통합 물류 시스템 구축을 위한 워크플로 프레임워크 (A Workflow Framework for the Integrated Logistics Systems)

  • In this paper, we propose a workflow framework for the integrated logistics systems. We modelled the logistics activities into workflows, which allow clear specification and flexible modification of business processes. To specify workflows, we used petri-net that is extended to handle with information flows. A framework to implement the integrated logistics system using workflow management technology is proposed. Since logistics is closely related with other parts of enterprise such as manufacturing and accounting, the framework could capture a rich features required for enterprise-wide systems.

  • Supply chain performance management is the essential part of various business activities in supply chain management area, and integrating it with general business management improves the supply chain performance. Although supply chain performance management is important and expected of market growth, there are few researches on this area and lack of practical applications. To resolve these problems, this paper presents a new performance management methodology for a supply chain integrating SCOR (Supply Chain Operational Reference) model and Balanced Scorecard (BSC). And we develop a framework of the Supply Chain Performance Management System (SCPMS) based on this methodology, and implement a prototype system.

  • 본 연구는 임산공학 연구자들의 연구데이터 관리 현황 파악을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 DAF(Data Asset Framework)라는 도구를 이용하여 설문조사를 수행하였다. DAF는 기관이 연구데이터를 어떻게 관리하고 있는지 식별, 위치, 설명 및 평가할 수 있는 수단을 제공하는 조사 도구이다. 이러한 DAF를 활용하여 국립산림과학원 내 임산공학 분야 연구자들을 대상으로 연구데이터 관리 현황을 분석한 결과, 연구데이터 생성방법 및 유형, 공유, 저장, 보존 그리고 재사용 등과 같은 5가지의 카테고리의 현황 및 문제점이 도출되었으며, 또한 문제점 관련하여 해결책을 제시하였다. 이번 연구는 DAF와 같은 체계적인 도구를 활용한 기초 조사로서 특정 분야의 RDM 시스템 설계 시 연구데이터의 현황 및 문제점을 분석하는데 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

IT 서비스 관리(ITSM) 분야의 연구 프레임워크 및 연구동향 분석 (A Study on Research Framework and Research Trends in IT Service Management (ITSM) Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 MIS 분야의 혁신 및 IT의 성과에 대한 이론을 기반으로 ITSM 분야의 연구 프레임워크를 개발하고, 이를 바탕으로 기존에 수행된 국내외의 ITSM 문헌을 분석하여 ITSM 분야의 체계적인 연구를 위한 시사점을 제시한다. 연구의 주요한 시사점은 다음과 같다. (1) 국내의 경우, 조직에 ITSM이 내재화하는데 기여할 수 있는 지속적인 연구 노력이 필요하다, (2) 향후 연구에서는 실험적 설계를 기반으로 한 설명적 연구를 추진할 필요가 있다, (3) ITSM의 효과 요인들의 구체적인 측정 방법이 체계적이지 못하고, 효과 요인들 간의 상관관계와 개인적인 성과에 대한 연구가 미흡하다, (4) 객관성이 높은 ITSM 시스템으로 입수한 2차 데이터를 활용한 연구의 수행이 필요하다. ITSM은 IT의 체계적인 관리를 통해 조직의 생산성과 경쟁력 향상에 크게 기여할 수 있는 혁신이고, 산업계에 크게 확산되고 있다. 본 연구에서 제시한 연구 프레임워크와 연구 추진 시 고려해야 할 시사점은 향후 ITSM 분야의 연구와 실제적인 활용에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

An Empirical Study of Organizational Innovation Practice in Electronic and Electrical Industry in the Greater Pearl River Delta (GPRD)

  • Innovation fuels organizations evolving them to withstand rapid changes in markets and challenges from competition. While diversified concepts of innovation are examined, a generic framework for managing organizational innovation is established to portray the notion in a methodical approach. Substantiation of the determinants for organizational innovation is carried out in order to examine the framework against the practical situation. Subsequently, expectations and actual accomplishments of the determinants for organizational innovation from the industry are determined so as to understand the industrial view towards the framework. This paper summarizes the empirical findings of a survey of organizational innovation with a sample of 208 electronic and electrical manufacturing companies in the Greater Pearl River Delta (GPRD), China. On one hand, the survey findings confirm the readiness of the generic framework from the practical perspective of the industry. On the other hand, rankings are obtained for the expected importance and company accomplishment of the determinants for organizational innovation, namely in the areas of management leadership and commitment, employee capability and attitude and strategy development for innovation. The improvement area is also verified by the shortcomings of the expectation in comparison to the company accomplishment in each determinant. Meanwhile, it is believed that a directional attitude towards the determinants can facilitate the accomplishment of the determinants of organizational innovation. Further results will be generated from a more in-depth analysis of variables. The confirmed framework will be further developed into an assessment system for organizational innovation with the support of best practices in each determinant.

  • Cancer is a disease which has the huge burden in worldwide, and cancer is the number one cause of death in Korea. At this point, the new framework for cancer monitoring index is required for regional cancer monitoring. Especially, cancer survivors are the important target which is rapidly increasing recently, also cancer survivor's quality of care should be considered in the cancer monitoring index framework. To develop the Multidimensional Cancer Monitoring Index considering cancer survivor's quality of care, we took into account cancer continuum which including prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, assessment of quality of care and monitoring cancer patient, and end-of life care for stage. For target, components of health care delivery system such as patient, family, provider, payer, and policy maker are included. Also, Donabedian model which is a framework for examining health services and evaluating quality of health care such as structure, process, and outcome is applied to contents. This new cancer monitoring framework which includes multidimensional components could help to develop regional cancer monitoring index, and to make national cancer management and prevention policy in the future.

Data Firewall: A TPM-based Security Framework for Protecting Data in Thick Client Mobile Environment

  • Recently, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) has been widely adopted to ensure secure protection of enterprise data and provide users with a centrally managed execution environment. However, user experiences may be restricted due to the limited functionalities of thin clients in VDI. If thick client devices like laptops are used, then data leakage may be possible due to malicious software installed in thick client mobile devices. In this paper, we present Data Firewall, a security framework to manage and protect security-sensitive data in thick client mobile devices. Data Firewall consists of three components: Virtual Machine (VM) image management, client VM integrity attestation, and key management for Protected Storage. There are two types of execution VMs managed by Data Firewall: Normal VM and Secure VM. In Normal VM, a user can execute any applications installed in the laptop in the same manner as before. A user can access security-sensitive data only in the Secure VM, for which the integrity should be checked prior to access being granted. All the security-sensitive data are stored in the space called Protected Storage for which the access keys are managed by Data Firewall. Key management and exchange between client and server are handled via Trusted Platform Module (TPM) in the framework. We have analyzed the security characteristics and built a prototype to show the performance overhead of the proposed framework.

포괄적 비즈니스 모델 프레임워크 구축 및 적용 : 헬스케어 비즈니스 모델을 중심으로 (Establishment and Application of a Comprehensive Business Model Framework : Focusing on Healthcare Business Models)

  • A business model (BM) can be developed based on a business model framework (BMF) consisting of key components such as value proposition, customers, and resources. To systematically generate and analyze emerging BMs such as healthcare BM, an integration of diverse BMF components is needed. The present study is to establish a comprehensive BMF and evaluate its applicability to healthcare BMs. Based on a review of eight BMF studies, ten BMF components were identified and classified into five major components (value proposition, resources, organizing model, customers, and revenue model) and five minor components (technology, service platform, delivery, competitive strategy, and growth/exit) by analyses of frequency and functional importance. Lastly, the BMs of three emerging healthcare companies (WellDoc, Inc., CFW Shops, and Aravind Eye Care System) were analyzed and compared in terms of the proposed BMF components. The comprehensive BMF components presented in the study can be of help for developing new BMs and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of BMs.

Framework for Continuous Assessment and Improvement of Occupational Health and Safety Issues in Construction Companies

  • Background: Construction industry is among the most hazardous industries, and needs a comprehensive and simple-to-administer tool to continuously assess and promote its health and safety performance. Methods: Through the study of various standard systems (mainly Health, Safety, and Environment Management System; Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 180001; and British Standard, occupational health and safety management systems-Guide 8800), seven main elements were determined for the desired framework, and then, by reviewing literature, factors affecting these main elements were determined. The relative importance of each element and its related factors was calculated at organizational and project levels. The provided framework was then implemented in three construction companies, and results were compared together. Results: The results of the study show that the relative importance of the main elements and their related factors differ between organizational and project levels: leadership and commitment are the most important elements at the organization level, whereas risk assessment and management are most important at the project level. Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that the framework is easy to administer, and by interpreting the results, the main factors leading to the present condition of companies can be determined.

그린 경영을 위한 IT 거버넌스 체계에 관한 연구 (Developing the Framework of IT Governance for Green Business)

  • 환경오염의 상당부분이 기업 책임으로 인식되면서 기업의 그린 경영에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 외부환경 하에서 기업의 그린 경영을 위해서는 그린 관련 규제준수, 그린의 전략적 활용을 포함한 새로운 거버넌스 체계가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현장에 적합한 거버넌스 체계를 도출하기 위하여 거버넌스 및 IT분야의 전문가 중심으로 FGI 방법을 이용하여 그린 IT 거버넌스 체계를 도출하였다. 본 연구결과인 그린 IT 거버넌스 체계는 그린IT 중점영역, 그린경영목표, 그린IT 목표, 그린IT관리절차 및 프로세스로 구성되었으며, 그린IT 거버넌스 체계에 포함된 프로세스별로 기업 내 실무자가 그린IT활동을 수행하고 경영자가 그린IT 수행과정 및 성과 통제에 활용할 수 있는 체계와 절차를 제시하였다.
