A Study to Efficiently Overcome GPS Jamming and GPS Spoofing by using Data Link System (데이터링크를 사용하는 체계에서 GPS 재밍(Jamming)과 GPS 기만(Spoofing)을 효과적으로 극복하기 위한 방안 연구)

  • These days many systems use the gps signal to get their own position. Because it's cheap and accurate and convenient. But, the strength of gps signal is very weak and can be easily interrupted by GPS jamming and GPS spoofing. Normally, fighter can use DME, TACAN, etc to correct their position error when GPS is not working. But, many aircraft which does not have those kinds of hardware need to pay additional cost to get it. In this paper, we propose how to overcome GPS jamming and GPS spoofing by only using data link system. The main purpose of this paper is to make the data link protocol to get an exact position information of own unit at gps error environment.

  • The DLS(Data Link System) is located in the PDTS(Payload Data Transmission Subsystem) of KOMPSAT-II, and its main function is to provide communication link with Ground Segment as a space segment. DLS receive the data of MSC, OBC from DCSU(Data Compression Storage Unit) and transmit to the Ground Station by X-Band RF link. DLS is consist of CCU(Channel Coding Unit), QTX(QPSK Transmitter, ASU(Antenna Switch Unit) CCU makes a packet for communication after several kind of data processing such like Ciphering, RS Coding. QTX transmit PDTS data by OQPSK. Modulation. ASU is the unit for reliability of antenna switching. So, DLS's function is consists of ciphering, RS coding, CCSDS packetizing, randomizing, modulation and switching to antenna. These DLS's functions are controlled by PMU(Payload Management Unit). All commands to DLS are sent by PMU and all telemetries of DLS are sent to the PMU. The PMU receives commands from OBC and sends telemetries to the OBC. The OBC communicates with Ground Station by S-Band RF link. This paper presents the on-orbit DLS operation concept through the ground segment.

Simulation of experiments on RC frames strengthened with dissipative steel links

  • The use of steel bracing systems is a popular method for the strengthening of existing reinforced concrete (RC) frames and may lead to a substantial increase of both strength and stiffness. However, in most retrofitting cases, the main target is the increase of the energy dissipation capacity. This paper studies numerically the efficiency of a specific strengthening methodology which utilizes a steel link element having a cross-section of various shapes, connected to the RC frame through bracing elements. The energy is dissipated through the yielding of the steel link element. The case studied is a typical one bay, single-storey RC frame, constructed according to older code provisions, which is strengthened through two different types of link elements. The presented numerical models are based on tests which are simulated in order to gain a better insight of the behaviour of the strengthened structures, but also in order to study the effects of different configurations for the link element. The behaviour of the strengthened frames is studied with respect to the one of the original bare frame. Moreover, the numerically obtained results are compared to the experimentally obtained ones, in order to verify the effectiveness of the applied simulation methodology.

  • In a link motion punch press, numerous links are interconnected and each link executes a constrained motion at high speed. As a consequence, dynamic unbalance force and moment are transmitted to the main frame of the press, which results in unwanted vibration. This degrades productivity and precise stamping work of the press. This paper presents an effective method for reducing dynamic unbalance in a link motion punch press based upon kinematic and dynamic analyses. Firstly, the kinematic analysis is carried out in order to understand the fundamental characteristics of the link motion mechanism. Then design variable approach is presented in order to automate the model setup for the mechanism whenever design changes are necessary. To obtain the inertia properties of the links such as mass, mass moment of inertia, and the center of mass, 3-dimensional CAD software was utilized. Dynamic simulations were carried out for various combinations of design changes on some links having significant influences on kinematic and dynamic behavior of the mechanism.

  • The Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) has two main problems to be overcome due to high mobility and frequently changing density: one is short link duration time and the other is high packet loss ratio. To solve the problems, there have been many studies to predict vehicular mobility. Most of the studies try to enhance link expire time and link reliability, however the distance between two relay nodes becomes too short to have high network throughput. In this paper, we propose a new routing algorithm that considers both link expire time and network throughput in the VANET. The proposed algorithm aims to find path with long link expire time and high throughput. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the legacy greedy algorithm and its variants.

  • Purpose of this study is enhancing usability of online video platform by analyze link-depth and advertisement frequency. In this study, researcher checked market share of video platform which publishing web-drama, and compare their link-depth and advertisement frequency. As a result, access to the latest content has two to three link-depth. So it does not worsen usability. but, if contents doesn't show on main page or search result, it requires more than five to six steps. Image advertisement show up more than twice on every platform. 'Youtube' and 'Naver TV' show up pre-roll video advertisement in video player before offering contents. In this video platform information structure, directory searching needs high link-depth level and advertisement frequency. It will increase user's bounce rate and decrease return visit rate. So researcher suggests prototype using drop-down menu to reduce link-depth and enhance information structure.

  • Designing of the apartment house in present has been contributing to private unit reflected demands and characteristics of residents. However, common space hasn't been designed in various ways compared to unit. Though the main entrance is place to link inner space and out space, to make resident identity and to communicate with neighbors, It has been produced the same type. The space design in 21st century is focusing on contents of space with the development of techniques, and we need to find applicability of new design related to digital technology in apartment house. The purpose of this study is to find applicability of interaction design at main entrance in apartment house for improvement functions of entrance. The results of this study were as follows; The main entrance is possible more active place through the interaction design that would be satisfied with residents needs and functions.

The Analysis and Implication of Link Integrity of Korean Public Institution Website from a Web Usability Perspective (웹 사용성 관점에서 공공기관 웹 사이트의 링크 유효성 분석 및 개선 과제)

  • Web usability is utilized as a standard for constructing and managing website to be useful by people of all abilities and disabilities. Link integrity is one of main criteria for web usability evaluation. Links that are found to be broken or pointing to irrelevant information lead gradual degradation of link integrity over time. This study has conducted investigation for link integrity of Korean public institution website. Among 49 website that are accessible by an automatic link checker software, 91.8% of the website has more than one broken links. Also average number of broken links is 50.5 that is 0.33% of the number of links. 29 websites consist of internal broken links. And 22 website do not provide any information on the missing page. Broken links enlower website confidence by reducing web usability as well as they prohibit web search engine not to provide information on the website. Therefore, web developers and managers need to be aware of importance of link integrity and prohibit web usability degradation by performing link validation as a web management task or periodically.

  • This paper outlines the three main fieldbus type standards: Foundation Fieldbus; WorldFIP; and the Profibus, each of which have great advantages over traditional instrumentation networking technology. The paper shows, using their specification, how they improve traditional control and data acquisition methods. By analysing the main robust, how the can be used to distribute data around the control system, provided increased diagnostic information, are easy to implement, fault confinement, and move simple control operations from the main controller to the local environment. This will help to segment industrial plants into zones which can control themselves. The main control will then be responsibility high-level control. and interzone communications.

Efficient Link Aggregation in Delay-Bandwidth Sensitive Networks (지연과 대역폭이 민감한 망에서의 효율적인 링크 집단화 방법)

  • In this paper, Service Boundary Line approximation method is proposed to improve the accuracy of aggregated link state information for source routing in transport networks that conduct hierarchical QoS routing. The proposed method is especially useful for aggregating links that have both delay and bandwidth as their QoS parameters. This method selects the main path weight in the network and transports the data to the external networks together with the aggregation information, reducing information distortion caused from the loss of some path weight during aggregation process. In this paper, the main path weight is defined as outlier. Service Boundary Line has 2k+5parameters. k is the number of outliers. The number of storage spaces of Service Boundary Line changes according to the number of outliers. Simulation results show that our approximation method requires a storage space that 1.5-2 times larger than those in other known techniques depending on outlier selection method, but its information accuracy of proposed method in the ratio between storage space and information accuracy is higher.
