This study is intended to propose a plan index that can be used in the early stage of a museum design based on theoretical review of a major space of a museum including its spatial division, functions and roles. The scope of the study includes functions and roles of circulation in a major space based on precedent studies. The spatial range is limited to a major space among exhibition spaces in a museum. This study analyzes overseas 14 museums. In terms of methodology, the study analyzes circulation in a descriptive way only In the focusing on floor plan and section composition. The results of this study are as follows. First, vertical elements should be critically considered in a circulation plan for functional performance of dimensional circulation distribution in a major space. Second, a plan by location of vertical and horizontal moving elements related to a major space affects a circulation relation more than a connection type between a major space and an exhibition area.
This study aims to analyze general features and forms of spatial structure of major space in museums and for the scope of this study, set up major space and the surrounding areas structured around major space and for the target of analysis, selected 10 museums of overseas examples from 19th century to 2006. And this study on focus, on the circulation structure and visual structure will be analyzed in qualitative method by focusing on the floor plan and section structures; deepening process of analysis, visual structure will turn into numerical value to analyze the spatial structure of the major space. The results of this study are as follow. First, vertical elements should be critically considered in a circulation plan for functional performance of dimensional circulation distribution in a major space. Second, a plan by location of vertical and horizontal moving elements related to a major space affects a circulation relation more than a connection type between a major space and an exhibition area. Third, it could be categorized into 4 types by considering the features of spatial structure followed by connecting relationship between areas. Fourth, comparable figures were drawn out among large space and surrounding areas but it couldn't draw out types.
We present galaxy luminosity functions (LFs) of subgroups in the Ursa Major cluster. The membership of galaxies is determined by radial velocities which are compiled from the SDSS and NED. We found that the faint end slope (${\alpha}$) of the LF of all sample galaxies in Ursa Major is ${\alpha}=-1.13$. This is consistent with previous result, but shallower than that of the Virgo cluster. Interestingly, the subgroups in Ursa Major show different slopes in their LFs. The NGC 3992 and NGC 4111, the massive subgroups in the Ursa Major cluster, exhibit steep slopes of their LFs comparable to that of the Virgo cluster. On the other hand, less massive group (NGC 3877) shows a very shallow slope of -0.84. Based on the results, we discuss the evolution of galaxies and the assembly history of the Ursa Major cluster.
Major countries in space field such as the United States, China and Russia have not only general ground-based space capabilities, but also maritime-based space capabilities. Maritime-based space systems include a maritime-based space surveillance system, a maritime-based space launch vehicle, and a maritime-based space information transmission system, and these maritime-based systems complement the ground-based space systems. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the maritime-based space capabilities of major countries, and propose the future direction for south Korea's maritime-based space capabilities. The maritime-based space system is essential due to the geographical characteristics of south Korea, which has three sides of the ocean, and it is considered an one of important strategic element to become the seven major country in the space field.
According to the change in diverse tendency of residents, construction companies has developed the brands of apartments with the concepts of LOHAS, well-being, ubiquitous, etc. The purpose of this study was to suggest space requirement and planning for residents characteristics. The questionnaire survey was adopted in this study and 252 cases were used for data analysis. The survey analysis has been made by using of SPSS WIN 12.0. The major findings were as follows; (1) Resident opinion about the direction of each space was investigated into the need of South-facing in master bedroom highly. (2) The residents didn't want to decrease the current size of each space, the space which wanted to increase was livingroom. (3) The significant variables of space requirement and planning for residents characteristics were family life cycle, the age of householder, the occupation of householder, the size of apartment.

We present ultraviolet (UV) properties of dwarf galaxies in the Ursa Major cluster comparing with those in the Virgo cluster. We have constructed SDSS DR7/GALEX GR5 matched optical/UV catalog for dwarf galaxies with various morphologies in these two clusters. Membership of galaxies belonging to the Ursa Major cluster was made by hierarchical grouping method using SDSS spectroscopic data. We classified morphologies of dwarf galaxies using the combination of visual inspection of the images and spectral features returned from SDSS data. In contrast to the case of the Virgo cluster, majority of dwarf galaxies in the Ursa Major cluster lies in the blue cloud of the UV color-magnitude relations (CMRs) implying strong recent or on-going star formation. We discuss the cluster environment on the star formation history and evolution of dwarf galaxies.
Archival long-slit spectra, covering the wavelength range 4050~5150$\AA$, have been used to investigate the radial behavior of absorption line features (G4300, Fe4383, Ca4455, Fe44531, Fe4668, and H$\beta$) of an eliptical galaxy NGC 5322. The heliocentric recession velocity of NGC 5322 has been derived as 1888$\pm$51kms-1. Metallic absorption lines of NGC 5322 show significant radial gradients through the major axis. The minor axis shows much smaller radial metal line gradients than the major axis. The minor axis shows much smaller radial metal line gradients than the major axis. The mean slopes of Fe line gradients to the major and minor axes of NGC 5322 were estimated as -0.433$\pm$0.064 and -0.242$\pm$0.096, respectively. Significant radial gradients of H$\beta$ absorption of NGC 5322 are also detected both on the major and minor axes. It is shown that the radial metallicity gradients in NGC 5322 are smaller than expected in a simple dissipative collapse model. Rather, dissipationless collapse, such as hierarchical merhing, could have contributed during the initial stage of the galaxy formation.

In this study, in order to foster human resources equipped with expertise in libraries and spatial organization that contributes to the development of libraries, planning, design, and construction, the self-designed library space planning major was developed and the education goal, human resources award, and major capabilities were presented. To this end, the relevant literature analysis, expert opinion collection, and consumer survey were conducted, and the results are as follows. First, the person-in-person awards required for library space planning were identified as space planning personnel, design thinking personnel, and creative working people. Second, the person-specific majors were derived with the ability to analyze the library environment, ability to express spatial concepts, ability to analyze user needs, ability to coordinate interests, ability to understand spatial design, ability to understand spatial design, and ability to apply practical applications. Based on the plan, subjects should be developed that can fulfill the educational goals of the future library space planning major, human resources award, and human resources status, and operation plans should be designed so that the library space planning major can adapt students without fail due to its own design-based major.
