  • This study deals with technology planning-based management for Basic R&D Programs of government supported research institutes (GRIs). The Korean Research Council for Industrial Science and Technology which consists of major GRIs needs to implement new government policies which focus on the dissemination of R&D outcome, collaborative research, and performance-oriented R&D investment. The major characteristics of technology planning-based management include the hierarchy of market-oriented technology plans and the valuation of core technologies. We also suggest technology classifications and project network diagrams.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the limitations of the existing management system by analyzing the characteristics of the PC process to improve the PC construction project management system process. To overcome the limitations derived, we present a process of managing integrated information from the design-production-construction stage using QR codes and clouds. This is expected to help develop a PC construction project management system.

  • To enhance the safety of nuclear power plants, implementation of accident management has been suggested as one of most important programs. Specially, accident management strategies are suggested as one of key elements considered in development of the accident management program. In this study, generally applicable accident management strategies to domestic nuclear power plants are identified through reviewing several accident management programs for the other countries and considering domestic conditions. Identified strategies are as follows; 1) Injection into the Reactor Coolant System, 2) Depressurize the Reactor Coolant System, 3) Depressurize the Steam Generator, 4) Injection into the Steam Generator, 5) Injection into the Containment, 6) Spray into the Containment, 7) Control Hydrogen in the Containment. In addition, the systems and instrumentation necessary for the implementation of .each strategy are also investigated.

  • This study is to review and re-establish LH disaster response and safety management system of the construction site and rental apartment complex in order to make an effective response and minimize damage in the face of disaster. I suggest directions for the improvement of disaster management systems. To achieve this, I reviewed the existing disaster response organization and accept opinions of the operating department in order to constitute effective organization which respond quickly and efficiently in emergency, and assigned new roles and responsibilities at each organization. • For the first time the concentrations of copper, zinc, lead, cadmium and crome in the tissues from 17 specimens of cetaceans of Korean coast were determined. The measured concentrations of trace elements were considerably lower than the concentrations previously reported in cetaceans. In inter-species, Cd levels were higher in the kidney of Stejneger's beaked whales and the stomach, liver and lung of Risso's dolphin than in the tissues of minke whale and humpback whale.

  • Customer Support Knowledge of Customer Support Organization is one of the important assets of enterprises and "Customer Support Knowledge Management" is also the critical aspect of Business Knowledge Management; however, the attributes of Customer Support Knowledge are complicated, diverse, renewed rapidly and difficult to be managed. Thus, in order to design a successful Customer Support Knowledge Management System, apart from the consideration of "human" and "information technology" aspects, the concerns of attributes and Customer Support Knowledge and industry characteristics should be involved for meeting the requirements of Customer Support Organization and allowing the organization to acquire the competitive advantage of "Differentiation Service". This research used the "Customer Support Knowledge Management System" in a high-tech industry as an example and treated the end users of medical instruments in different types of hospitals in Taiwan which have received the support service of our company in recent six months as the population. The end users were mostly the nursing executives or ultrasonic wave technical personnel in intensive care unit and they had similar educational background and incomes and adopted the medical instruments such as physical supervision system, ultrasonic wave system, heart start or ECG machine produced by our company; the research method was to randomly treat the investigation results of the telephone customers' satisfaction from respective 30 end users in the population three months before and after this system execution as the samples and use hypotheses to validate if the end users' customer satisfaction significantly improved in terms of "Remote Support," "On-site Support," "Service Turn Around time," "Technical Competence" and "Manner" in order to understand the influence and managerial significance of execution of "Customer Support Knowledge Management System" on Customer Support Organization.
