Purpose: This study is to identify factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces in Korea. Methods: The data were collected from a random sample of 1,158 occupational health managers working for small-sized workplaces across the nation in which occupational health services were supported by Korean Industrial Health Association. A structured questionnaire was self-administrated by occupational health managers about characteristics of workplaces, occupational health managers, and performance level of occupational health services. Results: Stepwise multiple regression analyses revealed that factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces included supervisor being designated, occupational health manager having received safety and health training, and employer's concern with activities of health management. Conclusion: Government should make efforts to raise the level of employer's concern to occupational health activities. And it is needed to promote health managing staff as a core personnel to self-management for occupational health system.
In terms of deregulation requests from business, incidents at construction sites are rapidly increasing after reducing the regular safety training hours. Especially, to prevent incidents through safety trainings for construction site workers, who have lots of hazardous tasks than general manufacturing, is not only to protect property of both the companies and the country but also to increase their profits. That is why there are loud voices regarding that the safety training is a core mandatory to prevent industrial incidents. But, most companies, as soon as the deregulation for safety training is implemented, mitigated conducting safety trainings to prevent incidents. With this, the incidents are currently to be increased and caught in a vicious circle of many incidents at the smaller companies because of their absentmindedness regarding safety training due to their poorness as subcontractors of major companies, comparing to major companies. This study explains that the difference between managers and workers are existing about safety awareness and knowledge. And, we confirmed that the educational factor led by deficiency of safety awareness and knowledge was the major factor.

The purpose of this paper is a case study on welfare QC circle which is considered as one of the management techniques to improve service quality among recently changing welfare environment. Futhermore this paper is also to suggest a new introduction of the welfare QC circle in korean social welfare agency. To accomplish these purpose, this study theoretically examines activity process and techniques of welfare QC circle. In practice, three social workers and one supervisor working at 'D' community welfare center in pusan are participated during six months. As a result, we founded the specific problems that is aroused from youth volunteer group within by fish bone chart, and proposed the alternative choices by 5W1H check sheet, and also certified to decrease turnover ratio in youth volunteering by pareto chart. This study, however, has its limitation in selection only one case study on welfare QC circle of youth volunteering. Welfare QC circle could be much contributed as one of the management techniques to enhance the quality of social welfare service from the viewpoint of the customer, If it is well developed korean welfare QC model which is suitable to social welfare organization and service. Therefore, in order to introduce welfare QC circle in korean social welfare organizations, I would like to suggest to find out a useful text of welfare QC and organize some welfare QC study groups including other suggestions.

Recently, To define an enterprise's survival strategy is a difficult task, because the competition of a business is a complexity. The reason is the original research uses a statistical survey method. On a conceptual point of SCM, - as an order of development, physical distribution, logistics management, basic supply chain management and advanced supply chain management etc - a supervisor is magnifying gradually as well as confusing with information and analysis techniques which seems possible. On executing this, however, it has many problems since it is hard and wide; therefore, The Manager don't aware a total executable solution even though the enterprise knows necessity of SCM. On this paper focus on a proposal of alternatives with reasonableness of manufacturing and making a profit of sales department like most of enterprises are willing to overcome such as carelessness and unready strategy of investment additionally, the thesis should effort to find an element through an analysis of cases, a statistical method of effective SCM, and actual survey to propose an alternative; moreover, this paper proved the facts that it could be a guiding company, which has an ability of cooperation with entities through the founding of supply chain. As a conclusion, this essay showed the variation that influences the capacity entities and alternative to define an element which basically influence for a cause and effect.
Purpose: Crisis is inevitable to every organization and therefore, successful crisis management is critical to the organizations' survival and prosperity. With the understanding, this study aims to draw propositions for successful crisis management of hospitals when facing infectious disease outbreak. For the purpose, a case of a small and medium sized hospital's experience of crisis management during 2015 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome outbreak was analyzed. Methodology/Approach: The detailed internal circumstances and experiences of the hospital during the MERS outbreak were identified by in-depth interview as well as the extensive material review, and analyzed under the view of the theories of accident, error, and crisis in relation of organization management Findings: Overall, nine propositions are drawn by the phase of crisis. In pre-crisis phase, for example, 'the hospital preparedness has positive influence on the effective responding to the crisis'. In detection phase, 'the mindfulness of the hospital organizations' as well as the individuals' has positive influence on detecting the crisis signals'. In crisis phase, for example, 'improvising naturally occurs in crisis by the unknown disease, therefore, a component site supervisor coordinating such improvision is important'. Lastly, in post-crisis phase, 'successful crisis responding experience facilitates the positive hospital culture'. Practical implication: From the experience of a small and medium size hospital, it is suggested that proactive system approach oriented by safety is beneficial for effective crisis management.

This paper analyzes problems related to total cost changes in private investment projects, and then proposes an improvement measure for the control of cost changes within the framework of the project management, contract, human resource, project communication, cost, and time management. From the viewpoint of contract management, the basis of cost change ought to be cleared up with standardization of related provisions in the concession agreement, and potentiality of change ought to be excluded with prescription of the private investor's leading role from the design phase. Regarding human resource management, this paper proposes a standard work flow granting much sovereign rights to private parts by putting restriction on work scopes of the entrusted authority of government, and transferring the rights of assignment, contract, and control about the responsible supervisor to the concessionaire. With regard to project communication management the notification of changes on drawings and technical documents ought to be automated and the realtime database ought to be established with DMIS (Drawings & Documents Management Information System). From the cost management point of view, this thesis integrates the control of cost-change-approved items and disapproved items to one cost breakdown system, and then harmonizes the actual progress with EVMS in time management.

Eventually so as to realize the construction safety, 1 found out the cause of accident and specificities of the construction industry. This study presented to several situations and problems on construction safety. As a result of this study, the below matters must be improved for more effective the construction safety management system. 1. It need to introduce the total construction safety management system. Because there is not effectiveness in the current safety management to the first on the construction field. a. We must consider the safety in the whole parts of the process of the construction and constructors of each part must devide responsibility of the construction safety as a CDM(The Construction Designed Management) used in UK. b. It is desirable to proceed control of safety in the whole parts of the construction to introduce the total safety coordinator that can consult the matters of safety as a law accepted in EU. c. Like management of the construction safety in USA, direction of the construction safety must be made to work exactly by code or manual. d. To improve the organization of the construction safety on the construction field unefficient, it must be introduced safety supervisor, safety coordinator or institutionalization of safety consultant. 2. The law of the construction safety not only have wasteful element but also decrease efficiency by overlapping of regulation, The Ministry of Labour and The Ministry of Construction & Transportation, So laws related with safety must be instituted. a. To realize total safety management, The Ministry of Labour must legislate the basic law about safety management in whole field. b. To legislate the construction safety under one law, and improve efficiency of the overlapping of regulation and the similar law by The Ministry of Construction & Transportation. c. It must be made the law of construction safety that can proper to change of situation in construction. d. The standard of safety must be instituted belong to international level and improved by year. e. We must improve irrational regulation to realize activity of safety self regulating for progress competition in construction industry
This study observed co-worker's conflict situations and interpersonal conflict management strategies from 5 teacher's conversations and informal gatherings in a new born child classroom. Taxonomic analysis, Domain analysis, and Componential analysis(Spradley, 1980) were used to analyze co-worker's conflict situations, and Styles of Handling Interpersonal Conflict(Rahim, 1983) were used to analyze the child care teachers' interpersonal conflict management strategies. The findings of this study were as follows: First, child care teachers experience conflict. The causes of conflict were to do their best, to protect the right of teachers, and to work jointly. Second, Dominating conflict management strategy was used when a cook wouldn't provide teacher's snacks or adopt a teacher's suggestion about methods of providing snacks. Avoiding conflict management strategy was used when a cleaner asked for help or a supervisor asked for extra work. Integrating conflict management strategy was used when infant care teachers suggested ways to go on a vacation. Obliging conflict management strategy was used when teachers followed the principal's directions to sit in and observe another teacher's classroom. Compromising conflict management strategy was used when infant care teachers suggested ways to clean up a play room together.

This study analyzed the condition of marine accident and disaster rate of crew of Korean fishing vessels by vessel type, and checked the Australian safety management system and relevant regulation in Korea to suggest measures to build coastal/offshore fishing vessel safety management system in Korean coastal/offshore fishery. As a result, the power and production amount of Korean coastal/offshore fishing vessel is consistently decreasing while marine accident is increasing. Disaster rate of crew was higher than land industry, especially, the disaster rate of coastal/offshore fishing vessel was very high (100.0‰). Australia applies safety management system differed by vessel type and operation waters which fully considers the characteristics of pertinent vessel. The average accident rate of fishing vessels with gross tonnage over 20 tons among the Korean coastal/offshore fishing vessel was 13.6%, which was significantly higher than fishing vessels with gross tonnage below 20 tons (1.4%). Such result indicates it is urgent to implement safety management system to fishing vessel with gross tonnage over 20 tons and introduce fishing vessel safety supervisor. Establishing safety management system of coastal/offshore fishing vessel will contribute to consistent industrial development by achieving the general goal of reducing marine accident and spreading safety culture.
