Most of our GIS implementation activities have been focussed on the management of urban information in local municipalities. Management of urban facilities has been the major issue of concern and has little role in providing the decision maker with alternatives from which one can analyse and choose the optimum solution. For this reason, the spatial decision support system is in need. Business analysis software is effectively used for site analysis of new stores, customer prospecting and other issues of decision making for business purposes, The same geoprocessing module of business analysis software would be useful if put to use for the management of disaster management especially for storm surge management. Application of the business analysis model for disaster management has been reviewed. Specially in case of storm surge, where quick response is crucial, the spatial decision support system will be most effective.

A systematic construction and re-use of technology related to the product development and production has been the most important for the semiconductor industry dependent on process and equipment. Therefore, numerous outputs in the form of paper has been produced in the process of information management ranging from the creation to recycling and disposal of technologies. In this research, the technology and documents necessary for the business management in the field of semiconductor manufacturing were classified in an effort to solve problems while the modeling of document management architecture at the enterprise level was performed by properly setting up the security system to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of the product development technology to the third parties. Especially, the product and process specification are designed in such a way as to ensure a real-time response in interface with the production system in order to shorten the development lead-time and improve the productivity. This paper is to discuss the modeling approach, the strategy to construct the system and its results.

This paper examined the supply chain management partnerships factors and business performance in textile industry. To build a global network, we should consider the following critical factors such as lead-time reduction, information sharing, and inventory management. The purpose of this study is to focus on QR (Quick Response) of SCM in textile industries to clarify which of the SCM factors contribute to business performance for the SCM firms. Based on the analysis of eighth-six cases, the following results were found. First, partnerships factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on responsiveness of supply chain management. Second, partnerships factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on flexibility of supply chain management. This study suggests that partnerships are main factors for the business performance. Especially, our empirical evidence shows that capacity of firms practicing SCM, information techniques, and partnerships make the firms' business performance more responsive and flexible.

This paper analyzes mobile agent performance in network management compared to the client-server model used in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Prototypes of an application that gathers MIB-II (Management Information Base-II) variables have been created and tested on a LAN. After acquiring implementation parameters related to network management and to the mobile agent infrastructure, simulation results have been obtained on large topologies similar in shape to the Internet. Response time results show that mobile agents perform better than SNMP when the number of managed elements ranges between two specific limits, an inferior bound and a superior one, determined by the number of messages that pass through a backbone and by the mobile agent size which grows along with MIB-II variables collected on network elements. The results also show that a significant improvement is achieved when the mobile agent returns or sends data to the management station after visiting a fixed number of nodes.

The study seeks to cooperate with the investigation of a fire investigation based on public-private partnership. Fire protection systems provide a wide variety of viewpoints from the perspectives of design, construction, management, maintenance, maintenance and maintenance systems at a particular point in time, construction, management, and maintenance systems. What is controversial is that there are illegal activities such as illegal activities of the Patent Office, misconduct of construction work and unreasonable construction of construction works.As a theoretical framework, the present study identified the four key elements of a successful disaster response system : responsiveness, control, professionalism, and bias.

Cross-border supply chains undergone complexity in the global trade process, unpredictability and continually evolving regulations and information requirements. Under these circumstances, longer lead time inhibiting quick response to market demands, unanticipated supply chain costs eroding product cost savings, compliance and documentation errors causing delays and fines are challenging global trade companies when they execute global business. These problems are mainly caused by unautomated, unintegrated process which lead to longer and more unpredictable lead times, slower cash flow, cost overruns, and ultimately lower profits and less satisfied customers. Complex and unpredictable global trade environment requires global trade companies of global trade management functions to automate and control this complex environment for driving out cost, time and risk from their business. Global trade management allows cost savings, supply chain efficiencies and improved compliance through improving global supply chain visibility, facilitating cash flow by supply chain financing, enhancing supply chain security and risk management.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the college and university student's perception on the brand awareness of contract foodservice management company in Incheon area. The developed questionnaires were distributed to the college and university students in Incheon area from September 20 to September 24 in 2004. Total 198 questionnaires were used for the final data analysis with response rate of 82.5%. The results showed that 85 % of the students has known that the foodservice operation was managed by contracted management company, only 56.5% of them have known the exact name of contract foodservice management company managing their cafeteria. It was recommended therefore that contract foodservice management company need more efforts for widening public activities for their company's name.

A PEMFC(proton exchange membrane fuel cell) is a good candidate for residential power generation to be cope with the shortage of fossil fuel and green house gas emission. The attractive benefit of the PEMFC is to produce electric power as well as hot water for home usage. Typically, thermal management of vehicular PEMFC is to reject the heat from the PEMFC to the ambient air. Different from that, the thermal management of PEMFC for RPG is to utilize the heat of PEMFC so that the PEMFC can be operated at its optimal efficiency. In this study, dynamic thermal management system is modeled to understand the response of the thermal management system during dynamic operation. The thermal management system of PEMFC for RPGFC is composed of two cooling circuits, one for controling the fuel cell temperature and the other for heating up the water for home usage. Dynamic responses and operating strategies of the PEMFC system are investigated during load changes.

Partnership for Disaster Management as a result of the settlement than if the existing disaster management system for disaster response system more effective and efficient functioning in reducing human and material damage is expected to contribute are getting out.

Purpose: This study compares quality crisis and management at Hyundai Motor in the late 1990s and Toyota Motor in the late 2000s. We can expect to induce more meaningful policy implications in quality management from this in-depth comparative case study. Methods: This study compares two cases at Hyundai and Toyota Motor how to overcome quality crisis based on the OESP (Organization-Environments-Strategy- Performance) model. Results: Hyundai Motor shows centralized approach based on the asymmetric organizational culture and the entrepreneurial leadership but Toyota shows decentralized, systematic approach based on the steady state leadership and symmetric organizational culture. The CEO's leadership have proved to be one of the important factors at both companies. Conclusion: The effective quality management in global contexts has become more and more difficult for the 'complexity explosions' in automobile industry. As a consequence, the future competitive edge of world automobile industry will come from the effective quality management of products in global contexts.
