선내 탑재 마운팅 장비의 동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Dynamic Characteristics of Onboard Machinery with Resilient Mounts)

  • This study is performed to evaluate and design the dynamic characteristics of the onboard machinery with resilient mounts. To avoid resonance with onboard machinery and external force, it is necessary to calculate natural frequencies of the resilient mounting system more accurately. Natural frequencies of on board machinery are determined by rigid body properties(mass, moment of inertia, center of mass) of machinery and stiffness of mounts. But it is very difficult to calculate rigid body properties theoretically. And stiffness properties of rubber mounts vary with dynamic displacement, pre load, frequency and temperature, and so on. In this study, we have identified rigid body properties using experimental modal analysis and estimated dynamic stiffness of rubber mount for onboard machinery using measured vibration response during seatrial. We measured displacement excitation through deck under mounts and evaluated relationship between modes of resilient mounting system and main excitation sources of a ship.

  • This study was aimed to establish failure management plan of the rubber-tired AGT light rail vehicle for its safety case, which was developed according to the Korean standardized specifications for the light rail vehicle. Vehicular 9 failure modes anticipated during the system operation were considered, which are single malfunction of redundant equipment, malfunction of train radio, public address and air compressor, battery, main circuit NFB trip, on-board ATO control device malfunction, on-board ATP control device malfunction, fail of brake release, flat tire, train emergency door open.

  • The reduction of the structure-borne noise is very important in order to reduce the noise of a ship. The noise at the high frequency range usually comes from the fluid flowing. The noise from the sea-water conveying pipe is one of the main source on these high frequency range. Therefore, the transmissibility variations are evaluated according to the shape of the rubber mount. The evaluations are performed with the frequency response function numerically and experimentally.

  • The charge and discharge current in EPR(Ethylene Propylene Rubber), which were irradiated with the radiant capacity of 0~600 [kgy/h], have been measured in order to investigate the influence of the atmosphere (oxygen, air and vacuum) on electrical properties. It has been shown that the charge and discharge current increase as the amount of radiant capacity increases in air and vacuum atmosphere. This electrical property degradation can be speculated due to that the C=O radicals or impurities, which comes from during shaping process, may act as dipoles. On the other hand, the charge and discharge current are shown to be higher in the amount of 1[kgy/h] than these in 10[kgy/h] in air atmosphere, because the charge and discharge current can be increased as the exposure time is extended with slower rate. Under the same amount of irradiation, the charge and discharge current in oxygen atmosphere are shown to be higher than those in vacuum. This is possibly due to that the main chain can be broken by oxidation when it is exposed to the $\gamma$ -rays.

고무물성(物性)에 미치는 국산(國産) 무기충전제(無機充塡劑)의 효과(效果)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Effect of Inorganic Fillers to Rubber Properties)

  • This study deals with both effects of inorganic fillers to vulcanized rubbers such as NR, CR, EPDM, NBR & SBR and inorganic characteristics of domestic fillers in comparision with hard clay produced in the USA. The results were as follows. 1. Main ingredient of domestic clay "Ha-dong clay" was Halloysite, "No-ha Island" was Pyrophyllite with $\alpha$-Quartz, and both of "Hard clay" & "Hwa-soon clay" were proved to be Kaolinite by XRD, DT-TGA and chemical analysis by XRF. 2. Tensile strength value of SBR compounded with these fillers, was Hard clay $146kg\;f/cm^2$, Kaolinite $123kg\;f/cm^2$, Pyrophyllite $82kg\;f/cm^2$, Halloysite $80kg\;f/cm^2$, precipitated $CaCO_3\;27kg\;f/cm^2$, and ground $CaCO_3$ was $21kg\;f/cm^2$. These results showed the increase of seven times according to filler species. 3. The physical properties of non-crystalline rubbers, such as SBR, NBR & EPDM, compared with NR & CR, have been considerably changed according to crystalline phase, particle size, shape and surface structure of fillers. Especially, tensile strength value in case of SBR & EPDM, was differentiated about 1.5 times by the particle size of fillers. 4. In SBR, physical properties of rubber compounded with Kaolinite which was surface treated with fatty acid and silane, almost approach to the value of hard clay. 5. Delayed cure time of Kaolinite and decrease of rubber properties by $CaCO_3$ can be improved by blending kaolinite & $CaCO_3$ in the ratio of 2:1.

황가황형 EVA의 제조 및 고무와의 블렌드 (Preparation of Sulfur Crosslinkable EVA and Blend With Rubbers)

  • 본 연구에서는 제3의 성분으로 벤젠 술폰산계열 반응성 화합물과 ENB 및 DCPD를 사용하여 비diene계 고분자인 EVA를 특수 화학적 처리에 의하여 EVA의 주쇄에 불포화기 즉, 이중결합을 도입시켰다. 또한 이중결합도입 EVA와 diene계 범용합성고무인 CR, SBR과의 블렌드를 통하여 황가 황체를 제조하여 가황체들의 물리적 특성을 비교 검토하였다. 검토결과 원래의 EVA가 갖고 있는 green strength, 사출 압출 성형성, 접착성, 점착성, 치수안정성, 오존저항성 등의 장점은 그대로 살리면서도 황가황이 가능하여 열가소성의 EVA가 갖는 사용온도의 한계 문제와 기계적 특성 즉, 경도, 인장강도, 인장 응력, 신장율 등온 향상시켰다. 비diene계 고분자와 diene계 고분자의 블렌드에 있어서 개질에 대한 연구가 더 수행되어진다면 합성고무에서 나타나는 부족한 가공성, 내산화 안정성, 접착성 등을 크게 향상시킬 수 있을 것이며 아울러 EVA의 융해유동성을 이용한 고무제품 가공공정의 연속화가 가능하게 될 것이다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 바지선에 의해 발생하는 해상풍력발전기의 충격손상을 최소화 시키기 위한 것이다. 충격해석은 상용유한요소해석 프로그램인 ANSYS LS-Dyna를 통하여 분석하였다. 바지선속을 변화시켜 다양한 상태의 하중케이스를 고려하였고 충격방지고무의 비선형성을 고려한 시간이력해석을 수행하였으며 변형률 에너지, 전체 변형량, 플라스틱 변형률, 내부충격에너지, 영구손상된 변형량 등을 검토하였다. 충격속도에 변화에 따른 영구변형을 확인한 후 자연고무, 복합고무, 네오프렌 등의 고무시험 물성치로부터 구한 Mooney-Rivlin 상수를 적용하여 적절한 충격방지고무의 두께를 제안하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 구조물의 두께와 충격방지고무의 두께비에 대한 경향을 파악할 수 있으며 구조물의 설계에 적용할 수 있다.

Effects of a Crosslinking Agent and a Compatibilizer on the Mechanical and Rheological Properties of Waste PP and Waste Ground Rubber Tire Composites

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of a crosslinking agent and a compatibilizer on the mechanical and rheological properties of waste PP and waste ground rubber tire (WGRT) composites. In order to simulate a commercial TPV, the component of waste PP and WGRT was fixed at 30 and 70 wt%, respectively. With the simple addition of SEBS-g-MA into the waste PP/WGRT composites, the tensile strength of the composite was decreased, whereas both the elongation at break and impact strength were significantly increased because of rubbery characteristics of SEBS-g-MA. In order to further improve the properties of the composites, the waste PP/WGRT/SEBS-g-MA composites was revulcanized with dicumyl peroxide (DCP). As expected, mechanical properties of the revulcanized composites was generally improved. Especially, with 15 and 1 phr of SEBS-g-MA and DCP, elongation at break was highest value of about 183% because of the recross-linking of WGRT without chain scission of the main chain. It was found that complex viscosity of the revulcanized composite increased which might verify further vulcanization of the WGRT.

아편, 주석, 고무: 페낭 화인사회의 형성과 전개, 1786-1941 (Opium, Tin, and Rubber: The Formation of Chinese Society in Penang, 1786-1941)

  • This paper examines the formation and evolution of Chinese society in Penang over 155 years. Since it was ruled by the British in 1786, many immigrants gathered in Penang. Among them, much of the population was Chinese. It could be offered to clarify the historical process of the development of Chinese society in Penang by paying attention to the three items - opium, tin, and rubber. All the conflict and friction over these products were main causes of prosperity and decay for the Chinese society in Penang. In the early 19th century, the Chinese colossus could get their capital accumulation by taking advantage of 'opium farm'. They amassed their fortune through development of tin mines newly discovered in Perak during the late 19th century. It was the age of Chinese Colossuses deeply connected with Chinese secret societies. After the rubber plantations were developed by the Western capital in the early 20th century, the age of Chinese Colossuses was gradually fallen down. From this point of view one can be provided a new perspective on the history of Penang and the Chinese society of its own. The three scopes for history enable us to make a new interpretation about the issue of stratification within Chinese society in Penang. Especially this research focused on the economic characteristics of Chinese secret societies as 'social capital', and on the identity conflicts between traditional Strait Chinese(peranakan) elite and emerging sinkeh Chinese merchants. The identity problem between 'Laokeh' and 'Sinkeh' in the early 20th century was intentionally exaggerated by modern researchers. Their conflicts seems to be caused by different economic interests rather than identity. We need to consider again the rise and fall of Chinese society in Penang with flexible thinking.
