  • This paper is to implement MoIP platform to send and receive video and audio at the same time by using high-performance Dual Core Processor. Even if Wall-Pad key component of a home network system is released by using embedded processors, it's lacking of performance in terms of multimedia processing and feature of video telephony through which video and voice are exchanged simultaneously. The main reason could be that embedded processors currently being used do not provide enough performance to support both MoIP call features and various home network features simultaneously. In order to solve these problems, Dual processor could be used, but in the other hands it brings another disadvantage of high cost. Therefore, this study is to solve the home automation features and video telephony features by using Dual Core Processor based on ARM 11 Processor and implement the MoIP Wall-Pad which can reduce the board design costs and component costs, and improve performance. The platform designed and implemented in this paper verified performance of MoIP to exchange the video and voice at the same time under the situation of Ethernet network.

난연 처리된 실내장식섬유의 연기 위해성 증가에 관한 연구 -비스코스 레이온 섬유 벽지를 중심으로- (A Study on the Smoke Hazard Increase of Flame-retardant-treated Interior Decorative Textile -Focused on Viscose Rayon Textile Wallcovering-)

  • This study was conducted to identify problems in domestic flame-retardant performance specifications. Currently, the domestic wallcovering anti-inflammatory regulations are not prepared for damage caused by smoke, with the carbonized area as the main function. In particular, given that smoke is the main cause of human casualties and injuries in a fire, it is reasonable that the flame density and toxicity of the wallcovering should also be the main performance indicators. The scope and method of research in this study were as follows. First, a prior study related to fire on various wallcoverings was considered. Second, it raised questions about the effects of smoke in the event of a fire and domestic anti-inflammatory performance tests. Third, textile wallcovering samples were manufactured with viscose rayon for experimental verification of the problems and tested by Korean and EU standards without flame retardant processing to analyze the differences between each regulation. Fourth, the performance of flame retardant wallcovering according to Korean standards was evaluated using smoke density and harmful gas testing methods. The results of each test were as follows. Non-fire retardant wallcovering was rejected by Korea standards. However, B-s1.d0 in Europe. Smoke density testing and harmful gas by domestic combustion processing on the same sample showed that the smoke density increased about 4.3 times more than before, and the harmful gas test showed that the suspension of the post-processing sample slowed earlier than the non-processed sample.

  • Some abnormal signals diagnostics and analysis through an important equivalent circuits modeling for passive elements under severe accident conditions have been performed. Unlike the design basis accidents, there are inherently some uncertainties in the instrumentation capabilities under the accident conditions. So, the circuit simulation analysis and diagnosis methods are used to assess instruments in detail when they give apparently abnormal readings as an accident alternative method. The simulations can be useful to investigate what the signal and circuit characteristics would be when similar to a variety of symptoms that can result from the environmental conditions such as high temperature, humidity, and pressure condition. In this paper, a new simulator through an analysis of the important equivalent circuits modeling under temperature accident conditions has been designed, the designed simulator is composed of the LabVIEW code as a main tool and the out-put file of the Multi-SIM code as an engine tool is exported to in-put file of the LabVIEW code. The procedure for the simulator design was divided into two design steps, of which the first step was the diagnosis method, the second step was the circuit simulator for the signal processing tool. It has three main functions which are a signal processing tool, an accident management tool, and an additional guide from the initial screen. This simulator should be possible that it could be applied a output signal analysis to some transient signal by variation of the resistance passive elements in the R-L-C equivalent circuit modeling under various degraded conditions in NPPs.

전차 탑재 L-밴드 펄수 도플러 레이더 설계 및 제작 (L-band Pulsed Doppler Radar Development for Main Battle Tank)

  • 전차 탑재 레이더는 기상에 관계없이 전천후로 대전차 미사일을 탐지하는 능동 방호 장치의 필수적인 센서이다. 본 논문에서는 전차 탑재 레이더의 설계, 제작 및 시험 결과를 제시한다. 레이더 시스템은 안테나부, 송수신부, 신호처리부의 3개의 LRU로 구성되며, 개발 기술은 패치 안테나, SSPA 송신기, coherent I/Q detector, DSP기반 도플러 FFT 필터, 적응 CFAR, TWS 추적기 및 위협 판단을 포함한다. 개발된 레이더 시스템의 설계 성능은 고정 및 기동 시험을 통하여 확인한다.

Hydro-structural issues in the design of ultra large container ships

  • The structural design of the ships includes two main issues which should be checked carefully, namely the extreme structural response (yielding & buckling) and the fatigue structural response. Even if the corresponding failure modes are fundamentally different, the overall methodologies for their evaluation have many common points. Both issues require application of two main steps: deterministic calculations of hydro-structure interactions for given operating conditions on one side and the statistical post-processing in order to take into account the lifetime operational profile, on the other side. In the case of ultra large ships such as the container ships and in addition to the classical quasi-static type of structural responses the hydroelastic structural response becomes important. This is due to several reasons among which the following are the most important: the increase of the flexibility due to their large dimensions (Lpp close to 400 m) which leads to the lower structural natural frequencies, very large operational speed (> 20 knots) and large bow flare (increased slamming loads). The correct modeling of the hydroelastic ship structural response, and its inclusion into the overall design procedure, is significantly more complex than the evaluation of the quasi static structural response. The present paper gives an overview of the different tools and methods which are used in nowadays practice.

  • Recently, the plant industries are being activated and plant control systems use various technologies. Because the optimized design for the plants is very important for the reducing of operation and maintenance costs, automatic control systems become more important. Plant control systems consist of the master controller, the plant networks, the programming environment for engineering, monitoring software and the field devices. The control systems should have reliability, availability and safety. Modular architecture of hardware and software makes flexible configuration of the control systems. Each component should have diagnostic functions. It follows industrial standards and makes open systems. Open systems increase accessibility against the data which is distributed in the plants. The controllers including processor and communication modules use the up-to-date technology. They have real time and fault tolerant function by duplicating processors or networks. It also enables to make the distributed control systems. The distributed architecture makes more scalable main control system. Automatic control systems can be operated with better performance. In this paper, we analyzed the requirements of the seawater desalination plants and made some consideration facts for developing the optimized controller. Also we described the design concept of the main controller, which consists of several modules. We should validate and complement the design for the reliability and better performance.

  • A buncher is one of the main pieces of equipment in the medium energy beam transport line (MEBT) for China accelerator driven sub-critical system (C-ADS) Injector II. To focus the beam longitudinally and match the beam for the acceptance of the superconducting linac section, two room temperature quarter wave resonator (QWR) bunchers with frequency of 162.5 MHz have been designed as parts of the MEBT. According to the beam transmission matching of the MEBT and the geometric parameters requirements of bunchers, the unique mechanical structure and the main processing technology of buncher cavities and their couplers and tuners are described in this paper. The fabrication of bunchers and their parts have been completed and tested at high power, the test results agree well with the design requirements. These bunchers work well for about two years in Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

중공축 소재를 이용한 다단계 냉간압출 공정의 설계 (A Process Sequence Design of the Mulit-Step Cold Extrusion using Thick-Wall Pipes)

  • The current five-stage cold extrusion process to produce an axle-housing is investigated for the purpose of improved process. The main goal of this study is to obtain an appropriate reduced process sequence which can produce the required part most economically without tensile crack-ing workpiece buckling and overloading of the tools. The current process sequence is simulated and design criteria are examined. during the simulation several remeshings are done due to severe mesh distortions, Based on the results of simulations of the current five-stage process, design strategy for improving the process sequence are developed using the thick hollow pipes. The finished product of an axle-housing is produced in two operations and one annealing treatment while the conventional sequence consists of five operations and one annealing treat-ment. Also die loads of the new process are compared with those of the current one.

  • This study deals with the cold forging process design for shaft in the main part of automobile motors with rectangular deep groove. In forging process, the accuracy and die lift is very important because it have influence on reduction of the production cost and the increase of the production rate. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the manufacturing process of shaft by cold forging., process variables are the cropped face angle of billet and the eccentric load of punch. The former is derived from cropping test, the latter is occurred by clearance between container and preform. Also, grooved preform select the process variable for decrease in punch deflection. We investigate that a deflection of punch and a deformation of preform to every process variables. Through this investigation, we suggest the optimal preform and process design, expect to be improved the tool life in forging process.

  • Tailor-welded blanks are used for forming of automobile structural skin components. The main objective of this study is to achieve weight and cost reduction in manufacturing of components. For successful application of tailor-welded blanks, design of initial welded blanks and prediction of the welding line movement are critical. The utilization of the backward tracing scheme of the finite element method shows to be desirable in design of initial welded blanks for net-shape production and in prediction of the welding line movement. First the design of the initial blank in forming of welded thick sheet with isotropy is tried, and it appears successful in obtaining a net-shape stamping product. Based on the first trial approach, the backward tracing scheme is applied to anisotropic tailored blanks. The welding line movement is also discussed.
