Improving QoS using Cellular-IP/PRC in Wireless Internet Environment (Cellular-IP/PRC에서 핸드오프 상태 머신에 의한 QoS 개선)

  • Propose Cellular-IP/PRC network with united paging and Cellular IP special duality that use roof information administration cache to secure lake acceptance method in wireless Internet environment and QoS in lesser extent cell environment. Do it so that may apply composing PC(Paging Cache) and RC(Routing Cache) that was used to manage paging and router in radio Internet network in integral management and all nodes as one PRC(Paging Router Cache), and add hand off state machine in transfer node so that can manage hand off of transfer node and Roaming state efficiently, and studies so that achieve connection function at node. Analyze benevolent person who influence on telephone traffic in system environment and forecasts each link currency rank and imbalance degree, forecast most close and important lake interception probability and lake falling off probability, GoS(Grade of Service), efficiency of cell capacity in QoS because applies algorithm proposing based on algorithm use gun send-receive electric power that judge by looking downward link whether currency book was limited and accepts or intercept lake and handles and displays QoS performance improvement.

  • Recently, Co-working that is a new trend of working and Co-working Space that create Co-working are increasing rapidly around the centers to support start-up such as one-person creative companies. However, the business centers located outside Seoul are not enough to recognize knowledge and skill for operating Co-working Space. Therefore, this study selects the big research issue which is "The recognition and case of co-working & application to co-working space" and the small research issue that is "Co-working Space operation activities" for qualitative research by using in-depth interview to managers of one-person creative company business centers. As a result, on the perspective of the big research issues, they understood Co-working concept, but the Co-working case was made by manager's effort without voluntary participation of the users. Co-working Space is important to recognize as a space for interaction and exchange information but was used only as a sharing space. And on the perspective of the small research issues, 'Space & Interior', 'Alliance and Partnership' and 'Community and Communication' show low awareness and activities. So, we suggest improvement plans through the case of best practices. This study is valuable, it could be a help to adapt and improve to Co-working Space in one-person creative company business center for creation of performance by Co-working.

Improving Reliabilities of Dam Displacement based on Monitoring Given Points by Total Station (기준점 측량을 활용한 광파기 기반 댐 제체 변위 계측 신뢰도 향상)

  • Displacement of dams by various instrumentations has been monitored for its safety management and analyzing the behavior after a dam collapse accident. However, unknown displacement of dam has frequently been occurred and it's difficult to analyze behavior of dams more accurately. In this study, improvement of reliabilities for displacement of dams measured by a total station was suggested by calibrating the monitoring system. The position of total station was initially measured through 2-3 given points and the coordinate of the total station was considered as an absolute value. Also, base horizontal and vertical angles had not been considered even if they are important factors when displacement was estimated. In this study, location of the total station and variations of base horizontal and vertical angles were investigated during measuring displacements of targeting points. From the results of this study, they are important factors which are affecting measurements of dam displacements. Before the calibrating, the displacement at 50 m from total station was ${\pm}20mm$. After the calibrating, the displacement was decreased by ${\pm}5mm$.

A Study on the Experiment of Represtressed Preflexional Composite Beams (RPF 합성보의 실험 연구)

  • The conventional preflex beams are designed by the method of paritial prestressing and allow the tensile stresses at the lower concrete of beams. As a consequence, most of preflex beams experience the tensile cracks under the service loads. This study was conducted to develop the most effective preflex beams, which do not allow tensile stress under the service load, by introducing additional prestressing called 'represtressing' at the lower concrete of beams. The objective of the study was accomplished by developing a computer analysis and design program and conducting experiments. Using the developed computer program, standard sections of the represtressed preflex beams were determined by computer modeling. In the experiment, two actual size of represtressed beams were tested under the imitated service loads. The results of test have shown that the performance of the represtressed preflex beams is generally excellent. A remarkable improvement was made in the design of preflex composite beams. Since the represtressed preflex beams(RPF) do not experience the tensile cracks under the service loads, the use of this beam for the bridge structures will lead to easy bridge maintenance and management. Furthermore, due to the low beam depth, high clearance and economical design can be realized in the bridge design using RPF.

A Study on the Predictive Power Improvement of Time Series Model with Empirical Mode Decomposition Method (경험적 모드분해법을 이용한 시계열 모형의 예측력 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The analysis of hydrologic time series data is crucial for the effective management of water resources. Therefore, it has been widely used for the long-term forecasting of hydrologic variables. In tradition, time series analysis has been used to predict a time series without considering exogenous variables. However, many studies using decomposition have been widely carried out with the assumption that one data series could be mixed with several frequent factors. In this study, the empirical mode decomposition method was performed for decomposing a hydrologic time series data into several components, and each component was applied to the time series models, autoregressive moving average (ARMA). After constructing the time series models, the forecasting values are added to compare the results with traditional time series model. Finally, the forecasted estimates from ARMA model with empirical mode decomposition method showed better performance than sole traditional ARMA model indicated from comparing the root mean square errors of the two methods.

  • Smart work is deeply embedded in our contemporary lives. This is called Smart Life. The expansion of communication, caused by smart life is utilized for the political purposes of politicians, political candidates, and political policies. Chiefly, smart life includes improvement in awareness, personal relations, and policy advocacy. Socially, smart life leads the proliferation of issues and civil movement. In particular, smart life has a significant effect on culture. In the case of K-POP, it is disseminated going beyond space time. It enhances economic value added by joining and sharing at the same time. Smart life has numerous advantages such as improving the quality of life, but it might cause inconvenience depending on users because there are differences in acceptance according to generations. Due to the heavy weight on the device, there are some side-effects such as lacking in human thinking, disclosure in private life, lacking in basic securities, increase in information addicts who are anxious when they do not get on the Internet or SNS, and interference with work. However, this inconvenience can change into convenience when users are accustomed to it. Like this, smart life influences politics, economy, society, and culture a lot. Working environment of smart life is a new paradigm, which can generate high performance through working in an exciting and bright atmosphere with easy economy and putting value on results.

  • As a domestic traffic control signal system, either the system with which a traffic signal turns into green at regular intervals or the system with which an amber or a red signal flickers on local roads without heavy traffic at midnight has been utilized. However, when the former system is used for roads with light traffic at midnight, delays and congestion can be incurred. Besides, in case of the latter signal system, the risk of vehicle crash is high. This study proposes a response type of flickering green signal system that rearranges signal system after analyzing beacon messages including sensor data. The proposed system, on a trunk road or a branch road at midnight, makes the signal keep flickering in green; When a vehicle enters the range of RSE, the transfer coverage, it transmits beacon messages regularly and Agent System analyzes the messages and alters the signal. It is a system by which vehicles move following the altered signal system, which will not only ensure smooth flow but also prevent vehicles from crashing on a road with light traffic. As a result of a simulation, traffic throughput and the average waiting time displayed 10 to 30 percent better improvement than existing signal systems, in terms of performance.

  • In this study investigated the factors for the career preparation behaviors of social welfare major students based on Lent et al. (1994)'s Social-cognitive Career Theory so as to provide essential baseline data for establishing proper career support strategies that suit the distinctive nature of social welfare studies. The participants of this study are 132 social welfare major students from three colleges who have completed social welfare field education. This study analyzed the relationship between cognitive factor (outcome expectation), vocational interest factor (major selection satisfaction), goal factor (career decision level), and work performance factor (career preparation behavior). For analysis, SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used. The analysis results are as follows. First, the model's goodness of fit was found to be at a statistically ideal level with CFI=.904, TLI=.887, and RMSEA=.068. Second, the result of analyzing the correlation between the primary variables is as follows: as outcome expectation increased, major selection satisfaction grew, which then increased the career decision level and led to the improvement in career preparation behavior. These results indicate the importance of developing a customized route support program considering the perceived and interesting factors of individual students to improve their career preparation behavior for social welfare majors.

Study on the Adequacy and Improvement of the Threshold Speed of Expressway Congestion (고속도로 정체 기준 속도의 적정성 검토 및 개선 연구)

  • Much time has passed since Korea's expressway congestion-threshold speed was revised in 2011. In the meantime, various expressway environments have changed owing to improved performance of vehicles, expanded operations of transport competition (i.e., the KTX), and increased speed limits along some expressway sections. In addition, the speed that expressway users expect to travel at is also increasing. Therefore, through a survey, this study investigates expressway users' perceptions of congestion, and reviews the adjustment of the expressway speed congestion threshold by analyzing expressway traffic flow. One result of the survey confirms that the threshold speed expressway users consider to be congestion has slightly increased. Analyzing traffic and speed data through a K-means algorithm found that the threshold speed for congestion is 60 km/h. In addition, assuming the congestion threshold speed increase from 40 km/h to 50 km/h and 60 km/h, frequently congested expressway sections are identified, determining that 50 km/h is appropriate as a congestion threshold for proper expressway mobility management.

An Empirical Assessment of Competency Requirements for Logistics Managers of Freight Forwarding Companies (복합운송주선업 물류관리자의 자격요건에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this research is to identify the competencies required by freight forwarding company logistics managers or supply chain managers. And this research also attempts to show their relative importance and key knowledge areas that require improvement. Using a survey questionnaire, data was collected against forty three logistics and supply chain management skills or competencies, which were then grouped into four categories and analysed. The Analysis revealed that supply chain awareness, ability to make decisions, analytical skill, communication skill, supply chain cost, people skill, and integration of internal or external information flow which belong to logistics planning group are considered the most important competencies for effective and efficient logistics functioning. On the other hand, reverse logistics and IATA regulations from environmental awareness group show little influence on logistics managers for improving their logistics performances. The results have implications for a variety of parties including prospective logisticians, students, teachers and companies considering expanding their business to Chinese market. For example, the results permit companies to employ appropriate logistics managers who are qualified with sufficient skills and competencies suggested in this research. In the case of practitioners, the results provide a benchmark for comparison with their current level of abilities and suggested competencies.
