W세대 메이크업 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Characteristics of Make-up in the W-Generation)

  • 21C, the age of culture, has the effects on the whole aspects in society with its cultural features, and the social changes become the foundation to create the new culture. The W generation, which accounts for Woman, World, Well-being, and Web, etc, leads the trend as 'a new group of powerful consumers' of establishing a new pattern. The W generation prefers psychidelic make-up using pearl through the cyber space, a space for communication like the N generation. In addition, through the Internet, leading the society of fusion or hybrid, with gender and age broken-up, the feminine as well as kidult-like make-up has emerged. On the other hand, with the influence of well-being on the whole society, well-looking appears outside, and lohas inside. The W generation prefers glossy make-up in order to make the skin healthy and polished, and eco-friendly products with lohas.

Social Network Comparison of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN on Twitter Using NodeXL

  • We analyze and compare the structure of the networks of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN, which are forerunners in OTT market, on Twitter. This study employs NodeXL pro as a visualization software package for social network analysis. As a result of the comparison with values of Vertices, Connected Components, Average Geodesic Distance, Average Betweenness Centrality, and Average Closeness Centrality. Netflix has comparative advantages at Vertices, Connected Components, and Average Closeness Centrality, OCN at Average Geodesic Distance, and Disney+ at Average Betweenness Centrality. Netflix has a more appropriate social network for influencer marketing than Disney+ and OCN. Based on the analysis results, the purpose of this study is to explain the structural differences in the social networks of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN in terms of influencer marketing.

페미니스트 패션 브랜드의 특성과 여성 이미지 (The characteristics of feminist fashion brands and female images)

  • This study selected fashion brands claiming to advocate feminism to analyze their characteristics and female images. For the study's data, online foreign feminist fashion brands were sifted from March 2017 to January 2018 and 28 clothing brands were selected. The study's results show that feminist fashion brands aim at the demassification and individualization of fashion products to be more inclusive of individuals' physical characteristics and diversity. Additionally, feminist brands entice consumption through communication and participation in online communities and through the value of social coexistence. The essential female image produced by feminist fashion brands deconstructs a socially idealized female image and expresses a sense of self-body positivity. In turn, the concept of self-body positivity is communicated through natural images of independent women with distinct identities based on differences in race, culture, and sexual orientation. Moreover, feminist fashion brands produce social images featuring independent women using active wear to engage in social activities. Casual wear is also used to reflect active women, while mannish looks and power suits express women's social status and professional abilities. Ultimately, these offer functionally active and rational images, combined with female images featuring long hair and makeup. Yet another type of female image seeks to create a new vision of women as diverse due to their various cultures, countries of origin, races, and individual tastes. These new images express women's physical differences, distinct identities, and diversity while simultaneously deconstructing pre-existing forms of clothing.

  • The fashion product image preference changes depending on one's lifestyle and personal inclination. Women want to show the fashion product image preference, often through their clothing and makeup choices. Brand image includes those elements related to the brand. Advertising is the primary method for introducing brands. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fashion product image preference on emphasis of brand image and advertising factor evaluation targeting working women in their 20s and 30s. The fashion product image preference was s sophisticated image. Preference for a sophisticated image has a significant effect on emphasis of brand image when selecting fashion products. Emphasis of brand image has a notable effect on the brand direct advertising factor evaluation. Fashion product image preference has a significant effect on both brand's direct and indirect advertising factor evaluation. When selecting a fashion product (clothing and cosmetics), brand image importance was found to have a positive effect on a brand's direct advertising factor evaluation. Therefore, fashion companies should take advantage of their brand logo. Companies should also pay attention to clothing and product containers used in advertising to show the brand. In addition, every company should create an advertising image that represents their overall brand, by using a combination of detailed advertising factor evaluation.

1920년대와 1960년대의 패션에 나타난 유사성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Similarity of Fashion in the 1920′s and 1960′s)

  • This paper analyzes the similarity of fashion in the 1920's and 1960's. Fashion is a reflection of Zeitgeist. The similarity of fashion appeared in the similar social ideal period. The fashion of the 1920's and 1960's have a lot of similarity in many respects. Androgyny was the new word. The woman cut her hair short, wore short skirt, and projected a self-confidence that was considered by many to be too masculine. The new fashions also appeared very youthful. The cult of eternal youth was born. The mature woman was no longer requested. Instead, in the face of changing lifestyles and extremely rapid technological development, taste ran in favor of a young, athletic, and mobile ideal. The new fashions do-emphasized curvaceous shapes through short dresses and short hair-both styles were supposed to express youthfulness. Characteristic of the times was the short loose dress: straight silhouette disguised feminine curves. The new dresses were invented for very young, slim, and wide-eyed women. The common Zeitgeist of the 1920's and 1960's represents the cult of youth and the adoption of innovative style, which emphasized decoration-cleared simplicity, functionality, practicality, activity, androgyny. Innovative short skirt, youth fashion, androgynous style, unisex style, tubular silhouette, short hair style, and eyeline-emphasized makeup were analyzed by the similarity of fashion in the 1920's and 1960's.

뷰티 메이크업을 위한 포토샵 리터칭 기법 연구 (A Study of Photoshop Retouching Technique for Beauty Make-up)

  • With supplied computers and the development of information and communication thropugh the Internet, the space of personal home pages in potal sites has been filled with photos taken by digital cameras, and 'the introduction of privacy' done in the personal home pages has become a general trend in society. As the use of Photoshop, available to edit and modify digital photos, in this social atmosphere, has grown general, they have shown their interest in the retouching technique of Photoshop. Computer graphics, marked based on the treatment of a variety of information into pictures or a technology to mark it, recently various application methods have been found in make-up. Especially, Adobe Photoshop, used to edit and modify images, is a sofetware program proper to perform beauty make-up in correcting and creating images in an effective way. The purpose of this study is to express each factor in Adobe Photoshop CS2 about the beauty make-up. As a result, I can say, the process that digital image is retouched by Adobe Photoshop CS is similar work to beauty make-up. The process of Photoshop retouching can be used as the materials for educating of make-up and as the materials for presentation of beauty make-up trend. And also we can serve the simulation to the customer before real make-up. Therefore, this study is for the effective performance of diverse beauty makeup integrating retouch technique with Photoshop CS.

A Study on the Improvement for Problems of ICT-related laws system in Korea

  • Korea's laws regarding ICT must follow the Void for vagueness doctrine, the Principle of forbidden general delegation, the Principle of justification of system and the Principle of balancing test in the Constitution. The Act for the Promotion and Convergence and so on of Information and Communication in the Future should be improved as follows. It is desirable to improve the part where the principle of system justification of the Constitution is problematic in relation to existing laws. It is desirable to improve the ICT's policies on industry and convergence technologies so that they are well balanced between promotion and regulation of ICT's industries. It is desirable to improve the information service policy and legislative makeup relationship between various government agencies related to ICT. It is therefore desirable to improve the institutional complement to the post-regulatory framework for the protection of users of ICT in the future. It is desirable to create a device to replace the functions of the Information Service Budget Council in the special law of ICT.

  • Perceptions of beauty change and are shared with others in the media of emotional words. In the modern age, a mix of traditional and modern make-up cultures has changed the standards of beauty. Therefore, an analysis using emotional words (an image that consumers have for certain subjects) and an image scale that intuitively shows them can be an important means for understanding changes in the "beauty of the time". This paper considered changes in typical aesthetic characteristics that women pursued through make-up by analyzing emotional words in white make-up powder advertisement texts from the 1920s through the 1930s. Imported modern technologies changed cosmetic manufacturing techniques and advertising methods to create a momentum that changed women's make-up culture from light to heavy make-up or from white to color make-up. Such changes have led to changes in the perception of beauty and were expressed through sensitive vocabularies such as pure, new, fresh, lofty, lively, healthy, and cheery. Such changes reflect social aspects such as women's aspirations for high status, pursuit of security, or women's roles under the wartime regime to show a change from beauty with an attribute of [+cool] to that of [+soft].

  • 본 연구는 화장 경험에 관한 여성 소비자의 내러티브 사례를 토대로 소비 중심 사회에서 개인에게 '의미 추구 소비'가 가능한지, 가능하다면 개개인은 이를 어떻게 지각하고 획득하는지 심층적으로 밝혀보고자 하였다. 내러티브 사례분석 결과, 여성들은 기본적으로 화장품의 기능적 소비 및 쾌락적 소비과정을 통해 신체적 외모 관리 및 사회적 변모를 달성할 목적으로 화장을 전략적으로 활용하고 있었지만, 여성에게 화장이 일상의 의례적 소비의 반복적이고 지속적인 실천 행위가 되면서 자기 삶의 과정에서 나름의 주관적 우선순위에 따라 사회 세계와 생활세계에서의 다양한 이슈와 변화를 이해하고 자기의 존재론적 가치를 확신하기 위해 독특한 방식으로 의미 추구 소비가 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Formatively and artistically aspect, a hybrid can be said to be a phenomenon in which two mutually different genres are combined. Make-up is thought to be very important to arrange the foundation available for predicting and pursuing a flow and direction of future hybrid make-up based on this, by analyzing a flow centering on hybrid trend, which was shown previously. In terms of objectives of this study, the first, aim is to suggest a model for researching make-up by grasping the developmental process and the characteristics of hybrid art through considering an art theory of hybridity, shown in make-up. The second, aim is to design make-up by analyzing trends in make-up style after deconstructing the hybrid genre. The modern make-up design through genre-deconstruction characteristics beyond diverse plurality and genre could be known to be highlighted as aesthetic characteristic by a slight attempt as communication of open space, which connects culture and genre, which had failed to be recognized and was neglected. Empirical research has, produced a work by systematically arranging make-up design. This study, identifies two kind of barrier demolition, such as the class deconstruction and the temporal, spatial disorder centering on genre deconstruction of hybrid. There are infinite possibilities in developing make-up design in line with modern sensation through aesthetic element and symbolic significance through genre deconstruction. It was the expression mode in future make-up, to providing basic data, and to strengthening competitive edge of culture and art.
