The Influence of Dual-Income Married Men' Job Autonomy on Job Satisfaction: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Parenting Involvement (맞벌이 기혼남성의 직무자율성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 자녀양육참여의 매개효과)

  • Today, many organizations, including venture companies, are focusing on attention on securing and attracting talented people, and on the job satisfaction of their members. However, many organizations, including venture companies, lack understanding of work-family interaction. This study was conducted to investigate the interactions between work and family. Specifically, this study aims to verify the mediating effects of paternal involvement in child care, specifically effects on influences of autonomy at work over satisfaction at work for Dual-income married man living in Gyungbuk province, whose spouse is also working. In order to achieve the aim, I conducted survey from August 29 to September 22 in 2014, targeting married man living in Gyungbuk province, and collected data were analysed using SPSS 20.0. Characteristics of each factors were analysed through frequency and descriptive statistic analysis, and correlation, causal relation, and mediating effects of factors were analysed through correlation analysis and hierarchial analysis. The summary of this study is as follows. First, satisfaction at work for married man showed positive relations with all the sub factors of autonomy at work and paternal involvement, which are housekeeping activities, cognitive fulfillment counselling, life style counselling, and leisure activity participation. Second, satisfaction at work for married man appears to be affected by autonomy at work, life style counselling, leisure activity participation, monthly income, and occupation. Also, in relationship between autonomy at work and satisfaction at work, life style counselling and leisure activity participation, that are sub factors of paternal involvement, appeared to be partially mediating. Therefore, in order to improve the job satisfaction of men, it is necessary not only to increase job autonomy, but also to improve the job satisfaction by preparing ways to parenting involvement.

  • The earthquake resistant design concept allows the nonlinear behavior of structures under the design earthquake. Therefore the response spectrum method provided in most codes introduces the response modification factors to consider the nonlinear behavior in the design process. For bridges, the response modification factors are given according to the ductility as well as the redundancy of piers. In this study, among influence factors on the nonlinear seismic behavior, the randomness of artificial accelerograms simulated with different durations, the pier ductility represented by the inelastic behavior characteristic curve and the regularity represented by pier heights are selected. The influence of such factor on the seismic behavior is investigated by comparing response modification factors calculated with the nonlinear time step analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify which factors are important for learning performance and the moderating effects of self-regulated factors such as elaboration and organization between users characteristic(perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) and learning performance. To Accomplish these research purpose, this study performed a survey and 173 response were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, 7 factors(ease of use, interactivity, accuracy, media richness, perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) had significant impacts on learning performance whereas reliability did not. Second, the moderating effects of self-regulated factors showed that Elaboration of self-regulated factors can be considered as a significant moderating variable between 2 factors(perceived usefulness, internet experience) and teaming performance.

  • Railroad disasters are frequently occurred by man-made causes or natural causes. In general, man-made causes are illegal construction practices, deterioration with the lapse of time and railroad crossing accidents, and natural causes are rainfall. snow, wind, earthquake, etc. Of cause, railroad disasters by man-made causes are prevented from keeping the safety principle, constructing multi-level crossing, securing enough men of ability and financial resources and making a thorough check using equipments with high capacity. And railroad disasters by natural causes are also minimized by construction of disaster prevention facilities, introduction and operation of general disaster prevention system and reasonable train passage control. Therefore, to setup the criterion of train passage control for train safety at railroad bridge under heavy rainfall, risky factors, national and oversea criteria under such circumstances are reviewed and a scheme to setup the criterion is suggested.

  • The progress of environmental science and technology in the developed countries has been rapid in recent years. Particularly remarkable has been the advancement of various pollutant control measures, which have brought the pollution of inorganic factors such as air and water under control. In contrast, diversity of the ecosphere, of which man is a part, is being steadily impoverished and the biological community is getting unvaryingly uniform. These phenomena were brought about by the expansion of artificial environment such as new industrial complexes, transportation facilities and urban development. Man has constructed uniform and artificial environment, believing in the premise of confrontation with nature, to such a scale that the natural environment and biological community have lost their balance. This will increasingly endanger the soundness of the biotic environment of nature, which constitutes the potential foundation both for the survival environment of man as biological entity and for the development of human civilization. In order to guarantee the soundness of man's body, intelligence and sensitivity as wholesome gene pool on the earth and for the future of man, primarily important environmental education is the understanding of how man can everlasting exist in and with the survival environment. In view of this reality, it is vitally important to create ecologically diverse and well-balanced environment with living materials, i.e., vegetation in order to secure lasting survival environment for man. This task is urgently required in highly artificial environment where non-biological materials have forced the impoverishment of the biological community. Therefore, environmental education for the future should not be totally oriented to technology as that in the past nor it is limited to the medical aspect where well-being of human is the sole object of concern. That is to say, environmental education for the future should be one that provides knowledge that human can understand his place based on the ecological concept and thereby make him to have ethical consciousness that he can control his behavior within the reasonable level for ecological niche who he is located.

  • As the construction industry accounts for 28.5% of industrial accidents in Korea and 29.6% of industrial accident deaths in 2017, it is necessary to search for a priority disaster reduction scheme for the construction industry in order to reduce the industrial accident rate. Therefore, this research suggested improvement direction for construction accidents reduction based on factors affecting construction accidents occurring in the construction site by DEMATEL analysis. As a result of the analysis, the 4M factors with the highest Prominence and Relation is 'Management', and the detailed analysis of the 4M factors were Personal characteristics of workers, Defects such as machinery and equipment, Inadequate inspection of machinery and equipment, Insufficient safety management plan, Inappropriate work orders from supervisors and field managers. The analysis results of this research can be used as a basic data for establishing direction of reduction and improvement of construction accidents.

In this paper we propose how to simultaneously optimize multiple quality characteristics using the principal component analysis of multivariate statistical analysis.
