  • The computerization works and environment have been changed from simple transaction and data process request to system connection request, from data computerization to application work automation and process computerization through IT development and Internet spread. Recently, BPM(Business Process Management) concept has been widely propagated. It is expanding interest of business subject. Korea Railroad is operating train operation management system through 5 regional headquarters and organizations under the influence of each regional headquarter. But integrated operation and management of communication each department, work flow management and resources of depot equipment and materials have to need a lot of effort and time in huge organization as Korea Railroad. Therefore, this article realized Web Based BPM Group Ware. This article will define Korea Railroad organization and business process in using this Group Ware. And it will introduce Korea Railroad computer manage system of this Group Ware and efficient Korea Railroad Business Process through modeling and operating department work and resources management in Korea Railroad.

  • Recently, operation of highway is the complex digital Infrastructure based on complicated IT. The application of IT is increasing more and more in digital Infrastructure. Though IT is very convenient, if unpredicted operating risk of highway occurs, widespread damage can be large. When operating risk of highway occurs, road users are out of smoothly-run service because of the operating interruption. This risk causes unpredicted operating management cost and additional maintenance cost. It will excess over the planned operating cost, which may leads to users's unsafety and operator's insolvency because of income loss. Until now, related studies to find out the risk are not sufficient. The purpose of this study is to suggest risk cost items and to estimate the reasonable risk cost by using simulation method in case of occurring the huge power failure at the operating digitalized highway. This study indicates the several plans to hedge against risk cost and the management of highway project. From now on, it will be used as basic data to confirm the soundness of operating system in Digital Infrastructure.

Analytic study on thermal management operating conditions of balance of 100kW fuel cell power plant for a fuel cell electric vehicle (100kW급 연료전지 열관리 시스템 실도로 운전조건 해석적 연구)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate performance characteristics of thermal management system(TMS) in a fuel cell electric vehicle with 100kW Fuel Cell(FC) system. In order to build up analytic modelling for TMS, each component was installed and tested under various operating conditions, such as water pump, radiator, 3-Way valve, COD heater, and FC stack etc. and as the results of them, correlations reflecting component's characteristics with flow rate, air velocity were developed. Developed analytic modelling was carried out under various operating conditions on the road. To verify modelling's accuracy, after prediction for optimum coolant flow rate was fulfilled under certain operating conditions, such as FC system, water pump speed, opening of 3-way valve, and pipe resistance, analytic and experimental values were compared and good agreement was shown. In order to predict cold-start operating performance for analytic modelling, coolant temperature variation was analyzed with $-20^{\circ}C$ ambient temperature and duration was predicted to rise in optimum temperature for FC. Because there is appropriate temperature difference between inlet and outlet of FC stack to operate FC system properly, related analysis was performed with respect to power consumption for TMS and heat rejection rate and performance map was depicted along with FC operating conditions.

  • An internet and network based software and related interface have been developed, which can remotely control and manage an on-site operating system. Developed software modules were composed of two parts: monitoring/management modules and control/diagnosis modules were developed for the network status, warehouse, production and selling status. Modules of control with diagnosis were developed for the on-site operating system and interface. Each module was integrated and the whole modules have been tested with an automatic mushroom grading/sorting system which was built in a laboratory. Developed software modules worked successfully without any uncommon situations such as system down caused by the software or data transfer error. Each software module was developed independently in order to apply easily to other existing on-site systems such as rice processing centers, fruit and vegetable sorting, packaging and distribution centers scattered over the country.

  • PURPOSES: Regional offices of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs use a computerized system called KAMIS so as to manage road equipment systematically. Road agencies can record number of operating days by equipment, actual working hours, accumulated operating hours (or distance) by equipment, and operating cost. However, KAMIS does not provide critical information, although it is strongly related to efficient road management equipment operation. In other words, road agencies do not know whether they have sufficient equipment to handle their actual work. METHODS: Therefore, this study suggests a methodology to evaluate for operational efficiency of road management equipment using analytical hierarchy process(AHP). First of all, estimated weights related criteria can be produced by AHP, and then use operational history by pieces of equipment. RESULTS: Results show that importance of management work can differ from weather conditions through five areas. CONCLUSIONS: Commonly, this results can imply to help save money for the purchase and maintenance of road management equipment, and they would improve the functional performance of KAMIS.

  • There have been several papers to illustrate how an information system is used in an automated warehouse system. These papers, however. do not carefully address the role of warehouse planning/control systems nor do they recognize how to integrate the management planning/control systems, and automated warehouse system. This article addresses such issues and shows how a business computer system can be used to integrate and unify the warehouse planning/control systems and the automated warehouse system into it single and highly productive operating system.

A Power-Aware Scheduling Algorithm by Setting Smoothing Frequencies (주파수 평활화 기법을 이용한 전력 관리 알고리즘)

  • Most researches for power management have focused on increasing the utilization of system performance by scaling operating frequency or operating voltage. If operating frequency is changed frequently, it reduces the real system performance. To reduce power consumption, alternative approaches use the limited number of operating frequencies or set the smoothing frequencies during execution to increase the system performance, but they are not suitable for real time applications. To reduce power consumption and increase system performance for real time applications, this paper proposes a new power-aware schedule method by allocating operating frequencies and by setting smoothing frequencies. The algorithm predicts so that frequencies with continuous interval are mapped into discrete operating frequencies. The frequency smoothing reduces overheads of systems caused by changing operating frequencies frequently as well as power consumption caused by the frequency mismatch at a wide frequency interval. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the power consumption up to 40% at maximum and 15% on average compared to the CC RT-DVS.

  • To derive an efficient operating system for business incubators, this study examined the operating performance according to incubator operating system and incubator manager. The survey targets were tenants of business incubators and factor analysis. Regression analysis was performed according to the reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and parameter using the 19 Ver program SPSS analysis. As a result, the business incubators and business incubators operating system were found to be an important factor and among these, the H / W and system S / W systems were identified as significantly influential factors. On the other hand, this hypothesis of the performance of the support system and characteristics of the incubator manager was rejected for the variable parameters, which always appear to influence the other characteristic factors of the manager. Operational performance can be divided into an incubator performance center and tenant's performance, and the performance of the tenants were analyzed by the significant effect on the managers characteristics.

  • Based on the known results of the expected busy periods for the triadic Min (N, T, D) and Max (N, T, D) operating policies applied to a controllable M/G/1 queueing model, a relation between them is constructed. Such relation is represented in terms of the expected busy periods for the simple N, T and D, and the dyadic Min (N, T), Min (T, D) and Min (N, D) operating policies. Hence, if any system characteristics for one of the two triadic operating policies are known, unknown corresponding system characteristics for the other triadic operating policy could be obtained easily from the constructed relation.
