The purpose of study is to investigate the effect of life stress on university life satisfaction and majors' From April 2, 2018 to April 23, 2018, 364 students enrolled in Jeollanam-do and Gwangju were enrolled. The university life satisfaction and major satisfaction according to the general characteristics were the highest in the subjective health condition. Among the stresses of life, the professions were high in the interpersonal relations area and the academic problems were the highest among the task areas. The total stress of life was the lowest in 6-8 hours in the case of usual sleeping time. The major factor influencing college life satisfaction was majors' satisfaction. The major factor influencing major satisfaction was college life satisfaction, and the higher the life stress, the lower the satisfaction of major. Therefore, I would like to use this data as basic data for the development of programs that can alleviate life stress of University students.

Purpose: This study examines the clinical practice satisfaction and major satisfaction of dental technology students who have experienced clinical practice to identify whether there is an effect on employment intention of satisfaction level as a basis for increasing the employment rate of dental technicians. Methods: A survey was distributed among 150 dental technology students, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency and correlation analyses. Finally, multiple regression analysis was used to verify the research hypotheses. All statistical analyses were carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 27.0 (IBM). Results: The students exhibited high levels of satisfaction with their clinical practice (4.20) and dental technology major (4.07). Further analysis showed a positive correlation between intention to work in dental laboratories and satisfaction with a dental technology major (practice; r=0.437, p<0.05); clinical practice organization (r=0.682, p<0.05); and satisfaction with the clinical practice institution (r=0.650, p<0.05). Statistically significant positive associations (p<0.05) were also observed between clinical practice form and environment, satisfaction with dental technology major, and school region (i.e., metropolitan area). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that high levels of satisfaction with clinical practice and dental technology major can contribute to increased employment rates among dental technicians by promoting their intention to work in the related industry.

The purposes of this study were to examine major satisfaction and career decision level of Home Economics Education major college students, to investigate factors influencing on major satisfaction and career decision level, and to provide basic informations for career counseling. A survey was conducted to students majoring Home Economics Education at four universities, and students majoring Korean Language Education and Mathematics Education at one same university in Seoul from October to November, 2011. General satisfaction in major of Home Economics Edu. students was above average, but social perception satisfaction was low. The social perception satisfaction was lower for Home Economics edu. students than Korean Language edu. and Mathematics edu. students. There were significant differences in major satisfaction by university and class standing, but no significant difference by gender. Students showed the lowest value in Home Economics teacher as considering job, and most of students considered teacher and major unconcerned job. Students considering major concerned job showed higher major satisfaction compared to students considering major unconcerned job. Career decision level was medium and there were not significant differences in career decision level by major, university, class standing, gender, considering job. Career decision level was affected positively by only general satisfaction in major.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate how one's motive to choose a major of study, career values, and satisfaction with the major affect immersion within the major. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire on choice of major and career values was completed by 224 students from March 2nd to March 15th of 2022. The collected data were analyzed using several metrics and tests with IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 software: frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and linear regression. Results: The average scores of the motive to choose a major, career values, satisfaction with the major, and immersion in the major were 3.15, 3.91, 3.56, and 3.45, respectively. There were significant correlations between all four variables (p<0.05). Career values and satisfaction with the major positively influenced a student's immersion in that major; the explanatory power of the model was 77% (p<0.01). Conclusion: The department should offer education on career values to further increase the immersion of dental technician students within their chosen major.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair and determine if major satisfaction had any mediating effect on the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior. For this purpose, research was conducted in 154 college students majoring in hair in B Region. Such instruments as the major selection motive inventory, the major satisfaction inventory, and the employment preparation behavior inventory were used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, product moment correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the mediating effects of major satisfaction on the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair and Sobel test was carried out to determine the significance of the mediating effects. This study obtained the following results: First, among the major selection motives, the personal motives were positively correlated with major satisfaction and employment preparation behavior, and major satisfaction was positively correlated with employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Second, the personal motives and major satisfaction affected employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Third, major satisfaction exerted partially mediating effects on the association between the personal motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Major satisfaction partially affected the association between the social motives and employment preparation behavior.

This study was conducted to identify the relationships among professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy and major satisfaction in nursing students. Data were collected from 137 nursing students by means of self reported questionnaires about professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy, and major satisfaction from October 19 to 23, 2017. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. There were significant correlations among professional self-concept, academic self-efficacy, and major satisfaction. Predictor that has an effect on major satisfaction was professional self-concept among nursing students. This factor explains thirty-six percentile of total variances of major satisfaction. This study suggests that professional self-concept is positively influenced on major satisfaction. To enhance major satisfaction for nursing students, it is necessary to develop specific course or training program in curriculum for increasing professional self-concept.

This study aims to analyze the differences in major satisfaction among college students by gender and university type(public, private), and what are the college education service factors that affect major satisfaction. Using data from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey, a total of 1,220 students' data were analyzed using SPSS 23, and descriptive statistics, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed. As a result of the study, first, there was no significant difference in major satisfaction by gender or university type. Second, it was found that the service factors of university education had a significant influence on major satisfaction in the order of curriculum, educational content, student support system, and faculty and educational facilities had no significant effect on major satisfaction. Through this, in order to increase major satisfaction of college students, which is the competitiveness of the university, it is necessary to reorganize the curriculum and educational contents to improvement the quality of education and develop competence based on the needs of society and students.

Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationships between multiple intelligence, academic self-efficacy, satisfaction with major in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 490 dental hygiene students in Jeonbuk from March to April, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of 119 questions of multiple intelligences, 28 questions of academic self-efficacy, 5 questions of satisfaction with major by Likert 5 scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation test, and stepwise multiple regression test using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The students had the highest score in interpersonal intelligence(3.57) and the lowest in naturalist intelligence(2.66). There was a positive correlation between the multiple intelligences, academic self-efficacy and satisfaction with major(p<0.05). The impact of multiple intelligences on academic self-efficacy was influenced by logical-mathematical intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, musical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, and linguistic intelligence(p<0.05). The variables that had an impact on multiple intelligences and satisfaction with major were interpersonal intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence(p<0.01). Conclusions: The development of multiple intelligences can enhance the satisfaction with the major, quality of education, academic self-efficacy in the dental hygiene students.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to examine the level and relationship of incivility through clinical experience and major satisfaction in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 357 dental hygiene students in six universities from November 1 to December 1, 2015. The questionnaire by five point Likert scale consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (6 items), incivility (20 items), and major satisfaction (6 items). Incivility was divided into three factors of staff, doctors, and patients & visitors. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics of variables, multiple response cross analysis, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis. Results: The mean of incivility and major satisfaction was 2.23 and 3.29, respectively. The incivility of staff, doctors, and patients & visitors showed negative correlations with major satisfaction. Conclusions: The incivility through clinical experience is associated with major satisfaction negative. These results suggest that we need to develop remedy such as positive attitude dealing with incivility and implementing similar environment education during clinical training at school and dealing with stress.

The purpose of this paper was to identify the relationship among the MBTI personality types, self-efficacy, major satisfaction and freshmen's academic achievements in airline service department. To this end, a survey was conducted in 113 university freshmen of airline service department from June 18 to 29, 2018. And the data were collected their MBTI results and GPA scores. MBTI results used to analyze student's personality type. The collected data were analyzed using 'SPSS Statistics 21.0'. Analysis methods such as frequency analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were used. The findings of this study are as follows. The type of personality in the airline service department affects the self - efficacy such as self - control efficacy, confidence, preference of the task difficulty, and also affects the major satisfaction and the academic achievement. The self - efficacy affects the major satisfaction and the academic achievement, and also the major satisfaction can affect academic achievement. Therefore, by developing an effective teaching strategies that fits students' personality type characteristics, and by inducing motivation to learn, raising self-efficacy naturally will lead to higher major satisfaction and academic achievements.
