  • This paper has identified some theoretical reasons and empirical evidence for negative scores that occur in Japan and Korea or unstable NPS scores that can be experienced. A psychological analysis of NPS results sheds light on the validity of the negative NPS scores that are often found in Japan and Korea. Usually customer experience surveys utilize a "single stimulus" such as the "company" or the "company's products / services." However, in the case of the "recommendation to friend" question of the NPS system there are two stimuli namely the "company product/service" and the influence of "friends." Hence, the survey outcomes from this question can be very different when compared with other single stimulus questions such as "overall satisfaction" or "repurchase." Japanese and Korean people may have a positive attitude towards the company but they will provide low NPS scores because they are reflecting that they would not run the risk of ruining their relationships with their friends by making a recommendation. As a result, in the NPS system these people will be labeled as "detractors" when in fact they are "ambivalent customers." Using several Japanese and Korean based marketing research industry examples and case studies, different strategies are proposed to address the issue of negative scores in the NPS system in Japan and Korea. The Customers Psyche appears to be the key determinant factors for both types of behavioural items (items with a single stimulus as well as items with two stimuli).

  • The aim of this study is to understand the ethical struggles of Child Protective Service(CPS) social workers and to indicate some implications for future studies by conducting research focusing on their ethical dilemmas and decision-making. This study used qualitative methods, in particular the phenomenological approach and 14 in-depth semi-structured interviews with CPS social workers, and were conducted and analyzed using the procedures of Colaizzi(1978). This study looks at the following research questions: 1) What kind of ethical dilemmas do CPS social workers encounter? This means what ethical dilemmas do they directly or indirectly encounter because of policy or system inadequacies and huge caseloads. 2) How do the CPS social workers make decisions when they are faced with ethical dilemmas? Making the best decisions with all of their responsibilities and burdens is the focus of this question. This study suggests the following discussions: First, efforts to emphasize 'ethics' at CPS are needed. Second, proper policies and systems based on the Korean situation are needed so that CPS social workers won't have to face 'needless' ethical dilemmas. Third, an index of ethical problems or ethical codes is necessary because principles are important to those social workers who face ethical dilemmas. Fourth, an ethical committee that protects the CPS social workers by supporting their decisions and being responsible for them is needed. Last, a debriefing system that reduces a CPS social worker's psychological trauma caused by ethical dilemmas should be available.

  • Background: Pregnancy-related low back pain (PLBP) has fewer systematic guidelines than pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, previous studies have not evaluated physical therapy for this ailment in Korea. Objects: We aimed to provide a detailed account of clinical decision making by Korean physiotherapists while treating PLBP. Methods: In total, 955 questionnaires were distributed mainly in places of continuing education held by the Korean Physical Therapy Association from April to July 2019. The same questionnaire was posted on a website used by physiotherapists. We collected subject information, a specific Vignette typically represent symptoms of PLBP, and responses to multiple questions about decision making, subjective recognition and interest level in the field of women's health physiotherapy (WHPT). Results: The overall response rate was 56% (n = 537); of these, responses to 520 questionnaires were analyzed. Most respondents chose various combinations of physical therapy methods. There were significant differences in subjective recognition levels of WHPT according to gender (p < 0.05), age (p < 0.01), education level (p < 0.01), and clinical experience (p < 0.05). There were significant differences in interest according to gender (p < 0.01) and education level (p < 0.01). With respect to the types of treatment, significant differences were noted in selective rates for "manual therapy", "pain control", and "supportive devices" based on gender. Manual therapy tended to be chosen more with increasing age and clinical experience. With increased education level, there were fewer choices for the use of pain control. Conclusion: This is the first data on how Korean physiotherapists manage PLBP patients using the vignette method. We were able to recognize the Korean physical therapist's decision on PLBP patients, and observed statistically significant correlations. This may aid in developing future research and education plans in the WHPT field.

  • This paper extracted formal characteristics appearing repetitively in Kim Ji Heon's scenario works making a study of them and examined them from the perspective of the aspects of the confrontation between the author' external environments and the world of his creation. This viewpoint comprehensively implies the two aspects of the acceptance of public needs and the creativity his scenarios have in universal characteristics of the film and scenario community where he made his debut as a scenario writer and played activities most actively. In addition, we investigated how literary features are expressed concretely in the world of his works who has been evaluated as a writer with excellent 'literary value.' His scenario world whose base is humanity and existential questions also performs a function as the reading scenario by realizing one literary perfection in itself and poetic description rather than referential function as a film script, which indicates the aspects of values his scenarios have in the existing creation practice focused on story telling, and especially, in the case of "Manchoo-Late fall" it was found that it expanded the areas of literary value through the beauty of modern form. Through this analysis it is seen that the need was exposed to reconsider problematic recognitions that he was not able to be positioned properly as a writer despite the excellent literary values of Kim Ji Heon's scenarios. This study has a meaning as a start in our research climate where the research on Korean scenario writers is not made in an earnest way but it is necessary to keep making more thorough studies including other scenarios which are not organized into the collection of works, and it is also necessary to make a comparative study with cinematized film texts in our view.

  • The purpose of research is to investigate patterns and diffusion of consumer participation on Internet UCC based on digital contents services. A sample survey of internet users was conducted, responses were collected from 629 respondents and consumer streaming data were analyzed. Some of the practical implications of the results are follows. Research can find out that patterns of user participation in UCC. The major genres of UCC are like daily lives of individuals, humors, parodies of star entertainers and types of contents like still pictures or images, texts are relatively highly generated comparing with multimedia UCC. Although participants have been being increased in UCC recently, the consumers as prosumers who are classified in contents generating group are ten percents at the most. In generating community-based UCC such as posting answers of questions and activities in Blog, prosumers who are in contents making group(recreational group) show more positive attitudes than simple participants(consuming only). The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that fun & entertainment, arousal, self-expression, user friendly web interface variable commonly posited a significant effect in multimedia UCC Services between two groups. Information sharing and perceived usefulness posited a significant effect in recreational group.

  • The coordination of a three-level supply chain consisting of a supplier, a retailer, and a discount outlet (DCO) is studied here. We assume that the product is sold in two consecutive periods a Normal Sales Period (NSP) and a subsequent Clearance Salvage Period (CSP). A benchmark case is studied Initially in which the supply chain is coordinated by a s1n91e agent. Thus, the supplier the retailer, and the discount outlet design a common system that allows centralized decision making about stocking quantities, markdown time schedules, and policies on disposing of leftovers to deliver the greatest possible expected supply chain profit. Next, we consider a decentralized supply chain. Here, decisions are made without coordination. The objective is to maximize an individual party's expected profits. The focus of the study is on the following questions: what factors make the coordination an effective approach for the supply chain? How do we coordinate the supply chain so as to maximize the supply chain Joint expected profit? These and other related study issues are explored in this paper.

  • Purpose - Corporate activities for enhancing and improving corporate performance can largely be divided into exploration and exploitation. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of implementing organizational ambidexterity in SMEs, including distribution firms, by reviewing the extant literature and deriving the basis on which this strategy affects the managerial performance. Research, design, and methodology - The study uses a systematic review methodology, which employs a structured process to discern trends and meaningful themes across a wide body of literature on specific subjects and research questions. This qualitative study examined the influence of ambidextrous strategies of SMEs on firm performance, and the results were synthesized from the literature. Results - Organizational ambidexterity in SMEs is related to the firm's managerial performance. However, it is crucial to know that there are many ways to generate an ambidextrous organization, and decisions about what method to choose should be based on the environmental aspects of the enterprise. Conclusions - The following aspects should be considered for execution; : making practical decisions based on accurate information about the resources the firm has, considering the organizational level of human resources for implementing organizational ambidexterity, and sharing specific performance goals.

  • Purpose: Geographical relocation has been conducted to alleviate overcrowding and to support balanced regional development in many countries. Previous studies have seldom examined the effectiveness of relocation on job and life dissatisfaction, particularly in the public sector. The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of relocation on job and life dissatisfaction. Proposed research questions include the following: i) do working conditions in the new workplace and interactivity affect job dissatisfaction? ii) do social infrastructure and social activity in the new location affect life dissatisfaction? and iii) is there a relationship between job and life dissatisfaction? Research Design, data, and methodology: The study collected data via an online survey and applied statistical analyses such as factor analysis, regression, and ANOVA. Results: The results of this study found that proposed determinants excluding mobility inefficiency and decision-making affect job and life dissatisfaction. The results also showed that there are relationships between job and life dissatisfaction. Conclusions: The results of this study provide both managerial and policy implications of relocation for the public sector. The results of this study implied that better policy should be designed to increase job and life satisfaction that also accounts for the realities of relocation.

  • In a situation that ordinal preferences on multiattribute weights are captured, we present two solution approaches: an exact approach and an approximate method. The former, an exact solution approach via interaction with a decision-maker, pursues the progressive reduction of a set of non-dominated alternatives by narrowing down the feasible attribute weights region. Subsequent interactive questions and responses, however, sometimes may not guarantee the best alternative or a complete rank order of a set of alternatives that the decision-maker desires to have. Approximate solution approaches, on the other hand, can be divided into three categories including surrogate weights methods, dominance value-based decision rules, and three classical decision rules. Their efficacies are evaluated in terms of choice accuracy via a simulation analysis. The simulation results indicate that a proposed hybrid approach, intended to combine an exact solution approach through interaction and a dominance value-based approach, is recommendable for aiding a decision making in a case that a final choice is seldom made at single step under attribute weights that are imprecisely specified beyond ordinal descriptions.

  • Epidemiology and preventive medicine are changing together with Population and health and with ever expanding medical and non medical technologies. New technologies make epidemiology methodologically more sophisticated, but such advances risk overshadowing epidemiology's most important role: raising questions, providing answers, and helping the medical decision-making at ail levels of prevention. Epidemiology also plays a major role in the evaluation of new and other technologies whose effectiveness is poorly known. Epidemiological approaches, methods, techniques, and interpretations are widely used in new and rapidly expanding fields of medicine: research evaluation and synthesis (meta-analysis), establishment of guidelines for clinical preventive practices, new medical technology assessment, guidelines for national and international health policies, evidence-based medicine, outcomes research and disease management ('population-based' medicine and quality of care improvement). In the nearest future, infectious and noninfectious diseases may cease to be almost the sole subjects of epidemiology and they may share their place with other mass phenomena of the next millennium, such as medical practices and care, or political, social and economic actions and their consequences. Not only will primary, secondary, and tertiary Prevention will remain in the epidemiological mainstream, but health protection and health promotion will require perhaps a redefinition of epidemiology in these domains. Epidemiology and preventive medicine are both subjects of medical ethics and dilemma for right choices.
