  • Objective: This study aimed to introduce Health Impact Assessment using the case of a HIA on 2008 Dream Start Project in Cheongju. Methods: We followed the typical procedure of HIA recommended by the Merseyside Guidelines on HIA. In scoping, the steering committee decided 5 key domains of child health to be assessed: prenatal care, vaccination, nutrition, access to health care, and child abuse and also the methods of collecting the evidence. The HIA appraisal team collected information from various sources including literature, community survey, and focus group interviews. The HIA appraisal team also synthesized the collected information in terms of the nature of health impacts and equity and made recommendations accordingly. Results: Positive impacts were expected in prenatal care, vaccination, and nutrition, while negative impacts were expected in access to health care. The impact of Dream Start on child abuse was uncertain. Several recommendations were made and submitted to the Dream Start team for their consideration. About 2 years later, we found many of them were implemented in 2009 Dream Start project. Conclusion: HIA was found to be applicable and effective to make decision makers in the welfare sector consider health in their work.

  • The dream is a well-known experience in the routine life. It is necessary to consider the dream to modality of diagnosis because many evidences that the dream represents the physiologic and pathologic changes in the human have been proved in recent days. The oneironosus(病夢) was caused by three factors, which are the external stresses of the body, malfunction of Jang-Bu(臟腑) and irregular of Yin-Yang(陰陽) and Gi-blood(氣血). The oneironosus(病夢) reflects the location, characteristics, progression and prognosis of the disease. In addition, it predicts the development of disease. The principle of treatment for the oneironosus(病夢) is making an effort for the stabilization of mind by eradicating the internal and external factors that make the spirit(神) been unstable.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current status of the Dream Start program from the perspective of social investment strategy, and as well as to suggest future directions. The program has become a major government welfare program in korea since it was introduced in 2007 as a demonstration project, following research evidence and a sound rationale about the extensive success of Head Start in the U.S. and Sure Start Programme in the UK. The aim of Dream Start is to provide integrated services for the vulnerable children, aged 0 to 12, and their families who are identified using a national administration data record of disadvantaged families with children. In order to promote the vulnerable child's well-being, to overcome inequalities, and to give every child the best start in life, Dream Start adopted a local, "whole family" approach. Case management services form an essential part of the Dream Start to customize and integrate comprehensive services such as counseling, health care, parenting advice and education, academic tutoring, and after-school activities. Although there has been a general improvement in key factors since its inception, Dream Start has not yet sufficiently shown the strong and hoped-for impact. In the meantime, Dream Start must be given financial expansion and extensive policy supports to get the chance of realizing and evaluating long-term gains for children and their families. More work need to be done to overcome inequalities and to make Dream Start service more accessible for the most disadvantaged families with children in Korea. Practical and policy suggestions for future directions of the Dream Start programs were discussed.

  • Phalaenopsis (Phal.) "Yellow Dream" was developed by the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA) in 2005. This hybrid came from the progenies of a cross between Phal. "3031" which has yellow colored petals and small plant size, and Phal. "Golden Emperor" which has yellow colored petals with red spots and small plant size in 1995. "Yellow Dream" was finally selected in 2005 after the investigation of the growth and flower characteristics from 2000 to 2004. "Yellow Dream" had a yellow (Y4D) base color and light orange stripe petals (ORN34A) with a red lip (R42D). The average leaf length and flower width of "Yellow Dream" were 21cm and 6.8cm, respectively. It has a half erect leaf form and is a fast growing cultivar. This hybrid is relatively easy to make clones.

  • This paper focuses on the specificities and semantic meaning of Mikhail Bulgakov's metadrama White Guard and The Flight. The standard conception of metadrama is to purposefully break the dramatic illusion and make bare a playwright's self-consciousness of the theatrical art itself. With the use of the metadrama Bulgakov expressed the essentials of ugly reality, which he couldn't accept as a valuable truth. In this respect, Bulgakov's metadrama becomes at once a window, from which he views the external world in the theatrical vision, and a mirror, in which his political and existential stance as a playwright is reflected. In White Guard Bulgakov described the already theatricalized reality through several instances of 'play-within-play'. In The Flight, composed of eight pieces of dream, a life turned out to be a less solid and less firm reality than dream. Continuously demolishing the cognitive wall between reality and illusion, Bulgakov leads spectators to have a reflective view on the reality. Allowing more powerful demonstrativeness for a play-within-play than for a play-within-play, Bulgakov elevates a metadramatic technique to the level of thematic structure.

Methods : There were 610 patients(258 men, 352 women) who answered questionnaire and were diagnosed by the Sasang Constitution Specialist at Constitutional Clinic of Dongguk Bundang Oriental Hospital. Using the response of questionnaire and several statistical techniques such as homogeneity test and multiple comparison, we tried to find the characteristics of each constitution depending on its sleep behaviors. 3. Results : As a result of the analysis of questionnaire, Soeumin has many dreams in comparison with other constitution(p<0.01). Taeumin and Soyangin have a few dream in comparison with Soeumin(p<0.01). • Marcel Wanders, one of the greatest designers in the world of contemporary design, was born in the Netherlands. His works run the gamut from interior design to furniture design to lighting design, building a unique world of works. He started to gain fame when he presented "Knotted Chair" at Droog Design in 1996, which was made out of aramid ropes and later became his symbol. In 2000, he established "moooi," a world-renowned design label. By giving characteristic qualities, his works are given meaning, and like a fantastical dream, their images are extremely fantastical and stimulating. As can be seen in his character cover, he puts emphasis on the harmony between minimalism and decoration, establishing his own unique design concept. In this thesis, based on Marcel Wander's design philosophy, his overall design characteristics were classified into theatrical effects and storytelling. Expressive elements depaysement, eclectic mixture, and scale modification were derived from theatrical effects and analyzed; for storytelling, object, semantic cues, and dream and fantasy were derived and analyzed. A distinguishing feature of such analysis is his meaning-centric design approach, the principle by which to form long-term relationships with the users by creating user-centric designs that make them find meaning and values in diverse experiences in their daily routine, giving them familiar yet unique experience.

  • Conventional switching systems have been using flat file systems or relational database systems to deal with their operational data. However, newly emerged requirements for advanced switching systems make relational database systems no longer proper solutions. This paper defines object-oriented interfaces that effectively incorporate data characteristics of switching systems. In addition, it exemplifies how the method works on an actual database systems for the TDX-10 switching system.
