to understand the annual increase and decrease trend of each topic derived with trend analysis. Results: As a result of word frequency analysis, the frequency of satisfaction, management, behavior, and service was found to be high. In addition, it was found that 'service', 'satisfaction' and 'customer' were frequently associated with program and relationship in the word co-occurrence frequency analysis. As a result of topic modeling, six topics were derived: 'Beauty shop', 'Health education', 'Cosmetics', 'Customer satisfaction', 'Beauty education', and 'Beauty business'. The trend analysis result of each topic confirmed that 'Beauty education' and 'Health education' are getting more attention as time goes by. Conclusions: The future studies must resolve the extreme polarization between the structure of the small beauty industry and beauty stores. Furthermore, the researches have to direct various ways to create the performance of internal personnel. The ways to maximize product capabilities such as competitive cosmetics and brands are also needed attentions.

Capability, Service Orientation, and Performance in the Investment Management Industry

  • Prior research has emphasized the significant effect of service orientation on organizational performance. However, little research on service orientation has been conducted in the financial field, including the investment management service industry in which high quality service for clients is required. In this paper, we propose a research model that centers on the concept of service orientation as a type of dynamic capability affecting firm performance. The research variables include job competency, risk management capability, operational capability, service orientation, and service performance. We assume that service orientation partially mediates the effects of risk management capability and operational capability on service performance. To test the model, we collected data from 391 fund managers in 86 teams (37 investment management companies) and analyzed it with partial least squares (PLS) method. Each of the 391 fund managers was asked to answer team level measures, which is effective for team level analysis. We find that job competency positively affects both risk management capability and operational capability, which in turn affect service orientation. Risk management capability and operational capability are assumed to directly affect service performance. However, risk management capability does not influence perceived service performance, whereas operational capability does affect it. This result indicates that risk management capability does not directly affect service performance. However, via service orientation, considering that risk management inconveniences customers and is geared to enhance service orientation, service performance is positively affected. Operational capability does not influence service orientation, whereas it affects perceived service performance. This result reveals that operational capability directly affects firm performance. As expected, service orientation significantly affects the service performance perception of fund managers. This study contributes to the literature by introducing service orientation to the financial industry and measures and tests team-level service performance. Our findings also provide insights to practitioners because to enhance team performance, managers must focus on service orientation in addition to operational capability.

노인간호요양시설의 QMI 개발과 현장 실태분석 (Development of Nursing Home Quality Management Index & Application in the Field)

  • Purpose: Expecting a new system of nursing security for elderly in operation in 2007, a substantial expansion of nursing facilities for elderly and quality management of those facilities are imperative now. Therefore. specific quality management measures or schemes which could be used for the operation of small-scale nursing homes are in urgent need. The purpose of this study was to develop a Quality Management Index(QMI) to guide Nursing Home management. Method: This study developed a QMI for small-scale nursing homes, which focused on quality management in structural dimensions such as environment, staffs, local community network, atmosphere, and quality management in process dimensions such as nursing, communication, resident satisfaction. The QMI developed in this study is based on extensive review of literature and the actual experiences of nursing home operation. It consists of 7 dimensions, 39 components and 148 indexes, which have been verified by three times validity tests of experts group. Then the QMI was used to evaluate the quality management levels of nursing homes in Korea. Result: In sum, after analyzing all nursing homes in Korea operated by nurses, this study found that there were significant differences of quality management level among facilities in several dimensions such as environment, staffs, local community connections, communication. In dimensions such as nursing, atmosphere, resident satisfaction, however, little differences of quality management level among facilities were reported. It is considered that this result has to do with several factors like the size of facilities, operation expenses, operation forms, the disposition of professional human resources, and philosophy and management policy of the owners. As far as generalization is concerned, however, it needs to be noted here that the sample size for this study is not statistically big enough to generalize the results. Conclusion: Having Developed a QMI for small-scale nursing home with 7 dimensions, 39 components and 148 indexes, this study is expected to be used in developing more elaborated quality evaluation tools for nursing homes, and also function as a practical guide of quality management for those who are opening and managing nursing homes. I hope this quality index could lead to further development of a standardized quality management index, and eventually contribute to quality improvement of nursing homes.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 기존의 디지털자산관리시스템을 비교분석하여 적합한 실행모델을 개발하는데 있다. 본 연구 결과, 적합한 시스템은 아카이빙 서버, 처리 서버, 그리고 인터페이스 시스템으로 구성되는 것이 바람직하다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 국내실정에 맞는 신뢰성 있고 타당성 있는 디지털미디어자산관리시스템 구축모형을 제안하였다.

행정정보시스템에 대한 UIS모형의 타당성 및 유효성 검증 (The Confirmation of the Validity and Reliability of the UIS Model Toward the Public Management Information System)

  • The structure and dimensionality of the User Information Satisfaction (UIS) construct is an important theoretical issue that received considerable attentions. The acceptance of UIS as a standardized instrument requires confirmation that it explains and measures the user information satisfaction construct and its component. Based on a simple of 670 respondents who participated in dealing with the Public Management Information System (PMIS), this research used a confirmatory factor analysis to test the alternavtive models of underlying factor structure and assessed the reliability and validity of these factors and items in the PMIS. The result provided a support for a revised UIS model with four first-order factors and one PMIS The result provided a support for a revised UIS model with four first-order factors and one second-order (higher-order) factor in PMIS. To cross-validata these results, the author reexamined two prior data sets. The results showed that the revised model provides better model-data fit in all three data sets.

  • With the interest on operational efficiency due to the rapid growth of food material distribution industry and food service industry, the study adopts DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model and examines to measure the technological, pure technical and scale efficiency those companies engaging in the food material distribution and food service business. As a result of analysis, the companies operating integrated business have relatively higher efficiency than those operating only food material distribution or food service companies while the result indicates that three efficiencies don't have significant difference depending on whether affiliated companies or not.   • In the information society where knowledge plays a significant role, the value of the corporate organization creates knowledge strategically and spreads it to the whole organization so as to reinforce the efficiency of the work force. After KMS was recognized as one of core competences of company, KMS based on information technology has been introduced actively to many corporate organizations for the implementation of realizing knowledge management. As the strategic use of KMS increases in company, it has attracted attention to the system and the investment in the system, now attention has brought to the effect of the system. The efficiency and effectiveness of KMS has been tackled as one of the most important issues, and then many studies have been implemented to measure the result of the system. The purpose of this study is to overcome these problems and to help make an important decision in establishing introduction strategy by abstracting the reasons and success factors and result indices which are important sources for introducing KMS.
